Mini Only Starts Up Every Other Attempt

This is a mid 2007 Mini 2,1. It has been fine up until a few days ago. I was away and left it unplugged. When I returned, I plugged it in and started it. It went to a blank grey screen and sat. I pressed the power button again, and it immediately turned off. Pressed it again, and it started successfully.
Now, the same pattern repeats consistently. It starts up properly every other time I try it, and sits with a grey screen on the alternate attempts.
I cannot recall doing any recent updates, pref changes, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Reset the SMC and PRAM. Sometimes they get scrambled and need to be reset:
SMC:
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM:
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

I have make a Merge file from Pages. When I go to print this, the Header and Graphic is only printing on every other page. Can anyone advise?

That is very hard to follow.
We have no idea what you are merging, nor what header or graphic you are referring to as we can not see the document.
My guess is that you are talking about something like a letterhead which has a logo and address only on the first page and none on the following pages.
Each merge is probably running over the 1st page and onto a following blank page. If you want the "Header and Graphic" to appear on subsequent pages as well then you will need to create master pages/objects for the following pages to suit.
This is how you go about doing it for a standard letterhead and follower:

Only starts after a few attempts

Anyone faced this problem before?
Macbook doesn't start immediately, only after a few attempts... Like the board doesn't get power immediately....
What I've done:
1. Replaced SSD
2. Replaced battery
3. Upgraded from Mountain Lion to Yosomite
4. Reset PRAM & SMC
Any ideas would be grateful

Don't Verify it. Repair it. Repair the permissions. Reinstall Yosemite. If you still have the problem after this, then you need to see about erasing the drive and reinstalling Yosemite. If the problem persists after this, then your drive is failing.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
     1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
         with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
         After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
         a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
     2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
         button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
         After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
         size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
         partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
         and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
         (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
     3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
         with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
     4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
         Assistant. After you finish Setup Assistant will complete the installation after which
         you will be running a fresh install of OS X. You can now begin the update process
         by opening Software Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your
         installation current.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. Re-download and install Yosemite and the 10.10.1 update.

2960 does not start on every first attempt

Hi,
I have a Cisco 2960 PoE-24 that every time I connect the power cable for the first time (after a long pause) it freezes with the System Light on and not blinking and not giving anything in the console.

I am afraid this is a hardware fault. It could be many things - a faulty power supply, a cold solder joint, a capacitor at the end of its lifetime, an IC slowly dying... I do not think this is a software issue, as even with totally removed IOS, the switch would at least end up sitting in the bootloader prompt. If you say that the switch remains completely silent on its console since the very moment it is plugged into mains then it means that even the bootloader code is not executed properly.
I am sorry to disappoint you. Perhaps someone else would have an idea what else to try out but as far as I can tell, the switch does not behave reliably and is probably due to be replaced.

HtmlText anchors respond only on every other click.

I'm using Flex 3.5 and I have a Text object with an anchor set in the htmlText property. The link only works on every other click. Is this a known problem in Flex?

I've done a simple case and I've found out that I get this problem when the htmlText is inside a TabNavigator object. If it's outside it works as expected.

I think it's a focus issue. You have to click once on the link for the tab to gain focus. Is there a good work around for this?

Safari opens only these forums and other Apple pages?

I had to remove the router from my iMac last night, so I set the Network panel to work with the DSL modem only. After doing so, Safari only connets and opens the Apple forums and other Apple pages, nothing else. Also, Sotware Update won't work.
I have reinstalled the router, and right now the Network panel indicates that the network is working, and that the computer is connected to the Internet via the router and modem. It does not matter how many times I "Create A new Location" and then apply it. Safari won't work with any of the bookmarks, except for the Apple bookmarks.
I restarted the computer from the (backup) external hard drive and ran Safari from there, and it works fine. However, I followed the advise of an Apple Technician on a chat, and was told that I could drag Safari from the external HD to the internal, and replace Safari with it. I did so, and then restarted from the internal HD, placed the Safari alias in the trash, created a new alias and put it in the Dock, and used Safari. But Safari is having the same problems.
It seems that both Safari, and Software Update follow the same path from the computer to the Internet, so i am trying to figure with files in the System have screwed-up.
Do you have any ideas of what the problem with Safari may be?

I will respond to myself to keep you informed of the progress with my problems and Safari/Software Update:
1. I created another account, but again there was no change with Safari nor with Software Update. I am certain that the problem is related to Software, perhaps Preferences and such.
2. However, since I don't know enough about OS X to mess around with it, I decided to start from the LaCie external HD as I did before, and proceeded to perform a "Smart Update" with SuperDuper. Before the Smart Update, I printed the last unread e-mail in the mailboxes, since I know that SuperDuper would erase those. I backed the iMac's HD a couple of days ago, before encountering all of these problems with Safari, so all the files and applications are fresh and in good order.
3. I am replaying to myself using Safari, after I restarted from the iMac's internal HD. Safari now works as well as ever, and I am certain that Sotfware Update will work fine, too.
I hope that Apple takes notes on the problems several of us are having with Safari. Just for the records: This version of Safari is the latest in Mac OS 10.4.2. A week or so ago, I upgraded OS 10.3.9 to OS 10.4, and had quite a lot of trouble with the Network panel. Regardless of the settings to use a router and modem, or jut the DSL modem, a connection to the server could not be established, and whenever such connection was possible, Safari would only open the Apple pages, and Software Update would not work.
I ended-up erasing the hard drive and reinstalling Mac OS 10.4 three more times, for a total of four, before I could get Safari and Software Update to work. On the last attempt, the only difference from the other attempts was that this time I didn't dare use Safari until every little update was installed by Software Update. Now, please note that the problems I had then were not exactly the same, since this time Network Diagnostics passed the connection test with flying colors. The previous times, a connection could not be established 99% of the time. But even though the problems were not exactly the same, I believe that whatever happens, to Safari, FireFox (FireFox was not working), and Software Update is related to whatever path these applications follow toward an Internet connection.

Call Audio On and Off with every other call

My wife both have the Samsung Intensity 3. We like the phones but every since getting them the call sound only comes on every other call whether going out or receiving. Even just yesterday I was stuck in the desert with limited reception and had to call 911 and the call sound wasn't on which was awful when I would only have sporatic 30 second windows of service.
This is my second new Samsung Intensity II after they replaced it 2 weeks ago and I don't know what the problem is. As I said, my wife has the exact same issue. And it happens everywhere we go not just at home.
I don't know what to do other than get another phone model.

No the sound comes back on. On the second attempt at calling the sound would be on. My previous device did not have this issue.
Since this problem was constant and we couldn’t any longer to resolve the issue we opted to get a different device. We switched to the LG Extravert and now the issue does not occur at all. The phone works exactly like it should.
So I don’t know why the Samsung Intensity III was having so many issues, especially after getting another new Intensity after the first one did the same thing.

2.2 Music Video Playlist problem-no audio (every other MusicVideo)

I updated to 2.2 over the weekend so that I could have MusicVideo Playlists (plus all the other enhancements). BUT, the audio on the musicvideos only plays on EVERY OTHER musicvideo. Each one works individually. The playlist works properly on the iMac that syncs to the AppleTV, but the audio only plays on every other one.
I've tried mucking with the Audio settings (the auto-level check item), but to no avail. If I start on the first one, only items 1, 3, 5, .... have audio (video is fine). If I start on item 2, then the even numbered videos have audio.....
Any idea what's going on here? Suggestions?

just my 2 cents...but i have about 550+ and I havent seen (heard) a problem w/ any of them yet. Encoded almost all of them with either iSquint or VisualHub on the mp4 setting...with or without h.264

Mac mini auto start pblm

My Mac mini system is not starting itself in every power cycle.
We are using this system for product demo and the sytem kept inside the fixture.
So everyday morning we had to open the fixture just press the POWER button of the system . If you can help me to make the system as auto start on powerup. Kindly help

go to energy saver in the system preferences, go to schedule, set the mini to start up every day when you need it to.
you can also schedule the computer to shut down or sleep in the same place.

Firefox crashes every time i try to open any page - do you know why this is happening - it only started when i downloaded the new verion of firefox.

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.

Issues when printing a website of multiple pages, only prints every other page

I have recently started using Firefox as since using windows 8 have found a few problems with explorer.
I sell a great deal on ebay and in order to print my invoices, ebay create a webpage with all of them on.
I have attempted to print this through firfox and it only seemed to print every other page fully(1,3,5,7 etc.)
Pages 2,4,6 etc. would have just the first couple of text lines on but nothing else, it even shows it like this on the print preview. can you help?

My keyboard is only registering every other stroke when i edit

I'm a writer and I just got Macbook Pro. (2.4ghz core 2 duo)
I really like the machine, but it really just isn't working for writing.
When I go to edit any of my text I've already written, it only recognizes every other keystroke from the arrow keys or the delete key.
It's driving me nuts. Editing is a big part of writing and I currently have to hit twice as many keystrokes to navigate text than I would otherwise have to.
It's intermittent though, sometimes after a restart it works fine for a while.
Happens same with the onboard keyboard as with the apple usb keyboard.
It never happens in the web browser or editing in a window like this submission form, but when it starts it's in text edit and subetha edit.
I wonder if this might have something to do with X11, which I run a lot of the time?
Any suggestions would be helpful. I need to be able to edit consistently.

How to read a text file and only output every other line?

Firefox prints only every other page on a bulk print run, why?

I use Firefox to bulk print Ebay invoices. It's been just fine for years. But 2 days ago it started printing just every other page in full. Intervening pages had only the top 20% printed (headers and footers are set to blank), and it prints one extra blank sheet at the end of the print run. 'Fit to page width' is enabled. I print at A5 size. When I check print preview it shows the problem exactly. The preview confirms 80% of every second page is missing, and there is an extra blank page at the end. Anyone else have this problem?

When you print, check to see which presets and defaults are selected. It could be a stored preference to only print every other.
In order to reset these preferences in Firefox:
