Mini Player Not Remembering Position

I like to keep the iTunes mini-player in the lower right-hand corner of my screen, and until today it would always remember that position when I clicked the zoom button. Now, every time I click the zoom to go to the mini-player, it centers it on the screen. I have not done anything to update my system since yesterday. All the latest updates and fixes are applied. Any ideas?

Moved it to a new location a couple times and that fixed it.

Hey, I have an iBook G4 with the latest OS X version of Tiger and of iTunes. However, for some reason, I do not have an option in the Advanced preference to turn my iTunes window into the mini player. Oddly enough, I do have the option to keep the mini player floating above other windows. Is there some new feature in 6.0.1 that eliminates the mini player? Is my iTunes flawed?

I've got another tip.
To make the mini-player zoom to real 'mini':
Click (and hold) on the bottom right corner of the mini-player and move the mouse to the left.
At a certain point the window will collaps to show only the control buttons.
To expand the mini-player to show the song info again, click on the bottom right corner, hold, and drag to the right.

Audiobook playback does not remember position

I like to get audiobooks from the library and rip them to my ipod. I am very good about setting the "compilation", "remember position", and "skip when shuffling" flags to yes. I have never had a problem with my ipod. Now, on my iphone, it forgets where I was sometime after midnight, or the next day. During the same day, it remembers fine for example I like to listen while commuting. It remembers where I left off from the morning commute, but the next day, in the morning, I have to fast forward to the spot I left it at the day before. Please help.

I get CD books from the library. There are usually 10-15 in a typical unabridged novel. I put the CD in with the parameter to show CD only. I select ALL tracks, join them, and then import. After all CDs are on board, I have to edit the info for all of them, and this is where I set the remember position flag. I then have a Smart Playlist that looks for this title only, and for those tracks that have a playcount of zero. It works very nicely on my IPod. I can't figure why it loses position. This morning it was right where I left off.

Mini Player keeps resetting Position

so i just just updated to itunes 9.2... whenever i switch from mini play to full view and then back the mini players position resets to the middle of my **** screen.... i just want to configure it so that when i switch back to the miniplayer it will return to where i previously placed it on my desktop.

Wow... i'm STUNNED.
I was having the same problem, however with the MAIN WINDOW, and it would reset to center every time I would launch the application. Setting the position within a few pixels of the edge of the screen worked (after a few tries) and now it's launching in the correct wrong position (i.e. not the place where I really want it).
But hey, at least it's not centered! So I'll take the lesser of the two evils for now...

On the positive side, the workaround did the trick. Thanks!!
On the negative side, the fact that this workaround exists is totally unacceptable and proves that this is a bug.
Guess all their QA folks for the Window product run it maximized or something.
Anyway, I had already submitted feedback via before hitting the forums (backwards, I know...), so hopefully if enough folks report the problem, maybe they'll actually fix it on the next update. Or two.

External Discs; Wndows not Remembering Positions/Size...

OK, this is driving me nuts: for some reason, my Mac won't remember the position/size of a window after I close one and open the app back up again, nor will things like external discs, ipods, etc. show up on my desktop when they are connected (ipods show up for an instant, then disappear.) It worked fine for a while then, one day, both things just gave up the ghost--any ideas what might be causing this?
Note: Yes, I have Prefs in Finder set to display extrenal drives, ipods, etc.

Ipad mini will not remember passwords after update to iOS 8.0.2

My ipad used to remember forum user names/passwords but after updating first to ios 8 then to iso 8.02 it no longer remembers them, I have gone to Safari then passwords/auto fill and all of the green sliders are activated.
I tried login on then creating a new short cut but it does not help.....can anyone help?

Adobe flash player not remembering settings

i just bought a brand new hp laptop and im having some difficiculty with adobe flash player 10. i am running it on vista x64 and in firefox but whenever i run something like gmail's video chat, it asks me everytime to 'allow' it. i have tried going to the settings and allowing the gmail to 'allow' access to my webcam and voice recorder and click on 'always' but it never actually saves the changes. the same is true when i come to the adobe site and try to change the global settings. nothing i change in any of the settings will save. its pretty frustrating i tried looking into it some and it sounded like the problem may be that im running it at x64. im not sure if this is the case tho. im clueless, hence this thread. also, i'm not sure if there is any correlation, but i can't get the music player on myspace profiles to show up, not a major concern to me tho.

How to tell Adobe Media Player NOT remember played videos?

Whenever I try to play videos, e.g. *.flv files. Adobe Media Player remember it.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Adobe Media Player
2. Click "My Favorites" on top menu.
3. Click "My Personal Videos" tab.
Now, I have to remove them manually.
I checked the Options and the online help. No clue so far.
Any settings that I missing can do so?
Or any trick you know of?
Please advise.

The player was installed while installing CS5 Production Premium.

One of my programs needed Flash Player and downloaded it for me! So, Problem solved. Thanks to all who are reading this. I would delete it if I could.

11.0.4 podcast artwork in mini player not showing chapter artwork

This has still not been fixed. Is there any plan to fix this for those of us using iTunes on Mac and PC for podcasts?

What an unfortunate redesign. I just posted my first podcast and this had me stumped. Like the rest of you I worked hard to create interesting visuals for the chapter points. There's no way that new listeners will know what to do. This means every podcast will now have to include a "tech walk through" at the beginning of each episode. Thanks for the info Roger, it cleared up a lot of confusion!

Finder not remembering position within folder

I have my Finder set up to automatically open the Applications folder in Icon view. If I scroll down to the Utilities folder (or anywhere else) open it and then click back, I'm back at the top of Applications folder. It's a small, but frustrating problem. I thought 10.5.1 would fix it, but it didn't.

This, and the inability to remember your preferred type of view for each folder (without manually setting it on a folder by folder basis), are apparently designed in behaviors.
Apple's Finder UI team have officially "jumped the shark".

Hi Alicia, at the very left of the MiniPlayer, under the "x" is a rectangle called "Switch from MiniPlayer". Click it and it won't show again until you click "Switch to MiniPlayer" above and to the right of the search box. I'm on a Mac at the moment, but it should same or similar

A message asking me to sign in to ICloud pops up constantly, but I always just hit cancel. However, now I am unable to access Find My IPad. How do I get my ICloud account changed and registered to be under my current Apple ID (email) and password? It is possible to set the device as New Ipad?

Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

Mini player does not work, can only switch playlists by closing and restarting iTunes

For the last few versions of iTunes, my mini player does not work, only choices are large window and larger window. Also, if I am listening to a playlist and hit the pause button, then switch to another playlist, the old playlist keeps playing when I hit play. The only way I can figure out to switch playlists is to quit and relaunch iTunes.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
