Minimum supported NW/ECC release (SNC)

Hi SAP PM,
i have a customer who likes to setup SAP SSO for his older SAP landscape. Can you please let me know, if the following ECC versions are supported by the SAP CommonCryptoLib/SecureLoginLibrary:
ECC 6.00 (ERP)
ECC 6.03 (ERP)
ECC 6.06 (HCM)
ECC 6.17 (ERP)
The SAP SSO PAM says 4.6c, 6.20, 6.40 and 7.x+. Just want to make sure, if this was ever tested or is anyhow supported by SAP.

Hello Carsten,
Actually ECC versions are different from SAP ABAP Applications Server Versions and I mixed by mistake the SAP ABAP Applications Server Versions mentioned in PAM (SAP SSO 2.0 SP03) with ECC.
SAP ERP 6.0 (including ECC) runs on NW 7.01, 7.02, 7.03, 7.3, 7.31, 7.4
Secure Login Library supports these NW versions, so the ECC versions mentioned by you are also supported because they run on these NW versions.

A. FEP stands for Front-End Patch. FEPs are the patches that SAP releases for the BW front-end components of the SAP GUI.
They can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace (SMP login required), browsing to the following locations:
BW 3.5 Addon can be found at Downloads -> SAP Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> BI ADDON FOR SAPGUI -> BW 3.5 ADDON FOR SAPGUI 7.10-> Win32.
BW 7.0 Addon can be found at Downloads -> SAP Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> BI ADDON FOR SAPGUI -> BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAPGUI 7.10-> Win32.

I am trying to install grid infrastructure (latest release available on OTN) on 2 nodes running oracle linux 6.3 and getting the following/subject error:

Adding daemon to inittab
CRS-4123: Oracle High Availability Services has been started.
ohasd is starting
ADVM/ACFS is not supported on oraclelinux-release-6Server-3.0.2.i686

11.2.0.3 ACFS new supported OS platforms and data services :
1. OL6 with RedHat Compatible Kernel* / RHEL6 - Update 3* - starting in 11.2.0.3.4GIPSU*
2. OL6 with RedHat Compatible Kernel* / RHEL6 - Update 0,1,2* - starting in 11.2.0.3.3.GIPSU*
*11.2.0.3 release:*
1. If you have installed 11.2.0.3 Grid Infrastructure on the a version of the UEK which ACFS does not support, the Grid Infrastructure install will succeed but ACFS will not function.
Actions to take if you want to use ACFS:
Action 1: If available, install a patchset or patch bundle which supports the version of the UEK in question (which will automatically run 'acfsroot install').
OR
Action 2: Reboot on a prior kernel version where ACFS is supported and then run 'acfsroot install' on each node of the cluster.
In either case (both Action #1 & Action #2), run 'acfsroot enable' on each node of the cluster to restore the ACFS CRS resources.

when install Grid Infrastructur, exactly when run script:

From what I can gather, yes or no will not be the right answer, but "it depends".
If you read further you will see that Oracle recommends that you create Oracle data files in Oracle ASM disk groups. Creating Oracle data files on an Oracle ACFS file system is not supported. Oracle ACFS resources are not supported for Oracle Restart, etc.
So I guess whether or not you have a problem because of lack of ACFS and ADVM depends on what you are trying to accomplish. For ASM, you don't need it.

Starting with Oracle Database 11.2.0.2, Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel is supported. Oracle ACFS and Oracle ADVM are not supported with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel in 11.2.0.2 and earlier releases.
Apparently there are some work-arounds required when using the RHEL kernel. Google will give you some clues.

Function Download not support in ECC 6.0

Dear All ,
Now i faced the problem when upgrade my coding to ECC6.0 , my current program is using Call funtion "Download" to export the report data to Excel, but this "Download" function is not support in ECC 6.0 , they suggest me to use call function "GUI_dowload", but this function cannot give me the features like "Donwload" funtion . Any others function which can use in ECC 6.0 and same features like "Download" .

Those functions are obsolete, ([Note 594356 - Function modules ws_upload and ws_download are obsolete|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/594356])
Use news FM GUI_DOWNLOAD or class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES method GUI_DOWNLOAD.

Hi Krish,
Go to Tcode: WE30 and do a F4 on the Obj. Name field this will list all the IDOC Types supported by SAP, to get more information go to WE60(you could do a F4 here too - against Basic Type) and use the IDOC Type to read the documentation for the same.

Settings required to send ROEMPROACT2 XML from ECC to SNC

Hi All,
Can anyone explain the config that will be required on ECC / PI / SNC to send ROEMPROACT2 XML from ECC side and recevie the PAN XML successfully on the SNC side.
I already went through this link : Using ROEMPROACT2 but couldnt understand.
Also what transaction to use to check if the XML has been sent out successfully from the ECC system (Like we use WE05 for the Idocs)

Hi Bharath,
In ECC you need to maintained the PI logical system in transaction SXMB_ADMIN.
In PI you need to mapped XML mapping <ECCLogical_system>|ProductActivtyNotification_Out|<SNC_Logical_System>
In SNC you need to maintain ProductActivityNotification_In XML configuration(By default this setting will be there) if it is not maintained then:
Go to SPRO>Supply Network Collaboration>Basic Settings>Processing Inbound and Outbound Messages>Process Types for Inbound Messages-->Assign Inbound XML Messages to Default Process Types
XML Message=ProductActivityNotification_Inbound
Process type=Supplier Collaboration.
Go to transaction code SXMB_MONI or SXI_MONITOR to check XML message in ECC.

Demand transfer from ECC to SNC using RSMIPROACT Programme

Presently we are using RSMIPROACT to transfer demand (Planned independent Requirements-T-code MD61)from ECC to SNC.
It transfers the demand always from version 02 and not from the active version 00.
I want to know whether there is config to change this.We want to send through 00 verison also.

In ERP system, transaction OMPD. Each transaction has been assigned to active version.
I believe in your case it is version 02 as active.(Guess)
If you want both active version and other version data to be sent, then try to enhance the code in includes available in RSMIPROACT program.
Kindly seek help of PP guy and ABAPER.
Hope this helps, As per my knowledge we have different versions, so that we can simulate long term PIR and differentiate between various planning approaches.

The requirement is we do not want to have output message / Idoc created in ECC to send the PO.

The purchase requisitions can be sent to SNC using the standard report RSMIPROACT for Dynamic Replenishment Scenario.
The Purchase requistions are sent as a part of Customer firm net requirements.
In the screen Transfer Stocks and Requirements to SAP ICH/SNC
Set the Tab to Dynamic Replenishment.
Then input the Plant,MRP Area, Material and Target System.
Select the data to be sent(only for DR)
Duely check the Purchase Requisition.
Then the data can be seen in webui under Demand -
Order Forecast Monitor.--Overview/Details

No transfer exists for goods receipt reference(From ECC to SNC )

Hi All,
We are facing one issue in ECC and SNC while transferring Goods Reciept Information to SNC via ECC.
We recieved ASN information from SNC and did Goods Reciept against ASN via Inbound delivery.
Now when we used the report RSMIPROACT to transfer Goods Reciept Information it is giving message
"No transfer exists for goods receipt referenc".
I did all setting like
I ticked check box for Goods Reciept Reference and Delivery03.
Source list is maintained and also Message type STPOD is configured for Logical system.
Please can some one help me in telling me why system is not selecting any PO for transfer of GR information even tough Goods Reciept is done for PO.
OR
Is there anyotherway where we can send the Goods Reciept Information from ECC to SNC

Make sure in We20 following setting is required:
Go to your partner type LS (logical system) and create outbound parameter:
Message Type:STPPOD
Receiver Port:<Your port number> which connects to PI from ECC
Transfer IDoc Immed checked with Output mode=2
Basic type:DELVRY03
Checked Cancel Processing After Syntax Error.
No other setting is required in above outbound parameter.
Go to RSMIPROACT report
You need enter following data:
1)Plant
2)MRP area of plant
3)If want for all material then enter * or enter list of materials
4)Enter target system (SNC system)
5)checked only Goods receipt Reference
6)In execution parameter select Update run radio button
7)Log select log complete report
8)IDoc type DELVRY03
Lastly main thing is GR date enter GR date.
When you execute RSMIPROACT report you will get this message "No transfer exists for goods receipt reference" then it will ask whether you want to change your selection click on <b>NO</b>.
Now check whether IDoc is got triggered or not?

ASN Received Quantity is getting doubled after GR posted in ECC against SNC inbound delivery.
This behaviour is same in MIGO and also in VL32N.
Would appreciate if any one who implemented SNC got this issue.

I have face this issue when GR information is sent to SNC 2 times.
We are using RSMIPROACT report to update GR status to SNC in that we have notice it does not check that ASN GR is sent to SNC.If you execute RSMIPROACT report 2 times then it will show GR quantity in SNC double.
If you execute 3 times then will be show 3-times there is no check in RSMIPROACT report.
You are getting issue because you are sending GR information multiple time.
Solution for this is execute once day(midnight job) then you won't get this issue.

Minimum Freight Commitment - ECC 6.0 Transportation

Dear all,
We are implementing ECC 6.0 Transportation for one of our clients and are facing the following problems. Requesting you for any suggestions to handle these. :
1) Our customer gives minimum commitments to its transporters in terms of the freight they would be paid per truck. E.G. A truck can carry 20 Ton. Minimum Commitment is 15 To. Freight rate is 100 Rs / Ton. Even if a truck is deployed for less than 15 tons the transporter would be liable for 1500 INR. If it is given more than 15 Tons, the freight payable would be weight*rate. How can this be implemented in SAP. I tried using condition exclusion but am unable to use it for a reason that is too elaborative for me to specify on this forum. Is there anything else I can do ?
2) Is there a standard provision\ feature for calculating the penalties like transit delay (transporter takes more time then agreed to delivery the goods), Transit loss etc.
3) I saw there are lists available for check in (VT16)and shipment completion statuses in Transportation. Can such lists be made for other statuses too ?

BASIS should be able to help you on this, but recommended is to keep your ECC system and BW system at same patch level.
And individually keep BW patch level at one less then the most recent released by SAP.
