Misleading advertising on Adobe's website?

Greetings all,
This probably isn't the place for writing a complaint, but after spending a couple of hours trying to leave feedback on Adobe's feedback page, I ran out of patience and decided to post here.
On Adobe's "How to buy" page, you'll find the following:
Online Stores
Worldwide delivery for all Adobe products, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Well, today I tried to purchase Lightroom 4, and after 5 failed attempts and a chat with Steven from Adobe, I found out that I can't buy from Chile because Chile doesn't have an online store. Since when do you need an online store per country to be able to buy online? Isn't that the whole purpose of the buy online/digital delivery thing? I've bought a whole lot of software online, from indie developers to big corps, and this is the first time I've ran into this problem. Any solution, other than having to buy a physical copy from a brick and mortar store and paying extra for a box and a DVD that I don't need?

I am writing to let you Mac users know that the current marketing for Acrobat Pro is very confusing.

It outlines all the cool things that Extended can do. I had seen some publicity for Extended and so I immediately clicked that button to find out more about this version. It is a very compelling product that has a presentation application, 3D capabilities, and the form creation product Live Cycle Designer.
I was very excited about this product, when I was lucky to have checked the System Requirements for this product. And was amazed to find that this product is Windows only!
It is one thing to shove the Mac market off to the side as Acrobat has in the past. For instance, in the past, Acrobat products have provided features for Windows that were missing on the Mac.
But the current advertising borders on misleading advertising. Rather than just hide the Windows -only features under the same name as the Macintosh product, Adobe has come out with a Windows-only product that doesn't clearly state it is Windows only!
To publicize a product on a page that is cross platform and then make it very hard to find out that the product is Windows only is terrible. And I guarantee that this will lead to many people ordering something they can not use. And will be very angry about!
I have written to several people I know at Adobe to complain about this.
I would suggest that others use the Adobe-feedback page:

to tell Adobe how this makes you feel.
Meanwhile, I'm glad that I won't have to shell out the extra money for this Windows-only product.

Acrobat 9 extended is just the new name for Acrobat 3D. Alas it has
always been Windows only. I agree that they could make it more obvious
that it is Windows only. I guess some in the Marketing department, may
not realize that anyone still uses a Mac ;-)

Deliberately misleading advertising from Nokia reg...

I believe that Nokia is using false and misleading advertising to lure people into buying their products. On their website, and on the box of the N8 phone, they say: "Unlimited music downloads for 6 months included" and "Get unlimited music downloads from millions of free songs on Ovi with this Nokia mobile. Everything you download you keep"... Their small print on the box does say "Use of the service is subject to the terms and conditions of music.nokia.co.za/cwm terms&conditions", but THAT link is nor valid, and results in an error message. Their small print further states: "License to use this service is non-transferable, and only for your personal, non-commercial use".
Nowhere do they say that this music may only be played from one computer, or that it cannot be copied to CD or memory stick for playing in your car. Saying the license is "non-transferable" only means (to me...) that I cannot later transfer the license to somebody else.
I made the decision to buy this Nokia N8 partially because of this free music download "feature", but they obviously caught me with a scam
I normally pride myself in not being easily fooled, and really resent this - especially since I trusted Nokia on their written words (advert). I am seriously considering taking legal action against them, but even if I do not, I will certainly never buy another Nokia phone (not having the best software, or a phone with an antenna in the wrong place, is one thing - lying to and deceiving your customers is quite another!)

Help: Photoshop CS4, Opens Adobe Help Website Automatically. Stuck in a loop.

Hello there!
I am having an issue with Adobe Photoshop CS4 (part of Creative Suite Web edition). Any action, including switching to the Photoshop windows automatically swaps out to Firefox and opens the Adobe help website.
My current action was converting a pentool path to a selection when the problem began.
I'm using Windows 7 on a PC. Any help on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there and thank you for responding. :-)
I chose poor wording. I wasn't using a predefined action when the problem started. I used the pen tool to create a path and then right clicked to open the drop down, selected make selection and the error occured when the make selection dialogue box opened.
The Adobe help site then opened in Firefox. Returning to Photoshop, even just by alt-tab swapping back resulted in the help site opening again.
Ultimaty, I didn't find a solution, and used the task manager to force Photoshop to quit/crash.
I've had the error pop up once or twice before, but it is infrequent. I'd just like to try to find a preventitive method or solution, as so far, any time it's started, the only thing I can do is force Photoshop to quit completely.
I'm very sorry that I can't provide screenshots, but I hope that the explaination and additional system informaion might help.

Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet and Grip Pen Stylus. (The standard pen which is included with the tablet.)

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, 64 Bit

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.

Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

aztlanny, thanks for the advice. Sadly, that does not work with what Im trying to accomplish. The Facebook 'EVENTS' somehow is different from the activity or LIKEs feed.... which can be accomplished. I have seen this work in word press, but lately even those set ups are starting to break down. I'm starting to think facebook developement team doesnt like external website usage of things they would rather see grow their numbers versus being useful to people in a real way(but doesnt boost the facebook brand/image)..... I'm hoping some coder could figure it out, and show me...... I've used the facebook SDK jumped through their hoops to create an App ID and App secret about umpteeen attempts: no luck! maybe I'm just missing something!!!???

Adobe muse websites will not work

For some reason adobe muse websites published to osx server do not work, I am wondering if anyone else has had any trouble.

Acrobat has connected itself to some of my downloads, and will not allow me to open them, because it says it is has stoped working.

Adobe need to change their website to correct various untruths. Another lie: just now their website also indicated that agents were 'now' free to chat only for it to transpire that I was 16th in the queue! What a shower.

Paul, you are right. I've got a school board that I had to twist arms to get Adobe Cloud service. Once I got it, the support has been atrocious. First, the billing was all screwed up - which pissed off our business lady. The first month they got right by not charging us tax because we're a school, then the next month they screwed up and added the tax to the bill. When I went through the website to find support (notice that there is no separate billing number to reach), I couldn't get anything out of the numbers except an endless phone tree. You'd think Adobe would put a billing number on their invoices. But noooo.
I tried chat and the chat wait line was worse yet. It said "you have 11 people in front of you" type thing. I checked back and it said "you now have 13 people in front of you". The number of "people" in chat went UP!! I thought WHAT??? There's cutting in line in cyberworld???? I was doing this chat while teaching my Adobe class so I put it up on the wall screen for the whole class to see it. By that time, the chat said "you have 15 people in front of you"...we all laughed. Adobe is a joke. Adobe's website functionality must have been planned using Obama's web team. Finally, after watching it go down we got on chat. They did give me a different number from what is on the "support" page, but when I got through, I got some east indian gal that had no English talking classes at all. I had to repeat my email 4 times to her before she even got close to what it actually was. I was using a landline telephone too. I finally hung up with her and tried again. I got another east indian, but this guy was a tad bit better and we were able to communicate. Adobe, get your act together. You'll lose us as a customer. You still haven't corrected our billing by the way. It's been 2 months.

Downloading CS6 on Adobe Licensing Website

Does anyone know when CS6 Master Collection will be available for download on the Adobe Licensing Website? We are a school and download all of our purchased software from there. We have a extended paid subscription which includes free upgrades as long as its within our purchasing timeframe. I have checked all over and do not see it anywhere on the ALW. They only have CS 5.5 as the latest.
