MiniSAP for XI

Hi Everyone,
I am new to XI Field and want to learn XI by my own. But for practice i need miniSAP or IDES on my system. Is the MiniSAP available for download on SDN site does contain XI so that I can practice XI on that own??
Please halp me where I can Practice for XI.

No it is not avialbe you need buy separately .XI does not come free . you need to buy licences to install XI.XI installation is not available in SDN.

here,i tried changing the computer name as well,but still i could not logon to NSP through SAP logon pad.Kindly have a look.

P/S: Sometimes after work, i would like to get access to ABAP Workbench Editor too. Does anyone know what are the tools i can use to practice my ABAP after work?

Unable to renew Minisap NSP license

I am unable to renew my license - the email I receive from [email protected] contains a key that looks like it's encrypted or something - it's about 300-400 bytes long. It's in an attachment to the email I get, named nsp.txt. I don't know if Outlook or McAfee has created that attachment, thinking the message was untrustworthy, or that's the way it was originally sent. I use to get an email with instructions for renewing the license - this message is empty except for a line of asterisks.
Here's what's in that attachment when i bring it up in Notepad:

I've tried using http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap for the renwe request, as well as another URL I found in a post elsewhere - both gave me the same results.
Can anyone help with this? The clock is ticking on my renewal window and I'd like to get this resolved befre I turn into a pumpkin. Thanks!

I was finally able to get the license installed. Here's how I did it:
1. Modifed the SAP profile file (search forums for "DVEBMGS00 and ssf/ssfapi_lib and
sec/libsapsecu" for the post that tells what needs to be changed)
2. Fired up SAP
3. Using transaction SLICENSE: specified "New License" and then pointed the transaction to the file ("nsp.txt" in my case) I received as a result of my NW04s renewal request.
(As an aside, I notice that the file reflects a 90-day end date - I wonder what would have happened if I had changed that file to show the year 2010 or something? Would I then have a quasi-permanent license? Inquiring minds want to know ...)

do you have an antivirus- or firewall-program installed which perhaps blocks the connection?
I've tested it and all I had to do was to double-click the Database Manager icon on the desktop, click the Add button at the welcome page, didn't change any settings in the popup and click on the Add button again.
Also you could check the following:
1. Open Start -> Run..., type in services.msc and click Ok
2. Now you should see a list of the services of your computer
3. There you should find the 2 entries MAXDB: NSP and SAPNSP_00
4. Both should be started and the startup type should be automatic

NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version extended key

I am requesting a 90 day extended key from http://www.sap.com/minisap for NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and they keep emailing me the long digital key when I need the 24 character key. I select NSP - SAP NetWeaver 7.0/2004s (SP9 and higher) as the System ID and key in my active hardware key.
Does anyone know how to update the license key for the trial version?

I've installed "minisap" for ABAP programming. But when I try to create program I receive the following message:
"No changes on SAP objects allowed
Message no. TK 220"
Could anyone help me with it?

On the face of it, it seems you're trying to change the standard SAP objects (programs). Could you specify which program you're trying to change / add ?
Remember, all your new programs should begin with either a 'Z' or 'Y'.

I have installed trial version of SAP on my laptop computer and sent the information to SAP at www.sap.com/minisap for extending the license. But I have received very long key back from [email protected] It believe it has to be 24 charaters.
Has anyone seen this problem?

Just don't change anything, first save that file in your desktop as a notepad. And
To get an SAP License you have to complete the
following steps:
1) Find out the machine on which the SAP message server is running.
2) Get your hardware key by running "saplicense -get"
     on the machine where the SAP message server is running.
3) Logon to SAPnet and send a license request to SAP.
4) On receipt of your license key from SAP, install it
     using "saplicense -install".
     As a more convenient way to install the license please
     use the transaction SLIC in the SAP system.

MiniSAP can be downloaded from SDN site for free. Although it is 90 days trial copy, it helps for someone to learn and practice.

i have installed the minisap 4.6d system in the windows 200 prof os.
i had the following problem in my minisa access.
while Displaying table contents with transactions SE11 or SE16
gives an error "No changes on SAP objects allowed".
while Accessing the logical database F1S gives a syntax error because the
include DBF1SF01 is missing.
so i have used the mbspatch1 that comes with the cd.
i have copied the mbscorr0104200 file in the directory '<MBS_DIR>\trans\tmp' as mentioned.
and i have followed the steps as follows.but i have the same problem.please have a look at the
process below and hel me to make it work roerly.
this roblem is really eating me a lot and since many in this forum are sap master,thought
you all can help me please.

Developer Key for MiniSAP

Gurus:
Does anyone know how to get a Developer Key for MiniSAP?
I had successfully installed MiniSAP and have been coding ABAP for a month...now I had to update the License for MiniSAP and since I have successfully installed the new license (good for 90 days), now when I enter SE38 to modify or create my code it asks for a Developer's Key (also called a License Key).
If I go to OSS with my S-User that doesn't work either, as DEMOSYSTEM is not a registered system to ask for a key.
I'm stumped....any guidance would be deeply appreciated, as at the moment...no coding possible.
(I could reinstall MiniSAP, but then I lose all my code) eh?

P.S. I do see the key # in the table DEVACCESS, but when I type in that key for BCUSER...well...nothing....doesn't accept that key.
