Minimum Configuration for E4500

Hi,
Can someone tell me what is a minimum configuration for E4500.
I am looking for # of CPU/Memory Board,
PCM, I/O Board, and Power Supply.
Thanks

  • Bare minimum configuration for warehouse management

    Hello,
    For one of our Projects, there is a requirement of Warehouse Management merely just to enable the tracking of Material received to the Storage Bin level, as they manage the Inventory in Storage Bins in the existing Warehouses.
    Other no major requirement is expected from WM like, automation of Putaway, etc.
    Few of the Inventory scenarios are like Goods receipt, Goods Issue, Warehouse to Warehouse transfer, Bin to Bin transfer, Physical Inventory,  Subcontracting for repairs, Vendor Consignment, also they will handle Project Special stock.
    Now the configurations for Inventory Management are enabled for all the above processes. I now need to know, what are the bare mimimum configurations required so as to enable the WM related process, following each of the IM processes, like Putaway after Goods Receipt, Stock removal before Goods Issue, etc.
    The Configuration for the Enterprise Structure to support Warehouse Management have been completed by creating the Warehouses & assigning the Storage locations to these Warehouses.
    A detailed step by step process would be very helpful for me at this stage.
    And i surely will assign points for all the useful answers.
    Regards,
    Zafar.

    Hi,
    If you want to define new storage types other than the standard ones, please define them. Otherwise, you can assign
    the existing storage types to the newly defined warehouse.
    Also you have to define storage bin types and storage bin structures.
    All this you can find under the IMG path:
    SPRO->Logistics Execution->Warehouse Management->Master Data.
    Regards,
    Pavani.

  • Minimum configuration for localstorage=false nodes

    We have a grid that provides data for multiple clients. Considering that the client is started with localstorage=false, and all requests are passed to the data nodes, what is the minimum cache-configuration that is required by the clients to participate in the cluster.
    Edited by: tfanshteyn on Jul 31, 2009 6:54 AM

    It is alright to have the following scheme defined in storage-enabled member:
    <distributed-scheme>
    <scheme-name>app-scheme-1</scheme-name>
    <service-name>DistributedScheme1</service-name>
    <backup-count>1</backup-count>
    <backing-map-scheme>
    <read-write-backing-map-scheme>
    <internal-cache-scheme>
    <local-scheme>
    </local-scheme>
    </internal-cache-scheme>
    <cachestore-scheme>
    <scheme-name>jdbc</scheme-name>
    <class-scheme>
    <class-name>misc.MyCacheStore</class-name>
    </class-scheme>
    </cachestore-scheme>
    <write-delay-seconds>{delay 5}</write-delay-seconds>
    </read-write-backing-map-scheme>
    </backing-map-scheme>
    <autostart>true</autostart>
    </distributed-scheme>
    and client (storage-disabled) with:
    <distributed-scheme>
    <scheme-name>app-scheme-1</scheme-name>
    <service-name>DistributedScheme1</service-name>
    <autostart>true</autostart>
    </distributed-scheme>
    But as Aleks has mentioned in the previous reply it is much easier to manage and distribute single cache configuration even though there a quite a few configs that can be different. Any "data" specific settings like CacheStore will only trigger where that Entry is, so on a localstorage=false nodes these settings are not required. But keep in mind as the applications grow managing multiple cache configurations can become quite problematic.

  • Minimum configuration for osx server?

    I am getting a MacBook to add to an all-windows environment and want to use time capsule for backup.  in addition, I'd like to run iTunes on a system so I was thinking about hitting eBay for a used mini that would be used for backup and media streaming. What is the minimum specs from a memory and CPU standpoint should I look for?  Currently I have a windows server and  NAS and have ~20 years of tech experience, but all on the windows, netware and x86 side.

    Mac OS X supports up to 10 Users for File Sharing, so if all you need is File Sharing, the complexity of Server is not needed.
    If you have another reason for requiring Server, its requirements are similar to Mac OS X of a similar version. Server is an I/O problem, so fast drives are needed, and a little bit more RAM than a "regular" desktop system. In Mavericks, running Server on a Mac used as a regular workstation is NOT recommended.

  • Minimum Spec for FCE4: cheapest Mac Mini?

    I'm looking to get a Mac Mini primarily to record endoscopic video (s-video) via a Canopus ADVC 55 using Final Cut Express. Looking at the minimum requirements for FCE4 it seems the cheapest model with 2GB RAM should be way more than adequate. The specs don't even mention hard drive speed.
    However, by todays standards 2GB is fairly minimal, and the 5400 rpm 2.5" hard drives are quite slow. I have used FCE4 on an original white MacBook and frequently got dropped frames when recording (which lost the entire recording each time), a problem that disappeared when I upgraded to a MacBook Pro.
    If used purely for recording, and if the hard drive is regularly cleared (video files moved to a Mac Pro for processing) will there be any problems with only 2GB of RAM, or the speed of the hard drive?
    Because this is to go into an operating theatre where space is limited, I would prefer that I don't have the hassle or expense of an external Firewire hard drive (and I'm guessing the single Firewire port may be an issue).
    Looking at the spec for the Mac Mini Server it looks much more suitable, 2 7400 rpm hard drives, 4GB RAM - but cost wise I think will be harder to persuade my employer!

    I'm afraid I cannot really answer your question as I don't need / use the features of the snow leopard server software. Hardware wise the differences add more ram, 2 hard drives (and they're faster) but no optical drive (with the option of connecting one externally). Other than that it comes with snow leopard server which allows you to use it as a normal mac, but additionally can be set up as mail server, file server, and a bunch of utilities to help manage this (not sure how accurate my understanding of the differences between the software).
    Incidentally the normal version of snow leopard has a certain amount of server functionality anyway, eg filesharing, web hosting etc. I think the server edition mainly provides lots of tools to take this further.
    It definitely would require configuring, and you would need other stuff like a router to connect the computers together which would also need configuring. But not much different to linking a bunch of normal macs together (if you're usinng it as a file server). I might be wrong but I don't think the connected computers can run on it's OS like some of these dumb terminal systems can.

  • Skipping request for user policy assignments due to agent configuration for authority

    Hello all,
    Symptoms:
    The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:
    Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
    Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
    Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
    User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
    In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
    The Confugration Manager:
    shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
    shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
    shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
    In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
    Done so far (without success):
    Re-installed the MP
    Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.
    Installed version 5.00.7958.1000
    CCM Framework: 5.00.7958.1203
    The computer is installed with a task sequence. There is a reboot after 'Setup Windows and ConfigMgr (CM2012 R2 CU1)'.
    Installation command of the SCCM Client (during OSD deployment):
    SMSCACHEFLAGS=PERCENTDISKSPACE SMSCACHESIZE=10 SMSSLP=demo-sccm.demoforest.local SMSMP=demo-sccm.demoforest.local PATCH="%_SMSTSMDataPath%\OSD\TDS00020\KB2938441\configmgr2012ac-r2-kb2938441-i386.msp"

    Older versions of Microsoft Excel, for example Microsoft Excel 97 and 2000, are not supported. On the browser side Firefox is not supported at present.
    Hardware used in this case is Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz,1 GB memory and 40 GB HDD. The Hard disk space and Min and recommended Memory usage for the Business Explorer of SAP NetWeaver 2004s is mentioned below
        HDD Space   : 380 MB
        Memory Min  : 384 MB
        Recommended : 512 MB
    Note: The actual memory used under Windows XP platform is 146 MB.The amount of memory used by OS before SAP GUI installation is 137 MB The amount of memory used by OS after SAP GUI installation is 283 MB
    (256 MB is still sufficient for XP, but sometimes when SAP GUI is executed the system may start swapping)

  • Set Minimum amount for non LVA  Asset Class

    Dear all,
    Is it possible to set a minimum amount for asset classes other LVA asset class?
    Thanks & regards.

    Dear Jay,
    I didn't see a configuration setting to set the minimum amount for asset class even for LVA asset class - in LVA asset class we will specify the maximum amount only not the minimum amount.
    I think through SAP standard setting this is not possible and may require some enhancements for this.

  • Best Xserve configuration for MySQL?

    Basically, I'm trying to figure out the optimal configuration for our next Xserve. Obviously, more RAM, more CPUs, more and faster disks in RAID, etc will improve things. But considering that money doesn't grow on trees, what have some of you found to be particularly cost-efficient in building an Xserve to run mainly MySQL where there are many small INSERTs on indexed (!? tables of 10 million or more rows (DB size of ~1GB, presently). I realize it's kind of a "depends if" type of question, but I'm just curious what people have found. (I've also read that AnandTech article that wasn't too kind to Mach.)
    Anyway, I was thinking of an quad-core Xserve with 4-8GB of RAM, and a RAID5 set of 15K SAS drives. Well, there's not much in terms of options anyway. But this box will be like I said 90% running services that depend on MySQL performance. Some Web services, but mainly automated MySQL stuff.
    Should I even bother to look at a Sun or Dell running Linux?
    I'm presently running primarily an Xserve dual G5 2GHZ with MegaRAID in RAID5. As I said, the key database is about 1GB with ~10 million rows (mostly in just two tables). So, small data sets, already heavily indexed... Anyway, any thoughts are very welcome. Here is a status snapshot of the past couple days:

    Variable Value Description
    Flush_commands 1 The number of executed FLUSH statements.
    Lastquerycost 0 The total cost of the last compiled query as computed by the query optimizer. Useful for comparing the cost of different query plans for the same query. The default value of 0 means that no query has been compiled yet.
    Slow_queries 338 The number of queries that have taken more than longquerytime seconds.

    RAID 5 is the worst possible storage option for databases.
    That's not to say it won't work, but it has an overhead that will impact disk I/O, especially writes and it sounds like your data set is write-heavy.
    This is because a write requires a Read-Modify-Write process for every write - whenever you write data to the array it has to read all the existing data in the corresponding blocks, recalculate the new parity data, then write it all back.
    This may or may not be a problem for you, depending on actual quantity and scale of the writes, but if you're looking for the best configuration, RAID 5 is not it.
    For optimal performance use RAID 0. Of course, RAID 0 has no protection, so you need to deal with that.
    The ideal combination is RAID 0+1, but that requires a minimum of four drives, while the XServe can only handle three internal drives.
    As for the rest of it, you really need to analyze your data more before you can get an answer.
    The number of rows is largely irrelevant if you're just inserting data. It has some bearing on indexes, so you need to look at how your data is indexed.
    As for memory, the ideal configuration is at least enough memory for MySQL to load all the indexes into RAM - most lookups should be indexed and if those indexes fit entirely within the memory space you're off to a good start.
    Note that the standard MySQL is 32-bit, so you're limited to 2GB for InnoDB or MyISAM (whichever you're using). You'll need the 64-bit version to use more memory than that.
    Most performance bottlenecks (and gains) can be traced to either indexes (too many indexes can be just as bad as not enough), and application (there's significant overhead in opening a new MySQL connection (which is a large factor in the AnandTech article), so try to ensure that your application uses connection pools (where a number of connections are opened when the app starts, and reused through application processes rather that a new connection opened for every query). Without knowing the application it's impossible to narrow that one down much more.
    As for Sun or Dell - sure, they're options. Just be aware that you'll need Solaris or Linux admin skills in order to get the most out of them. They may (but not necessarily will) perform faster at the end of the day, but it may also take you much time and heartache to get there.
    The other thing that you don't mention is why you're looking to upgrade. Is the G5 currently stressed? If so, where? what's the typical CPU load? disk activity level? network load, etc.
    It doesn't make any sense upgrading the machine if the network is your bottleneck - all you're going to do is move that same bottleneck to a different machine.

  • Physical DB Configuration for 11g

    Hi,
    Can someone please let me know what can be the good configuration for designing a Database of size 1TB in 11gR2.
    1) How much size we can allocate for Undo tablespace keeping the undo retention value to default
    2) How many redo groups and how many members per group considering the log switch are not very frequent ( 2-3 groups should be enough and 2 members per group and each member can be 200MB. Let me know if we can design it in a better way)
    3) Size of system,sysaux and temp tablespaces
    Thanks in advance.

    Its not so easy to answer your question if you are gonna create a 1TB database fresh.
    But as you had estimated the size of the database;I presume you have a similar set up (production/staging/dev/test).
    So perform the follwing in order to decipher your concerns:
    1) How much size we can allocate for Undo tablespace keeping the undo retention value to default
    Sizing an UNDO tablespace requires three types of information; viz:
    --Number of undo data blocks generated per second (UPS)
    --UNDO_RETENTION in seconds (UR)
    -- Overhead varies based on extent and file size (db_block_size) (DBS)
    UndoSpace = [UR * (UPS * DBS)] + (DBS * 24)
    In this UR and db_block_size can be obtained from pfile or spfile.
    The third piece of the formula (UPS) requires a query against the database. The number of undo blocks
    generated per second can be acquired from V$UNDOSTAT.
    The following formula calculates the total number of blocks generated and divides
    it by the amount of time monitored, in seconds:
    SQL>SELECT (SUM(undoblks))/ SUM ((end_time - begin_time) * 86400)
    FROM v$undostat;
    Column END_TIME and BEGIN_TIME are DATE data types. When DATE data types are subtracted,
    the result is in days. To convert days to seconds, you multiply by 86400, the number of seconds in a day.
    The result of the query returns the number of undo blocks per second. This value needs
    to be multiplied by the size of an undo block, which is the same size as the database block
    defined in DB_BLOCK_SIZE.
    The following query calculates the number of bytes needed:
    SQL> SELECT (UR * (UPS * DBS)) + (DBS * 24) AS "Bytes"
    FROM (SELECT value AS UR FROM v$parameter WHERE name = 'undo_retention'),
    (SELECT (SUM(undoblks)/SUM(((end_time - begin_time)*86400))) AS UPS FROM v$undostat),
    (select block_size as DBS from dba_tablespaces where tablespace_name=
    (select upper(value) from v$parameter where name = 'undo_tablespace'));
    NB: The above described UNDO calculation is compiled from Metalink Note : 262066.1
    2) How many redo groups and how many members per group considering the log switch are not very frequent
    (from Metalink Note : 781999.1)
    An excerpt from the Oracle Database Performance Tuning Guide provides the general guideline.
    "It may not always be possible to provide a specific size recommendation for redo log files, but redo log files in the range of a hundred megabytes to a few gigabytes are considered reasonable. Size your online redo log files according to the amount of redo your system generates. A rough guide is to switch logs at most once every twenty minutes."
    So if your online redo logs (for example) switch once every 5 minutes during peak database activity, to achieve the 20 minute guideline, the logs would each need to be 4 times larger then their current size. (i.e. 20 / 5 = 4)
    3) Size of system,sysaux and temp tablespaces
    i) SYSTEM tablespace's size - dont have much idea; what should be the minimum size of the SYSTEM tablespace. But in most of the cases a size of 500 to 600 MB should be fine
    ii)SYSAUX tablespace's size - Default size for SYSAUX is 210Mb. Once again; most of the case a size of 400 to 500 MB should be fine
    iii)TEMP tablespace's size - You have to monitor the TEMP space usage continuosly in order to zero on an optimal size.
    You can query DBA_TEMP_FREE_SPACE for this in order to get how much TEMP space is allocated and how much is free.
    SELECT * from DBA_TEMP_FREE_SPACE;
    TABLESPACE_NAME TABLESPACE_SIZE ALLOCATED_SPACE FREE_SPACE
    TEMP 250609664 250609664 249561088
    Hope this helps

  • Minimum capability for checkinView of type Org?

    Hi,
    Any one knows what is the minimum capability required to allow for checkin of view of type organization? I have a requirement to create organization via workflow and there I am creating a view of type organization and then checkin-in the view, but if I do it via a user who has 'Organization Administrator' Capability then it thows AuthorizationException, 'Configurator' on the other hand works fine.
    I thought 'Organization Administrator' capability should have allowed for that.
    Any thoughts anyone?
    Thanks,
    BB

    By the way this question is because of the audit log, if I check in as 'configurator' then the audit logs have the subject as 'configurator' for the organization create event, while we want to log the actual user name/account id i.e. WF_CASE_OWNER.
