Mirroring Content Viewer / Published DPS

We are still in the testing phase and still using the free Content Viewer on our Original iPad and iPad 2. I've looked for this information but haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone know if your able to mirror Content Viewer to a projector? Or once you publish your folio, are you able to mirror it as well? From what I've read, only certain apps can be "mirrored" on the iPad.
We will be using the Apple Digital AV Adapter.

Maybe we're talking about two different things. I take my A/V cable for my ipad, plug it into the ipad's bottom port, and then connect it to our projector. From there I can display my ipad on the screen, and that includes running the Adobe Content Viewer as well as DPS publications from iTunes (such as National Geographic). I just did it now to confirm I'm not crazy

  • Could you pls include Web Content Viewer in DPS SE as well?

Or allow for the folio to be exported as a pdf, complete with overlays?

    Hi Charles,
I like this proposal. Especially the MDM Version is very helpful if anyone wants to recreate the problem on a local PC. Additionally it makes sense to add this info because of the release of MDM 7.1. MDM 7.1 has a lot of changed as well as additional functionality compared to MDM 5.5. It's easier to answer a question if it's clear, what the question is about.

  • Content Viewer login issue still here

I made a new Content Viewer via DPS App Builder. The device preview is running perfectly (thank you for the fix). The login issue (you have to login twice) is still here.
    Best regards

When we can expect R26? This bug is killing me 8 times a day.
If my counting is correct, R26 should be here in first half of April?

  • Can't view interactive items with Content Viewer

I have created some interactive items in InDesign CS6; rollover buttons, animation, slideshow... etc. when I click Preview at the bottom of the Folio Overlay panel it works fine but when I test with Content Viewer(both desktop and iPad 2), it's not working. Let me know if you can help me on this, I have spent last couple days to figure out this error but no luck so far.
Thought I did something wrong so I have test with "Local Spring" tutorial and swipe 360 viewer and slideshow don't work either.
System Info: Mac Lion OX, CS6, Adobe Content Viewer(v20), DPS tools are all updated.

Have you tried moving it over to the actual device to test it (i.e. iPad)? I found my videos didn't look very well on the desktop version of the Content Viewer but when I moved it over to the iPad, it looked great.
    Just a thought.

  • Can I publish Single Issue DPS apps without the content viewer skin?

Hey - we're building an 'app' using Adobe DPS plugins in indesign, and I have a fundamental question:
When publishing a single issue iPad app to the Apple App Store, is there any way to do away with the Adobe-imposed content viewer skin? We have enough wayfinding and interactivity built into in the folio itself - we would like to get rid of the extra chrome surrounding it. (see below) Is this possible?
    Thanks!

    No.

  • DPS(PDF) on Content Viewer V24 for iPad

    Hi all,
    I created DPS Magazine Decmber issue (1024 x 768: Image = PDF),
and checked it(not published folo) on Content viewer v24(2.9.0.0.63929) for iPad.
I set Folio version: v22 on Folio Builder menu, because of my released viewer app is v22.
On iPad1, pinch-zoom works well, but text rendering doesn't work.
On iPad2, New iPad, pinch-zoom and text rendering work well.
My DPS Magazine Novermber issue, text rendering also doesn't work on v24 iPad1.
It worked well on v23 iPad1.
Is this a just problem of Content viewer v24(2.9.0.0.63929) for iPad?

I was able to replicate the issue and have reported this as a Bug. I'll update you directly when this is resolved.

  • Viewing DPS folio on Content Viewer on PC

I am developing a DPS folio on a Mac for publication on iOS devices. I have a co-worker who needs to review my content on a PC. He is not using Adobe apps but has downloaded the Content Viewer on his PC. I have shared my folio with him and he can read it on an iPad. But we have not found a way for him to access my folio on a PC. Is this possible?

    Thanks Bob,
Actually, the content viewer on a PC can be downloaded at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/installing-digital-publishing-tools.h tml and since it's a standalone executable, it does not require InDesign, etc., to be installed.
Yes, this person has an Adobe ID (but not Creative Suite) and yes, I have successfully shared this folio.
He and others would like to use Adobe Connect to review this app with me. The group I work within are mostly developers using PCs and I am developing documentation on a Mac/Creative Suite.

  • Viewing Folios with DPS Folio Producer and Adobe Content Viewer on IPad?

What is the path to viewing a folio, on an IPad, that has been published with the DPS Folio Producer.
Opening Adobe Content Viewer on IPad has no obvious path to the folio in the Producer.
There is no obvious path to the library in Adobe Content Viewer, either?
Logged in both with Adobe I.D.
    Using ID CS6 on Windows.
Also as a Creative Cloud single member what is the process of being able to publish unlimited apps to the IPad.
Thank you in advance for your response.
    James Goins

Unfortunately, if you're on Windows you have no process to publish an
    app. You need a Mac.
I wish Adobe would allow Creative Cloud members to use the same process
that Pro and Enterprise subscribers have by exporting a zip file. You
still need a Mac but you can pretty much use any Mac you have access to.
With Creative Cloud to publish a Single Edition app, you must have
InDesign installed on a Mac and you generate the app by choosing create
app from the folio builder panel menu.
All that said, if you create a folio while signed into the folio builder
panel, that folio should show up in Adobe Content Viewer as long as
    you're properly signed into it.

  • Folio showing in Content Viewer, but not when published in Custom Content Viewer... please help...!

I shared a folio to review it in the Content Viewer and everything looks ok, but when published (public / free) custom viewer (v24) doesn't show it. What could be the problem?
    Thanks, and excuse my english...

    I am guessing two things:
    1. You created the folio and uploaded to id [email protected] Then you shared with [email protected]
What is the Title id mentioned in DPS App builder. If it's [email protected], it will not work.
    2. Do you have multiple folios with the same product id.

  • Adobe DPS and web content viewer issues

Having an issue with the tablet and web content viewer version of this particular article. I've create two separate documents one for iPad and one for iPhone, reuploaded the article and recreate the entire article all in the hopes that it would resolve the issue. Any ideas as to how I can remedy this problem? Thanks.

This is a known issue with smooth scrolling articles in the web viewer: From Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS Bug Fix Release Notes:
"Smooth Scrolling articles in web viewer may not display properly on the last page if the length of the smooth scrolling article is not an exact multiple of the folio height. For example, the last page of a 1024x2000 article may be cropped, but a 1024x1536 (2 times the height) or a 1024x2304 (3 times the height) should display fine. The issue is especially common in portrait orientation. One workaround is to make the height of the smooth scrolling page height an exact multiple of the folio height. Another workaround is to use PNG image format for the Smooth Scrolling article instead of PDF."

Log into digitalpublishing.acrobat.com with that ID and then try again.

  • DPS web content viewer is caching css...?

I have noticed that when using web content viewer for use of digital publications it seems that it is caching CSS when I use preview function. This makes it very hard to make css changes. One work around I have found is using inline CSS, but ick...seriously yuk.
I am developing my own assests for a few portions and need to be able to write my own HTML5/js without help of a tool like edge animate.
    any ideas?

  • Defaulting fonts when viewing DPS articles in Adobe Content Viewer

    Hi.
My fonts are defaulting throughout my folio when I view articles in Adobe content viewer.
This folio is a PDF. I have published before and not had this issue.
Is the problem with Content Viewer?
Will the type display correctly when I publish this folio and view in app?
    Thank you.

When a font is missing or unlinked that font shows up as a default font.
The fonts in these documents are not missing or unlinked.
When I update the article it fixes the problem, but only temporarily.
The fonts default the next time I view the article.
