Mirroring from IPAD to Samsung

I have an ipad air, and a 2014 samsung smart tv. I have a wireless network, using Smartview 2 I have now connected the IPAD tv the television through the wireless router. I can control the TV from the IPAD, but when I try to view Photos, Videos or Music through the TV it comes back with error message 'No music files found on the connected device' What do I need to do on the Ipad to enable the data sharing.?

Thanks for your assistance, but I think you are mistaken in your belief that Smartview 2 only links to some Android devices, one of the main purposes of the application is to link Apple devices to Android SmartTVs. Also that app is how I am able to control the TV from my IPAD, I just need to know how to share photos across a wifi network from my IPAD.

If your going to play real time games your best bet is to use the HDMI adaptor. Due to the lag or rather delay with the response time of Apple TV or any other wireless method. Other then that you should be able to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull up your settings. Tap on Apple TV then chose mirroring. The icon only appears if the Apple TV box is ready and able to connect.

It may also be a limitation with the app, your 1G iPad can only be updated to iOS 5.1.1 where your bother inlaw's 2G will update to the latest iOS 6.1.3. Check the apps requirements in the iTunes Store.
You should also Reset your devices, unplug the Apple TV then plug it back in. To Reset your iPad:
From the Home screen double tap the Home button to view the multitasking bar at the bottom. Tap and hold an app at the bottom till the icons wiggle with the minus button visible. Tap the button to close all apps then tap the Home button to get back to the Home page. Press and hold the Sleep button till you see the Slide to power off message and power it off. Once powered down completely press and hold the sleep button till the Apple icon appears.

Mirroring won't fill the TV screen. The iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the iPhone 4S or prior an aspect ratio of 3:2, neither of these will fit exactly into a TV screen which as an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Apple TV will not zoom the mirrored image, because it may well cut off information which is situated at the top or bottom of the screen.
You may wish to try each of the settings in ‘Settings > Audio & Video > Adjust for AirPlay overscan’ for the best setting that suits you.

Can't get video via Airplay Mirroring from iPad to TV

I am trying to watch NFL Rewind using my iPad2 through Airplay Mirroring to Samsung Smart TV but, I am only getting an audio and not the video.. Can someone PLEASE help me how to get the video?

Make sure the App you are trying to use supports Video mirroring some don't for copyright reasons.
If You can mirror your iPads home screen, then mirroring works and its up to the actual App to allow the mirroring of their Video source.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
Apparently there is an issue if you push the Apple Remote before you set your computer to mirror. Whatever I did, it had locked it in that state. Once I stopped mirroring, then went onto the TV screen and restarted the Apple TV (#1 above) it then allowed me to choose mirroring on my Mac and the audio automatically switched from the computer to the TV (making the computer now mute), BTW the volume needs to be maxed on the computer as that will transmit to the TV if your volume is low on the computer. Then you can raise or lower it the way you want on your TV.

Apple Tv Mirror from iPad

We are planing to go on a cruise very soon, and done some reading, but not 100% one 1 thing.
If i load up my ipad 3 (the wifes got ipad 2) then connect up the Apple Tv via hdmi cable, would i be able to mirror whats on our ipads on the TV?
The room will not have a internet connection or wifi connection.
This is only 1 of the things i plan to do with this.
So its all about will the Apple Tv work without a wifi connection,
will it just connect up with ipad/iphones?

Connect up the ipad/iphone to the Seagate hdd (use the default settings to start with, then u can change name of network/password ect)This is an app for the seagate hdd that does this.
Turn on the AppleTV and then just usging the built in Menu go to Network, and then pick the network that has been set up on the seagate Hdd.
ALL this does let you do is, Mirror the ipad/iphone as there is no internet connection. but thats ok cause internet was not a must for me. if i want internet on it, i just connect it up to my Home network.

Output from iPad to Samsung TV is magenta

After upgrading my iPad to IOS7 the output through hdmi to my Samsung Tv is Magenta. If I display a picture it has a magenta border where it previously was black and has a magenta hue over the entire screen. This is consistent with all apps. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

No Airplay Mirroring from Ipad

As many other posters in the community, I have trouble with mirroring and connecting to AppleTV, (no mirroring option appears....)
Even though my Ipad 2 (128Gb....) says I'm on the same network as the AppleTV, i can only send (or stream...) photos or movies from Netflix to AppleTV ..... no problem...(I know you can do that from within AppleTv... just trying out this option...)
I can't get to mirror images I need, from Dropbox or Numbers or Keynote or Pages, when I need to do presentations in the office....??????
Using IOs 8.0.2, on it and the latest AppleTV software, I can only do this from My IPhone 5..... which has no problem synching with it..... but the reduced screen doesn't help, since it becomes akward and cumbersome to handle .... not to mention it seems rather desperate.... (not good clientwise...)
This is obviously a glitch in IOs software....or am I missing something? I've used previous IOs software for this purpose before, with no problem...
Can anyone give me a hint to the solution..... Or am I just another Apple Sucker, who misses Steve Jobs's management and his high standards of quality?

Air Play Mirroring from IPad 2 to AppleTV2nd Gen

Issue: I'm not not getting the Mirroring option on IPad. I have successfully upgraded to IOS5 on my IPad2 and have also updated to
the current software version on my AppleTV 2Nd Gen. Followed the posted instructions by choosing which AppleTV2 unit in the AirPlay icon but what is posted is the Mirroring option should then appear. It is not. Any suggestions?

It seems that Update 4.4 has bugs that needed fixing and thats the purpose of 4.4.1 however that update and the 4.4 have both been pulled due to so much bugs found and after customers losing there ATV all togehter. That's why your ATV says it's up to date.
Thankfully you can still use it.

Mirror video playback from iPad [original] to iPad Mini late 2012?

I want to make a video on an iPad mini and play it back on the mini with someone else watching it on an iPad original. Also want to stop and start the video in order to critique the other person's recorded performance. Can this be done with airplay? Not sure which rev of iOS is on the iPad.

Just noticed that the question is backwards. Want to mirror from iPad mini to iPad original.
Is there some other way to do this if AirPlay doesn't work?

HT201335 AirPlay Mirroring is working from iPad and iPhone, but not from Macbook Pro. How to fix?

I can see and activate AirPlay Mirroring from Macbook but nothing displays on the TV when mirroring is activated (screen changes from Apple TV menu to blank screen only). I have 3rd generation Apple TV and a brand new Macbook Pro, so AirPlay Mirroring is supported by both devices. I can display video content on the TV from my MacBook from iTunes by selecting to display on Apple TV instead of my computer, but it does not work for mirroring.
For reference, when I activate AirPlay Mirroring from iPad or iPhone, it works perfectly and content is displayed on my TV.
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

How do I mirror from windows PC to multiple ipads at the same time?

Work in a band. Band uses a Windows 7 PC and I need to mirror that screen to at least two, and up to four, ipad screens for other band members. The ipads only need to mirror the PC screen. They do not need to have any control or influence over the PC - just observation. Currently run AirDisplay to connect one ipad but need to connect multiple now.
Air Display doesn't work - won't connect multiple devices from PC and one of the Ipads is a first generation and doesn't use Air Display

AirPlay Mirroring is supported on your Mac, but it needs OS X Mountain Lion (10.8). See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
You have two possibilities:
1. Make a backup, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion to upgrade to this OS X. Then, you will find the AirPlay Mirroring icon at the top right of the display, on the menu bar, or on System Preferences > Displays.
2. Keep OS X Lion and use AirParrot > http://www.airparrot.com
Both options work properly, but I recommend AirPlay Mirroring as it doesn't need a third-party program
