Minimum cpu speed for 10g on RHAS3

Is there any way past the universal installer check for minimum cpu speed? I have met all the system requirements to install oracle forms client on redhat as -- but this is an older test box and it is slightly slower than the minimum requirements so I was not able to run the installer. Any suggestions?

Regarding the minimum possible speed network to comunicate  to FP, it's depends on timeout parameter you set in the target: obviously a low-speed network could  generate some comunication  problems.

  • Suggestion - 5D3 minimum shutter speed for auto ISO

Hi, I would like to make a suggestion to Canon on the 5D3 camera, with regard to the minimum shutter speed for auto ISO. Currently I find that most of the selectable shutter speeds are on the low side (mostly below 1/125), and this may not be useful for handheld photography, or for fast moving subjects. I would like to suggest the following:
    - More minimum shutter speed settings faster than 1/125 including in-between speeds e.g. 1/160 (between 1/125 and 1/250)
    - Automatic shutter speed based on a multiple of lens focal length e.g. 2x lens focal length (for both prime and zoom lenses)
I hope that Canon can come up with an updated firmware that does this. Thanks.

Good idea, you can add it to the thread "Firmware Update Wishlist", and "Canon dSLR Wish List?" because a proper, configurable, flexible auto ISO is much needed and would beneficiate all cameras, not only 5D3.
I am not sure what Magic Lantern can give you on that issue, but you can take a look at their page.
Now, as a short term solution, on 1D4 I have put the cfns for 'shutter speed range' and 'iso speed range' in MyMenu, and when I need I change the max ISO (usually 1600) and a min shutter seepd (depends on lens and subject) on the fly. Not very practical (many button push needed), but it works.
    I hope that helps

  • Minimum usable CPU speed for Photoshop Elements

It has a CPU described as:  A4-5000 APU with Radeon (tm) HD Graphics 1.5 GHz.
    Windows 8.1 operating system.
Will I be able to use Photoshop Elements on this?

I know about the min specs. The reason I'm asking if it really checks the CPU speed is I have a school that *is* running Premiere Elements 10 on the exact same hardware. Same CPU. The only difference is the new version I'm trying to install is the volume license version, part of the Adobe Digital School collection. The school that already has it running is using Premiere Elements 10 with either separate licenses or some other license setup. So it doesn't make sense why it worked but doesn't now.
Testing today. On my test PC, a Core 2 6300 XPsp3, the setup would start up OK using the non-VL installer, but fail when I tried to use the setup.exe from the new installer. As far as I know the program is the same, but I don't think I can do the XML customizations needed to do a silent installer on the non volume licensed version of Premiere Elements 10. In short, why does one version of PE 10 install but not the other?

  • Minimum network speed for Fieldpoint

Which is officially the minimum network speed (in Kbit/s) required to communicate with a Fieldpoint? They can operate at 100 and 10 Mbit but that's an ideal maximum, i need to know the minimum recommended for proper working.
I need an estimate of required speed for reading/writing channels (i guess this depends on number and rate of channels), and for programming a RT fieldpoint with LabVIEW.
    Thanks

  • Java SE minimum CPU requirement for x86

According to Windows System Requirements for JDK and JRE the min. CPU requirements for JDK 7 is a Pentium II 266 MHz.
    A Pentium II is a i686 CPU.
However, the installation packages for Oracle JDK 7 available at Java SE Development Kit 7 - Downloads | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle show i585 package names. Should they not be called i686 to be correct?
    Thanks.

Actually they show 'i586' in some names.

Probably - it if concerns you that much just use one of the 'contact us' links on that page and report it to Oracle.

  • Is There a minimum cpu speed an Ram requirement for Nano

I use xp pro and want to know if Nano has a cpu/ram requirement.
    thanks, Ken

I don't think that the nano itself, or any other iPod for that matter, has a requirement from the computer that has iTunes other than the type of cable used to connect the iPod to your computer (USB, Firewire), and perhaps what version of the OS you have.
The only requirements CPU/RAM requirements you should adhere to are the ones that are required of iTunes. The requirements for Windows are as follows:
Windows XP or 2000 (latest service packs recommended)
500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
    QuickTime 7.0.4 (included)
    256MB RAM
Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive to burn CDs
Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music
    Additional Video Requirements
1.5 GHz Pentium class processor or better
    32MB video RAM
The Requirements for the iPod Nano are as follows:
PC with USB port or card (USB 2.0 recommended)
Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later, or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
Also - it might be more helpful, for yourself and for other users, if you were to post this inquiry in the Windows section of iTunes.

  • RAM vs CPU speed for LR3 performance

I'm set on upgrading to one of the new iMacs but have a limited budget. I'm a photographer and primarily use Lightroom and Photoshop. If I have to choose, would it be better to opt for the core i3 with 8gb RAM or the core i5 with 4gb RAM?
    Many thanks,

    Adam,
There is also something to be said for file retrieval and writing.  I don't know which of the new iMacs you are looking at, but OWC has a mod which provides an eSATA connection for higher speed external drives, which are much faster than FW or USB.  Sooner or later, between the ACRLR cache, the files themselves, etc. you'll want to use an external drive.  Good luck with the purchase.

  • Max CPU Speed for MS 6131 Ver:2

I have a computer that I'd like to upgrade (slightly) with a faster CPU...  I currently have a 550mhz PIII and want to know if I have room to put a faster PIII or Celleron or whatever in without getting a new motherboard.
The manual shows it has support for 233mhz and faster.  Chipset is Intel 82440BX AGP.  66.6MHZ and 100MHZ sclocks are supported.
    BIOs is award 4.51
If it matters, The current CPU is the old large brick (I Believe Slot 1).  I don't know if that means coppermine or whatever (pardon my ignorance).
Plz advise!  Thanks in advance for your help
    Thanks,
    Mark

I spoke with MSI and the fastest CPU officially supported is the 600MHz Katamai PIII.
If you flash the bios to a version that supports coppermine you should be able to get a celeron to run using a slocket card converter by setting the vcore manually to 1.80v but it could fail or even cause damage.

  • Minimum speed for Infinity

    Hi,
I had Infinity installed 10 days ago and the initial download speed of just under 20Mb and uoload speed of just under 1 Mb.
The BT Engineer informed me at the time of installation that the download speed needs to be above 15Mb or the installation is deemed as failed (or simmilar words).
I have been performing the BT Speed test over the last few days and now find that my Line has been provisioned at download 14mb with the actual dowload soeeds that I get being between 12 - 14Mb and upload provisioned at 2mb with me getting an actual upload speed of between 500 - 800Kb.
Could anybody please tell me if there's a minimum expected speed for Infinity and know the reason why BT would have reduced my line provisioned speed from 20Mb to 14Mb when I've not experienced any problems.
    Thanks

  • Minimum Connection Speed & A few other Questions.

Living in rural Vermont this is of concern, is there a minimum connection speed for the CC versions?
If one has no internet access during the 23-33rd days but returns on day 35 what happens?
Can the check-in occur on Day 21 instead?
Finally, I saw mention made of CS7 and CS8. Are these in the planning stage? If the CC versions are simply a conveince for those who want this service and the regular updates are coming I would be very much happier.
    Thanks!

    Hi there,
There is no minimum connect speed requirement for the Creative Cloud membership or using CC products.
The two things for which you would need an Internet connection are -
    1. downloading the creative cloud products that you would like to install & use
    2. licensing & activating the products by signing in with your CC membership ID
for #1, Adobe has implemented a lot of improvements to be able to resume downloads of CC products post a network failure or outage.
for #2, a minimal Internet bandwidth is required
So, as long as your connection allows you to accomplish the above, you are all good.
    >> If one has no internet access during the 23-33rd days but returns on day 35 what happens? Can the check-in occur on Day 21 instead?
If your CC membership is active, you will be able to resume working on the software after hitting 'Try Again' in the 'Renew your subscription' prompt that you will see in the software on the 35th day. We are working on certain enhancements that will provide flexibility vs. the monthly subscription check-ins.
    >> Finally, I saw mention made of CS7 and CS8. Are these in the planning stage? If the CC versions are simply a conveince for those who want this service and the regular updates are coming I would be very much happier.

  • Recomended Broadband Speeds for new Apple TV

I was about to purchase an Apple Tv earlier today, but wanted to check the recommended broadband speeds for the service.
We suffer from speeds of 2.5mbps; probably not a problem with Apple TV - being able to download to the HDD for viewing later. However, streaming only is a little concerning - especially as we'd be looking at HD stuff.
Have Apple said what speeds are required? Is contents buffered to some sort of memory until it is ready to be viewed.

The avatar HD film was 5.8gb in size from the itunes store. My internet speed is usually around 9.8mbps but can drop down to 7mbps in busy times. I rent HD films a lot and it usually takes about 20 seconds to 1 minute from pressing rent to being able to play the HD movies. Only once have I had an issue with the film freezing up half way through, it turned out the internet went down on my ISP side of things.
As apposed to having 2.5mbps I am not to sure on times but it would just be a case of waiting longer at the beginning before pressing play, for the film to build up in the buffer so you don't catch up to where the film has got to in downloading. That is if my understanding of the apple tv downloads and plays at same time is right! If I am wrong I would be very interested in knowing exactly how it works.
But to answer the question at the beginning I have not seen an official minimum download speed for the apple tv but looks like from other peoples experiences you can't go wrong with something bigger than 6/7mbps.

  • Minimum/Recommended I/O speed for our 10g UCM?

I need to make sure that I/O either is or isn't the bottleneck for our UCM slowness.
The UCM is a 2-node cluster running on OCFS2 and the shared storage is on SAN.
    Please suggest the 1) minimum
    and
    2) recommended storage(we use SAN) i/o (read and write MB/s) parameters for our UCM, i.e.
We will have 2000 active users (producers+consumers), max 5000 check-ins and ~50 000 other UCM actions in 8h workday. At the same time there is max 50 000 check-ins thru integrations from other systems in the same time window.
Btw, i haven't found any official minimum I/O requirements for UCM, are there any?
How would you suggest i measure the i/o speed, with big or small bs - for example with
    *dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdm bs=4K count=768000 oflag=direct conv=notrunc
    or
    *dd if=/dev/zero of=/u01/3Gfile bs=1M count=3072

  • What are the minimum CPU and Memory requirements for R12 Vision instance?

We are in the process of trying to figure out what the minimum hardware requirements are for installing the R12 Vision instance. This Vision instance would only have 5 or less concurrent users. We may have to order a new server and we are wondering what the minimum CPU and memory would be? Oracle Support will not give us this information.
We aleady know how much disk space it will need.

  • How to change CPU clock speed for conserving power?

Hi, I own a compaq CQ60 404CA and I am wondering how I can change the settings for minimal cpu speeds.
I know it automatically sets it's speed down to half when not being used. I want to decrease that even further.
    Is that possible?
I tried Nvidia system tools, but it gives a wrong reading regarding the CPU speeds (2.8ghz when its actually 1.05ghz)
    Thanks
    I've tried:
    1. Changing CPU power settings down to 1%, and even then it stayed at half speed
    2. Checked Bios, but didn't find settings

Yes it is possible, try steps in amd forum guide, here
