Just found one host with these two folders still in the root of c:

Hello, yaro137.
If your deployment did not finish (not all Steps in Task Sequence passed), logs are remaining in C:\MININT. Usually it does not mean that deployment was unsuccessful.
You can check which step fails by enabling Monitoring from Deployment Workbench and watch OSD process.
You can delete this folder without any consequences, but I recommend you to figure it out which taks fails.

Build and deploy windows service

I want to build windows service application through build definition and deploy it through Release Management.
Build definition creates _PublishedWebsites and no exe is created.
I believe Create service component in Release Management requires path (BinPath) where exe is located.
How can I achieve this? Please guide.

I'd like to know whether you have build you windows service project successfully using TFS Build, and what's the version of TFS and Team Explorer(accompany with VS) you're using. If you cannot build the project successfully, please check the build
log. Make sure you can build before the deployment using Release Management. I use TFS 2013 Update 2 and have a try to build windows service project with TFS Build and it builds fine, the execution file can be generated normally.
When use Release Management for the deployment, you can create a Release template. Then set the build definition to the one that can build your project. And also configure path to package to point to drop location, add needed tools of "windows
service" to your release template to make it available for your deployment. Check this
page for more informatino about Release Management tools. And this
page for more info about Automate deployments with Release Management. And this

If you don't want to use Release Management, you can also use TFS Build to deploy your windows service project. Check this

Menu colors shift after build

OK, so my menus look good in DVDSP, and in the simulator. However, after building, when tested in the DVD Player, they look "washed out". Everything is lighter, less saturated...
I don't have any fancy broadcast standard video equipment here... but I'm watching DVD Player on the same monitor that I'm using to create the DVDSP project - I'm not that worried (yet) that the color is "accurate" in some way, I just want the DVD Player to look the same as the simulator - are there some settings I need to play with?
The video content itself does not seem to have a color shift from the simulator - only the menus. I did not make the menus (I mean the elements), I bought some Templates from a company that produces DVDSP Template Packs and loaded them into DVDSP.
I'm somewhat familiar with the whole issue of color spaces and gamuts etc., but I don't really see any settings in DVDSP to manage this.

I managed to fix this issue, here's what I did in case anyone else has this problem.
The issue was that the DVD template I purchased has a motion background, and when you apply the template to a menu (for example), it adds the a QuickTime movie for the background. The fact that DVDSP was rendering the .mov into a .m2v during the build is what caused the color shift.
I took the .mov background file, and ran it through Compressor to turn it into a .m2v file (with the same preset I used on all my other video), and then imported that asset and applied it to all the menus. After build, no more color shift.

MDT Deployment share and SQL Share on different servers

I would like help to figure out how to deal with my MDT Deployment share being on a different server than my SQL Share. I am trying to use the MDT Database in MDT 2013 and SQL Server Express 2014. My deployment share is located on a Linux File Server share,
and my MDT Server and SQL Express Server are located on the same Windows Server 2012 VM.My Bootstrap.ini therefore looks like this:

Therefore, the problem is that during winPE Bootup, WinPE connects to the deploymentshare using the provided credentials just fine, and tries to process customsettings. However, I can map a network drive to the SQL Share as seen in the logs by the following
errors:
1.ERROR-Unable to map a network drive to \\SQLServer\Logs
2. ZTI Error opening SQL Connection:[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access is denied.
3.Unable to establish database connection using [CAPPS] properties.
In WinPE, as soon as I hot F8, and use net use \\SQLServer\Logs, the deployment works fine and the properties are read from the database during each section process..
Why is MDT Unable to map the \\SQLServer\Logs , and it requires the manual use of net use? Must I move the deployment share to the same server as my SQL Server Server? Thanks so much.

Single MDT Database and two Deployment shares

I have two unique Deployment shares as I have separated my Deployment shares by OS, as such I have a Windows 7 DS, and a Windows 8.1 DS. The reason behind this is shear size for the number of models I have to support, it would bloat the image over the
15GB mark it sits today.
That all being said what I am attempting to do is utilize a single database as it all houses the proper site information (all 500+ locations), however the issue I am running into is with the fact that if I have an Application bundle in my Windows 7 DS
with dependencies, and I go add the Bundle for the machine to the database in my Windows 8 DS then it overwrites the database information completely and I lose the capability to install the app bundle in my Win7 deployment.
I do understand that if I had both OS within a single DS and had multiple TS for the OS deployment and all the bundles created by OS version and utilized the logic to only install on specific OS version I could get this to work rather easily but as stated
above I support over 40 Models of PC in my windows 7 image and cannot add to its size as it is already a hassle to distribute.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The "Completely" meant that due to the mismatched GUIDs it was overwriting the database entry for the working Deployment share when I added the new Bundle . I have since copied the Bundles from one Deployment share to the other and that seems to
have resolved most of my issues, However I am still seeing in the Applications.xml file that it pulls the applications from the Windows 7 side for Bundles if I do not have an application in that same Bundle for the Windows 8 side. This would attempt to install
even if the app was set only for the Windows 7 side as a SupportedPlatform, as it was added to the Applications.xml file and would always error out because it was unable to find the application for that GUID.
Basically I have a Bundle for all Laptops and on the Windows 7 side I have a few apps that get installed and we are not that far into Windows 8 to needs these same apps yet which is why it was empty on the Windows 8 side.
So your suggestion is indeed the solution but also wanted to make people aware that there cannot be an empty Bundle on one of the Deployment Shares if there are Apps in that Bundle on the other Deployment share.

Mavericks and MacMini - after sleep mode windows resized and glued to left upper corner

I have MacMini and HDMI monitor. When I go to bed, I use sleep mode and off monitor using power button (I don't like standby light). When I woke up, I press on my touchpad to wake up my MacMini, after that I stand up and turning on monitor. All works fine, until I installed Mavericks. Now, after turning on, all windows changed size to very small and glued to left upper corner. I can't resize or move window. Only shutdown app can help. But, I can't shutdown Finder, I need reboot MacMini. It's very annoying.
As I understand, this problem appear, when I wake up MacMini before turning monitor on. When I turned on monitor and after that woke up MacMini, windows don't change his sizes.
What can I do to solve this problem?

This issue is driving me insane. I lock my computer a couple of times a day as I go to meeting and what not. Everytime either Outlook or VMWare or Chrome will be screwed up when I awake it from sleep. I have to kill the app and start it back up again or I can't get it out of its weird "docked" mode. Basically the application window will be nearly off the screen. I can move it on the screen but the caption will be off screen still and I will not be able to size the window at all. It really messes VMWare's mind up when this happens.
I wanted Mavericks as it was supposed to fix multiple monitor issues but it has made it worse. Very sorry I upgraded. I hope they fix it in the next bug patch. I just cuss at the stupid thing when I wake it.
MacBook Pro 16g of memory with external 24" monitor via HDMI -> DVI connector. Laptop is primary monitor on the left, external monitor is on the right. Mavericks is in the doghouse just below both of them.

Try different USB Cable, try different Charger. Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, most likely it could be battery or charging port assembly that need replacement.

IPhone 4 (verizon) not syncing. After back-up, it stops and disappears from left nav

Today I tried my iphone on an other window XP computer (a computer where no itunes was installed in de past). And I made another account for itunes on that computer after installing itunes. The connection was perfect and my iphone could syncing with itunes, no problemes at all. After that I tried my iphone on my own computer with the new account for itunes, but there was the same crash and restart as in the past (problems in sector one of the harddisk?). Now I'm sure for 100% that there is a computer problem and not an iphone problem, caused by interrupting the syncing procedure by myself through using the iphone. I hope the problem can be solved in the near future, cause I can imagine that I'm not the only one who tried to do this.

Yes I have tried that last weekend ad this weekend. I have tried wi fi at different times of the day too; in case it is speed issue. I have tried selecting only backing up limited content and not every thing per what other users suggest.
It's maybe either the router is lousy or there is something wrong with my software or hardware.

It has error number -50.

If it only happens with this project, it's probable some media files have become corrupted.
Those may be render files. Make sure background rendering is off. Select the project in the browser and from the file menu, choose Delete Project Render Files; choose All from the dialog. Without rendering,try exporting.
If that doesn't work, use an optimized version of your DSLR clips. (Right click on the clips in the browser and hit Transcode.)
