MIRO: Warning Meaasge

Experts,
While doing IR in MIRO , whenever User Click on Payment Tab , i want to generate a Warning / Information Message "Check BaseLine date" everytime.
Anything to be done from Configuration side ??
Needing all ur suggestions

Jack,
As per Kunal's suggestion u can check the config in OBB8..
or else if in your case, the requirement is independent of the config done in OBB8 and still u want to generate a custom message under payment Tab , then Take help of ur Abaper... BADI / UserExit may solve ur problem.
I believe generating a new Custom message is not possible from functional side

Hi,
This should have been in MM forum than SD. However, you can try this in one of the ways.
a. Try to create a validation in Tcode GGB0. You can write a piece of code. This code triggers while you are saving the document. You can create your message and make it a warning or a hard error. Please make sure that you generate the validation once you save it.
b. Find a user exit which will trigger in MIRO Tcode. Put a piece of code there which checks if MIRO vendor is different than PO vendor. If yes, it can give a warning. Else, it can go ahead and save the document.
c. May be you can try once more to check by changing the message in OBA5.

i have checked standard massage "M8 108 Check if invoice already entered under accounting doc. no."M8108 (if accounting documents are found).i have enter the message M8108 in table T100S using transaction
SM30 and then set it as an error via OMRM.then also not getting any massage or error.

In T.Code OMRM select the message number 504 Quantity invoiced greater than goods receipt quantity and keep error in Online field, Batchl and warning in Standard field. So that whenever you do MIRO system verifies that the invoiced quantity is not greater than MIGO quantity. This way posting MIRO twice can be avoided.

Secondly please go through OSS : 322430 & 1156325.
Also BADI for changing payment terms in MIRO "MRM_PAYMENT_TERMS ".

I have requirement, When i will go for IR in MIRO , when the User Click on Payment Tab , that time i want to display a Custom Warning / Information Message as "Check Base Line Date" for Alerting the Users... This Message should display only once when click on Payment Tab
How to do it ?? where & in which Program I have to add the Custom code for it or any Config is there ??

Regarding your query about MIRO transaction you can use the following 2 BADIs.
PPA_CUST_BADI
FAGL_PERIOD_CHECK
These 2 BADIS are called once user clicks on payment tab. So you can write your code here to get the information messege.

Warning message should be raised when user changes Business Area in MIRO.

Hello all,
My requirement is,
When in MIRO transaction, in details tab the BA (Business Area) comes from PO line items. When user changes this Business Area to some other value then the system should raise a warning message and continue with the transaction. It happens in MRHR transaction in 4.6. Now we are on ECC6.0 and user wants this functionality.
So is there any configuration to be done or so I need to write User Exit?
Please explain in details like where to make these config settings and all.

Make use of EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010 in Enchancement LMR1M001 User exits in Logistics Invoice Verification.
Raise your warning message by validating GSBER present in structure in exit's FM : EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010

Warning message in mir4 while posting

In miro while we post the parked document then it display the warning message as "RG23 Part II posting not yet done" , when we click on enter , the document is posting . But the user wants that as an error message not the warning message. So please tell me in what way i can get the solution.

2. Spl GL account to track share capital also seems OK
3. For grants, there is a specific functionality under PSM (Public Sector Management) component of FSCM... I guess, this is added in EhP4.. I am not sure if it was there earlier as well
Fund Mngt can also be tried for funds mngt, but am not too sure... Its better to use the specific functionality
4. Regarding budgeting in CO, it can not be on individual GL accounts.. To have budget on GL accounts, you need to activate Funds MNgt.... Std budgetary control in CO is @ Internal Order Level

Warning Message in status bar

Hi all,
I have an enhancement in which i need to pass a custom warning message through badi ' INVOICE_UPDATE ' in the status bar for TCode MIRO, i am able to display the message with a popup screen but i am unable to display it into status bar.
How can i display that warning message in the status bar ?
can we pass the custom warning message through a BADI into the status bar ?

if your system settings are normal system warning message will always come in the status bar only
any way click on customizing of local layout icon in standrad tool bar (in any screen),
goto options
inthat see the options tab, in that ,if check box wiht 'dialogue box with warning message' is checked ,
un check the check box,
click on OK
now execute your code normally and see

I am new to php and am setting up a dynamic site in Dreamweaver (thanks to the Missing Manual – very helpful). I apologise in advanced for my lengthy description of the problem (perhaps get yourself a drink before continuing!)
I have a Search page with 4 list menus where the user can select an option from ANY or ALL of the menus, if a menu is not selected the value posted to the results page will be 'zzz'.
On the results page I have 4 recordsets, all getting the correct results, only one recordset is required to run depending on how many of the menus from the search page have been selected and a test is run before executing the sql using a SWITCH statement checking how many of the menus had passed the 'zzz' values from the Search page if you see what I mean. The results page has Repeating Regions, Recordset Paging and Display Record Count. The exact result that I require are generated by this method.
THE PROBLEM, when a user makes a selection the first page of 10 results is fine, but the error message above is shown at the bottom of the page, AND when the user clicks NEXT to go to the next page of results THERE ARE NO RESULTS.
This is exactly what happens depending on how many menus selected and which recordset is used:
4 menus selected from Search: runs RSsearchforsale, results correct but 3 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale2),mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale3), & mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale4). The display record count shows correct results found. NEXT page is empty of results and still shows the correct display record count as if it should be displaying the records, also has the same 3 error messages.
3 menus selected from Search: runs RsSearchForSale2, results correct but 3 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale),mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale3), & mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale4). The display record count shows correct number of results. NEXT page shows results from the DEFAULT setting of the recordset and the Display record count reflects this new set of results. Also still shows the 3 mysql_free_results for RsSearchForSale2, 3 and 4.
2 menus selected from Search: runs   RsSearchForSale3, results correct but 2 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale) & mysql_free_result (RsSearchForSale4). The display record count is correct. NEXT page does exactly the same as described in above 3 menus selected.
1 menu selected from search: runs RsSearchForSale4, results correct but 1 error meaasge on 1st page, mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale). Display record count is correct and again when NEXT page is selected does as described in above where 2 or 3 menus selected.
If you have gotten this far without falling asleep then thank you and well done! I have pasted my code below and I know its a lot to ask but please please can you give me an idea as to where or why I have gone wrong. I felt I was so close at perfecting this search and have been working on it for weeks now. I feel sure the problem is because I have 4 recordsets on the page but I could find no other way to get the exact results I wanted from the menus.

Thank you for your reply and patience, we are getting closer in spite of me!
Of course i needed to change the name of the recordset, i did that the first time i did it (when i got the error), the when i re did it i forgot, in my defense i was also trying to get a full understanding of the code using the W3Schools php reference and writing by the side of the code on a piece of paper what it meant in English.
Anyway after re doing the code correctly it still displayed all the records of my database but i realised that was because i was POSTING from the search form and when i changed it to the GET method I now get results when all 4 list menus are selected from and the paging works. After reading about the POST / GET method i chose the POST option, is the GET method a better option in my circumstance?
On my site now if the user selects from 1,2 or 3 of the menus rather than selecting the relevant records it displays the NO RESULT page, I would like my users to be able to select from all of the menus or ANY combination of the menus and find exact results for their search, for example if they only select a location and a price i want it display all records that match that location and price with any number of bedrooms and any Type of property: Perhaps this is due to how my list menus are set up, for each menu the first Item label is Location (or Beds or Type or Price) and the value i have left blank which i believe means that it will use the item label as the value, the second Item label for all menus is Any and again the value has been left blank. All other item labels have values relevant to database records.

You're not adding the WHERE clause to the SQL query. My example code uses $query_search. You need to change that variable to match the name of your recordset, i.e. $query_RSsearchforsale.
Moreover, the WHERE clause needs to go before ORDER BY.

MIRO : Error message for a duplicate entry

When we enter In MIRO an invoice with the same informations as another invoice that was already posted, the system display a Warning message like the following :

Use tcode OBA5. Give application area as F5 and press enter. Once inside, go to new entries, and in message no. type 117. give E against online and batch and press enter. then save.

Error "Cost Cneter blocked againt direct posinting" while posting MIRO

We are trying to post the invoice with refrence to PO, line 30. As the cost center XXXX has been locked for posting, we are not able to post the invoice. We do not want to reopen the cost center in 2011. It seems that it is not possible to modify the cost center in the PO and also business doesnt want to reverse the GR which was done in F.Y. 2010.
When I try to post invoice (MIRO) with line item(e.g. item 3 P.O) full amount(4000) and quantity(1) there is no error but when I try to post with partial amount (1750) and quantity(0.4) of line item of the PO system through the following error:
Message no. KI260
Diagnosis
Cost center XXXX, controlling area YYYY is locked for primary postings on 24.02.2011. The SAP System automatically determined controlling area YYYY from the company code (and business area).
What would be the alternative solution?

A: Without price variance:
   In case no price variance occur during the invoice posting the system posts the amount to the creditor account (line item 1)
   and to the GR/IR clearing account (line item 2).   Because nothing is posted to the consumption account it makes no sense to issue message KI 260 as error.
In case the user does not enter (or change) invoice item data the system would balance the GR/IR clearing account as described above. In case no data is changed manually by the user the system does not post to the consumption account and hence it is not necessary to check the account assignment.
B: With price variance:
   In case a price variance occurs during the invoice posting the system posts the amount to the creditor account (line item 1)
   to the GR/IR clearing account (line item 2) and the price variance to the consumption account (line item 3).
During the simulation the message KI 260 is issued as warning but in case the user tries to post the invoice document
message KI 260 is issued is error.
As I described above the account assignment check is only called in case the invoice item data is entered or changed manually. This is why you get the error when you post partially

More than one Bank a/c during MIRO.

Hi
The vendor is having more than one bank accounts. By default during MIRO the system is taking a particular account all times.
I want the system to warn me that more than one Bank a/c is available for the vendor. How to set this?

When you have different banks maintained in your vendor master for the
same vendor, maitain the field 'Partner Bank Type'
(LFBK-BVTYP) with different identifiers A, B and C to identify different
bank accounts.
Later when you do IV in MIRO, Enter the POI / Vendor and
go over to the tab 'Payment' and choose the appropriate 'Part. Bank'
from the drop-down (just below the payment method field). This would
show you the available bank accounts A, B or C.

Problem with MIRO Transaction while posting Un planned Delivery cost

Hi all,
We have entered all the details including unplanned delivery cost in transaction MIRO. When we are trying to post the same by using post button directly with out simulation, system is asking for plant details.
For first time we have entered wrong Plant details , system immediately asking again for plant details.
Next time even if we entered correct plant details, the system is coming out from the screen MIRO and it is not posting the document.
If you go through simulate button and it is working fine and it is giving Warning message, If we enter the wrong Plant details.
My Client requirement is If we post the MIRO transaction including Un planned delivery cost with Post button. If we enter wrong plant details. System will through Error message, until we enter the correct plant details.
Is there any way to do this. Pl help me in this regard.

In the MIRO T Code, U can see PO reference tab is there, Just below it there is Purchase order/scheduling agreement field is there . enter the purchase order number in blank field next to Purchase order/scheduling agreement and press enter. U can see it will take the required data automatically.

Issue with the change of GL Account in MIRO.

We are having a situation where user Creates a Purchase order against a Cost Account and thus have a cost center as one of the account assignments. But when it comes to to MIRO, user changes the Cost Account to Balance sheet Account and posts the document.
The Miro documents post against the balance sheet with the cost center and system does not give any warning or error.
Any ideas on how to either stop the user from changing the GL in MIRO or make sure that it throws an error.

You could set up FI validations to make sure that when you enter a balance sheet account that you check the company preference. That could be no cost center or require a profit center. You define your preference. Use tcode MIRO and check balance sheet type account then check to be sure that cost center is not used. Validtions are in OB28.

Incorrect vendor in MIRO due to referencing more than one PO,

We are using 4.7 version. I observed the following phnomenon while doing MIRO:
When MIRO is done with reference to multiple PO with different vendors (might be entered by mistake), there is no warning/error message by the system and when posted, it considers the vendor of the first PO and the posting is done successfully. I hope there should be a way to control this in standard SAP.
