Minor (but annoying) issues

Pause feature - When leaving a show paused for 20 minutes (way too soon in my opinion) it will stop pausing and jump ahead TO REAL TIME (boy this annoying when pausing the hockey game to put the kids to bed and being surprised at the new score!) Is there a way to stop this or adjust the amount of time it will keep the pause?
Skip feature - with DirecTV I was able to skip a series of 30 second intervals. So, for example I could hit the skip button 6 times and it would skip ahead 3 minutes. With FiOs, I not only can I not do this, I can't even hit the skip buttong right away after it skips, I have to skip, wait a couple of seconds, skip again, and repeat. If I hit the skip button immediately agan it won't skip.
When I press the power button it turns both my TV and STB off or on. Problem is, my kids will play Wii and turn the TV off manually, leaving the STB on and the TV off, so when i hit power I turn one off and the other on. Is there a way to make it not turn both on/off wat the same time?

[LR 4.1 - Library] Minor but annoying bug with mouse cursor

Hi,
There is a minor but irritating bug with the mouse cursor in the Library module. Steps to reproduce:
1. Activate the Library module.
2. Move the mouse cursor into the image area. The mouse cursor looks like a magnifying glass.
3. Move the mouse cursor to the left, until it reaches the right border of the left panel. The cursor becomes a double arrow indicating that you can modify the left panel width.
4. Do not click and continue moving the cursor to the left : most of the time (but not always) the mouse cursor is not reset to a standard cursor when entering the left panel area. It is still displayed as a double arrow.
5. Sometimes this also occurs when moving the mouse cursor directly from the image area to the left panel.
This can also happen under other circumstances. However, this doesn't happen with the right panel or when using another module. Also, at some time during the session, the problem disappears... until the next session or until you return from another module.

I agree, although it sounds trivial, it is very irratating - especially when doing a lot of keywording.
You could add your vote to a previously raised bug report on this ...

A minor but annoying problem about the downloads tab

Hi All
Today I download some podcasts in the library, after downloaded 5 podcasts, I paused the rest closed iTune, and went back home.
I opened iTune again in my room, and found that the downloads tab did not appear nor resume downloading as before.
I started a new download, downloads tab came back but the previous paused downloads disappeared.
And every time the downloads stoped because of timeout (my poor network), the downloads tab also disappeared.
As I never had this problem before, and today is the first time I download after I update to 7.4.3.1, is this a bug?

What does this have to do with the Matrox device?
It sounds like ...
1. a time code break and FCP is creating a second clip to carry on
or
2. your capture scratch drive is set as MS-DOS and the captured segments are larger than the default file limit.
or
3. something else.

Minor but annoying ipod problem

Hi,
In order to tidy up my "albums" folder I want to remove all album entries that contain only 1 or 2 songs so that the "albums" folder contains only ALBUMS!!
I know why the IPOD does this, the tags of single mp3s I transfer over to my ipod to put in playlists contains information about which album it belongs to, hence they appear in "albums".
I know this is a bit of a longshot but I want to know if there is anyway I can tell my IPOD :"if an album contains less than 2 songs then remove it from the the albums folder (only)"
PS Deleting the album tag for singles is not an option I will consider.

How about a workaround? Any tracks that you don't want showing up, add a keyword to either their "grouping" or "comments" information. Then you can make a smart playlist to filter out that keyword, and browse using that.
I know it's not perfect, but maybe it'll help?

IPhone 5 camera has some minor, yet annoying issues. Help!

Well, to get to the point my back camera has spots on it.. Whenever I try to take a picture there is a violet, purple, dash on it followed by some gray, shadowy circles. I tried to clean the lens and I blew on it a couple of times but it just doesn't seem to work. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm still under warranty so could they fix or replace this?

I bought it from Amazon from someone who previously owned it and it came with a few light scratches, nothing major. I'm not sure if the previous owners caused this to happen because since I had it I have taken great care of it and just recently I found the spots on the lens. Is there still a possibility they can fix it? Thanks for your help! (:

LP 8.0.2: Some minor (but annoying) problems from upgrade to 10.6.2

First issue: After a working session on a song I make the "command-q" to exit and... often Logic doesn't quit. It tells me: "Logic doesn't answer" (I have to make a forced exit).
Second issue (directly related to Digi002) Loading a song, Outputs 7-8 of ADAT lightpipe path don't work. I have to delete from the environment the "7-8 Stereo Output" track, create an other new one, and then all work...
Any other encounters these issues?

I wonder why, changing it on template song, it works also on other songs...

Upgraded broadband speed but annoying issue

Since having my broadband speed doubled, everytime i get disconnected it never reconnects at the right speed , usually is around 2000kbs down and 600kbs odd up when it should be around 16100kbs down and 1100kbs up, previously when on an 8mb connection it allways reconnected at the correct speed, keep having to reset router numerous times before it reconnects at the correct speed.

Minor but urgent problem - for advise pls.

Dear forum friends.
I have accidentally pressed some combination of buttons on my Mac Air and now the entire font of the keyboard has been changed to some strange symbols.
I cannot type any alphabets or numbers anymore. I rebooted I rebooted it but now I cannot even enter the password.
Please advise the basic keyboard combination button to change font styles.
This is a minor but urgent issue for me.

Holding down the shift key while restarting takes me to the login screen. However since the keyboard is altered, out does not enter the desired characters for the password.
Restarting without holding the shift key takes me to two options, Macintosh HD and Recovery HD.
Macintosh Hd takes me to the same login screen as above.
Recovery Hd takes me to below for options :

Reinstall Mac Os
Online help
Disk Utility (repair or erase)
Reinstall Mac os is not working. It says it cannot continue and to contact Apple Care. Why is that? Because I am out of warranty period? I connected to wifi.
The disk utility option shows four items.
121 GB Apple ssd
Macintosh Hd
disk 1
Mac os base system.
Options include erase, restore, etc and to copy which image to which disk.
Please advise.

A hardware fault is possible but from what you describe there is no reason to suspect that yet.

Reporting annoying issues for the entire Microsoft website (MSDN, forums, all)

Is there any place where I can report bugs with how the Microsoft web sites behave? I can only find forums and "Microsoft Answers" categories about single products that Microsoft makes, but nothing about the infrastructure itself.
For about two weeks now, I am required to log into my account every few hours whenever I access any Microsoft website. This includes MSDN help content, forums, or other resources. I need to login after opening the website through F1 help in Visual Studio
as well as accessing a microsoft.com link from anywhere else like a web search or a direct link from web or an application.
Auto-complete does not work either. My browser (Firefox) does save the password, but it never fills it into the form. Other people have already noticed that
Microsoft applies some dirty tricks here. And even if the login is remembers for a moment, it's slow as hell. It takes a second or two to load the login.live.com page (which is not what I wanted to see), then it sits there for some more seconds before going
anywhere. Other login services like Google or StackOverflow manage to log me in all within one second and most of the time I don't even see it.
And then there's still that insecure SSL-to-non-SSL-submit warning that only occurs in other browsers then IE. Has anybody cared about that in the last couple years?! I'm not getting it now, probably because I'm not logged in anymore. It all slowly falls
apart, piece by piece. Next step is probably losing my data or not loading it at all.
THIS – IS – ANNOYING! And it really makes me feel like I don't want to use Microsoft products anymore (because even good desktop applications are connected to that silly website). I have opened a

That's normal. Most USB ports dont' put out enough power to meet the iPad's requirements. (It says 'not charging' even though there is a trickle charge...it will charge over USB, but it'll take hours and hours)
Your iPad is best charged with the supplied charger plugged into the wall.
