Minisap with ep
hi,
is there still a minisap with an ep available to download?
I know there was a link for a vmware java trial version but it is no longer reachable...
Hello Klaus,
the download-link is for the NW JAVA on VMWARE is here:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7005cdbf-ba8b-2a10-81b0-ebcfe8061f8f
Regarding portal there is a hint on a bolg
"the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java and ABAP Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition does not contain the Portal. But when you have access to the SAP Service Marketplace and you also have the authorization to download the Enterprise Portal Core (EPC), the installation should be straight forward."

Hi,
I am a MiniSAP user. I wanted to write ABAP's programs but I cant change repository objects. I followed the instructions on www.sap.com/minisap with expanding my license and it worked. However as I enter developer key from that site (it is already provided) I still cant change these objects. Why is that? Can't I work as developer in MiniSAP? Please help me. Thank you in advance.Right, you can not change objects outside of the name space. Create your program with the name Z_FIRST_PROGRAM. There is no reason why you must use S_FIRST_PROGRAM for your program name. Do not delete the S_FIRST_PROGRAM, just create your "Z" program.
NSP is the system id for the Sneak Preview Netweaver 2004s, I assumed that you where working with this system.
Anyway, the rule is still the same, you must respect the namespace rules.

Sharing Minisap from one machine
Hi,
I have installed SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version on my machine. I am looking for a way to share my minisap with my colleague. However, i dont know how to setup the connection to my MS Loop back. Can anyone help me?Is this machine on the network within the domain? If so, he could simply set up the SAPgui to point to that machine, he would need to put the full computer name instead of localhost in the sapgui connection.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I recently installed miniSAP with MaxDB. When I tried to start the application server I get the following output.

BW in NW 2004s ABAP Sneak Preview
I have already successfully installed the NW2004s ABAP sneak preview and SAPGUI.
Then I logon to the Easy Access using account 'DDIC/minsap', try to execute the BW Workbench/Modeling, an error happens as 'You can only work in client 001'.
I logon with 'DDIC/minisap' with client 001 to try it again, but another error happens 'logical system is missing' and the DDIC can not create logical system and assign it to the client.
What can I do to make BW work?-quote-
You are right and I need to install SP05 or higher. But the problem is that I don't have account to download the sp from sap swdc.
Do you know where I can get the SP? Is it legal that I use the SP in the NW trial?
Another question is that I create a user named 'BIUser' based on 'ddic', the user can logon to Workbench. But an error as 'username or password is incorrect' always happens when it logon to query designer do you know how to fix it? by the way, I assign the '0bi_all' and 'SP_ALL' to the user.
-endquote-
Hi CF,
Did you ever find out the answer to these questions? I am in the same position; I have a 2004S demo system and am trying to get it running, and I have an OSS ID but it doesn't give me enough access to download software from the swdc. Did you resolve this another way?

Problem with accessing database in minisap 4.6 d( very urgent need ur help)
hi all sap masters please help me.
i have installed the minisap 4.6d system in the windows 200 prof os.
i had the following problem in my minisa access.
while Displaying table contents with transactions SE11 or SE16
gives an error "No changes on SAP objects allowed".
while Accessing the logical database F1S gives a syntax error because the
include DBF1SF01 is missing.
so i have used the mbspatch1 that comes with the cd.
i have copied the mbscorr0104200 file in the directory '<MBS_DIR>\trans\tmp' as mentioned.
and i have followed the steps as follows.but i have the same problem.please have a look at the
process below and hel me to make it work roerly.
this roblem is really eating me a lot and since many in this forum are sap master, thought
you all can help me please.
C:\>cd mbs
C:\MBS>dbenv.cmd
C:\MBS>REM Setting environment for db connect to MBS
C:\MBS>set dbms_type=mss
C:\MBS>set DIR_LIBRARY=.
C:\MBS>set MSSQL_DBNAME=MBS
C:\MBS>cd trans\tmp
C:\MBS\TRANS\TMP>r3trans -i mbscorr01042000
'R3TRANS' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
hope there was some problem here only, but to continue i have pasted the r3trans in the folder C:\MBS\TRANS\TMP
C:\MBS\TRANS\TMP>r3trans -i mbscorr01042000
This is R3TRANS version 6.05 (release 46D - 04.10.00 - 09:16:00).
2EETW169 no connect possible: "connect failed with DBLI_RC_LOAD_LIB_FAILED."
R3TRANS finished (0012).
then i have done the generate program step .
(4) Generate programs:
- Logon as user BCUSER to the MBS system.
- Start transaction SE38.
- Enter the program 'SAPLSTRD' and select 'Program -> Generate'.
- Enter the program 'SAPDBF1S' and select 'Program -> Generate'.
while generating the second program i got the error Accessing the logical database F1S gives a
syntax error because the include DBF1SF01 is missing.
hope somebody could have got the same problem.so please help me with your experience.iam new to this
minisap problems.
again all the problem of acessing the tables exit even after doing the steps.

Struggling with f4 handling in ALV grid - Minisap 46D
Hi to all,
I got an abap problem developing with my Minisap 46D,
and i can't realy struggle out for a solution,
Issue concern using of self defined F4 in ALV ( created via objects),
Each program (standard program as in eg.BCALV_GRID_EDIT )
given by SAP to show use of ALV self definded F4 doesn't wark at all this option,
and when i click on the cell in order to show F4 set of values, program brake down in ABAP error,
Always the same happen with my z programs when they calls method written to manage F4,
following existing examplaes i think i put instructions in the right place and in proper way:
I mean defining implementing and registering onf4 event,
Further i see that standard programs with f4 dumping on my minisap are working proper on the normal SAP at work place,
Does this depend on some Minisap strange bugs in standard ALV class? What can i do?
I would be grateful to anyone who help me solving this SAP mistery,
So I got:
Error analysis (and syntesys of the short dump )
ABAP runtime errors CALL_METHOD_CONFLICT_TYPE

JCO with miniSAP???
Hi!
Has anybody tried to use jCO with miniSAP? Or shortly, is it possible?
I've done all what is said. I was able to compile the first of example codes came in the package but when I tried to execute it, the error "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Example1" emerged.
I have only changed the user info to open the connection in the original code and so I am sure that the only public class name in the code is "Example1".
Thanks...
*--SerdarI installed MiniSap WAS 6.2 and try to connected java application with JCO.
But I didn't obtain sucessfull.
Need to do something in Minisap ? sm59 ? My user need special authorization ?
The error on the screen is "User or password is wrong ".
Thank you,

MiniSAP - Problems with developer key
Hi @all,
today, I started installing the Minisap System on my PC. (SAP NetWeaver Sneak Preview on MaxDB).
After the installation I logged on to the System with the User "BCUSER".
I started t-code "SE38" to start developing some ABAP programms.
Now, I have to insert a valid developer key, which I can - according to the Installation Guide - find on<a href="http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap">http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap</a>.
The key I found there is: 29671482393151224771
So I entered this key in the field, but my System said, it was an invalid key.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I checked many potential nonconformities, but had no success:
- I definitly inserted the correct key found on the website, because I used the copy and paste function.
- I restarted both the instance and after that the whole pc.
- I installed a new valid 90-day license key from SAP
- My SID is definitly "NSP", Installation-Number: "DEMOSYSTEM"
Does anyone has an Idea, how I can resolve this problem? Is there another developer key available for the NSP WebAS 6.40 System?
Thank you for answering
Best regards
RalfThank you,
I tried to solve my problem on the way you said, but again, the error message "invalid key" appeared.
Is it possible, that there is a general problem with my installation?
Is there anyone else with the same problem?
Regards

Hi,
I'm need implement a project for access sap r/3 with visual studio 2005. I will use SAP connector dll, but I need to test the access first in MiniSAP. Is this possible?
Regards
BalbinoDear Guys
I am using SAP 4.6 C and do not want to upgrade it for time being. Basically working on personel project and trying to connect SAP4.6C with a webserver using ASP.NET and .NET Connectors installled in middleware server.
WebServer (ASP.NET) -
> Middleware (C#) -
> SAP4.6C
I want to transfer data from webserver in XML format to middleware and from middleware to SAP using RFC or IDOC.
My question is regarding event triggering that is when an XML file is submitted to Middleware, how middleware can know that a file has been reached and will be sent to SAP.
I have already tried the direct call from WebServer to SAP and it working fine but I want a middleware solution in between in form of C# and .NET Connector. -
JCO with miniSAP ? Need something special ?
I installed MiniSap WAS 6.2 and try to connected java application with JCO.
But I didn't obtain sucessfull.
Need to do something in Minisap ? sm59 ? My user need special authorization ?
The error on the screen is "User or password is wrong ".
Thank you,
RogerioGregor,
I'm just accessing it on my local pc. No plans of opening up the port in my router for the apache server. Anyway here is the code for my servlet.
//Add a connection pool to the specified system
JCO.addClientPool(SID, 100, "000", "bcuser","minisap","EN","ALPHA","00");
//Alias for this pool, Max. number of connections, SAP client, userid, password, language, host name
repository = JCO.createRepository("MYRepository",SID);
I have even tried the "SAP*", "pass" user and it still did not work.
I have another question for the host name. I assume that I could use a IP address for there one? If not I also tried to define a name in the hosts file on windows xp.
I assume that my parameters are correct since the error is about the user not authorized?? -
Problems with MiniSAP-Installation JAVA and ABAP Stack
Hi,
I am a freelance SAP application developer had bought the book and SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe, in order to incorporate me into the topic. In chapter 3, the installation and configuration of an exercise Systemes is described so that you can perform the practical part. I downloaded at the website mentioned the installation files and have performed the installation as described in the book. I have also stopped the service as described in SAP DB WWW.
The installation of the JAVA section runs smoothly and is operational after the installation. The ABAP part crashes, however. According to my research, it is because the ABAP part is also intends to install a MAXDB, although the Java-part has realized this already. Anyone know what I need to do, so I only described as the application server of the ABAP part of getting installed and not again the MAXDB.
RegardsHello Reza,
Just to clarify, Best practise is to update your kernel to the latest before you start patching in your system.
So download SAPEXE.SAR (Database independent kernel package), SAPEXEDB (Database dependent kernel package) and IGSEXE.SAR (IGS Package) from the SMP. kernel is dependent on your operating system and database and therefore make sure you download the right package otherwise you'll end up in messing up the system.
follow SAPnote # 19466 for help.
Once you are done with the kernel update then patch you Abap stack by SPAM and JAva stack by JSPM.
I hope that makes things clear.
Best Regards

Multiple MiniSAP systems on one machine, with remote access
Hi,
I'd like to ask if it is possible to install multiple versions of MiniSAP (6.10, 6.20, 2004, 2004s) on the same machine? An important requirement would be to be able to access all these systems remotely.
Maybe the best option would be to install these onto different virtual machines which can be run at the same time. In this case how should I set up the router for remote access? Also, how can I define the SAPGui entries on my laptop to access these systems?
Many thanks,
TamáIf you are using DHCP (in most cases yes), after setting up virtual machine you will get another IP adress for that virtual machine, so that you are able to connect to this machine and of course connect to SAP system running there. You don't need to do any settings on router.
In SAPGui you will create as many entries as you have SAP systems. -
Problems reading DB with minisap
Hey!
I've bought the book "ABAP Objects" and been trying to get the minisap to work. I've installed all the parts without any errors, but when I start the Object Viewer, I can't see the example DB (S_FLIGHT...).
When I start SAP MBS before logging on, I get this message:
