I have installed mountain lion. when i try to mirroring apple tv, it doesnt work.
Audio is working, but video is not working. My tv cannot display anything, and just a dark screen.
However airplay is working pretty well, both video and audio are working.
can you please tell me how to fix it
ps. my mbp do support mirroring as early 2011 and apple g3 is up to date.

Enable mirroring Apple TV screen crash

After installing Time Capsule, my Apple Tv crashes screen when i enable mirroring. The sound works good, but screen turn into green pixels. Any clue ?

My iPhone with ios8 wont mirror Apple tv

My iPhone 5s with ios7 works well with Apple tv. But my new iphone 6+ with ios8 shows the mirror switch but the TV screen is blank when attempting to turn mirroring on. Is there a bug with ios8. There's obviously not a connection problem since ios7 phone connects every time.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

If you are referring to lag then that can be caused by network interference. Go to istumbler or netstumbler to verify.

Mirror zoomed-in movie playing on iPod Touch 5g to Apple TV via Airplay?

Is it possible to mirror a zoomed-in movie (1080p) playing on my iPod Touch 5g to the 3rd gen Apple TV via Airplay?
My Soniq TV doesn't have a zoom feature and I know that Apple TV can't zoom.
I want the movie to fill the entire screen of my TV (I don't mind cropping some of the edges off). I can zoom in on the movie playing on my iPod Touch 5g but when I enable airplay mirroring to the Apple TV, it reverts to the 1080p format with black bands along the top and bottom. I know it is using airplay and not mirroring to play the video on the Apple TV but I want to display exactly what's showing on my iPod Touch 5g on the Apple TV. Is there a work-around or an app in the App Store that enables this?

Macbook Air mirroring to Apple TV

After upgrading to OS X Yosemite my Macbook Air will no longer mirror to my apple TV. I just get a black screen on my TV and an error message on my Macbook. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this problem.
My phone and Ipads still mirror, so it is something to do with my Macbook Air.

Follow up:
Ran Airplay with just a Finder window open. No cursor problem.
Ran a video in iTunes with Airplay. Cursor was displaced about 4 inches to the left. For example in Text Edit, clicking on Text Edit in the MenuBar droped the Help Menu. I was able to access the Airplay menu by clicking in the Menubar four inches to the left of the Airplay icon, and turned it off. The cursor behaviour was immediately corrected.
Ran the same video directly using QuickTime player. Same result … displaced cursor.
Ran the same video directly using VLC player. Same result … displaced cursor.
Went to Display Preferences … selected Apple TV and Best for AirPlay. Ran same video … no cursor problem.
Went back to previous settings and have not been able to reproduce the problem. Go figure!
If you still have the problem, I would suggest opening Display Preferences and make sure that the Airplay Mirroring/Apple TV and Resolution/Best for AirPlay options are selected. Note: You have to select Apple TV at the bottom left before the "Best for AirPlay" option shows up.

Apple mirroring needs a protocol to message EXACTLY why, when mirroring will not appear on an iphone. It is sloppy architecture to simply have the mirroring / Apple TV buttons not shown when something is wrong - especially when both iphone and AppleTV are on same WiFi network with solid signal and no interference. Trying to figure out why (fickle) mirroring will not appear on the iphone should not be a guessing game, as the current architecture has it now. At least have a message protocol so the iphone can be told what is preventing mirroring so it can report to the iphone user.

I'm an applications developer and also run a part-time videography business. As such, I require more than 3.12GB of RAM. That is the physical limitation of a 32bit system. Pointless to stay on 32bit if you plan on having more than that much RAM.
I'm also not about to pay someone to fix my PC when I can do it myself. I was originally hoping for someone who had experienced the problem before to point me in the right direction so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure out what the issue was for myself.
Basically, in the end the problem was caused because right at the point in time when I chose to uninstall, and reinstall; Apple released a new version of iTunes. This version in turn had a requirement of iOS 4.2 to sync with the iPhone. This is a pretty embarrassing for Apple that they would release software reliant on other software before said software was released.
Had I realised I was downloading a newer version at the initial point of installation, this wouldn't have been an issue. I could've easily have rolled back iTunes to the previous version and gotten on with my life.
Another issue is that iTunes is not actually a 64 bit application. It masquerades as one to allow installation on the 64 bit platform.

If you have an iPhone 4s or later and IOS 7 or later you should have the AirPlay symbol on the phone and you can mirror the iPhone's display to the Apple Tv.

Note with the Apple TV and IOS device need to be on the same wifi network for this to work so I'm not sure in this case, trying to connect to hotel wifi, if this will work.
If you have IOS 8 on the IOS device you might be able to use peer-to-peer networking. This lets an IOS device connect directly to the Apple TV without needing to connect both devices to a wifi network.

How do I get multiple Apple Tv's to show up in Airplay?

I have two apple TV's hooked to my network. iTunes is running on an iMac. When I click the AirPlay icon, only one of my ATV's show up.
How do I get both to show?
