Minus (-) volume button not working!!!

I updated my iPhone 5 to 6.1.4 and suddenly the (-) volume button is not working!!! Is it a problem with the new update? What can I do?
Anybody else has the same problem?

Go to settings, general, accessibility, assistive touch (turn on). A small box will apppear with a white circle on your home screen. Click "Device" and You'll be able to control the volume using the touch screen. You can drag it and movd it around your screen. You can also go back to settings and turn it off after you adjust the volume if you dont want it there anymore.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Iphone 4 volume buttons not working

iphone 4 volume and mute buttons not working, checked all settings they are all fine and when headphones in it works??? When I take out headphones the volum buttons do not work, when phone rings or text receives only vibrates???? HELP!!!!

This could be due to some debris or dirt inside the headphones jack that makes the iPhone think that the headphones are connected even when they are not.
Try to see if you can clean the jack being very careful, with canned air as sold in electronics store. Some people have been successful by introducing and withdrawing the headphones jack several times in a row to displace whatever is in there if it is lodged in.
Avoid introducing anything else like a pointed object. You could damage the jack.
If all of this does not work, I would try first resetting the phone by holding the home button and the power button together for about 15 seconds or until the whilte apple appears, then waiting until the phone resets. If the problem continues after this, take it to an Apple Store to see what they believe should be done.

Volume button not working

i have recently purchased a nokia lumia 620 and since yesterday suddenly the volume button to increase the volume is not working
what can be done here ?

Is it the same if you try without the Back cover ? If it works fine without it then put the cover back properly and check again..
Else, you may try a soft reset : Press Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds).

TS3694 volume button not working

I updated to 6.0.1 a couple of weeks ago. Immediately I noticed my phone would not pick up my wifi signal at home. It would start searching for a signal and I would have to continually manually selecting my signal every time I return home. Even after doing this it very very slow on downloading anything. Additionally, about 4 days ago my volume button stopped working. My phone will ring when a call comes through but I cannot hear videos or music and my alarm app cannot be used. I tried backing up, syncing and finally restoring it but nothing seemed to work. Help!:(

I also want to add that I am able to adjust the volume while on a call. And if I am on a call and log onto YouTube during the call then I can hear the YouTube video. Weird. Same with music too, if I am on a call I am able to go to my ipod and turn on the music and hear it but once the call ends the sound goes off. Not that I'm trying to listen to music and watch videos when I talk on the phone but just noticed this phenomenon....:/

Volume button not working to snap photos

Upgraded to iOS 5. The volume button was working at first, however I just noticed that it does not work at all now. Only the original button on the screen works. Not a huge deal, but I liked the feature.
I have power cycled still not resolved.... Any suggestions?

No. Not for the iPhone or iPad.
2. If there is not direct Apple Stores in the country, how do you repair it?
You don't in India. You could give it to someone who is planning to go the US and they could take it to an Apple Store. You could also ship it (at your expense and risk) to a friend in the US and they could take it to an Apple Store. You cannot ship directly to Apple as they do not accept international shipments.
Someone please let me know how i can fix it or how to contact Apple US to see if something can be done?
There is no other "fix". Contacting Apple is pointless and a waste of time. They will tell you the same thing. If you still want to contact them, click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page.
Next time, buy the phone in the country you intend to use it in.

Volume button not working after update ios..

My iphone 4s volume down button not working after i upgrade to ios 6.0...and then i update to ios 6.0.1 its still not working...plz help...what happen...???

Settings > Sounds > Change with Buttons... Make sure this is set to ON.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If none of the above resolves the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation or possible replacement.

I have a OSX v10.5.8 and just got a new wireless keyboard but can't get the volume buttons to work, tried some updates and this is not working either...what am I doing wrong, its driving me mad

all depends on the particular keyboard, my one has to use the function ( fn) and volume up or down keys together

Backup your data and do a factory reset. If that doesn't help then bring it to the service center. X2 has been updated to Lollipop for quite some time. Have not come across any volume issue after Lollipop update.

Take it to the Genius Bar while you are still under warranty and they should be able to fix it. I went, one day after my warranty expired. While they confirmed the problem in my iPhone 5, they said it would be $269 to fix. The tech did helpfully show me how there's a much less convenient softkey workaround using General >Accessibility > AssistiveTouch. Not happy about it.

Just got an Ipod Touch(4th Generation) for Christmas. It seemed to have been working fine, Untill the sleep button and the volume buttons stopped working. They came back on after and hour or so, And several times in the past few days this has happened. Yesterday though, They cut off again and haven't worked at all since. Sounds like a short; however, you can try restoring and updating from within iTunes.

Hi all, Im using X301. Previously it was shipped with the Vista Business. I was entitled for free upgrade to Win7 since the thinkpad was bought after 25th of June 09. The problem started after I successfully upgraded my Vista to Win7 Pro. My Mute/Unmute button was consistently in amber colour (signal for disabled). the volume button also is not working anymore. On the system side, everything was fine. the drivers is working properly.. the windows also is showing the volume is in a good shape. Unfortunately the button on the thinkpad is always on the disabled mode. Ive been searching for a related drivers that i could download and solve the issue. but till now all the softwares and drivers downloaded from lenovo could not solve my problem. any suggestion or comment is highly appreciated. thanks a million
