Minor Formatter Bug

Another formatter bug to add to the list. Thing are a little hectic to be submitting them for Official Review.
When using an aggregate function on an inline view containing set functions, indention becomes offset. It only seems to happen within a PLSQL block.
DECLARE
  CURSOR cur1
  IS
    SELECT COUNT( *) FROM
        (SELECT * FROM dual
  -- Indention OK here
  CURSOR cur2
  IS
    SELECT COUNT( *) FROM
        (SELECT * FROM dual
      UNION
      SELECT * FROM dual
    -- Indentation off here and Down
  BEGIN
    NULL;
  END;
  SELECT * FROM dual;
  SELECT COUNT( *) FROM
      (SELECT * FROM dual
      UNION
      SELECT * FROM dual
  SELECT * FROM dual;

And another one... at least I think they're bugs, not settings.
SET TIMING OFF
SET PAGES 66 UNDEF first_name UNDEF second_name UNDEF username
SELECT
username,
account_status,
created
FROM
dba_users
WHERE
username LIKE UPPER('%&&username%') /
In SQL*Plus the UNDEF syntax as formatted generates an error and the SQL statement does not execute because the / is moved to the end of the line.
TOAD could handle this stuff many years ago. Should this not be addressed. Not supporting Oracle-specific syntax - i.e. / for execute - seems a bit odd.

  • Minor display bug in JDev 11g "View Annotation" with Subversion

    Hi all,
    A very minor visual display issue with the "View Annotations" feature of JDev 11g when using a Subversion repository. To reproduce, simply follow these steps:
    1). Open up any source file and right-click in the editor; select Versioning -> View Annotation. The annotations will be shown, and if you right-click again, you will see a check-mark next to the "View Annotation" menu item.
    2). Open another source file. Annotations are not shown. Right-click in the editor; you will see that "View Annotation" menu item displays a check-mark (even though annotations are not shown). Select Versioning -> View Annotation. Annotations are now shown, but you will see the check-mark is no longer displayed.
    To summarize my analysis; it appears that "View Annotation" was intended to be a global setting (as indicated by the check-mark), but is actually implemented on a file-by-file basis. Obviously a very minor display bug not affecting functionality, but a bug nonetheless.

  • Minor Mouse bug in the FP 10.1.52.14 ?

    Hi,
    It seems that the release version of Flash Player 10.1.52.14 that comes with Flash Builder 4 has minor mouse bug on Mac OS X 10.6.3.
    Once the cursor changes to 'hand' on hovering, it does NOT return to default arrow on roll out.
    One a positive side, scrolling with the mouse wheel on Mac is finally working! Many thanks to FP team.

    I confirm this bug in FP 10.1.52.14 on OSX. It should be solved

  • Minor IDE bug: property inspector for f:validator tags

    Hi JDev team
    Very minor IDE bug in the JDev 11g tech preview release.
    If you open a web page with a f:validator tag, select the tag, look in the property inspector. In the selectors-groups (or categories) on the left hand side of the property inspector, the option "other" is showing, but there is also a selectable blank space above this that should be appropriate named.
    Regards,
    CM.

    Hi Liza, thanks for logging the bug.
    Regards the Property Inspector, well you asked...... ;)
    I can see why you've gone for the new look and feel, it does look better.
    One caveat though. On my 24 inch monitor, with the property inspector by JDev's pref on bottom of the screen, the fields are stretched all the way across the screen pointlessly wasting screen real-estate .... always a problem in JDev. So I move the property palette back to its more traditional spot on the right hand side of the screen.
    As a side window, it doesn't currently "squash" properly. I've uploaded an image for you to see what I mean. Poplists don't seem to shrink properly in some cases. And in some cases the same with fields. It also appears labels take preference in size to fields, to the detriment fields disappear.

    Anyway, just my $0.02 worth.
    Regards,
    CM.

  • 10 Minor LR3 UI suggestions and some minor UI bugs

    Minor UI Enhancements / Adjustments …
    Yes I have bigger issues than these but there is enough being said about those already, however I thought it may help to provide feedback on a bunch of more minor things…
    1.       Bug?  - A weird one here…
    The Thumbnail select behaviour is different in folders v’s Smart collections in publish.
    In the smart collection – Click a thumb to select it and then shift click another thumb as if to select a range of thumbs… this does not select a range but simply selects the new thumb.   Bizarrely repeat this again and it behaves as expected and repeat again and it behaves badly.   This behaviour alternates between working correctly and incorrectly each time tried.   This strangeness does not occur in a folder.
    2.       Enhancement Suggestion - In dimmed develop mode if the cursor is placed just below the histogram then light up the shooting info so can more easily be read OR when dimmed or lights out suggest the “I” key not only toggles the info display but also lights it up whilst the key is still pressed.
    3.       Enhancement Suggestion - In “Edit Smart Photo Set” I should not need to press Alt to get the option to have the “hidden” advanced nested selection logic made available.   This is far too powerful a feature to simply hide in this way when “real estate” for another button is not really a problem.   RTFM aside … Why make a secret of such power especially from new users?
    4.       Bug?  - When editing a text field (In Windows, I don’t know about Mac) in the meta data such as title, key combinations such as Ctrl Shift Left are correctly interpreted as select word left, but Ctrl Left should simply be interpreted as move cursor left within the edit field by a word… not change selected image which is quite irritating.   I.e. when editing a text field all the common edit key combinations should be correctly interpreted and implemented within the field edit, I do not expect any key combination to move thumb selection.
    5.       Enhancement Suggestion - Meta data filtering … please make all possible fields available.
    6.       Enhancement Suggestion - The “settings” sub-menu on right clicking a photo in develop mode is getting out of hand!   I love the variety and scope of the pre-sets, but surely make it hierarchical to a degree.  At least make B&W and Colour pre-sets further submenus.   It is not cool to have a menu which needs to be scrolled because it is actually larger height wise than my large HD screen!
    7.       Enhancement Suggestion – The develop controls “light up” as you put the cursor over them, I appreciate dimmed and lights out mode are globally dimming the entire set of panels including the controls… but it would be a nice touch to fully “light up” the controls on cursor over them even when dimmed or lights out.   This would allow easier adjustment with the mouse even in lights out mode.   Again, I appreciate that coding this is more than a simple global dim applied to all the panels.
    8.       Bug?  - In a Flickr published smart set which has all been published, if I edit the title field of a selected image and enter, the picture thumb is moved to “Modified Photo’s to republish” and is de-selected.   The next thumb is shown as selected, however despite this, the Loupe view and the Meta data panel still show the previous edited image which is no longer selected.   This surely is wrong?
    9.       Suggestion .. Remove the serial number displayed in the system info box and put it in a separate box which is not copied when the copy button is pressed.
    10.   Suggestion .. It should be possible to copy Smart Collection settings to create a new one from it.   Having to export the definition to an external file and re-import it is tedious especially when you use identical smart collections to publish to different destinations.    Even better would be to allow smart collections to inherit their settings from a master smart collection - this would add great power to this facility.
    Alan
    PS - Windows 7 64bit, Core i7, 8GB

    Another minor UI suggestion:
    During an adjustment of a B&W mix, let the "Alt" key temporarily display the image in colour again, so that one knows which colours to adjust for certain areas. It would also make it easier to use the TAT, i.e., have a way of knowing where to place it in area of similar B&W shades but different underlying colours,

  • Minor editor bug

    Hi,
    I noticed couple problems with JDev editor:
    1) editor only shows "Brace Mismatch" when cursor is positioned next to it. So when code you think that there is no errors but when you compile errors are reported.
    2) some times syntax error are not shown instantly but only when file is closed and opened again.
    I hope this would help JDev team.
    Thanks,
    Uros.

  • Minor GUI bug in iTunes?

    When displaying Movies in iTunes, if there's a name listed in the Artist field, that name also appears under the movie's artwork and title in the Artwork column. The TV Shows window doesn't work that way at all. Unless somebody can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'll post this as a bug in iTunes.
    Thanks for any assistance!

    See this -> Don’t Panic
    "Yesterday (09/09/09, by the way) Apple released iTunes 9. Unfortunately it has a nasty bug that prevents iVolume from analyzing songs that have been imported from a file. All other songs – that is purchased, ripped or converted songs – will still be processed fine by iVolume.
    We put highest priority on this issue. All other projects have been interrupted in order to restore full compatibility with iTunes 9 as soon as possible. We already found a solution and are currently busy implementing it. Things look good so far.
    So please be patient, a new version of iVolume will be released very soon"

  • 2.1 Final - Another Minor Formatter Indentation Issue

    Looks like when you're declaring functions in a package, that it indents them when it shoudln't be, and causes a shift in following lines.
    Example:
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PACKAGE pkg
    AS
    PROCEDURE p1;
    PROCEDURE p2;
      FUNCTION f1
        RETURN NUMBER;
      FUNCTION f2
        RETURN NUMBER;
      PROCEDURE p3;
      END pkg; Should be:
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PACKAGE pkg
    AS
    PROCEDURE p1;
    PROCEDURE p2;
    FUNCTION f1
      RETURN NUMBER;
    FUNCTION f2
      RETURN NUMBER;
    PROCEDURE p3;
    END pkg;

  • (Minor?) Bug:  ACR Preferences file does not match ACR version number

    This may be of no major consequence (I don't know one way or the other) but the preferences file for ACR 4.2 on my Mac shows up as "Adobe Camera Raw 4.1 Prefs", even after trashing it and letting ACR rebuild it.

    The question mark should have been after "Bug", I reckon. (As in "Bug?")
    The reason I brought it up was that it has caused confusion to at least one user over at the Bridge Macintosh forum.
    The Adobe Bridge team has been suggesting to purge the ACR cache as a means to alleviate a very significant bug in Bridge (it's showing the wrong thumbnail and preview in some instances, speciously calling up thumbnails and previews of totally unrelated images in very different folders).
    Therefore, that user (and I suspect others) tried nuking the ACR preferences file as well.

  • TP4[BUG] minor UI bug

    I'm using MAC OSX 10.5.4.
    I noticed "source" menu bar is added many times on main apple menu bar. I saw this behavior almost every day. Not sure how it happened. seems related to "copy/paste/reformat/organize import" (I unchecked "Adjust indention when pasting", not sure if related").
    When this happened, I got following exception:

    Actually, this is still a bug wouldn't you think? I installed iPhoto 7.0.1 on two machines and it did the same thing on both (One a 2.4 GHz MacBook Pro 15, the other a 20" iMac Intel Core Duo 2.16GHz)
    Even if there is a work-around, it would still stand that it is a bug if the install of iLife 08 blows away the setting for minimization for iPhoto...

  • Minor UI bug when using camera from lockscreen

    Hi
    I'm not soure where to send this, but I found a bug with the use of camera from the lockscreen.
    OS: Windows Phone 8
    OS version: 8.0.10211.204
    Phone: NOKIA Lumia 620
    Phone firmware: 1030.6407.1308.0006
    Description:
    If I have activated the camera with the camerabutton when the phone is locked, the background on the keypad is always dark next time I try to unlock the phone. My theme background is set to light. Only the keypad background is dark - if I use the volumebutton the "volume indicator" background is light.
    It only happens after I have activated the camera using the camerabutton when the phone is locked.
    My phone is protected with pincode.
    Can anyone reproduce the bug on their phone?
    Regards
    Brian Overby

    It's been my experience, throughout my 36 year career in computer engineering, that RAM tests almost always succeed even when the RAM has intermittent errors.
    Do you have ECC (error correcting) RAM?  A system set up to use ECC RAM and with ECC RAM installed will correct some errors as it runs, and will halt and immediately tell you when an uncorrectable RAM error has occurred - which is FAR better than trying to forge ahead with bad data (which will ultimately crash it somewhere).  RAM errors happen more often than you'd think, probably because it's the one piece of technology being pushed right to the blistering limits in most computers.  Even if the chance of a RAM error is one in a billion, keep in mind that literally billions of RAM reads and writes happen every second.
    Every future computer system I'll have will have ECC RAM, as do my current ones.

  • Tiny 2.1 EA1 SQL Formatter Bug?

    Not really a big deal and probably nobody cares about it, but once you use a query prefixed with a WITH clause, all subsequent queries are indented.
    Here's a quick formatted example. I was expecting query 3 to not be indented.
    -- QUERY 1
    SELECT * FROM dual;
    -- QUERY 2
    WITH src AS
          SELECT * FROM dual
      SELECT * FROM src;
      -- QUERY 3
      SELECT * FROM dual;

    On a similar note, how should i expect subprocedures/user defined types be indented inside a stored procedure? I would expect them to look something like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PROCEDURE p1
      TYPE my_type
      IS
        TABLE OF PLS_INTEGER;
      PROCEDURE subp1
      AS
        PROCEDURE subsubp1
        AS
        BEGIN
          NULL;
        END subsubp1;
      BEGIN
        NULL;
      END subp1;
    BEGIN
      NULL;
    END p1;But subprocedures and types don't seem to be indented.
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PROCEDURE p1 TYPE my_type

      TABLE OF PLS_INTEGER;
    PROCEDURE subp1

    BEGIN
      NULL;
    END subsubp1;
    BEGIN
      NULL;
    END subp1;
