Min SAP installation procedure

Hi all,
Can any body pass me the installation procedure for mini sap
where can i download this? Is it avialable for free download or do we need to order in the market place? What are the requirements?

Follow these steps:
you should enough space in your C drive (20gb)
1) Install OS(Windows XP)
2)Install Microsoft Loopback adapter - Goto Control panel->Add new hardware->Choose Network adapter ->Microsoft loop back adapter.
3)Goto My Network places, you can able to see LAN. Give IP address.
4) First install Kernal CD for that you have to click R3SETUP.exe(don't know exactly, but setup file start with R3SETUP) file in your , it will ask you Data1 cd and then Data2 CD.
5)Finally again it will ask kernal CD.
6)Finally install GUI.

Mini Sap 4.6 installation error at 41% HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I am trying to install mini sap 4.6 evertime with no luck. I tried it from cd and after going through all websites I also tried from C:\ .
Both the time I got following error msg:

SAP 4.6c installation procedure needed

Hi everybody,
this is the first time i've posted on the forum. Could someone please provide me with the installation procedure of SAP. I have a AMD 3000+ system with 512 mb RAM and 80GB hard drive on a windows xp and windows 2000 dual boot platform. I really would appreciate the help.

Actually, I am really shy whether I should ask this question here in this forum or not.. I am really worried too. But I have to ask..
I recently learned SAP and my company which gave training has given me some CDs like 13 or 14 of them to load the SAP 4.7E software in my computer. But I dont know how to install the software.....??? Can anyone tell me how to go for installing the software, how long will it take and what are the system requriments?? Also, I heared that installing is a tediuos job and step by step procedure has to be followed.

Hello Ashok,
If your company has given you the software means...then they must had given SAP GUI to install on your machine so that you can connect to their network and work on their boxes.
If this is not sap gui...then it must an SAP version with lot of restrictions. I am talking about SAP software (MINI SAP) which we can buy from SAP website. It is basic one to learn some coding.
If it is none of the above...then let me tell you the system requirements just to help you to gain an overview over the process and requirements.
you should have minimum 512 MB of RAM and 40 GB harddisk memory.
The installation can take more than a whole day to my knowledge and there is lot of other stuff which you may have to do like changing some files, dealing with work processes and all that which I am not aware of.
May be a basis guy can help you better in this regard.

Error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite

I am getting error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite on my laptop. I trying to install this version under Windows Xp. I tried so many times to rectify this error but no use. i followed the instruction in the readme file.The error is below in quote.

Error in SAP Installation in phase 12 Create database

I´m stuck on sap installation main process.
I´m install SAP ERP 2005 SR2 (= ECC 6.0 SR2) with OS windows 2003 server X64 and the Database is Oracle 10.2.0.4 !
I´m facing with error in phase 12 of 44. That is in Create Database phase as you can see in following images:

2: The ora_sql_results.log have a big log ... I´m going put here the last entries of log: It´s possible to send you the log file of this using a personal message?! ...and so, in this way, you could see better the log file!!

Mini SAP 7.01 under Windows Vista

Hi every one,
I wanna share my experience with you for installing version 7.01 under Vista. This might help you.
I have installed the newest version ([Message from Klaus Keller| of Mini SAP under Windows Vista and, believe it or not, it all went correct. It is important that you download version Netweaver 7.01, since previous versions are not supported in Vista.
In the download section (http://www.sdn.sap.com/downloads/netweaver/abap/disclaimer.html) you find in file part 1 the description of process in a HTML & PDF file. You must pay much attention to what is described there; otherwise, it might happen that the installation process is not sucessful.
I´m not gonna describe the whole installation process. This is already in the download files. Just a reference of what I did:
1 ) make a backup of your information and have your Windows Vista disk at hand. It might happen that you have to format the computer´s hard disk if something goes wrong (this happened to me a couple of times in previous versions of Mini SAP and Windows XP). This is so, because it is impossible to erase some files and information in the registry (even with the Registry Clean Tool that is also downloadable in SDN). A new installation try was hopeless in those versions.
2) shut the firewall and antivirus off before you start.
3) don´t try to name your computer using special characters like - _ / & % and so on; additionally, name should be max. 13 characters long.
4) you need a user account for windows, even if you´re the only one to use the computer and you must assign a password to that user. You need it once you start the server through the SAP management console.
5) Install the Microsoft loopback adapter
once installed, system names it LAN-connection2 and you must asign a permanent IP address. Press button characteristics for its element Internet protocol version 4, where you enter:
IP-Address 10.10.0.10
Subnetwork mask 255.255.255.0
Don´t touch element Internet protocol version 6 !!
6) file hosts under c:windowssystem32driversetc --> add an entry for the host like this:

You must have administrator rights and change the status write-protected for being able to modify it.
7) Process takes less than 1 hour, mostly without user interference.
8) if desired, install Adobe LifeCycle Designer before starting with SAP GUI. It happened to me once (Windows XP) that the installed SAP GUI was erased during installation of LifeCycle. It all then turned into a big mess and I had better to format the hard disk.
9) install SAP GUI on your computer, which is part of the downloaded files.
If installation was sucessful, it might happen that you experience a problem when starting the application server (start --> SAP Netwaever 7.01 --> NSP --> Start application server). You get a red screen with a couple of error messages ([read my post|;). It is not a very serious problem, ´cause you can start the server with the SAP management console anyway.
Hope this helps you when installing Mini SAP 7.01 in your computer.

I am having a heck of a time with this install. My OS is Windows Vista Ultimate.
I've read and re-read several forums and tried all the recommendations.
I've tried installing many time now and each time the install runs to 19% and I get a message " stopping Xserver".
Then it runs to 20% and I get a message "preparing packages for installation".
Then it runs for about 3 seconds and I receive the following:

How to install mini SAP in MS SQL Server 2005 Express?

Hi, is anyone know how to install the mini SAP v4.6 by using MS SQL Server 2005 Express?
I get error when connecting to the Database at 88% of the installation.
Please help. Thank you.

I do not think you can install miniSAP 4.6D on MS SQL server 2005 express.
1) you need the up todate patch to run on MSSE. If SAP did the work to allow it to run, it would be patch 55+. As supplied it is patch zero.
2) You can install on MSDE (MS SQL server 2000) patch 4. Look for my post INFO: Installing MiniSAP 4.6D on a named instance of MSDE (MS-SQL).
3) after the install on MSDE SP4 you would have to change the database code page to 'BIN2' look for the OSS note.
4) then you can start patching through to the most recent.
The main reason you cannot do this is MS have changed the version key format to include '.6' as extra info which SAP cannot interprate, too many dots.

I am fresher in SAP and I want to install Mini SAP on my home desk-top for practicing ABAP, I will be grateful if anybody send`s me links for step-by-step installation guide and another question is, it is to install Mini SAP using Oracle 10g Express Edition?

SAPDB is in-built or I will have to install it seperately, If I will have to install it seperately from where I will get either of these maxdb or sapdb?
