MiniWAS 6.20 AND SneakPreview 6.40 on one System

Hi,
is it possible to install both MiniWAS 6.20 AND SneakPreview 6.40 on one System ?
In the SneakPreview 6.40 help-File is says:
"If you have installed a previous version of SAP Web Application Server, you have to remove it prior to installing this edition."
I just installed miniwas 6.20 and dont want to crash it by installing sneak preview.
Any comments ?

I shut down all database services (as I used a win2000 system), renamed the sapdb root directory and started a new sapdb installation with the installer from the WAS 6.40 Sneak Preview DVD. Finally you have to change the configuration settings (database id etc.).
Since I am quite new to SAP I cannot estimate if the change succeeded.
However, there might be an easy way to match your requirement:
The WAS 6.40 CeBIT distribution is available for download:
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/linuxlab/test_drive/
It contains both ABAP and J2EE stack on a single system. It is reported that an installation succeeds without any problems on a suse linux entreprise server. Since I am waiting for those WAS CD's I cannot give more advice now. Recent linux distributions are reported to fail. Maybe it depends on the kernel. Do not use 2.6 kernels.

Checklist after the System Setup
     SCM Menu
After you have installed the SCM System, you may have to set up the menu that you want to use.
To do this, access transaction SE38 and run the report /SCMB/SM_VERS.
Choose Full Version and then, choose Execute.
     Check Planning Version 000
In your SAP SCM system, use the following path:
SAP Menu  Advanced Planning and Optimization  Master Data  Planning Version Management  Model and Version Management
Make sure that the planning version 000 Active Version is available.
If this planning version is not available, this means that the LiveCache has not been initialized. Proceed with the LiveCache initialization before you start with the installation of any SAP Best Practices scenario.
     Check that PSE services have been activated
Use transaction strust in your SCM system. All services should have a green light. If it is red, activate all of them. There is no need to reboot the system afterwards.
OPTIMIZER
1.     Checking that the Optimizer has been installed
Transaction SM59  RFC Destination  OPTSERVER_CTM01  Test Connection
If the connection cannot be established, this may be due to the following reasons:
     the Optimizer has not been installed
     an error occurred during the installation of the Optimizer
2.     Checking that the Optimizer SPs have been installed
Open transaction /SAPAPO/OPT09. The Optimizer Support Packages should be identical to the Support Packages of the SCM system.
     Ensuring that the APO relevant PI Settings are activated in SAP ECC
You have to make sure that the business transaction events are active in the SAP ECC system. Only if these events are active for the SAP APO integration, will changes to the transaction data be transferred from the SAP ECC system to the SAP APO system. This setting should have already been performed; this is just a reminder in order to avoid possible problems later on. Use the following procedure:
In your SAP ECC system, open the transaction BF11.
Confirm the message The table is cross client.
On the Change View: Application Indicator: Overview screen, check that the applications ND-APO, PI-EM and NDI are active, i.e. selected. If they are inactive, select the check box to activate them.
Choose Save and go back.
Web Communication Layer (WCL)
Ensure that the WCL is installed correctly: Usually the WCL should be connected to the client 001 of the SCM system. Use transaction /saptrx/wcl_search in the SCM system to open the WCL. If a logon pop-up appears, then the WCL is set up correctly. If the message WCL is not installed... appears, the respective set up settings should be checked and corrected, if necessary.

SCM and CRM Multiple Clients in one system

Dear all,
I want to ask a question regarding Multiple clients in SCM 5 - IDES and CRM 5 -IDES.
I installed the system and plan to have multiple clients in a system with copying client 800 (IDES) to others.
I heard opinion that it can't possibly be done because if during the exercise the Administrator Workbench is executed it will search to the source client (800) and probably affect the exercise.
Would you mind giving me more suggestion about this?

Hi Fausto,
Could you be more specific about what you need to achive?
You can always creat a new client, logon to the client and do a client copy with TCod SCCL.
If you logon to other IDES clients then You'ld overwrite the content of the client which have been pre-configured.
Check the status of the client you need to overwrite from TCod scc4.
Also to verfiy the status of the target client for TCod se06 -system change option.

Installing NW CE7.1 and EP 7.0 on one machine

Hello All,
i have a question i am trying to install NW CE 7.1 and NW EP 7.0 on one windows 2003 ser machine but both are with different DBs EP with MSSQL 2005 server and CE with SAPDB. EP is based upon JDK 1.4 while NW CE 7.1 is based upon JDK 1.5. I didnt installed JDK 1.5 seperatley but i think its allready included in the package of nW CE 7.1. So installed for NW CE finished successfully (i had EP allready installed).
i am facing few probelms
1. I am not able to start diagonosis agent successfully it stays in yellow color forever. please find the snapshot of trace file at end of message.
2. I dont know the default port which will be used to access NW CE as my EP is allready installed on the
default port 50000. Can i know the default port used to access NW CE i allready tried 50001, 50002 and 50003. My EP is still working fine on 50000 port. Or does CE functionality going to be included into existing port 50000.
3. Is it even possible to install CE 7.1 and EP 7.0 on one system with different back-ends?
4. Do i need to install JDK 1.5 before starting CE 7.1 installation or its allready included?
any help will be highly appreciated.

i am able to start it, so question 2,3 and 4 vanishes
For question 2 is the port number builds as 5instance number00 e.g if Java EE server instance is 02 then port assigned is 50200. i think its possible to install both and JDK 1.5 is allready included in the SAP CDs.
but i am still not able to start Solution Manager Diagonostic Agent my first question.

Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.

That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

I get an error message saying that firefox is running and you can only run one at a time. I have uninstalled multiple times and can't figure out what is running. The is only one Firefox installed and it is not open. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then try to disable Virtualization.
