Mirroring stopped working

Just got Apple TV.  Mirroring was working and I was very excited.  Then it stopped. My IPad 2 stopped showing the mirroring option as did my IMac.

Same here.  To add to the frustration, I have another Apple TV at home and it does work on the same devices I am trying from on my other that doesn't.  Got to be a simple answer... Seeing a lot of people with this issue.

  • Apple tv mirroring stops working

I just installed my new Bell modem SageMCom 2684 and my Apple TV mirroring stopped working properly--it freezes in less than a minute when I mirror a MacBook Pro.  My TV, Apple TV, & Bell modem are relatively close. I disabled  WMM, but no luck. I connected my old router to the modem & connected the Mac & aTV to the same wireless network, but the performace remained bad.  I updated aTV's software, but no luck.  Is this really a a Wi-Fi network problem, or an issue with Apple devices???  Thanks.

  • After updating tp OS X 10.8.5 my mirroring stopped working

I work with 2 monitors. After updating tp OS X 10.8.5 my mirroring stopped working.

Can't remember if the Display menu bar icon was removed in Mountain Lion like it is in Mavericks, which makes it harder to switch between Extended Desktop and Mirroring.
First try going to Apple > System Preferences > Displays > Display tab and see if checking "Show displays in the menu bar" is still available..?
If it is, then you should still be able to select between Extended Desktop (Mirroring Off) and Mirroring On from the menu bar or by opening the Display Preference from there.
If it is not, try > Mac App Store - Display Menu which will give you the Mirror Displays option on your menu bar.

  • Airplay mirroring stopped working

    Hi,
    i have a problem which i can't solve.
My MacBook Pro Retina 15'' was able to use the airplay video mirroring on the AppleTV 3 without problems.
Some days ago, i saw, that the icon was not longer available in the menu bar.
The system settings just shows "No device found".
I can use the AppleTV for audio streaming without problems.
I tried another AppleTV (also with latest software) and it doesn't work, too.
So it seems to be a problem wirth my MacBook.
Is there any settings file, system component or other file, i should check (or maybe delete)?
I took a look into the system console and found the following entries regarding "airplay"
You can see, that i started audio airplay from iTunes, but there are two lines that may show some problem.
    Does anybody have a hint?

    Ok, i fixed it.
    Just for documentation:
I started the MacBokk with Command-R
I choosed to reinstall Mountain Lion
After the system was installed again, AirPlay Mirroring was working perfectly again.
I had to update the system again, but everything is fine again.
All installed software is still working, so it was quite easy, no need to istall everything again.
Checking the console output, now the AirPlay agent seems to work, so this was definately the problem:

  • Mirroring stopped working from ipad2 to apple tv 2, how can this be fixed?

Mirroring was working from iPad2 to apple tv 2, but then all of a sudden stopped.  Cannot figure this out.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for reading!

    Try rebooting

  • Why did my airplay mirroring stop working when I downloaded the most recent update yesterday?

Yesterday, I open up my computer and I received a notification.  The notification said new software update, so I up the app store and get my update.  I sit down to work on words with my daughter using the airplay mirroring feature and I am stymied.  It is not popping up in neither my menu bar nor the display tab of system preferences.

I just needed a restart of my apple television.  Thanks Apple support . . .

  • Apple TV video / audio Mirroring stopped working with Yosemite 10.10.3 update

Have just updated two Macbook Airs to Yosemite 10.10.3. Also updated Apple TV to latest version (7.2).
Now video / audio play back is extremely stuttery = only get about 1 sec of play back every 5 secs. We also have a Chromecast (similar to Mirroring) and that plays video & audio from the Mac perfectly. Movies play ok from iTunes, as do Youtube etc directly from Apple TV.
Never had any issues with previous versions of Yosemite.
I can't find any info on this on Apple sites or searching the web. Just articles stating how many bugs 10.10.3 has fixed!!
I can't work out how to contact Apple with this issue, when I use the support page for my location (New Zealand) it times out trying to enter the details.
    Cheers

I have found a similar thread that was started last year with the same problems on 10.10.2. The solution suggested there has worked for me - turn off Bluetooth before connecting to Apple Tv via Airplay.
Hopefully Apple will fix this Bug, but I won't hold my breath as it seems some users have had this issue through a couple of releases off Yosemite.

  • ATV3 Airplay stopped working

I recently set up my Apple TV 3 in my college dorm, which uses a WPA2 Enterprise network, to airplay from my 2011 MBP on 10.8.2. It was working fine (Airplay, mirroring, home sharing), then all of a sudden Airplay and Mirroring stopped working. The icon still appears in the status bar of os x and iTunes, but whenever I select Apple TV as my audio device in preferences, it hangs for a while and then reverts back to internal speakers. If I try to start mirroring, it changes my screen res but nothing displays on my TV, then after about 30 seconds it reverts back. If I try selecting Apple TV within iTunes, It hangs on 'Connecting to "Apple TV"' for a while, then reverts back to internal speakers.
I've tried restarting both my computer and ATV multiple times, I've done a factory restore of my ATV3, turned off bluetooth on my MBP and ATV, disabled IPv6 on my MBP. No luck so far.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I should also point out that home sharing is still working, as are all other apple tv apps (youtube, nba etc)

  • AirPlay mirror on Apple TV stops working when a Skype or Google conversation is started (iOS 7)

I thought it would be nice to see Skype contacts on the large screen and realised this should be possible using my Apple TV, but AirPlay (in mirror mode) on Apple TV stops working when a Skype or Google + conversation is started after showing all right on the TV till that point. I'm using iOS 7 and the problem occurs on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5. Facetime seems to be OK, and Skype works over Apple TV when using my daughter's MacBook Pro (though I haven't tried Google + on it), so I deduce that the issue is with iOS 7. I have had success one or twice with using Skype in this manner on my iPhone so it is not consistant, but this is rare and hasn't happened in my latest attempts. Unfortunately some of my Skype contacts don't have an Apple device so I often can't use Facetime.
Is there a work around, or has Apple acknowledged this issue and said there will be a fix?

    Same problem here.
iPhone 5s + apple TV + Skype all are up to date. Mirroring is working until the video signal starts, after that the Apple TV goes back to the Apple TV starting screen.

  • AirPlay Mirroring Target has stopped working

I'm attempting to record a demo from my iPhone 5 using the Reflector app (AirPlay Mirroring Target).  When I attempt to save the recorded video (MP4 is the only option available), I get this message:
AirPlay Mirroring Target has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I recorded and saved the recording back on April 15 without this error, but now it just shuts down the Reflector app completely.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • External mic stopped working on my laptop

I was in the middle of recording music and then the  external microphone stopped working, this is the first time it has done this. And yes I have it plugged into the right jack I also have checked to make sure that it is unmuted, I thought that maybe somehow the driver unistalled itself so I got another driver and still nothing. But to be honest I have no idead what I am doing here people so please any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    P.S.
I have windows 7 and the model laptop is a satellite L505-ES5018

same problem as me, I accidently deleted my driver (one word, brownies)
Is there any way to get them back? Maybe a driver download by mirror if someone can assist us it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

  • Yoga 11s - WIDI/Miracast stopped working

WIDI or Miracast stopped working properly after I got my screen replaced by Lenovo warranty repair.
Prior to the repair, I had no issues with connecting to my smart TV (samsung UN55F6400)
I got the latest drivers for the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and RTL8723AU wireless adapter, but still no go.
    What happens:
I can add a new device and mirror my screen, but after I disconnect, the next time I try to connect it says "Tap to fix the connection", then I have to set it up again as a new connection.
It used to work flawlessly before so not sure what changed.
Anyone else have any issues or successes?
If it works for you, can you post your driver versions for the graphics and wireless adapter?

Looks like Lenovo should fix your laptop under warranty in Turkey. According to the Lenovo Support website this model is covered in Turkey. If you haven't already done this, go here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/contactus
Select Laptops - Yoga Series (last option at the bottom) - Yoga 11s
You will get a page with multiple options, click on International Warranty Services in the middle of the page. When you scroll down you will see Turkey listed there. This list changes for each model and is how Lenovo determines if your specific product can be serviced in a particular market. My specific laptop model has no countries showing there other than USA, no international warranty.
I suggest you escalate it on the phone and go as high up as needed.

  • Airplay stopped working on ipad3

Hi airplay previously worked fine on my ipad 3 - streamed to my apple tv which is plugged in to the router.
Suddenly it has stopped working - I open airplay on the ipad, select apple tv , it pauses for a while then flicks back to ipad selected.
I've seen a post that says I shoud give different names to the 2.4 and 5 ghz ssids of my router - I'm looking into that, but it is not easy (isp modded the router and doesn't distribute any technical details / manual - good game!).  Any other suggestions?
    Thanks
Rebooting the router fixed this problem.

  • Media via Macbook Mirroring not working!

Up until now my Apple TV (Third Generation) has been working like a charm.
However, a problem arose today when I was using the mirrroring option on my 2012 Macbook Pro. Mirroring was working fine up until I tried to play any sort of media, whether it be a song on iTunes or a video online.
The video or audio in question would play for about two seconds (with no audio) and then stop playing all-together, for example the online video would stop at 2 seconds, and despite  the fact that the  video had buffered completely, would not play any further.
As soon as I stopped mirroring, the media worked absolutely fine on the computer, so it is definately a problem with the relationship with the Apple TV.
Previously this had all worked fine, so I am not sure why all of a sudden it has stopped working. All other aspects of the Apple TV are working fine.
Any suggestons/advice would be great thanks.

The problem resolved itself, the next morning it was working fine.
I assume this was a Wifi problem- our wifi is notoriously unstable.
    Thanks

  • Apple TV Airplay Just Stopped Working

Apple TV Airplay Just Stopped Working.  I have a second Apple TV that still works with the same connecting devices and no problems.  Running 10.8 on my macbook Retina, iphone 5 is up to date and ipad has latest.  One day I went to connect and it wouldn't show on my macbook as an available airplay.
So frustrating, I have reset, re-connected via wifi, turned airplay on and off, checked setting on my machine, made sure I am on the same wifi network... still nothing.

BTW, I should clarify, I am specifically having a problem mirroring.  Home sharing is on and all my library is there, just no mirroring.
