Mini tool bar missing in mail

I scroll through my incoming mail and find a message I want to reply to or forward. I move my cursor to the body of the message and swipe up and down to try to make the mini tool bar (trash reply reply all forward) appear within the message. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried clicking on the message and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

Thanks but it's not the main toolbar at the top of the mail window. It's the "mini toolbar" that appears within an email message as shown below. Sometimes it shows up so that I can click to reply, forward, or trash and sometimes no matter how what I try, it won't show up.

Remove the Navigation Pane Mini tool bar

I have Robo Wizard's skinny on skins (which has been a GREAT
HELP) to see if there is some magical way of making this little
critter disappear. The only suggestion there is to set the bar size
to 1 so it is still there but can't be seen.
The problem is I have to work to very tight accessibility
rules and have Jack boot wearing autocrats enforcing them. I have
managed with the remnants of a smile to comply some how with all
the requirements, from related topics buttons that are text and not
buttons, relative text sizes everywhere including the related
topics pop up to banishing tables and images.
If I just hide the tool bar I'm going to have continued
criticism over the use of frames, which I will have difficulty
defending if I have item there that aren't used or seen.
So to finally get to the point, does anyone know how to
remove the mini tool bar?

Unfortunately that's just a variation on the making the bar
invisible but it still existing route. What I need is a way to
remove the tool bar all together. What I don't want is the minibar
to still exist and screen reader software still listing it when it
performs no function in our help.
I have looked to see which files define the minibar and it
appears to be mainly in the whmsg java script file but it does not
look like alterations to just this file will remove the bar from
the help output entirely.
Can the minibar be removed or am I stuck with more redundant
code, frames etc cluttering up the output?

Preview "pop up" tool bar missing

I am not sure if I mistaken changed a setting, but when previously working in preview if I scrolled to the bottom of the pdf a little pop image would show giving me options to save, print etc. It's now missing. The only way now to print is using the static tool bar in Preview or doing file print. Does anybody know if they removed this feature?

Tool bars missing advisor says 'hold key down - What KEY???

My tool bars went missing, so I went to help. The advise said this is a 'new' feature [who needs this???] It also said I could restore the tool bars that I didn't ask to lose by holding 'the key' down and pressing V T etc at the same time. But, My key board probably has 50 odd keys on it. Which one of these is the magic key, so I can restore features I had set up the way I wanted in the first place. BTW, if this is an 'Improvement' please, don't try to fix what ain't broke - some of us like Mozilla because it is easy to use. I could always go with Explorer if I want gimmicks that accomplish nothing, but frustrating the user.

Reference to the option key was found in the instructions to Reset toolbars and controls from support Mozilla.
Thank you for the info. Pressing the alt key does produce the tool bar temporarily. I can use bookmarks if I act quickly before the toolbar disappears. With your info I will go back and try to get the toolbar back permanently.

I find very difficult using firefox. i can not see vedio, tool bar missing

i was using plane internet system. very easily i could see video, in face book and cooking sites. By mistake yesterday I clicked on firefox, the system changed. recipe tool bar is missing and i am asked for download adobe or what player to see videos. i dont want this I want my plane sistem back. pl help

I uninstalled & re-installed current Firefox version and the folder fonts are now legible. Thanks.

Tool bar missing when forwarding emails

My girlfriend informs me that she cannot forward any emails because the tool bar usually found on top is now missing.
Any ideas on how to fix? Is this a software bug?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
There will be a small silver oval on the top right of the active window. Have her click on that oval to reveal the toolbar.

Organizer tool bar missing in Elements 9

I have read the forum response to this problem with Elements 8 but I have not been able to use the edit menu in organizer the same way as suggested. I did fix my copy of Elements 8 but there is no available font change that I can find in Elements 9. Is there a work through other than changing my 64 bit Windows 7 screen resolution? Thank you for any help you can give. Dave

I too was able to find the tool bar by reducing the DPI to 116%.

If the toolbar has actually been closed, click Window on the menu bar and then click Tools:

The checkmark will be added.
If the toolbar is open (it is checkmarked) but has somehow drifted off the screen, try Window>Reset Palette Locations.

Bar missing from mail so can't write or reply to emails

Updated iPhone 4S the other day and am not sure if it is coincidence but in mail, the bar at the bottom of the screen that allows you to create, reply to emails etc has vanished. Able to receive emails but can't reply or forward!
Using a hotmail account which I deleted from phone and reinstalled but still no joy.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

Where is the "Addrss Book Icon" in the Send Tool bar in Lion Mail?

Just installed Lion. Went to send a note and use the "address book" icon to simplify the sending address but could not find it.
Has Apple removed the icon in Lion Mail "send" toolbar or is it hidden somewhere?

Some UI (or is it UX, nowadays) genius at Adobe has reduced accessibility of frequently used features.
If there are particular arrangements you often use, assign keystrokes to the menu items.

Developer tool bar missing in some pages???

Hello guys,
I have some few pages into my application, in some pages I am able to see Developer Toolbar at the bottom, but in some of the pages it's invisible, also just to inform you that I copied some of the pages from another application of the same workspaces.
Any idea how to visible Developer Toolbar on all the pages...????? Also can anybody tell me is this happening because of I copied pages from another application of the same workspace or it's someother reason???

thxs for replying, I got your point "custom authentication scheme when you login to the application as a different user from your apex developer username."
I guess when I copied some of the pages from another application Custom authentication scheme also came into this current application, I removed it(My auth schema) but still I am unable to see Developer toolbar page 15 onwards(except page 20 & 25).
Also I am running the application with the username as "[email protected]" and password as "kg", after that inside the application I am validating the user credentials from the DB table "tbuser"(on page 8), and more over at the bottom I can see as [email protected] which is displaying because I logged into application with the same user.
After checking the physician's credentials(either Test123/John123) on page 8, I am still able to see Developer toolbar on the page 14 than why not on other pages going forward.
Thanks, once again for your useful, I didn't know before that Developer toolbar doesn't work with the custom authentication scheme, but my case is totally different... can you help out with this issue?????? appreciated

Missing preferences, tool bars, menu items after receiving CS3 file while I have CS2

I have Indesign CS2. I rec'd a CS3 file not knowing it was CS3. A message appeared as follows:
Cannot Open. Please upgrade your plugins to the latest versions, or upgrade to the latest edition of Indesign.
I went into HELP, Configure plugins. Chose "all" and "required" plugins. I then clicked ok and it said "All plugins available when you restart application" and it still wouldn't open. Then I was sent an exchange version of the same file and it still wouldn't open. I received this message:
Cannot open. InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing or the file may be open in another application.
After this I wasn't able to get my CS2 screen back the way it was before. There's no introduction when I open the program, my tool bars aren't present, and the menu items aren't as extensive as they were before.
It was then suggested I reinstall Cs2. I logged in under the administrator. CS2 was different than the way I had it before but the tool bars were present. I then logged in under my name and there are still problems;no tool bars, missing menu items, no intro, etc.
I then tried rebuilding my preferences using these instructions;
The fastest way to do this for InDesign CS2 (and any CS2 program) is to quit the program, then hold down Command-Option-Shift-Control immediately after starting it up again, and keep those keys held down. (On Windows, hold down Control-Alt-Shift.)
If you mashed on those keys quickly enough, youll get an alert when the splash screen appears offering to Delete InDesign Preferences File?. Click Yes, but dont release the modifier keys while you do so, because youre going to get a second alert to which you should also click Yes.
Now you can release the keys and InDesign will complete the boot-up process with fresh, clean Preferences.
Nothing happened so my program is still missing preferences, menu items and toolbars. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, you need to realize that resetting preferences will put them back to ground zero, not the way they were the last time you were happy.
You can try the key combination again and see if you are any faster (we're talking near instantaneous) or you can open your user profile, show hidden files and folders and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 4.0 and rename the two files InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData.
In your case, a better first option, I think, would be to try System Restore which you'll find in System Tools under the Programs > Accessories heading on the start menu. Go back to the first restore point before you tried to open the file, if you can.
In any case, for you to open a CS3 .inx file you will need to be fully patched the the last CS2 update, and you should expect to see some text reflow issues, as well as missing any CS3 features that the author used which aren't supported in CS2.
