Minisap problem

I installed minisap on my windows xp machine. Everything installed fine according to the logs... When I got to the object navigator the top part of the object list where you select things like "development class/package", "programs", ... just shows a page cannot be displayed error just like IE does when it cannot find a website (the same error page).
I am assuming that it cannot find some file, but how do I fix it... I looked around on the net and it seems like I have to install some patch, but what patch and where can I find it.

It would help if you stated what GUI and release you were using. I am assuming 4.6D from your other post.
Your problem is caused by a security patch in windows. To solve this you can down load the current patch for the GUI as suggested. Or you can download a 6.40 GUI from the download centre here at SDN. Look under the NetWeaver full ABAP posting. (The first button does not download, but lists requirements and preconditions).
You may want to uninstall the 4.6D GUI before installing the 6.40 one.

MiniSAP - Problems with developer key

Hi @all,
today, I started installing the Minisap System on my PC. (SAP NetWeaver Sneak Preview on MaxDB).
After the installation I logged on to the System with the User "BCUSER".
I started t-code "SE38" to start developing some ABAP programms.
Now, I have to insert a valid developer key, which I can - according to the Installation Guide - find on<a href="http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap">http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap</a>.
The key I found there is: 29671482393151224771
So I entered this key in the field, but my System said, it was an invalid key.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I checked many potential nonconformities, but had no success:
- I definitly inserted the correct key found on the website, because I used the copy and paste function.
- I restarted both the instance and after that the whole pc.
- I installed a new valid 90-day license key from SAP
- My SID is definitly "NSP", Installation-Number: "DEMOSYSTEM"
Does anyone has an Idea, how I can resolve this problem? Is there another developer key available for the NSP WebAS 6.40 System?

I tried to solve my problem on the way you said, but again, the error message "invalid key" appeared.
Is it possible, that there is a general problem with my installation?

i have installed the minisap 4.6d system in the windows 200 prof os.
i had the following problem in my minisa access.
while Displaying table contents with transactions SE11 or SE16
gives an error "No changes on SAP objects allowed".
while Accessing the logical database F1S gives a syntax error because the
include DBF1SF01 is missing.
so i have used the mbspatch1 that comes with the cd.
i have copied the mbscorr0104200 file in the directory '<MBS_DIR>\trans\tmp' as mentioned.
and i have followed the steps as follows.but i have the same problem.please have a look at the
process below and hel me to make it work roerly.
this roblem is really eating me a lot and since many in this forum are sap master,thought
you all can help me please.

MiniSAP - How can I get an "entwicklerschlu00FCssel" or "development key"

Hi,
I fixed my miniSAP-problems a few minutes ago. But now there is a new one.
So, when I want to build a new table, the System asks for a "entwicklerschlüssel". The key must be 20 signs
long.
What should I write in there?? Or, where can I become this key??

The ReadMe.txt from MBS_patch1.zip, says:
1) Copy the file MBSCORR01042000 to C:\MBS\trans\tmp.
2) Open a DOS window (RUN cmd).
3) Change directory to C:\MBS, thus:
C:\local\user>cd C:\MBS
4) Execute the command to set the environment, thus:
C:\MBS>dbenv.cmd
5) Change the directory to C:\MBD\trans\tmp thus:
C:\MBS>cd trans\tmp
6) Run the import, thus:
C:\MBS\trans\tmp>..\..\R3trans.exe -i MBSCORR01042000
NOTE 1: The '..\..\' is part of the command, it is telling the OS where to find R3trans.exe.
NOTE 2: Use R3trans.exe not just R3trans.
NOTE 3: This assumes you have installed miniSAP in the directory C:\MBS.

In MiniSap you got two users BCUSER (For Development) and DDIC (for table mantenience).
You can't mix the functionality of both...I tried...but failed -:P

MINISAP Inst. Problem. MBSDATA1.MDF File format not recognizable

Hello friends,
I am facing one problem. I have completely installed MINISAP successfully as per the instructions given in the installtion CD.
Now the system is not able to recognize the file format of the file MBSDATA1.MBS
This is the file that is used to start the MINISAP. Unless this file run, I cannot run MINISAP.
Please help. Points will be rewarded generously for the solution.

Minisap 4.6d installation problem

Hi experts,
While iam installing the minisap 4.6d,iam facing the follwoing problem....(i got the CDs from Abap Ojects book)
"Could not find SQL-Server Instance "MSSQLSERVER" on your DB host "admin". You must install SAP into the default instance or into a named instance that has the same name as your SAP system (SID)."
Could any one let me know, where i need make the changes...

Actually i have installed this software 2 times in the earlier.This is 30days trail version.
Since it was expired, iam trying to load it again.I did not understand what is the problem now.

MiniSAP tp problem - please help

Hi!
I am trying to follow the Microsoft installation guidelines for installing the ADO.NET data provider for SAP. I have a miniSAP 4.6D system on Windows 2003. Some of the instuctions from Microsoft are below. Item 2 below (addtobuffer) worked fine: I got return code 0. But item 3 (import) is giving me an ERROR: connect to MBS failed (0232).
Please help! I am new to SAP and have worked on this problem all day with no progress.

The "Do Not Disconnect" screen will continue to stay displayed on your iPod, simply because you either have Disk Use enabled, or you are manually managing your iPod's songs.
If you are automatically syncing songs to your iPod, then disable disk use.

Minisap 4.6 login Problem

Hi All,
I have installed minisap 4.6c in my pc... my os is Win XP service pack 2.... i faced the following problem when i tried to logon..
description : MBS
SID :MBS
application server : my pc name or IP address
sap system : R/3
system number : 00
I first execute Start SAP MBS engine.. then i tried to logon but it showed the following error message:

Failed to set socket option TCP_NODELAY (setsockopt)
An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.

MiniSap MBS "Abap Objects" problem HELP

I just bought ABAP objects book MiniSap MBS released in 2001, and managed to istall with no problems.
My problem is that in the object navigator , i can not see the object selector.
Has anyone been through this problem and how to fix it??
I am talking about SAP MBS 4.6 Not the AS web 6.2.

MiniSAP Navigator Problem Win XP SP2

I am using the SAP Mini Basis System to practice ABAP programming. My problem is that in the Object Navigator, the Object List Selector is not displayed. This problem was already described here in an earlier discussion.
I am using Win XP SP2, SAP GUI 6.20 (from Galileo Press book ABAP objects). Is there an other patch around? My problem is that I cannot download from SAP Service since I am not a customer. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats the GUI update patch. That works.
Install it. Reboot PC and restart miniSAP. Use new shortcuts created and enter new host in SAPlogon.
