Minibridge

When I open minibridge it will not let me browse my files.  It  comes up with a message
"Waiting for Bridge CS5......"  I have Bridge open. Operating
system Vista Home

This was a huge problem when CS5 first came out.  Make sure you have the latest versions for PS and Bridge.  Also, do a search for minibridge and see if any of the threads answer your question.

  • Minibridge is not working with Photoshop.

I have downloaded the Bridge but it is unavailable in Minibridge in Photoshop. Psd asks to open the Bridge, but nothing happens??? What can I do? Also I need Bridge Output module, but I don´t know how to download that?

  • Why aren't bridge or minibridge pinned to the task bar in CS6?

CS5 had bridge and minibridge pinned to the task bar. CS6 doesn't. Is there a way to do that?

The Application Bar was removed after photoshop cs5, but you could use Configurator
to make a panel with the relevant buttons.

  • Problems accessing Bridge/Minibridge from PS CS6

I was never much of a user of Bridge or Minibridge until I upgraded to PS CS5, I gradually became aware of the various conveniences offered and have been disappointed to find that, using CS6, although I can click on Bridge, see its normal screen displays, and select images that are then called up in CS6, I cannot do the reverse, i.e., I cannot call-up Bridge or Minibridge from within CS6. The only way in is clicking on Bridge first (perhaps I should say I am a PC Windows user, and recently moved from 7 to 8 and recently 8.1). The problem has been with me since I installed CS6 running Windows 7 and has persisted through the subsequent upgrades. It is therefore not OS related.
    I get the following error
    Error 2: photoshop is undefined.
    Line: 1
    - > photoshop.invokeBridge (false, false, ");
I suppose I could go back to avoiding Bridge, or get by with calling up Photoshop via Bridge. Perhaps that is the way it is supposed to work. But I would prefer to be able to access it whenever and however I want. Can anyone show me how?

  • How can i in cs6 proof an lab photographic profile question ? and where is minibridge?

    Hi
    i'm playing with cs6
i have a question about printing in a photographic lab
i have many profiles for different papers ,installed in my os folder (windows7 and xp my laptop)
to proof how will look my photos is right
View -> Proof set up -> custom -> device to silumate -> select the Lab profile
    now view -> proof colors
    is right?
my i ask a question about minibridge ?
    i installed cs6
    i have cs5 and cs6 on my w7 , but under file minibridge is gray -> what's wrong ?
to be honest i have never loved minibridge , but can't understand why is not available
    thanks

    select the Lab profile
What an unfortunate choice of words (or capitalization).
Lab is a color space, but I think you mean »the RGB- (or possibly even CMYK-) profile required/recommended by the photographic lab«.
In that case it seems recommendable to actually convert (duplicates of) the images to the profile and handing those over to the lab because settings like Render Intent, Black Point Compensation etc. can make a difference in appearance.
And how reliable the preview on your screen is still depends on how diligently you profile your monitor, how constant your viewing conditions are, how well the lab maintains their output equipment etc.

  • Why can´t I see Minibridge in Photoshop after the installation of Bridge

I have successfully installed Bridge on my Macbook Air (64 bit) (Trial version of Bridge).
Now I expected to be using Minibride from within Photoshop (CC 2014) (also a trial version), but the Minibridge option is not shown under "Files - View in Minibridge"
I have learned that if I didn´t have the option under "Files", I could activate it under "Window - Extensions), But that button is not active.
PS! I have a Danish version. I hope I have the names of the buttons correct.
Hope somebody can help, as the option of viewing Minibridge inside Photoshop is my number one reason for buying Bridge.

The word from Adobe is that "Mini Bridge" has been "Retired" as part of a "Spring Cleaning Process" because it is "Not Compatible" with the 2014 Architecture.
Mini Bridge is still functional in previous versions but the Development Work has ceased.
Mini Bridge is "No More"..............I missed it too and that is why I started to do some research

  • Can't get past "Waiting for Bridge CC" in MiniBridge/Photoshop cc

I subscript to Photoshop CC and have been using it successfully.  However, I tried starting the program without a connection to the Internet, and I believe it may have loaded a trial version.
The problem I amhaving is the MiniBridge doesn't connect with Bridge CC even theough Bride CC is launched.
I followed the online advice to delete the SwithBoard folder, retarte the computer and then restart Photoshop.  The SwitchBoard folder was reegenerated, but I'm still getting the same message: Waiting for Bridge CC.

  • Minibridge Error - Waiting for Bridge CS6

    Hi,
Is there a permanant fix for Minibridge not working in PS CS6? I now continually get the message 'Waiting for Bridge CS6...". I am able  run full Bridge, and I still get the same message whether full Bridge is running or not.
I had this problem recently and found a fix involving deleteing the Switchboard folder which worked for a while but the error has returned and repeating the fix no longer works.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mr. Bimg,
Brett is good and has been helpful to me, but Adobe is clueless as to what is causing this problem. I have been working with them on this problem since November and it has not been resolved. The last message I had was the following email from Brett.
    Hello Joe,
I¹ve tried enlisting the help of our Bridge engineers to get to the
bottom of this issue. Good news, bad news of it is they are too busy to
help us directly because they are working on an update. For now, keep an
out for this update and we¹ll see if it resolves the issue. We don¹t have
a release date yet, so I can¹t say when exactly we¹ll see this. For now,
I¹m going to close the case (#185096122), but we can revisit and reopen it
once the update is complete or we can get our engineers to help us out
    directly.
    Regards,
    Brett

  • Minibridge not working properly when merging 3 JPG files to HDR

When I select three files with mini bridge and then select Photishop...Merge to HDR Pro... then I get an advise to better merge three RAW files...and END.
When I open the same three files and then go to Automate...Merge to HDR Pro....I get the same warning, I press ok, Then I get a box where I can assign exposure informations to every picture and then the HDR is created.
Why does Merge to HDR Pro work so differently from the minibridge and from Photshop?

    Hi MTSTUNER,
    to answer your questions:
    1. Were these camera raw files before they were jpgs?
    Yes
2.. Did you make the three files from one camera raw file and if so how?
Yes, I made them by underexposing and overexposing them 1 f-stop which is possible with RAW files.
I opened my RAW file with Camera Raw, set the exposure to -1, 0 and +1 and developed the photos into JPEGs. The exposure informations were seemingly not saved during the process.
    3. In what application and what were the settings for saving the jpegs?
I used camera RAW to create the JPEG files
    4. Which version of cs5 .i.e. 12.1 or 12.04 or......? Which version of windows?
    Adobe Photoshop Version: 12.1 (12.1x20110328 [20110328.r.145 2011/03/28:10:30:00 cutoff; r branch]) x64
    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
    Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1
    5. Which camera?
    Fuji Finepix 550 EXR
It works fine and I get a dialog questioning me about the exposure settings when opening the single files first and then convert it into HDR
It doesnt work and I dont get that "Manually Set EV" box when using Bridge or Mini Bridge.
Since the exposure settings would just have to be "virtual" the "Manually Set EV" dialog could as well be implemented into the automated process using Bridge.

  • PS CS5-- apply labels in MiniBridge?

I am loving MiniBridge in CS5-- incredibly useful. I'm wondering, however, if it's possible to apply labels within MiniBridge? Right now I'm going through a huge batch of images, viewing thumbs and opening files via MiniBridge in PS, but having to revert to (full) Bridge to apply lables such as "approved" etc. which is rather silly.... it would be *great* if I could use shortcuts like CTRL-8 to apply labels directly within MB; please tell me I'm somehow overlooking this functionality?

I'm a bit late to the party, but you actually CAN rate and label in Mini Bridge. You have to be in one of the three preview modes "Slideshow", "Review Mode" or "Full Screen Preview". In those modes you can use the common keys 1-0 and alt/option+Backspace to rate, label and reject.
However, I would still love if those keyboard shortcuts were also available in Mini Bridge's thumbnail view. When inserting a bunch of images in InDesign I would like to hide those that are already in the document. labeling/rating and a filter would do the job, but having to go into a preview mode is a bit inconvenient.
A function that shows and filters by placement status in an InDesign document would be even more elegant. Would also be handy when working on a larger batch of images in Photoshop.

  • Question about MiniBridge in CS5

    Hi!!
I've a problem with mini bridge inside PS. When I click on it I see "wait for bridge" but nothing appear...
    Why?

    Hi,
This thread has a few other solutions to look at.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/628677?tstart=0.
    1. Make sure your antivirus software is not blocking Ps.
    2. Next, look into the hosts file solution: (post #29, #31)
'My hosts file on Vista was named  "hosts" (no extension)  located at:
       C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.
Look up  "hosts file" in Wikipedia and it tells you the location on other  operating systems.
Edit it with notepad.  I modified my hosts file by putting  a "#" at the beginning of the line with my hosts file information,  which disables it - everything after a # on a line is considered a  comment and ignored. my hosts file had only this line:
    ::1              localhost
I  put the # sign in front of it to disable it.
    3. Next you can try post 16:
i got it work too (XP):
    1. i created  a new user (TempUser), logged in to it, launched photoshop - and made  sure everything (minibridge i.e.) works
    2. then i logged back into  my account and replaced my C:\Documents and  Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\SwitchBoard folder  with the one from C:\Documents and Settings\TempUser\Application  Data\Adobe\SwitchBoard
(seems like somehow the SwitchBoard folder got corrupted...)
    4. Last, try post #14, 15:
I changed file security permissions for "Users" on the bridge.exe file  located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS5 to 'full control' instead of  'read&execute' and 'read' only. Then restart Bridge.
We're putting together a tech support document to cover these trouble shooting options for future reference.
    regards,
    steve

Merci d'avance à qui pourra me dépanner.

  • HDR from  minibridge doesn't work

    Hi
I want to use the HDR merge and invoke it  from CS5 minibridge. I have three pictures(raw) and i want to use tools- merge pictures but the the options under tools are blanked out. I can got to PS and start it from file-automate
In tool I should also have a chocie to place a picture in PS, but that is also blanked out.
    Nils

Well I can do that. It is not a big problem.
I just want to know why the conection between Minibridge, under tools,  and PS doesn't work. Scott Kelby uses this in his CS5book. and in the help-text in PS it says the same thing.

  • The latest MiniBridge update impossible to reach

There was an announcement here http://forums.adobe.com/message/3622155#3622155 the other day about an update to MiniBridge for CS5.
What do you do when you follow the procedure explained in that post and it says that my application is not online? Though my Mac IS online and I am even logged into my CS Live account....
Why on earth is that update only provided via CS Live?

    Hi Nini,
Could you please follow the steps below to check?
    Quit all CS5 applications.
Open the Apple Property List Editor (supplied with the Apple SKD) or other property list editor application..
    Open the file [Startup Disk]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeOnlineHelp.plist.
Select Root to see the subentries.
Locate the string object AdobeOnlineDefault. Check whether this key exists. If exists, is its value "0"?  0 means CS Live online access is diabled. You can remove this key from the plist.
    Save the com.adobe.AdobeOnlineHelp.plist file.
    Quit the plist editor.
Here're 2 tech doc for this setting.  Let me know if it works for you please.
