1) I have no warranty at all for my desktop at all since it was bought 6+ years ago!
2) After I would turn on the computer it would sometimes go and shut down/restart on it's own, for no reason at all or without warning!
3) It would freeze up on my and me and my family would have to restart the computer just to get it working again (to get it to unfreeze that it)!
4) Would show a plain black screen when not being used and when we would get on to use it, it would stay on the black screen and would have to shut the computer down completely cause i can't see my icons, the start bar or anything to restart it.

Hello guys,
I am busting my head to find out what is going wrong with this config and cant figure it out since i am not an advanced cisco technician.
Problem is that i cant access the 94.70.142.127 server that is supposed to be in a DMZ zone.
I know it is a bit chaotic but would really appreciate any help since i am running on a deadline.
I am building the config step by step and although it seems to be working access to the server all of the sudden is denied.
No idea if its a NAT issue a firewall issue or a security audit issue.
There are 3 vlans.
Vlan 1 is the inside network.
Vlan 2 is the DMZ server
Vlan 3 is the Management Network.

You said you are trying to access 94.70.142.113 and that is a server on the DMZ but based in your configuration that is not true

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight. Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know. If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

Upgrading to iPhoto '08 - what's going wrong with my iphoto Library

I would appreciate your advice/knowledge on this problem.
==> Short Description of my problem:
I can't recover the keywords associated with my pictures. I am asked to import my pictures although I choose to open my previous iPhoto Library after converting to iPhoto 08.
==> What I did:
1. I recently upgraded my mac to Leopard, and then to iPhoto'08. When opening for the 1st time iPhoto '08, I selected my iPhoto Library (as I held the option key while opening iPhoto).
2. I then get the message: “The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process may take several minutes depending on the number of photos in the library.” I clicked on the "Upgrade" button
3. My Mac then loaded/created ALL my previous albums and smart albums (including the most recent ones). It loaded pictures up to April 2005. BUT then, it prompted me with the following message : "5584 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that are not a part of this photo library. Would you like to import them?". I was surprised to get this message, as I read that the upgrade should run smoothly.
4. I made two tests, following this prompt. First, I answered "YES". I ended with a 24.5 GB iPhoto Library (instead of my previous 12.64 GB library). Then, while repeating steps 2&3, I answered No. I then decided to import manually my missing pictures, and ended up with a 14,4 GB (surprisingly, I got events called originals that contained same pictures than other created events). I have repeated the steps 2 to 4 from a new user account, but got the same results.
5. None of these solutions are satisfactory as I had assigned keywords to my 5000+ photo. What is going wrong? Here is the content of my iPhoto Library (before conversion), if this is of any help:

This sounds to me like your v5 library is corrupted.
Try using the rebuild command from iPhoto Library Manager to recreate the library - it won't get everything, but should get albums and keywords. Read the iPhoto Library Manager Help for more details.

Weird thing going on with Expose and Dock

Weird things have been going on with my Macbook Pro. It's been like this for several months and it's very annoying. What happened was that at some point during using computer, the dock and the expose will go on doing strange stuff together, for the dock, it's the magnification not working properly, when i move my mouse over any application icon, the magnification didn't come up, but if I click on it it will, however, after having clicked on the icon it will not doing the jump motion like it usually does, what it does is that it's going to stay being magnified, even if i point the mouse elsewhere. That's the dock. The problem with the expose is with the all window view, where when i turn it on everything seems to be normal, but if i move my mouse around, anywhere, each window that has been shown in the "all window" view will keep flashing until i dont move my mouse again. And that's the expose problem. Two other problems that occur along with the annoying issue mentioned earlier is that say when you click on the apple icon on the top, usually when you move down along there will be a blue stripe as a background to the words like "About this mac", "System preferences" etc, but when the problem occurs it will not do that. And if you have any window opened that has a scroll for horizontally, it'll keep forcing me to the right hand side of the bar, even if i drag it to the left it'll still go straight to the right hand side automatically. These are the problems that log-out-then-log-in won't resolve, needs to be restarted, i cannot work under this kind of situation, and it's getting really frustrating although i really like my mac still. I'm not sure when it started to do this, one time i thought maybe an application like p2p may disrupt the system so one time i only had calendar, itunes working still it happened again. I have a macbook pro A1226, has been updated to 10.5 and went through all the software update already... still... Does anyone have have the similar or maybe exact same problem as I do here? Please let me know. If you know how to fix it even better, I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

What is going wrong with my bufferstrategy?

I have implemented bufferstrategy into my game now and I am having some minor troubles. Sometimes when I start the game, everything works fine, but other times I just get a black screen where I can move the mouse. I don't know why it does this. Here is my implementation, is there anything wrong with it? :

Macbook Pro Headphone Jack, a very strange thing going on with it? help

Hello,
My Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2011 has had this very annoying small issue for over a year with the headphone jack. Sound only plays through the headphone jack as per normal when i restart the laptop, but once i remove the headphones and plug them back in sound isn't going through the headphone, it's going through the speakers as if headphones aren't plugged in, to have it working as normal i have to restart the laptop again.
Is this a hardware or software issue?
Please help me resolve this..

Since this is a brand new MBP under warranty, the best thing to do is to contact Apple and tell them about your difficulties. If you have access to an Apple Store, you might want to bring your Mac in and show them what it is doing. This does not sound at all normal, and it's very possible that you have hardware issues involved. If so, you should be eligible for a repair under warranty or possibly even a replacement if you are still in the first 2 weeks of ownership.

Something Wrong with desktop

Not sure if this is the right place but.. I have a problem with my desktop. It's a Mac Mini OS X 10.4.8 if that helps.
Today I just suddenly noticed how the stuff that used to be on my dock and desktop has reapeared behind all the new stuff. If that makes any sense at all. I can't pick up all the things that used to be there. and the old dock won't move. (the old icons are on the right).

The only thing different I did today was download Firefox.

Weird things going on with Iphone

I updated to the most recent software the other day, it may be coincidence but now strange things have started to occur. Now it automaticlally goes into voice and sometimes starts to call people, it also will not charge and the home button barely works, it is now completely dead and will not recharge.

so I have this really old laptop (hp dv2310 I think is the exact number) that I thought would be cool to throw arch on.

the problem of course is the awful freakin' driver the broadcom wireless card needs. Let me preface by saying I'm somewhat new to linux
ok, so, I found this post http://zeroincrement.wordpress.com/2009 … -linux-os/ and followed the directions to the end. it seemed like a good solution considering that was the driver that https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless said I needed.
But after I insmod wl.ko and blacklisted b43 and ssb (as per a notice I found after I makepkg) my wlan0 dissapeared from iwconfig..

Does anyone have experience with this card? please help me out. this whole thing is really getting me down lol. honestly I don't know where to go from here. I was already waaay over my head as it was lol, but it's a laptop...I can't be tethered down to a desk...i'd rather use my desktop.

Sorry, I was not clear. You have version 14 which is greater than 13, so you should be good to go.
Now, just:
change to a working directory of your choice. Then:

A million things going wrong at once...

This has been a day from ****, and I'm actually considering switching back to PC. First, a 5 page essay I had done for school got converted into random symbols and wouldn't switch back...even the saved version somehow got turned into symbols. Then I downloaded 10.4.11 and it messed up all of my settings, cancelled a few outstanding downloads I had on itunes, basically ruined my computer. I guess this is more of a rant than anything but...how to I fix my itunes? I keep getting this message about "iTunes Library" does not appear to be a valid iTunes Library.

I seem to be having a similar problem with my macbook, had it for about 5 months now, and just this weekend, not sure what i did, but it lost all my settings and seems to have reset most things back to default, and even when i try to change them back, power down and turn it back on, everthing is gone again. I've lost my itunes library, 700 songs, all my bookmarks and passwords, and every setting i set. any ideas?

Weird thing going on with fresh KDE install

It looks like I am getting X11 and KDE mixed up. Don't really know what I am looking at but I can't close these windows or do much with them. [GeForce 6] What goes wrong with my card ?

First of all, English isn't my mother language, so be indulgent with me.
I have a MSI NX600GT VTD128 and I've got a big problem with it. Each time the temperature of the GPU reaches 69-70°C, the system freezes (reset inevitable to restart). On the other hand, everything is fine under that critical T°.
