Mini still in Production?

Is the iPod Mini still in production today? I mean is it still being manufactured? The reason why I'am asking this is because, I don't see it advertised on the Apple website.

They quit making the Min because it was replaced by the Nano.
That is, if you went to the Apple store to buy one, they would probably claim they dont carry them.
Well, they wouldn't claim they don't carry them.
They simply don't carry them. They are not manufactured anymore nor are they sold by Apple.
On occasion, you may be able to get a refurbished Mini at the online Apple store.
However, if you already have a mini, and you have insurance on it like I do, if you wanted to trade it in for a new one(like if the battery is dead), then they will replace it with a new one.
They will repair your original one or replace it with a refurbished one. I doubt they have any new ones laying around anymore to be used for replacements.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • Are 4 hour batteries still in production for the macbook pro?

My 2 hour battery is starting to only charge to 1 hr 45 and sometimes less. It's like I have to keep it constantly hooked to the power chord. Are 4 hour batteries still in production?

Apple is still producing batteries for your MBP, yes. The "higher capacity" (though certainly not double!) batteries from FastMac are also still available.

Another item to consider is do you and your husband have your own iTunes accounts?  If so then log out of iTunes on your old Macbook and log back in with your husbands ID and password.  If not this post will self destruct in 10, 9, 8, ......

    Helllo to eveyone,
I am new to this site and all. I am from Dhaka, bangladesh.
I have a Hp mini 110-3500 product that i  need to replace the battery.
But i have difficalty to find the battery in local store that provide the battery or parts. As they dont have the battery i need. I have serche the other local market too, who sell HP product or part. they dont have the battery.
So how can i get the battery, is there any way i can purchage the battery from hp or their distributor or whatever available in bangladesh.
    Thankfully yours,
    ParveJ Hossain.

Cell replacement is very easy & as long they use decent cells such as Sanyo, LG, Samsung etc it is very good & safe option & better than new old stock complete battery.
I can find links to generic replacement but indeed hard find genuine hp battery to ship to your region.
What is your battery model number ?

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

I'm afraid that you can't sync content to an iOS device via Home Sharing (you can only stream it to an iOS device via Home Sharing).

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. If nothing, this means your iPhone has a hardware fault, most likely and hopefully battery.

  • Z77A-GD65 Z77A-GD80 still in production?

    Hi,
Does anyone know if the Z77A-GD65 or Z77A-GD80 are still in production or have been discontinued? If they have been discontinued, does anyone know exactly when?
I'm pretty sure Amazon UK were still selling both  back in February and I kept meaning to pick one up for a spare Sandy I have, but now it looks like they're unavailable, (although Amazon's page for the GD-80 says it's temporarily out of stock, but not sure if that's accurate).
Cheers for any info on this.

No, but Z77A-GD65 is still available in large stocks all over the world.
Talking about Z77, only Z77A-G41 and Z77A-G43 are still under production.

  • IPod Mini STILL dead, though appearing briefly as a zombie.

Way back on Dec 17, 2007, I wrote
"I have an iPod mini 4GB (Second Generation). It has performed without a hitch up until a couple weeks ago. It's usually left plugged in to its AC adaptor, but had been unpowered -- AND unplayed -- for a week. When I went to use it, I couldn't get anything to show up on the screen. I hooked it up to my PBG4, where it opened in iTunes looking absolutely normal, but no joy on the iPod screen itself. I could transfer songs back and forth between the iPod and iTunes on the PBG4. I tried charging on the AC power adapter. I did the "5Rs" (repeatedly). I dumped all the songs off the iPod and did a reset after doing the hold-button shuffle. Every once in a while, when I did the two-finger reset with the Menu and center buttons, I'd be rewarded with a briefly backlit (?) iPod screen, and once, a quickly-appearing-then-fading Apple logo. Other than those ghostly visitations, no joy whatsoever: the iPod still happily shows up in iTunes, but won't operate on it's own a-tall."
And there the matter rested, until two weeks ago. About 2 months back, I thought I'd try plugging the iPod Mini into the Power Adapter just for old times' sake. Nothing happened, despite another round or seven of the 5Rs, the 4H, and the Aztec 2-Step. I gave up and just left it there.
Imagine my gobsmacked astonishment, then, when 2 weeks ago, passing by the wretched thing, I happened to notice the "full-charge" battery icon on the display screen -- the first sign of life from the display screen since December of 2007. Could it be? I wondered? I hooked it up to my PBG4, and danged if it didn't open iTunes, allow me to add music (and update the software to 1.4.1), and when I disconnected, it played merrily away just as if the financial meltdown had never happened. "Hot diggity!" thought I, an Apple product that actually came back to life after its warranty had long since expired!"
For two weeks, everything was oojah-***-spiff, and I was rockin' out every day to some swell tunes... but yesterday, having done nothing different to it, the Mini once again went into suspended animation, with the exact same behaviors I detailed in December of '07. Once again I did the 5Rs, etc., and -- except for one brief and tantalizing glow of the Mini's display, which faded faster than the Cheshire Cat's grin -- the object seemed as lifeless as Rush Limbaugh's frontal lobe.
The thing still showed up in iTunes (the iPod, not Limbaugh. Brrrrrr....), so I bit the bullet and did a Restore. iTunes dutifully wiped everything out, and left me with the 1.4.1 software, but the iPod still gave no joy. I could put songs on it, but it would not play, period.
What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a-goin' on here?
I'd really like to believe someone from Apple will read this, and actually be concerned enough to offer some constructive ideas other than the EAL (Endless Apple Litany) of "Buy a NEW one!" but I'm afraid I'm too old and too Mac-experienced (since my 1988 or '89 IIF) to really believe that will happen. Ahhh, the illusions of one's youth! How bitterly they sting in our Golden Years!

Not too sure, but it is the battery needs to be replaced, normally it run around 18 month before a new battery replaced

  • Need Advice: New Intel Mac Mini Still In The Box

    Hi!
Okay.. I know... I have several posts going here as I have several issues I am trying to solve rather simultaneously. Thanks for being patient with me.
I have my old 1.25 Ghz PowerPC Mac Mini running 10.4.11 and all was well and happy. Then Security Update 2007-009 happened and all went to ....well... you know and, yes, it was bad! Went to Apple, got it running of sorts as they re-installed the OS, but they used an old version of OS X. (10.4.7. Can you believe that?) This caused other problems. It continues to have all sorts of difficulties, as I have had to get applications to re-recognize that the computer is back up to 10.4.11. Currently, I am struggling with trying to get iTunes to access it's music folders on the external hard drives. Realized that I hadn't even gotten around to figuring out whether or not some of my other applications work, like some of the games and third party, etc.
The thing is I got a new Intel Mac Mini for Christmas and it's still in the box because as I suspected I need to get my old mac perfect again before I can even think about migrating stuff over to the new Mac. But.. here's the thing... it's starting to look pretty much like 2008 will come and go before I can get the old Mac ready enough to take the new Mac out of the box. This really is rather silly!
Now... I can't get the old Mac to see the music and it made me think. I have all of my iTunes music and iPhoto backed up on an external hard drive (I used Apple's "Back-up" software to do it) and in addition to this two complete copies of the iTunes music and iPhoto photos albums on two separate external hard drives. Should I just forget using migration assistant? Can I get my music and my photo albums into the new mac directly from the external hard drives?
Or...can I use "back up" to restore the music and photos into the new Mac?
I am starting to think that the best way to get my new Mac running is not risk it by attaching it to my old Mac. What do you think?
Thank you so much for any advice or experiences you can give. -Charlotte

I know that I am vacillating back and forth as to what to do. Thanks so much for being patient with me. All of your advice is really appreciated and I am at least closing in on deciding on my strategy. Probably will follow your first response advice, especially considering that some of the third party apps may not have updates to handle Leopard quite yet. Anyway... it's a good strategy since everything is on the externals anyway.
    You can say that fine.
Ha ha ha.... yes, I've been messing around with computers since my parents bought our first Apple computer back in 1979. Just like you, I've never had a serious problem with any of the computers and we've had them all, running all sorts of things from the Original Apple and Apple IIc (which my parents still have and it still runs!) to the Commodore and all the Windows permeations and then on to the Macs running Jaguar, Panther and Tiger, probably because we've always been careful with the machines and what we install in them and how we update them. I have always kept my computers on UPS' and un-plug them when storms brew outside. As it is I am still using my eight year old Windows 98 computer, (for games mostly) and it still runs quicker than most peoples windows pcs and it's only a 740 Megahertz.
I haven't had to re-install anything, especially on this lovely little Mac Mini until now and wouldn't have in this situation, had I known more. I had taken the little Mac Mini in for a Procare "Tune-Up," only four days before the big up-date disaster. Not sure what they did to my mac in the tune-up but the guy gave me back the machine assuring me that the computer was perfect with no problems in answer to my asking "were they sure?" Even after the Genius Bar techs at the Apple Store re-installed the OS to fix the big problems it seems that no one ever thought to run verify disk. Had the Genius Bar techs at the time of the tune-up done this, or at least told me to do this, the last security update would not have wrecked so much havoc. It was only after I got the machine back from Apple that second time that I found that the directory had been corrupted when I ran disk verify. Actually it is amazing that I have had this little Mac Mini for so long and so not have had any problems on it that I would be able to go so long without having to know this really pretty important aspect of keeping one's mac in good running shape. I had been running maintenance scripts and permissions verify and repair and thought that was all there was to it. Silly! You know... that really is a testimony of how nice these little machines are.
Anyway... experience is a good teacher and I have learned so much it's actually been great! This stuff is pretty interesting.
    Now... on to Leopard!
Thanks so much and you have a great New Year! -Charlotte

  • External backup drive will not mount on new mac mini. still works fine on the old one. new one is running mavericks

I just bought new-to-me mac mini running OSX mavericks.
Trying to migrate from old mac mini using simpletech external hard drive.
It still mounts on my old mac mini (system 10.5) but will not mount or show up when I plug it in to the new mac mini running mavericks.
    Any ideas?

What exactly shows in System Profiler>Hardware>USB for those drives?
Boot from the Install Disc & see if they show up, not grayed out in Disk Utility.
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
We were thinking along the same lines. While at home I dug up a firewire enclosure and put a bootable GUID formatted drive in it (that I had in one of the usb enclosures) and started her computer holding down the option key and then chose to boot from the external firewire. All usb drives are now mounting upon connection. I asume that her drive has bad sectors on it (even though the SMART status says it's OK) and is not loading all the drivers properly for USB to mount. I was suspicious from the beginning that the OS was corrupt when she first had me look at it. It was at that point that I booted it in target mode, connected to my Macbook Pro, and then CCC'd to a usb drive that I had. I then had a couple of difficulties installing the new OS. Should have known......
I am now going to put a new drive in it for her and she'll be up and running.
Thanks so much for your help and thoughts that got me thinking as well.

  • Resource still showing Product in Capacity view even when the PDS is deleted

    Hello,
I have a Material which had 2 PDSes sometime back. PDS1 has Resource1 and PDS2 has Resource 2. Some time back PDS2 was deleted(version also deleted from ECC). So, now the Material has only one source of Supply PDS1(with Resource 1). There are no open orders of the past which were on PDS2 or say, resource 2. So basically Resource 2 should now have no connection with Material.
However, when I load Resource 2 in Capacity View and drill down at Product Level, I can still see the said Material in the list with other materials(for which Resource 2 is still valid). Not sure why the Material would now appear there. Also, when i try to create any order for this material in Capacity view for resource 2, it says- No valid PDS/PPM available-which is fine, but why would the material appear there in the first place?
This is happening for many other materials as well.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Kunal

    Hi Cyrille..
Thanks for the reply! You are bang on..
The only catch here is that we do have a cons check program running every day which was not correcting the issue..but when i ran it manually, the issue got corrected automatically....
The only difference between the job run manually and the one running daily in background is that the background run has parallel processing profile assigned to it while i ran it manually without any PPP..
I guess PPP is the reason it was not happening
    Thanks,
    Kunal
