Minimum CLIENT requirements

Hi all, we are hoping to upgrade to Captivate 5 in the very near future. Much depends on the answer(s) to this question:
What are the minimum CLIENT requirements for a PC to run a Captivate 5 lesson saved as a SWF file? Obviously, I know we can publish in a few different versions of Flash (ie 7,8,9)... so BESIDES the version of Flash Player, what are the other requirements? Is there a minimum processor rqmt? A Windows version? (we have a lot of PCs on Windows 2000...), etc.
Any ideas would be fantastic!

Woops! Yes you are correct. It was early in the morning when I read this...before my first coffee of the day and not firing on all cylinders.
Requirements for end user PCs running Cp5 content are more related to the age of the browser and the version of Flash Player.
Hopefully you can be on IE8 or better (but IE6 should still work) and at least Flash Player 9.
Older PCs might struggle a bit with the content if using a lot of animation or video.
Captivate developers typically have pretty good machines to run Cp, so they end up with a false sense of security as to how the content will play for everyone else. I always advise finding the daggiest PC in the office with the oldest browser and lowest specs, and testing on that. If it works, you're still not guaranteed to get away without issues, but you're usually safe from disaster.

Presumably you mean for delivering ADF applications across the web to client PCs. As far as I know there's no hardware requirements. However you can find the browser certification matrix in the following link:

(Deployment) Minimum Software required for BUILD server and IIS WebServer

We have a simple .Net SDK application written using VB-2005 and the Crystal Reports XI (R2) DEVELOPER package.
The RPT files are posted on our BOE-XI (R2) server, and are called using the View-On-Demand method from the Page Server (similar to the SDK sample application). At some point in the future, our .Net applications may invoke some of the other SDK content types.
In our environment, the .NET web-applications are checked-in to Clear Case, and then sent to a stand-alone BUILD server to be compiled. The compiled .NET web-applications are then posted to a stand-alone IIS WebServer (not the IIS server that hosts BOE InfoView/CMC).
The BUILD server and IIS WebServer have to be as "stripped-down" as possible in order to go through our QAT and Impact Analysis process.
So far we have had success if we deploy the SDK-only install from the Crystal Reports XI (R2) DEVELOPER package, and the service packs, but it doesn't include all the SDK components for other BOE content types.
If we deploy the Client-only install from the BOE-XI (R2) package, and the service packs - it doesn't seem to include the CR-Viewer which we need. But it does includes a bunch of extra software (eg. UNIVERSE DESIGNER) on the desktop of the BUILD server and IIS WebServer that our QA guys don't like.
What are the Minimum Software required for BUILD server and IIS WebServer to support CR and BOE SDKs...?
Are there any install packages that contain JUST those components, and not all the extra software that is not needed to Build/Deploy in .NET...?

Due to the CrystalDecisions.web.dll for the 2.0 framework being left off the BOE CD you will need to install the Crystal XI R2 runtimes as well as the BOE SDK.
To get the BOE SDK launch the Enterprise XI R2 installer and choose Server Install - not Client Install. Choose a Custom install. You'll be presented with a drop down list for the Enterprise components. Deselect everything and then look for the Developer Components option. You may have to drill down into one of the levels to find it. Under Developer Components you'll see the BusinessObjects Enterprise .NET SDK. Select it to install it.

1) What files are required for a minimum client install.
2) What is the route/path a program should take to find the tnsnames.ora (Environment variable, registry?) - i.e. how does one locate it?

1) Go to http://otn.oracle.com, look for the Downloads link, select and download Instant Client, unzip the file anywhere and follow the 'install' instructions.
2) The TNSNAMES.ORA will be in each ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory
In addition, you could manually create a central one and use either the environment variable or registry entry TNS_ADMIN to locate that.
I generally use the Windows Explorer search capability to look for files.
You may want to review the Installation manual and/or the Administration manual for Windows. They do give this information and a lot more information relevant to your OS. These could be found at http://tahiti.oracle.com

Minimum documents required to finish Sales Process for retail Business

This is my 1st post in the forum as per the Rules and Regulations i have searched for the solution may be i was not able to reach to my Answer.
I have been assigned to a project where my client also has Reatail Outlets where the sales process is done mostly.
My client requirement is, they want to have minimum sales process as there will be many walk-in customers which will not allow them to have complete cycle.
My question is do we need to have sales order-delivery-PGI-Billing can we skip one or two document or is there any other way for Retail Business.

Hi
The better option is to use IS-Retail, but you need that your system is installed as an IS-Retail. If it's the case, then you can use the invoice FP (see it in VOFA). SAP gives you the IDOC WPUUMS to create this invoice and the PGI (movements 251/252). You need to have create the plant as a POS (point of sale) with tcode WB01/02/03, and in tab 'POS' mantain the data that determines the pricing procedure. The materials, is better to mantain as articles, ie, with tcodes MM41/42/43 instead MM01/02/03, and more details, but of course you need that your system will be an IS-R. If your system is an IS-R see SM30 for view V_TWPIV. So, when your process the IDOC you create the invoice and process the PGI (well, the movements in the profile).

Minimum fields required to create an order

Hi, anyone know what the minimum fields required are to create an order?
I've tried to copy what the sample does, but it still gives me an internal error.
Our system doesn't use TaxCodes, but it has VatGroups is that going to be an issue?

EDIT: it turns out the database user we used did not have enough priviledges.
ok I have tried using the sample bone client and it works. I've tried to make mine to imitate what the bone client is doing, but I'm still getting a "-1 Could not commit transaction"

What's funny is that if I click on submit again, it comes up with the error "-2039 [ RDR1.WhcCode ][ line: 1 ] ,'Another user-modified table' (ODBC -2039)"
and when I check the ORDR table and the order looks like it was entered.

Itunes won't let me create an account because it says that I do not meet the minimum age requirements. I was born in 1973.

My daughter is 13 yrs old. She was born in August 1997. When I tried to set up her itunes account, I mistakenly typed in the year of my son's birthday which is 1999....which would make her too young. When I tried to create the account again, with the correct year of 1997, it is giving me a message that it "does not meet the minimum age requirements". But it does. What do I do to fix this? I got her the Ipod for her birthday and haven't given it to her yet and I wanted to get some songs on it for her before I gave it to her. What can I do?

Final Cut Studio 2 Minimum System Requirements

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi....You're my only hope
I own a Dual 867 MHz Power PC G4 with 1.25 GB of ram and want to purchase Final Cut Studio 2, OS X v10.5 Leopard and Adobe Photoshop CS3. I know Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Leopard are compatible, However what concerns me is Final Cut Studio 2. These are the Minimum System Requirements stated [A Mac computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 or G5, Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo, or Intel Xeon processor] So my question is would Final Cut Studio 2 work efficiently or even at all on my computer? My thinking is with collectively 1734 GHz power it should work, But i could also be delusional. I really would hate to end of buying it only to find put it won't work.

If you're LUCKY, you might find a replacement processor card for your MDD Powermac G4 - (ideally dual 1.42GHz) - maybe eBay? - maybe from a Mac "breakers yard"? or someone selling off parts from a blown motherboard example?
It's a drop-in replacement, assuming you're OK with a screwdriver and replacement thermal paste.

Minimum steps required for Change Management and Incident management

Hello experts,
Does anyone have a check list of the absolute minimum steps required for getting Change Management and Incident management functioning in Solution Manager.
I just need it to function with creating changes and incidents and be able to assign them, change their status and close them.
The purpose is to get an idea if this is something for us to use. If we then find it useable, then we will go for a full scale implementation using official guides, education etc.
I just need an absolute minimum guide for demonstrating the functions, and if you guys have any recommendations, things we should pay special attention to or other experiences feel free to tell me.

Create a Bex report based on the client requirement

We are using 3.5 version SAP BW.
Our Client requirement is to create a report. as below

Profit value also is the formula that i have created
Ripple is the value that they want it to be seen in the reprot as a standard which is not available anywere in the multiprovider
xxxxx.xx are the total values of Qty LTr and Profit values per month (eg: 01.2011)
I have created the reprot and able to get the values but i do not get the CC01 for every line, and even Qty Ltr or the Profit Value in every line of the report , And i do not know how to hard code the Ripple.
Please adivice hope i am clear.
My repot displays this way. may be based on the company code.

What are the minimum system requirements for GB 4?

What are the minimum system requirements for GB 4? I did search this forum but wasn't able to find a direct answer.
I'm running version 3.0.4 successfully on a lowly G4 733 but I suspect this is as far as I can go.
I'm updating to iDvd'08 and was also wondering if I can safely update to GB4 or not (from GB 3.0.7) on a G4 733 mhz Digital Audio. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. My guess is that I cannot but I'd like to confirm prior to attempting any further updates in GB.

I try my best to play it safely; always. And you were right, everything worked on the ext. FW HD flawlessly ...... truly amazing software!
(I did happen to check the activity Monitor w/in Utilities and it showed GB4 using about 60-67% of the CPU on a G4 733 ..... I'm assuming this is normal).

Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
You can force Firefox to create a new default profile if you remove the profiles.ini file.
