Mise à jour "Folio builder" plante InDesign CS6

Bonjour,

Cannot access Adobe Folio Builder using Indesign (CS6) on Windows 7, error message is 'An error has occured while trying to sign in to the Folio Builder Panel' [IMS_ERROR_FAILURE]

Yes, I can open the DPS portal via the Folio Builder panel within InDesign. Although I have created Folios locally within InDesign CS6, the DPS portal is empty and everthing greyed out with just the text "There are no folios to display. Create folios with the folio builder in InDesign".
If I try to sign in within the Folio Builder panel in InDesign, I get the error message [IMS_ERROR_FAILURE] . In addition I am also not able to access the "Help" menu from within InDesign although I am connected to the internet.
To complicate it even further, I am working in the UK whereas all internet control (firewall) and licences are handeled by head office in Germany. I am not sure if this is a firwewall issue or not but if the IT department in Germany could get support from Adobe to understand the access requirements, this may help.
Hopefully using the forum someone out there will know the answer.

  • Issues signing out of DPS Folio Builder in Indesign CS6?

Hi - I work on about 12 magazines with DPS and am pretty consistently getting a sign out error
seems minor but try it several times an hour, not so minor.
Unable to actually sign out of an account and into another via the Indesign Folio Builder pallette,
it seems to lock me into the magazine/account and no options to sign on to another. So what ends up
happening is quitting Indesign in order to switch accounts.
As we also use a publishing system it also means a lot of bureaucracy to get back into what
ought to be a simple switch. Is Adobe going to address  this type of 'power user' - aside from
the ability to have a master account for all our magazines? or at least to be signed in on
multiple accounts? or failing that the ability to have magzines nested or in folders. I can use
one sign on for our K4 system, could something similar be in the works for DPS?
I heard a rumour that the whole UI is going to be revamped away from Flash on the web
side, but what does this mean for the Indesign user, will the controls match? As a lead on
multiple projects and multiple teams something a bit more flexible would be welcome.

When you update InDesign CS6, do you see an option for updating the DPS Desktop Tools? You can manually update the DPS Desktop Tools here:

  • Problème pour se connecter depuis le folio builder dans indesign

comment faire  lorsqu'on n'arrive pas à se connecter depuis le folio builder dans indesign ?
je ne peux pas gérer mes folios, je ne peux pas les partager...
    Help please

Hi, i have got the same issue and everything i tried to fix it, was useless. AS the other guy, i can't connect to my folio builder from Indesign panel. I tried both way, directly with the link insde the pannel who inform me to click to logg in, and via the option under the button in the same panel.
I clic and then nothing happen. I spent 3 days on the forum, english and french, and this is no explanation. I uninstall and re-install, i made the update, etc..
    I'm still enable to connect.
So i can't publish my creation. It's suck, really.
The URL link you provided is about an update from March 2014. So i don't know if i'm the only one in this case but, the update is not fixing anything.
Do you have an ultimate solution please ?
    thx so much
    regards
    Esteban

  • Folio builder panel issues - CS6 - Mac

My folio builder panel is just blank. Not sure why. I use it once a month for a monthly issue of a magazine of sorts, and went to use it today and there is nothing visible. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Uninstall and re-install the Digital Publishing Suite Tools for CS6. If that doesn't resolve the issue, un-install and re-install InDesign CS6.

  • Missing the Folio Overlay in InDesign CS6 (Mac)

I just got the Folio builder only, and I can't make an updates under the window column, could anyone help this?

    Moved to DPS forum.
You have to run the updates after installing InDesign. Help>updates.
If they're not appearing you'll need to manually download the CS6 Desktop Tools from downloads.adobe.com.

  • Problems accessing Folio Builder in InDesign

There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I208
The first time I tried updating InDesign my connection got interrupted. Ever since, I keep getting this error when I try to update. I've tried almost everything listed in previous discussions, to no avail.
Anyone have a solution to this problem? Need it to use Folio builder!
    Thanks!

I'm trying to apply the update for the Folio Bulider in Adobe InDesign CS6. Since I posted this the update says it went through, but I still cannot use Folio Builder. When I go to check my updates, it says InDesign is up to date.
I'm currently running Mac OSX Version 10.6.8
And my current version of AAM is Version 7.0.0.62.

  • How do I get Folio builder on Indesign

I am working in digital publishing and I cannot access folio overlays. When I click folio builder it says that I need to update my software but everything is up to date. Also, I tried downloading Adobe digital publishing patch thinking that that would work but, while trying to download it is saying that it isn't applicable for me and to check for updates. Again, I have no updates. Can someone please help??

Try downloading the relevant patch for CS6 from below links:

  • Folio Builder with InDesign 5.5 trial

OK so apologies if this is stupid but here's a question:
We're trying to create a demo version of a DPS document to show our publisher to approve purchasing DPS. We currently have InDesign 5.5 installed and are working on a file with interactive elements (buttons, hyperlinks, etc.) built in. I would like to be able to export the .folio file to the content viewer so it can be viewed on the iPad during our presentation, but when I click on the Folio Builder window it says I still need to download the latest version. But when I download that and install it, I still get the same message on the Folio Builder window. So the question is, can I upload a .folio file that can be viewed with the Content Viewer on the iPad using the trial version, or do I need the full version of 5.5? And if not, then any idea why I would still be getting this message?
    Thanks.

Having the exact same problem. When I access the Folio Builder I get a message do download an update. I have downloaded and installed the update twice. I have uninstalled and re-installed InDesign 5.5 (I have a licensed version). Still get the message to downlaod the update.

  • Folio Builder panel in CS6 and CC (says update required) - can't install update (no Admin rights)

Hi. I've been running CS6 and the Folio Builder Panel keeps saying "DPS — A software update is required, go to the Help menu for Updates..." When I go to the Help section there are no updates. I recently moved to CC hoping the problem would fix itself but it hasn't. I downloaded the DPS Package update for both versions of the program — and I tried to install each one. Both give me error messages saying I don't have Admin rights. Adobe's tech support walked me through enabling Admin rights (although I should have had them already) and that didn't work.
Has anyone else had trouble installing the DPS update? I would like to actually use the DPS tools!
    Thanks

Hi Bob, I ended up having to uninstall CS6, then reinstall it — then for a separate Folio Builder log in issue, I followed another thread and removed the (Application Support/Adobe) OOBE folder. Functioning smoothly for now! Thanks for your suggestion.

  • Is there a way to add a finished .folio file to the Folio Builder in InDesign

I have some training files from Lynda.com and one of them is a finished .folio file. I wanted to upload that to view it on my iPad with Adobe Digitial Editions app, but I don't see an option to just upload a finished .folio file in the Folio Builder tab in InDesign. Do I have to create a new folio and then add each document to it article by article? It would be great to just upload the completed folio as it is. Thanks for any help!

Sorry, I meant Adobe Content Viewer and the similar iPad app. Thanks for the help though. I ended up creating a new .folio in InDesign and uploading each article one by one. It ended up working out, just a little time consuming.

  • Cant sign in via folio builder, try with cs6 and cc..any comments..thanks

Help im trying to sign in but nothing happens..the wheel keeps doing circles..

    Hi Kumar,
Could you provide me with some more information to help us narrow down the problem for you?
    - What build of the Folio Builder panel do you have installed?
When you open the panel, at the bottom there is some grey text that is the version. The latest version is 3.3.0.20110622_m_659505. This panel comes with version 1.1.1 of the Folio Producer tools.
    - Have you installed all the Adobe updates?
Under the Help menu of InDesign, there is an "Updates..." menu item. Run this and see if everything has been updated for InDesign
    - Are you able to sign into other extensions?
Open the CS Review panel (Window > Extensions > CS Review) and see if you are able to log in to that panel. When you are signed in, the CS Live menu in the upper right of InDesign will change icons and have have a filled in blue circle.
    Thanks,
    S

  • I cannot sign into Folio Builder in my CS6 download.

I had CS5.5 purchased and couldn't get the upgrade so I became a Creative Cloud member. Now i cannot access Folio Builder and try to update the CS6.0 but it won't let me log in to Folio Builder.

Moved to the Digital Publishing Suite forum. They will be able to help you here.

  • Download latest version of debug build of InDesign CS6 for development of plugins using SDK.

I can't find any information on this. Any pointers?

No one is likely to recommend where you buy your software from other than Adobe in these forums... not so much because of support for Adobe, but mostly because of lack of support/knowledge of any third party vendors.  I only know from experience that when you invest in bargain pricing you usually get what you pay for.
