Hi I have been reading most of these posts here waiting in anticepation on the release of the lolliop for the galaxy s4 since the rubbish update that was rolled out of Kit Kat. Sorry for my first post/reply here to be one of negativity but considering both o2 and Vodafone have now release this version of Android to the GS4 I think it to be very poor that EE has taken this long for them to release this update. What is frustrating me more is that I did not entend to update my phone to Kit Kat but the annoying nag screen kept coming up and althought I kept dismissing it, on one occasion, I was connected via WiFi to access the play store and as I went to choose this icon, the nag screen came up and guess what!! the install option was straight in line with the play store !. I really feel let down by EE at the moment as I moved off the last network hoping that EE would be better but it appears I was wrong. I cannot upgrade my phone because my upgrade period has not been reached either so I am stuck with a lump of plastic that was once a great phone on Jelly Bean and now a big lump of plastic with a shoddy battery life, slow to operate whether it is calling, texting or even just unlocking the phone!!!!!!. Please EE sort this upgrade out and please make sure it does not make the phone worse that the Kit Kat version Thank You TimCS

Why cant I install the latest update for galaxy note 2???

The latest update for the Verizon Note 2, which i guess is a Canada roaming update, can not install. keeps giving me an error message. Did everything, factory reset (which sucked), took out SIM, power down, etc. can i get rid of this alert?

Photoshop Touch update for Galaxy Note 10.1

Photoshop Touch came installed on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 at purchase. Is there a way to update this app as updates become available, or do I have to purchase the app from the Android market in order to recieve updates?

I had issues updating the app too. It's a little annoying to update the first time. Here's what I did:
1) Close your Photoshop Touch app.
2) Find the app that is called something like Samsung apps. It will run and then the app will disappear from your app list.
3) If it's already not there or once you complete step 2, find the app called GALAXY Apps and open it. This might require an update too.
4) Do a search for Photoshop. You'll get a bunch of options there. Be careful to not choose the app that you have to purchase. Find the photoshop app that requires an update. You may have to sign up for a Samsung account to update it.
That's it, you should be able to connect after that! Hope this helps.

Kit kat update for galaxy note 2

anyone know when or if the galaxy note 2 will get the kit kat update?

Change your screen unlock to swipe and see if it comes up. Might have to reboot. The icon works by touching it and then swiping across the screen.

Lollipop Android 5.0 Update For Galaxy S4 --- WHEN???

The Lollipop upgrade has been pushed to Samsung S5, Note 4, and Note 3.
I heard that it has been pushed to the S4 in India and Europe ... WHEN WILL THE VERIZON push the update to the S4 in the US???

Verizon doesn't announce proposed dates for updates to their phones. One day it will just be available to download. You have to hope that Lollipop for the S4 will go a lot better than it did for the S5. I for one will not jump to the chance to update my S4 until I see what is happening to those folks that do update right away.

N95 fw minor update

apparantly there is a minor update for the nokia n95 something called a minor data pack(????)update(MCU SW 10.0.18)
going on rumour i visited CPW today and told them i wanted an update for my phone they took it and told me to return for it the end of the day which i did checking the fw version still the same as original fw and no visible changes so im wondering what did it actually update?

1GB memory for minor update on my phone, I doubt.

The memory space of 7.1.1 seemed so huge that it has 1GB memory. Am I the only one who have this problem? I doubt 1GB is too much for a minor update. please help me

If you Update iOS, either via OTA or with Cable, some 'other' is increased.
It is therefore, suggested to backup in iTunes, Restore to newest iOS, setup as new.
Then use iTunes tabs to put back personal data on the iPhone.
Or Restore with saved backup.

Why is Apple charging for a minor update to FaceTime?

I noticed, through an article in MacNN, that there is an update to FaceTime avaiable - but the update seems to only be available through the AppleStore and Apple wants $0.99 for what they term as a minor update of benefit to SNow Leopard users. Bug fixes should be free.

Get used to it! Seriously, if you don't want to you don't have to pay for it, and right now you don't need to. The touch is not the iPhone. This seemingly obvious observation appears to have been missed by some. You must have access to the internet via Wi Fi (either at home or at a hotspot). So all those pretty icons of maps, weather, stocks are dead in the water unless you are connected (unlike the iPhone people who are always connected). If you really want a screen full of icons just set up an iTapPad page (see webapps) and then you can have up to 10 pages of icons chock full of webapps that you can access for free once connected to the internet, including maps, weather, and a Notes look-alike.
Resident apps, those that sit on your touch and don't require a Wi Fi connection to function, will come from developers and some will possibly be free, but expect to pay for most. They will probably be downloaded through iTunes, and Apple will probably want a slice of the pie (pun intended) for the service.

Microsoft has all ready released an update to Windows Phone 8.1. Us Verizon customers don't even have WP 8.1. *** Verizon? My contract with Verizon is up in November this is the tipping point. I am not going to renew my contract. I will just buy the phone out right and sign up for Straight Talk. Then I don't need to have the "Nanny service provider (Verizon)" telling me when I am able to obtain a device update. Thanks for nothing Verizon.

On one side, I can understand that maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) Verizon wants to make sure they have enough data (pardon the pun) regarding the successful adaptation of the update for it's customers in order to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, I find that Verizon likes to keep customers in the dark regarding time frames. It's interesting to see on some of the similar titles message boards entries on this topic have Verizon monitors ready to wipe out entries if they violate terms of service on the forums. But, when asked directly about time frames for Windows updates, you either get a link to some Verizon news page (which is of no help), or nothing at all. A number of people called Verizon customer service and get varied answers like: "Sometime this summer", "Soon", or even an "I don't know, they don't even tell us either"...which is the answer I got one time. Very discouraging. I had a choice between the Windows Phone, or a Samsung Galaxy phone. I chose Windows because of it's features. Beginning to regret it now, since support for it on Verizon appears to be dismal at best.

Two Accounts. No updates for 90 days. How to Phase out one account?

I now live in Australia. I have always had an iPhone. And when I moved, I had to create an Australian account to get access to my ANZ banking app here. Now I have two accounts that I have purchased apps under. These two accounts coexsisted with minor anoyances for the two years I lived here with my 3GS. But I upgraded to a 4S and started the iCloud experience. It still went fine until I turned on;

Now I can't upgrade any apps purchased with my American account. No worries I said. I'll just buy them again with my Australian account and phase out my American account. I'm here for good. Nope. Tried to re-buy after logging in to my Australian account and it forces me to sign in to the account that I purchased it with. What is the fix for phasing an old account out and purchasing just with my one Australian account. Cause I need to update some of these apps to get full iOS 5 compatablilty on some of my American purchased apps. And it says I can't do that now for 90 days.Make sense? Couln't be as easy as merging two accounts. Could it?

OK, You are right you can't merge. What I have to do is unauthorise my American account on my Macbook Pro in iTunes and repurchase the American apps (that are in Oz) on my Australian account. The part that I couldnt figure out was the authorisation. It would not let me re-purchase an app with my Australian account as it was telling me I already had it in my US account. It will mean some repurchasing but I will eventually get it whittled down to one account and then everything will run smoother.

Lollipop update for note 3

Hi i bot an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from the U. S. A. I unlocked is here in Bangladesh locally. Bt i cant use NFC neither i can use my phone as Hotspot. even this posters carrier cant do anything as the software is locked to ATT period. The hotspot is trying to check with ATT's server to see if they have the subscription for mobile hotspot.

Android update for note3

When will there be an update for the Samsung Note 3? The last update was May but ALL the bloat ware has been updated multiple times since then, Mu Microsoft has had multiple updates as well should I look for a windows phone instead???

Look toward the bottom of this page: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/10/25/galaxy-s3-galaxy-note-2-android-4-3-update-breakdown/ it shows the SIII. This is not a VZW schedule so expect 4.3 some time about those dates. The S4 update to 4.3 was on the date that was on that schedule which shocked me. Remember though along with new updates to old phones and the SIII is an old phone today no matter how new it is to you comes problems/issues to some of them. I was luck with my S4 which is now old as well even though I did not purchase it until the 32gb model. This was well after VZW started selling the S4 - 16gb. I did have issues with my S4 and if you look through comments in the S4 forum and check other S4 forums you will see. When I owned the SIII and it was updated from 4.0.4 ICS to JB many owners could not even use their phone as a phone because of the update and it was more than 2 weeks passed before VZW released an OTA fix to that issue. I usually now don't let my phone update until after the update has been our for a few days and check the forums to see if there are issues others experience before I update my phone. YMMV Good Luck with your update to 4.3. It is in Samsungs/VZW interest to get 4.3 and 4.4 on as many phones as they can so they can so they can sell other gear with requires 4.3/4.4 to work with our phones.
