Mirgration documents from RM to Archivelink Repository

I need to migrate documents from a repository (OAC0) with SRM document area to another repository with ArchiveLink document area with http connection to a Document Access server.
Is it posible with a report?
For example, such as in the case of Archivelink repositories (Note 1043676)

How do you retrieve Many documents from an external content repository

We are using P8 to store our AP Imaging documents (invoices). The conenction for this is set up through all the standard document management configuration using OAC0, OAC3, etc.
I wrote an ALV program that allows the users to search SAP and it will give them the unique GuiID that is passed between SAP and P8. This works great for retrieving document data, and then in the ALV layout I have a hot spot on the document number so it will launch SAP function module: ARCHIV_GET_CONNECTIONS and display the invoice using standard functionality.
The client has recently recieved a request to pull over 2500 invoices and save them in a folder for review. I tested BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEW2 and it either doesn't allow me to connect to the P8 system, or I'm filling out the document type and document nuber different from what SAP expects.
Question:
Has anyone recieved a similar request to extract multiple documents from a content repository and what did you use to accomplish this?

Migration of SAP DMS documents from RFC Archive to SAP HTTP Content Server

Can anyone verify the correct OSS for the migration of documents from an RFC Archive repository (non SAP) in SAP DMS to a SAP Content Server HTTP Repository. Most of the OSS notes seem to indicate HTTP to HTTP migrations or based storage category migrations.
Which is the most suitable for this?

If you want to move the originals from an archive or vault to a Content
Server, please use the DMS_KPRO_CONVERT and DMS_KPRO_CONVERT2 report I
would kindly ask you to see teh documentation on DMS_KPRO_CONVERT report
in transaction SE38, which explains the whole process and gives
necessary information.
This conversion program offers two possibilites:
- Complete migration:
The meta data of the document info record and the checked-in original
application files are migrated together. The checked-in original
application files are transported into the storage catgories.
- Step-by-step migration:
In the first step meta data is migrated. The original application files
remain in the old storage data. The migration of original application
files starts after you have processed the files with the integrated
viewer and checked them into a secure storage area.

I have a requirement to create a program which will extract the pdf SD billing document from archivelink content Repository and will save pdf files on application servers's directory.
We have business Object, Content Repository ID, Document type know for this.

use FM : ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_TABLE to get the content in bin format..
then use open dataset, transfer dataset, close dataset to store that in OS level.. task done..
you can even use GUI_DOWNLOAD if you want to download it to presentation server.

Assuming that this is a valid requirement and that with document you mean FORM, I would check out include MSSCFF00 and then specifically the form delete_form. This shows the functions called when you manually delete the form via SE71 (i.e. DELETE_FORM).

I am facing an issue in WAD 7.0 regarding opening document from MIME repository..
My requirement
I want to have a button , on clicking of this button one excel file ( already located at MIME Repository) should open in a new window.
To achieve the same, I have added one button. and also added one java script web item in my web template.
And as per my understanding, I need to write command/code in the script web item.
I have tried with several standard commands available, but not yet succeeded.
Please suggest the appropriate command or code , that I can put into the java script web item.
Also please provide me, if there is any other solution.

Hey Vishal,
one approach could be
1) fetch all the documnets and metadata (wat ever you need) from the Lotus Notes repository using java+Lotus API 2) write a BatchLoad script file using the metadata you have. And then start the batch loader.
other approach could be to
1) fetch all the documnets and metadata (wat ever you need) from the Lotus Notes repository using java+Lotus API
2) Checkthem in using the WSDLs.
There is one thing thought that even i would like to know its which of the two will perform better ?

Export ArchiveLink document from Transaktion 'FB03'

Hello,
i want to download an ArchiveLink Document from TA 'FB03' on my local drive. If I press the Button 'Export' in the attachment list, I get the error message 'The function in not supported for document '.
What´s the problem? Is there another way to save an ArchiveLink Document (TIF- Document displayed with ECL- Viewer) on my local drive or still better send as an e-mail.

Hi Yasar,
as far as i know, this is not possible. The background may be that you give your Business Document types names. And related to this types you connect the physical storage and authoratzations. If it would show you the file name of the uploaded document it would be hard to find out what type of document this is. And remember if your users would have the possibility to change the name the outcome could be that there are a various types of names for the same document type, could be confusing.
You may have a chance not using business documents. May you can give names as you like by attaching so called 'pc attachments' (?). But thats not that comfortable like business document where you have better control with authorizations and repositories.

Yes I tried it at first with Script Item but it did not work. I am not sure how should I change the path because of the portal:
"/sap/bw/Mime/Customer/.../file.htm" - this path is not working anymore
Another option that you mentioned I do not want to use. I have about 20 different html files in MIME repository so I would have to create 20 different web application. I do not like this solution.

Configuring the file server in KM and access,edit the documents from it

Hi friends,
My requirement is to configure the file server where u will have all the structured and unstructured data stored here. So users can share the documents and create, edit ,save the documents from the file server itself.
In KM what kind of file servers are there apart from the one it supports by default.
Can anybody pls provide the configuration steps regarding how to configure the file server i KM.
To configure the file server is webDAV protocol required?

Dear Sireesha,
Well KM supports mostly all the File server however we have some restrictions with Novell FS and Sharepoint Server from Microsoft. Like versions and other meta data have some issues.
Alsothough to configure a File Server you need to first create a FS repository Manager. Details can be found in the help guide:

Yes WebDAV protocol is required here.
You can create WebDav RM as well.

How to get documents from SAP KM in java

                I want to get the SAP KM data to a simple java class......I am able to get this with servlet but i want not a servlet but a simple java class that can get the Documents stored in SAP KM repository..................
I am thinking of using any java Driver in some code like

I am not sure why you need a JDBC driver for doing that.. You can get it using the following itself. If you have a DB only repository, the underlying API of KM will make the DB connection for you and get the content.
Here is what you should be doing
         IUser serviceUser = WPUMFactory.getServiceUserFactory().getServiceUser("cmadmin_service");
         ResourceContext ctx = new ResourceContext(serviceUser );
         RID resRid = RID.getRID("<yourfilepath>");

Upload / Open a Word Document from BDS with WebDynpro

we use the BDS (Business Document Server) to storage our word files. Now we use WebDynpro with the UI OfficeControl.
Could any one tell me, how to open/upload my documents from BDS with the OfficeControl.
The UI FileUpload does not work, because it is not allowed to use specify URLs. link:[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b3/be7941601b1d09e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
For example that is the URL from the BDS: "SAPR3://SAPR3CMS/get/100/BDS_5FDB2_5FR/7B3AAF5B22AAD21197ED0060B0672A3C/Forminterface.doc"
I use the class "CL_BDS_DOCUMENT_SET" with the method "get_with_url". result is above.
Each example with the OfficeControl from SAP (Package SIOS) use the Mime Repository:
mime_repository = cl_mime_repository_api=>get_api( ).
CALL METHOD mime_repository->get
    EXPORTING
      i_url     = url
    IMPORTING
      e_content = content.
wd_context->set_attribute( name = 'DATAS' value = content ).

When I compile everything is ok. But when I run my application, it nothing happen. No word file is opening or no error message. I create a ALC trace (SAPNOTE 949770).
Each time when I try to open my word file comes a popup-window from the alc-trace:

Problem opening Office documents from KM

Hello, I have some problem opening Office documents from KM.
We stored a lot of office documents (Excel, Word ecc.) in a File System repository (the standard repository "/documents"), when I open one of these files, before to view the document, a little logon window appears, it asks portal user's credentials.
If the user presses the "Cancel" button the logon window will be closed and the document showed, but on the next attempt to open an office file the system will asks again the user information .
If the user gives the right information the documents will be showed and the logon window does not appear again..
How con I avoid the logon request for each Office document in my repository?
Any suggestion??

Recover deleted document from Oracle content server

Hi All,
I've deleted some of documents from oracle content server mistakenly. I am using oracle ucm11g.
I found that we have a feature called "Trash bin". Trash-bin used for recover the deleted document/folder but unluckily settings for "Trash Bin" is disabled in my UCM folder configuration.
Is there any other way to recover?
Please kindly help me on this. It's an urgent production issue, please.

If you still can see your items there, you could recover the status.
If not, I'm afraid your documents are gone from UCM. In that case, you might recover them from a back-up. There is also a chance that documents are still present in the Vault directory, so rather than 'recover', you might 're-submit' them.

As I see there was no response on these issue although it is marked as answered. I'll give a hint for the ones that might want to try this.
One could extract the metadata and documents from the tables names to be found in the tables SDOKLOTAB and SDOKPHTAB (as an example, for InfoObject documentation we have the tables BDSLOIO8, BDSLOIOT8, BDSLOPR8, BDSPHIO8 and BDSPHF8) or one could export the metadata from the BI repository (though, this is a manual approach).
