MIRO - display field ID and text

Hello all - I know this is simple. I just cannot remember where it is.
When I am in MIRO, I see the tax code and tax description. For the plant, all I see is the plant code. Where/how can I set it to see both the plant code and the plant description? And not just the plant, any field. If I want to change this layout, where is it?

Thank you. I did check OB41.   I don't want to change the field status (required, suppressed, etc).
It is purely the display in MIRO.
When I am in MIRO and I look at the Plant column I see US00 - the plant code.    The person next to me sees United States Plant (description).
The same is true for tax code.    I see:   I0 Non taxable (code and description).   The person next to me only sees I0.
This certainly must be in user settings or personal layout.   I just can't find it.

Reg: problem in displaying as key and text

I have a problem while displaying values for 0profit_ctr.
In Development box report working fine. In production it giving problem.
ISSUE:
I want to display the 0Profit_ctr as key and text format. In development box it showing correct. I cross verified the properties of 0proft_ctr charcaterstic in report of development and production box. In both it is defined as dispaly key and text.
Also cross verified the infoobject (0Profit_ctr) details, In both Business Explorer general settings defined as Display as Key and Text.
Everything is same in production and development box for this. Even though in production it showing as text and key. we need to display it as key and text.
any suggestion on this.

It could be that the infoObject has been disturbed, have you tried just re-activating the object in Production.

Problem in lsmw. step: display field mapping and conversion rule

hi,
The IDOC structure to be mapped is missing in step 5[lsmw using IDOC]. Hence target structures are missing in auto gnerated conversion program.
As a result the the step Convert Data step is failing.[Converted data cant be generated]
I am using standard BAPI charcteristics as my Basic Type.
Anyone having idea why the target structure is missing??..

The problem is solved....The field mapping was missing coz i didnt assign the target structure properly....

Display Key and Text in Variable Selection Box by Default in BEx

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to display both key and text in the variable selection box by default.
Currently, only the text is being displayed.
The 'wrench' can be used to change the display, but the client would like to see both key and text by default.
Is there a way I can accomplish this?

hi experts,
i have done the same settings in development and its working fine and we can see key/text bydefault in variable selection in Dev. and when i transport the cube into quality the settings are reflecting but in analyzer(QA) variable selection screen still its giving text(DEFAULT). could you please provide me the solutions to do it.

Report Title and Text Area issue when exported to pdf using Viewer

Hi there,
We are using OracleBI Discoverer Version 10.1.2.55.26
We have reports that displays Report title containing the following
- Report Title
- Runt Date and Time
- Page No
And text area which displays 'Last Page'
Following properties are set at the worksheet level using page setup
Report Title --> 'Print on every Page'
Text Area --> 'Print on last page'
The report when exported to PDF using Discoverer plus works fine and displays report title and text area as defeined.
But when we try to export the same report to pdf from Discoverer viewer, it displays
- Report title on first page only.
- text area on all pages
All our users accesses report using discoverer viewer so we cannot open discoverer plus to them.
Is there a solution which will enable us to export the report in pdf using discoverer viewer and displays the same output as discoverer plus.
Please let me know... If you have any questions then please feel free to ask.

Well, if typographic objects are colour managed, the colour appearance is dependent on the source ICC profile that describes the colourants in the typographic objects and the destination ICC profile that describes the colours the display is able to form and the RBC colourant combinations that will form those colours.
In general, typographic objects should have special treatment, since the expectation is not that typographic objects should be colour managed, but that typographic objects should simple be set to the maximum density of dark. On a display, that is R=0 G=0 B=0 and on a seperations device (a lithographic press) that is C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100.
If for some reason typographic objects are colour managed, and if the ICC profiles for the displays are off by half a mile or more in relation to the actual state of the display system, then the colours will not be the same. On the other hand, if those displays are calibrated and characterized, then the colourants will be converted to form the same colours on the displays.

Hi jenish kumar ,
if i under stan your requirement correctly, need to have both text and key values for variables with F4 help.
you need to chnage the properties of that infoobject at infoobjects level or at infoprovider level,
this is at infoprovider level
in RSA1-> go to change mode of infoprovider (Multiprovider/ cube) on which Query is build) then Expand Charecteristc Dimension -> select infoobject -> right -> select provider-specific properties -> select Display '0 Key and Text' . Activate infoprovider and Run Query and check the Selection screen.

Selection Variable - List Key and Text filtered by master data attribute.

Hi Gang,
Is there a way to create a selection variable on a master data InfoObject, so that only a subset set of values (Key and Text) is presented to users, based on an attribute of that InfoObject?
For example, can we create a selction variable for raw materials so the we display 0MATERIAL key and text for selection, where material type = ROH ?
Our users don't want to wade through all values for all materials.

Hi,
yes you can do it, you need to set type as navigational attribute in you infocube, and you will get type as characteristic in designer so you can modify it as requirement.

JLabel Icon and Text

Hi,
I am creating a JLabel and setting an ICon with setIcon method. The label has a square border and a text. The Icon covers the the label with "X" form corner to corner on the square border. I can't see the text after setting the Icon. I tried to set the text after Icon, still it is hidden.
So what should I do to display the Icon and Text at the same time and want the text to be visible.

Where could I create a "Displayed fields subprofiles" for CM07?

Hi,
I need to create new profiles for CM07 in order to adapt the detailed cap. list layout to specific users requirements; in fact every category of users needs its own combination of fields.
I think that I'd create specific "Displayed fields subprofile" and select it in OPDT, but I can't find the customizing point where I could create this subprofiles. I attach an image to show what I mean better.

I have created a dialog program in which created a container(text box) to enter data upto 1000 characters.
Iam capturing the data and storing it in a custom table. In PBO I want to fetch data from my custom table (if data is already present :1000 characters data) and display it on screen.

MODULE SELECT_DATA.
In PBO, Under SELECT_DATA write Select query like:
(considering the DB field to be text and Screen Field to be SC_TEXT)
select text from <DB Table> into SC_TEXT where <condition>.
*note if u r selecting more than one field than write fields in ( ),eg. (f1....f2) )

Hi Chinna,
Within short and long texts, you can use placeholders, which can be replaced with the content of data objects using the MESSAGE statement. A maximum of four character-type placeholders are permitted; they are indicated by #&i# in short texts, and by #&Vi&# in long texts, where i = [1, 4]. If #&# itself is to be displayed as part of the text, it must be specified as #&&# in short texts and as "&" in long texts.
To add some detail on how to create variables in Long text, you have to go to 'commands' and in symbol option provide the variables like
&V1& &V2& and so on.

Difficulty displaying numeric info in text field

I'm trying to display the playheadTime of an FLV movie
(called vid_player) on the stage in a test field (called
myTextField). I used to be able to do this in older actionscript,
but with AS3, I'm having a heck of a time. Here's my code:

1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type Number to an

I don't think you've quite been able to do this in previous
versions! The error is telling you exactly what is wrong. You are
trying to change a TextField into a Number and that just won't
work.
I haven't done enough with AS3 to be sure off the top of my
head if it changed or not, but I think you want the text or the
htmlText property of the text field.
this.myTextField.text=currentTime;
or if it doesn't like that you may need to cast or convert
the currentTime to a string;
this.myTextField.text=String(currentTime);
this.myTextField.text=currentTime.toString();

"Key and Text" values in variable selection list for a field

Hi,
      we have created the variable for the one of the navigation attributes of the "0customer" field .
      for the customer field in BEX settings we are having "Text" as display.
      for the navigation field in BEX settings we are having "Key" as display.
      while running the reports in the variable selection list for some reports we having both KEY and text for selection and for others only text are displayed,
    we have checked the BEX settings in field and query level there are same.
Please help us here.

Check the setting again in the Query level and then maku sure you save it. Come out of the query and then re-open the query and execute, you can see the chages in the output.
