thanks in advance.
Hi,
Try to login to <b>service.sap.com</b> and download the latest spam(SAPKD).
Before going to apply patches we need to upgrade our spam version in order to avoid conflicts.
So download the spam and apply.
i hope it will help you.

Adobe CS3 Windows 7 installation says does not meet minimum requirements
I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium on a brand new Windows 7 machine (32-bit). It is a downloaded copy from Adobe's website.
When I start the install process, it takes me to the "Options" Screen and will not let me install Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. All those options are grayed out.
At the bottom, the reason it gives is as follows:
"The minimum system requirements listed below needed to run adobe photoshop cs3 are required and are not met:
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
- Windows Vista"
It gives the same error for the other 2 programs as well.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps already with no luck:
1. Run Setup.exe as Administrator
2. Run Setup.exe in compatibility mode (either as Windows XP SP2, or Windows Vista)
3. Logged-in to Administrator profile and tried installing from there
4. did the regsvr32 on both vbscript.dll and jscript.dll.
5. Tried the CS3 cleanup tool at multiple levels.
6. Made sure there are no other Adobe products installed
7. Called Adobe Tech support, they are no help. They said to re-install the OS, which doesn't make any sense since it's a clean install.
No AV installed yet, so that's not the issue either.
Any ideas?I realise I'm a bit late to the party here.. but after spending a few hours going through the Adobe CS3 Bootstrapper and Install process and files, I have the answer to why Windows 7 does not meet the minimum requirements.
The answer is in the xml files contained in the payloads for the CS3 Installation.
Line 72786 of AdobeIllustrator13en_US.proxy.xml :
<SystemRequirementsJSON>[
{"OS":{"Windows":{"XP":{"Exclude":true,"Require":{"MinServicePack":"2","@servicePack64Bit" :1
,"Need64Bit":"0"}},"Server2003":{"Exclude":true},"Vista":{"Require":true}}},
"Memory":{"System":{"Default":{"Require":"512","Exclude":"500"}}},
"Display":{"Default":{"Require":{"Width":"1024","Height":"768"},"Exclude":{"Width":"800"," Height":"600"}}}
]</SystemRequirementsJSON>
Basically it is this: For Adobe Illustrator CS3 the following is supported: Windows XP SP2, or Vista ONLY
Not Windows XP SP2 or above, or Windows XP SP2 and Vista or above ...
The same is in several other files, but not all. Illustrator and InDesign are the 2 that I know of.
I have 500 odd machines that I need to deploy this software to.
If Adobe would like to offer a work around with consideration to deploying the software silently via Microsoft SMS to 500 Windows 7 Workstations - I would be most grateful.
My rage at software installer developers with such little foresight is only tempered by the knowledge that the task itself is so difficult.
However, that does not excuse the lack of thought given to how enterprise level administrators are supposed to deal with updates, patches, and deployments to machines where users have limited rights, and the difficulty that is caused by the inclusion of unhelpful and sparse documentation and software (such as Adobe Updater). -

Applying Patches in Solaris 10 x86
Hello,
I have been testing Solaris 10 x86.
I am trying to determine the best method for applying patches, as I do not have a Sun Service Plan.
I have used smpatch analyze and smpatch update to apply the required paches to my system, but I am not sure that I am getting the patches that I should be. It seems that when I run smpatch analyze and smpatch update, not all of the patches are applied (aside from the ones that should be installed in single user mode).
I know that without a service plan, I only qualify for hardware patches and security updates.
Please advise,
Thanks for your help.Homework question:

I want to apply patch 7653364 and 8222387
But it requires the ff:
1. Required Code levels
This patch requires additional code levels to have been successfully
applied to your system before it can be applied. These code levels,
as at the time that this patch was built, are listed below. Please check
Oracle Metalink to determine if any of these have been superseded
* R12.AD.A.delta.4
* R12.ATG_PF.A.delta.4
==========
How do I know if I have these already in my EBS R12 RUP6 ?
Thanks a lot -
Problems applying patch 8.1.7.1.1
WE HAVE 2 SEPARATE INSTALLATIONS AS FOLLOWS:
1)
NT4 / DB 8.1.7.0 / iAS 1.0.2.0(portal 3.0.7) all under same machine
WE USE THIS SERVER FOR TESTING
2)
W2000 / DB 8.1.7.0 / iAS 1.0.2.2 (portal 3.0.9). db in one server, iAS in another server.
WE ARE PLANNING TO USE THESE SERVERS
FOR PRODUCTION.
WE WANTED TO APPLY PATCH 8.1.7.1.1 IN THE PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT BUT WE DECIDED TO TRY IT FIRST IN THE TEST ENVIRONMENT.
WE STARTED THE INSTALLATION AND ALL WENT FINE UNTIL STEP 5 ,WHEN YOU NEED TO "CONNECT INTERNAL" AND RUN SOME SQL SCRIPTS (CATALOG.SQL, CATPROC.SQL, etc...)
WE COULD NOT CONNECT AS INTERNAL. THEREFORE, WE COULD NOT FINISH THE WHOLE PROCESS FOR THE PATCH INSTALLATION.
TO MY SURPRISE, THE DB AND THE PORTAL ARE STILL WORKING NORMALLY!! IS THIS REASONABLE?
CAN I RUN THE SQL SCRIPTS REQUIRED IN STEP 5 AS "SYS" USER INSTEAD OF "INTERNAL"?
TKS!!TKS PHILIP!
IN ORDER TO CONNECT WITH "SYS" THEN THE DATABASE HAS TO BE UP AND RUNNING.
I DON'T REMEMBER THE INSTALLATION STEPS MENTIONING TO START THE DATABASE PRIOR TO RUN THE SQL SCRIPTS (UNDER "INTERNAL").
ANY ADVICES? -
Dear all,
I am very new to Oracle database, so question arise and I post them.
I need to know that why do we apply patches and what is DBA's advice regarding applying patches.
Thanks to all
benI am very new to Oracle database, so question arise
and I post them. Welcome! Being new to Oracle you should get used to have the documentation always handy and also use search abilities for example from this site. The Concepts guide is a good book to start reading from, and never stop actually (meaning, go back to it on a regular basis). Administrator's, Reference and SQL Reference are other hot titles.
Also, you could search forums about patches
I need to know that why do we apply patches and what
is DBA's advice regarding applying patches. There could also be business reasons that demand patch set or patches.
- system compatibility requirements
- upgrade of application components that use certain features, which might not work (properly) without patching
- for Support it is advisable to be on the Current/latest Patch set

Queue_not_empty error while applying patch
I am getting the following error message while applying SEM patch on IDES BW3.5/SEM 4.0 on Windows 2003 server and having Oracle 9i as database
Error in phase : Check_Requirement
Reason for error : Queue_Not_Empty
Please resolve this issue as I require to apply the patch urgently .Hello Sunil,
CHECK_REQUIREMENTS
This phase checks various requirements for importing a Support Package. It may terminate for the following reasons:
○ TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_TO_SYSTEM: tp cannot log on to the database of the system.
○ QUEUE_NOT_EMPTY: The tp buffer contains incompletely processed OCS requests.
Use the following tp command to display these requests:
tp SHOWBUFFER <SID> -D SOURCESYSTEMS= TAG=SPAM
You can only continue to import the queue after these requests have been completely processed, or deleted from the tp buffer
Not recommended but to clear the queue:
Tables PAT01 and PAT03 stores the support package list and its phase respectivily. You can delete table contents for PAT03 using DB procedures

Hi,
My client is in delhi(already development server was installed).I want to apply patches from my office(i.e.in mumbai) through remote desktop.I dont have saprouter. Is it possible to apply patches like this, how we have to proceed.
ThankuHi,
You can apply SP using RDP. All you to do is just download your patches to the server and follow
1. -> Download all the required .SAR and .CAR file
to /usr/sap/trans or to relavant transport directory.
2. -> after copying/downloading file to the /trans directory
run SAPCAR -xvf <package name>.SAR or
<package name>.CAR it will automatically copy all the
*.PAT and *.ATT file to /EPS/in
3. -> now go to R3 level and run Tcode SPAM.
4. -> now load packages from the application server.
5. -> you will be able to see uploaded packages with the green
light.
6. -> Now add SP to the queue by going in to display/define
queue.
Best of Luck,

I want to use the OEM to apply a patch to the database. On step 4 "Stage or Apply" it shows a DOS script with comments about stopping services and bringing them back up and performing post installation tasks.
What do I need to put in here? Will it automatically stop the database if I leave it as is? or do I have to work out the DOS commands to stop the database, Application Server etc and put them in this file before scheduling it?user589812 wrote:
