Mirror on iPad2 not working...

Trying to mirror ipad2 to apple tv with iOS 5. Have latest updates for iPad and apple tv, but not working right. When I turn mirroring on on iPad2 it is so lagged that not usable. Sounds not lagged, video lagged 10 to 20 seconds and not fluid at all. Thoughts?

Take a vacuum and as best possible with a nearly closed fist give the opening a really good clean.

I would just like to inform you that the available operations of the MirrorLink function vary depending on the smartphone or the application being used. Therefore, some of the applications installed in the smartphone may not work when using the MirrorLink function. You can close the application and remove the USB connection between the smartphone and the car stereo then, reconnect again to resolve the issue. Here's the list of compatible devices.

While written for the iPhone, the troubleshooting below can help resolve issues with your iPad's camera, as well.
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

i see a lot of denial on this site when it comes to viruses, the same applies to apple updates messing up folks devices. Take it back to an apple store and it is likely the best you can hope for is a discount on a new ipad. Good luck. Hopefully someone here can help you with a fix.

External display mirrors but will not work side-by-side. What is wrong?

I am using a VIZIO HD TV as a second display . Setting the TV to 1920 x 1080 (it's max) and the iMac to 1920 x 1200, the two displays work correctly in the "Mirror" mode. When I set the "Arrangement" to side by side to create another display space, the TV displays the Invalid Mode error. The behavior does not improved when the two displays are set to lower resolution levels. This same TV works fine in all modes when connected as a second display to my Mac Book Pro.
Any ideas?

Mr. Brody, you may be the "Geek" (compliment) I am desperately looking for, No one in our area .. and AppleCare (on all three of my units) has no answer.
I added an ASUS VH198T 19" monitor for viewing tutorials while working in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. DVI to mini for iMac. The ASUS runs at 60Khz and 1440x900 where the iMac is, of course 1680x1050. Each time the ASUS goes to sleep is closed, when it restarts, the iMac apparently sets it to one of it's standard resolutions 1600x900, unfortunately that's a little higher so I get flashing of the ASUS and ... WEIRD > Magic Mouse goes nuts with pointer jumping all over. Apple had a tech come by for the Mouse, wouldn't even consider the monitor, not an Apple product. Tech found nothing. I have talked with ASUS several times, they say it is the Mac and I now think they are right, especially after they sent me a replacement under terms of their warranty, very generous. It does the same! Both monitors work on our Xp Laptop, it lets me set the resolution to whatever I want.
When 'mirrored' the resolution IS set to 1440x900, works fine when return to individual UNTIL the next time it sleeps or turned off. Any suggestion???
Can Terminal allow a change from 1600 to 1440?? If so, how?? I'm not Linux or Unix literate, among other things.

i have verify that all the components are almost the same please advice why because i was able to previously airply movies why not now that i have the latest os x mountain lion

iTunes airplay still works as it always has.
AirPlay Mirroring (the ML-added feature) requires the latest Intel hardware (specifically the Intel HD Graphics subprocessor). This hardware includes a feature called QuickSync Video (similar to HDMI-over-wifi).
There is no 'almost' have it. Either you do or you do not. It wasn't an arbitrary decision by Apple to deny older Macs of this hardware feature.

[SOLVED] vsftpd on Local Mirror, running but not working

I'm building a Local Mirror on a vm (vbox) with bridged adapter and fix-ip by following this wiki.

After the painful rsync and those setup, I tried pacman -Syu from another Arch vm (no firewall). I received the following error.

I've tried by nmap on the hosting PC and find that the vsftpd should be running.

In the wiki, it suggests to use "ftp" to replace "mirror" for ftp_username & nopriv_user. I tried both.
I also find that there is no "archlinux" under my /home/mirror/files as "suggested" by the following statement in vsftpd.conf

anon_root=/home/mirror/files/archlinux
I tried both (1) amend the vsftpd.conf to remove the "archlinux", and (2) manually add that directory with owner/group=mirror.
Meanwhile, I only find under /home/mirror/files 6 items - community core extra community.lastsync core.lastsync extra.lastsync. Have I completed the rsync successfully? Or, something is missing. Is the directory structure correct?
Is the sample vsftpd.conf in the Local Mirror wiki updated? I've cross reference it with the vsftpd wiki but I'm not knowledgable enough to find things useful.
What else should I check?
I love ArchLinux so much that I really hope that it can work.

I have tried couple of Linux distro to learn Linux/Network. I like ArchLinux's "simple" concept, light weight, updated packages, nice document and fast bootup/shutdown. I have installed over ten times ArchLinux in different virtualmachines and netbook in the past week. I will keep some, delete some and create more. I don't have a fast internet connection and that's why I would like to set up my local mirror. I am a newbie here, so please feel free to let me know if I am taking too much (bandwidth) from the community, and it is not encouraged for my case. And sorry if I have already created any trouble.
Well, back to my problem.
1. After the rsync, including everything, the / now occupies 14G harddisk space. Is it a normal size for a local mirror?
2. I have inserted "Server = file:///home/mirror/files/$repo/os/i686" as the first line in its /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
pacman -Syy looks fine.
pacman -Syu gives a list of warning (xxx: local is newer than core), end with "there is nothing to do"
pacman -S mplayer starts installtion normally, but need mirrors on internet cause a large portion of software is missing/inaccessible on my local mirror.
3. I have tried to login by FileZilla from an Ubuntu vm, and receive this error message (on FileZilla)
Status: Connecting to 192.168.100.100:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 421 Service not available.
Error: Could not connect to server
Seems I have issues on both the mirror and the vsftpd. I prefer to resolve the vsftpd problem first, but all suggestion/comment are very welcome.
Lastly, did I post my question in a wrong place? If yes, please let me know.

Apple TV Ipad-2 Mirror with Airplay not working w/ HBOGO

I have Apple TV 2, latest one with upgrade to 4.4, I have iPad 2 w ios 5, I have Lion on my Mac and latest iTunes 10.5. I have HBO go app which streams the HBO shows, when I am streaming the show on the iPad and have the AirPlay bar at the bottom that lets me select to connect to Apple TV and I do connect to Apple tv, it only plays the Audio through the TV, no Video. Am I doing something wrong?

As of now HBOGO does not support either mirroring or HDMI connections from device to TV. When I tried to mirror my iphone 4s the screen had the hbogo logo and a disclaimer that it wasnt supported at this time but they are working on it for the future.

Microphone on ipad2 not working/ Genius bar no help

I had my first bad experience with an apple product; I bought my iPad alittle over a year ago, the microphone stopped working a few months after. I followed instructions and took it to a genius bar(I don't have one close so it took several months before I could travel to get to one), they simply blew it out and it "worked" there at the bar, after getting it home I noticed that it did not have the same recording ability as before, the next day it stopped working all together. Today I took it back and (now that it is out of warranty) was told that there was nothing that they could do and that the microphone was shot and told me that I could trade it in but would need to pay $250 to get a replacement. SO BUYER BEWARE!!! If The apple people really lost a lot of points with this customer (I realize this doesn't mean much), I still do love my iPad however my Dell gets better support. I suggest to all that after a "Genius" "fixes" your iPad mic, test it in some quiet place and if it does not meet your expectations take it straight back in.

I don't understand... you say "a few months" after you got it it had this problem, and after the genius bar you noticed it again "the next day." So you waited that long to return to the genius bar?
Anyway I always say you should talk to two different geniuses. There are several incidents I hear where the first genius is just plain wrong or unhelpful but the next time you go in the other one is knowledgeable and accomodating.
If you take it in again, explain to them that you were told there was nothing wrong with it (while it was in warranty), and now they want to charge you for it. In the future, even if the genius finds nothing wrong, ask them to make a note that you observed the issue. If it happens later on (even out of warranty) they may be more accomodating.

Camera Pack support for IPad2 not working??????

I would like to know why Adobe havnt pushed forward with using the camera on the ipad2 to intergrate with their software. For instance, the camera pack comes with a self timer mode of which it doscnt recoqnise the IPad 2 camera??

Photoshop Express version 2.0.2 was released on iTunes App Store yesterday, which adds all current Camera Pack functionality to iPad 2. It should offer itself as an update to your currently installed app.
If you have already paid for the Camera Pack, the features should automatically reveal themselves in your app. If not, go into the Photoshop Express app Settings (gear button at the top), then select Purchases > Restore Purchases

Video mirroring in Mavericks not working

Hi folks,
I have an Apple TV and I just downloaded Mavericks; I'd like to video mirror onto my AppleTV.
When I open up my system preferences , I can click on my displays icon. When I click on the checkbox for the video mirroring to show up in the menu bar, I can check the box, but nothing happens in the menu bar. Needless to say, I cannot video mirror on my AppleTV.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi, recent update has caused me a nightmare, anytime I connect my hdmi lead to phone and tv it says cant find and has a white background. everything was fine until the update. I really have not got the first clue about phones, any the technical jargon totally pickles my head. anyone have any ideas, ideally translated into simple basic beginners english would be awesome. I used the (Apple branded) VGA adapter lots of times last year. Now I got back to one place I used it many times and it does not work. When I restart iPad with the adapter connected, I get the "accessory is not supported"message. But that same accessory WAS supported before.
This is very annoying as I planned a whole bunch of presentations starting this week to do with my iPad2 and that adapter.

I received the same error message, "Accessory Not Supported" from both the VGA and DV video adapters I purchased, both were boxed direct from Apple. However, to bypass this problem I simply clicked on Photos icon on iPad2 and flipped through photos until it displayed on my projector. I then exited the Photos app and my home screen displayed fine on the projection screen.
Some logic issue with the video adapters, but launching Apple Photo app initializes the video adapters then they work fine for mirroring after that.

Airplay is not working between ipad2/iphone5 and apple TV2. When I try to use airplay with my iPad 2 or ipad5, I can hear it, but the video won't show. I even tried to just mirror the screens and still nothing. It does work with my macbook air. I've tried resetting everything with no success. What should I do?

Are you sure the site you are trying to view isn't blocking AirPlay.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.
