You need to get the cable to restore the ATV to factory settings, following the procedure here.
USB mini cables are available from many different sources; often even from local stores like CVS or Walgreens. They are inexpensive, as little as a few dollars online & around $5 from some local discount stores.

  • N97 mini USB cable connectivity issue

    Hello all,
I've tried to connect my N97 mini with the micro USB cable, and it seems not to work.
When I connect the device, It asks me to pick PC Suite, I choose it, but then, when it tries to install the phone on my laptop, it just doesn't work, and it says that the hardware might not work ok.
I have uninstalled and installed Ovi Suite 2 times, I have resetted the phone and it doesn't work.
It worked first with Bluetooth, but now that I try again, it just doesn't work anymore.
Please let me know what I can do.
    Thank you!

Same issue here. Reset phone, cleaned and reinstalled all software but no success.
I tried the cable with different nokia models and it works fine, it is definitely a N97 mini issue.
Waiting for a firmware update to get this really basic function

No, if you have that picture it means the update went wrong and you need to restore via iTunes.

  • IPod Video - USB Cable connector area is broken

It appears that our USB cable got dented, and then when we went to plug it into the iPod that it damaged the port where you plug in the USB cable. We sent the iPod in to Apple (it's under warranty) and they simply sent it back to us in the same shape. They didn't even tell us "it will cost you $x if you want us to fix it". They want us to buy a new one. Which makes little sense.
I'm looking at online repair tutorials but I don't see any tutorial for the USB cable port. No manual shows that section of the iPod. Am I right in thinking that this port is an integral part of the motherboard, so what I am doing is replacing the $99 motherboard of the unit? I realize once I do that it's out of warranty, but heck, it's broken right now and Apple isn't even offering to fix it for a fee ... they want us to go buy a brand new one.
This is a fourth generation video iPod

I think the topic starter means iPod 3G not the second generation iPhone 3G.
But sorry, I don't know. I never used the new USB-cable for the iPod 3G, I always used Firewire.

  • Connecting 6300 with an ordinary mini USB cable

i can access my 6300 in "data storage" mode through an ordinary USB cable. after installing pc-suite(6.83), the software cannot detect my cable and i'm unable to use my phone in "Nokia Mode". Why does this problem occur?? Do I need a DKU-2 cable to access my phone through the pc-suite software?? plz help.

    OTG = On-the-Go..
BTW refer to the Package Contents here .. Didn't you get the CA-179 cable ? or you are talking about the CA-157 that is shown here ?

  • How to Output Digital Audio to Male Mini USB Connector?

I would like to input digital audio from my iPhone 5 to my headphone DAC/amplifier. The latter has a mini USB female connector for digital signal input. I envisage the following options, listed in the order of preference:
    1. A cable with a male Lightning connector to a male Mini USB connector. This would be the most elegant solution but does such a cable exist?
    2. Apple Lighting to female Micro USB adapter plus a male Micro USB to male Mini USB cable. Does this pass audio?
    3. Apple Lightning to male USB connector (the cable which came with the phone) plus a female USB to male Mini USB connector. This should work technically because the Apple stock cable does output audio from the phone to my car audio system.
    4. Any other ideas?
Which of the above options would be best to send digital audio from my iPhone 5 to my headphone DAC/amplifier? Thank you.

I believe you are not correct. You likely have not read my question entirely because I said that:
"This should work technically because Apple stock cable does output audio from the phone to my car audio system".
In other words, I connect my iPhone 5 using the supplied Lightning charging cable to the USB input of the car audio system and the music plays just fine.
However, I need a cable that has a Mini USB male connector, not a regular USB connector. Is there such a thing, or should I go with Options 2 or 3?
    Thanks.

  • Using Usb cable?

I have tried using various mini USB cables to connect my BB to my desktop PC
I have used a cable with separate power and with out. I always get a message saying there needs to be a connection with more power.
    How is that achieved?
    Thank you

This may be due to the USB port not being a high-powered USB port, try another USB port in your CPU to see if that rectifies the issue....

  • I have lost my USB cable to transfer music from comp to

Hello!I have done something really silly! I have misplaced my USB cable that connects the Creative to the Computer. This is the cable that you use to transfer music from your computer to your Creative player. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get another cable from as I have like 50 songs that I need to put onto my Creative. Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated!?Thank you Carly

    Carlz4789,
That player is using a standard USB to mini USB cable. You should be able to get it easily from your local computer/electronic stores.

  • USB cable for N200. need to

cant find it in the creative shop.
please post a link for me..
    appreciate it!

The MuVo Micro N200 has a mini-USB connection on it, so you can use a standard USB to mini-USB cable. They should be available in any PC or electronics store.
For example, it's available on our European store:

  • USB to MIni USB

Hi there, I bought a cheap memory card reader ( USB to mini USB connection) from an internet auction site and it sadly didnt work, however I tried it on a PC and it worked fine. so I thought it was just a Mac thing, but today I bought a sony psp and the USB to mini USB cable i got with that also didnt work.
is there something i need to set up before it will work? the port seems fine its just two times from different cables seems a bit worrying.
thanks for your help in advance
    Danny

try a sandisk reader i have an older one from 2002 and i know they come with an installation CD that has a driver you will need mines an ImageGate and now they support 12 medias instead of just 8. and they come with a dock for at home and a USB cable(a bit short though)that is for portability.

  • Tungsten E use a standard USB Cable

Does the Tungsten E use a standard Mini USB cable to transfer file to it and can it be used to charge it?
    Post relates to: Palm III

    Yes and Yes.
Charging through a USB cable will be "trickle" charging only, quite slow and the charge indicator will not change while doing so.  The computer must be turned on, and if using a hub, it must be powered.

That still looks like a fake.
    Choices should be:

    Data transfer
    Image print

Yep, I use the Nokia cable at home, and a regular camera cable at work - that's what I used to update the firmware with too...
