Mismatch between IAK file and module

Is there any way to programatically check that the configuration of the modules in the
IAK-file matches the hardware configuration of the actual modules ?
We see, especially for the old FieldPoint modules (non Compact), that
a seldom time, it pops up an error that is caused by a mismatch between these two settings,
even though nothing has been changed by the users.
PS: I am not using the modules as Real-time modules.

Try to generate XSD for your standard IDoc using we60.
Define it in your console.

As far as I can tell, when generating PdfA-1b files I am completely compliant with the spec. Yet when I try to preflight verify my output I get the following error: "Subject mismatch between Document Info and XMP metadata".

You have a disconnect with regard to how Document Info fields are to be mapped to XMP Dublin Core (dc) data fields:
- Document Info Subject -> dc:description
[nobody claims this is intuitive, but it is indeed specified reasonably well]]
The following is not required in your case, but for your info I include it anyway:
- Document Info Keywords -> dc:subject
Your best source for this is the actual PDF/A-1 standard (ISO 19005-1, can be purchased form www.iso.org).
A very good companion for such type of topics are the TechNotes from the PDF/A Competence Center (see www.pdfa.org), downloadable free of charge.

Difference between .war file and .ear file

what is the difference between .war file and .ear file ?
Please let me know with appropriate explanation.

War file means web application archive. It is archived file having a collection of JSP, servlets and static pages that together costitute a web application. It contains one WEB-INF directory which will have a file named web.xml which defines the structure of the web application.
On the other side EAR file is Enterprise application archive. It is file having packaged content of one or more modules into a single archive so that the deployment of all the modules can be done simultaneously on the application server. It also contains XML files called deployment descriptors which gives the details of the deployment method. This deployment descriptor will be present in the folder META-INF folder.
So the main difference betwwen the two is that Ear file is having collection of various modules to be deployed on the application server while the WAR file is used to deploy the web applications.

Can any one help me to know why I am getting this error message.
Here I am giving the steps carried out.
Step1. Using transaction code: FB60 I have posted a vendor invoice to a Machinery account GL account against a internal order.
Step2. A down payment using transaction code FBA7. using a special indicator M to a bank account.
Step3. When I am trying to clear the open item (by selecting above both documents) for the vendor using transaction F-44 system is giving an error message u201CThere is a mismatch between order type and GL accountu201D. System is prompting to correct the down payment entry, where I dint use any Cost centre, internal order.
Checked the Internal order profile, AUC settlement profile etc and no able to find an error message.
Can any one explain me why this error is coming and what need to be check in order to rectify it.

Hi It looks that the field status of the Order Type and GL Account field status is being mistmatching with each other. You can check the field status group given on GL Account and the fields status in Order Type.

SSRS 2012 ERROR [IM014] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application

I have a SSRS installation, I have deployed my connections to, but they fail with title message. The drivers and ODBC on the box are setup and work fine with 32 bit ODBC conn manager.
When I run or configure my connections on the site, via the browser, I get errors connecting.
I tried to find which app pool http://server/ReportServer application used, but I am not finding that, so my first ?
How do I find in IIS what app pool SSRS application is using?
I have 2008 server, running SQL 2012 V.S. 2010 and I think I need to enable my app pool to use 32 bit, but cannot figure out which one it uses? I see default set to 32 bit = true, which I thought would be it.
Can I set my SSRS project to use x86, platform? Like I did with SSIS?
If so, how? SSRS and SQL 2012 somewhat new for me. Thanks

To manage a data source that connects to a 32-bit driver under 64-bit platform, we use C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. To manage a data source that connects to a 64-bit driver, we use C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe.
Generally, if we use the 64-bit odbcad32.exe (C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe) to configure or remove a DSN that connects to a 32-bit driver, for example, Driver do Microsoft Access (*.mdb), we will receive the following error message:
The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
To resolve this error, we need to use the 32-bit odbcad32.exe (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbacad32.exe) to configure or remove the DSN.
Besides, please make sure there are no DSN using the same name in both 64-bit and 32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator.

I am having trouble establishing file association between .PDF files and Adobe Reader. When I click on a .PDF file, Adobe Reader does not open the file. I installed Adobe Reader on a Lenovo G480 laptop using Windows 8. When I attempted to open a file called I believe G480_user_guide.PDF, a file called something like Nitro_PDF opened. When I right clicked G480_user_guide.PDF and chose Open With, I found that Nitro_PDF was the default program for opening the file. I tried to change to another program but found that Adobe Reader was not listed. I chose the option for searching the computer for a file to open. I found the folder Adobe in Program Files x64 but I was not able to find an executable. Where is the Adobe Reader executable or what other method can I use for establishing file association between .PDF files and Adobe Reader.

Yes, I have now learned how to make a search with the Google search engine. I am gradually learning how to use my new Lenovo laptop computer with Windows 8. I learned yesterday that I can make a search with the Google search engine if I enter the search query in the address bar of the Google Chrome browser. I think it was the Bing search engine that gave me the sites advertising Adobe Reader download but actually provided the download of a reader other than Adobe.
In my opinion, Windows 8 is significantly different from Windows 7 and that it has hazards and pitfalls.

As its said by many colleagues in SDN , there are not very major differences between Modulepools and screen painter .
The few differences are :
1) Module pool is nothing but a pool ( series ) of screens . and Screen painter ( SE51 ) is a tool used for creating/designing screens .
2) While creating a modulepool you even need to create a transaction and assign this module pool program else the mpool program doesnt work . I think this is place we can say they are different .
3) If at all you create a screen in screen painter ( SE51 ) , that doesnot function by its own , you need to assign it to any of the executable programs or modulepool programs .Here is again a difference .

Architecture mismatch between ODBC driver and application

Hi,
I have Windows 2008 server R2 OS which is 64 bit OS. I have created an SQL Server ODBC connections for my CMC database. I am trying to install Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 SP3 but I am getting this "architecture mismatch between ODBC driver and application" error while choosing the ODBC datasource for CMS.
I thought CRS 2008 version would easly be installed on Windows 2008 server as it mentioned on the installation guide.
How do I resolve this issue?

CRS 2008 is a 32 bit app so all attachments, Printers, DB clients, etc. must all be 32 bit or support 32 bit applications.
Use the 32 ODBC administrator in \windows\syswow64 folder.

Difference between image file and .bin file

I want to know whats the difference between img and bin file and which is better

Functionally and generically, they are the same thing for devices like routers and switches and firewalls ...
Some "images" consist of more than one binary file ... like code for specific blades or modules (like a radio module on an AP).
In most cases, it's just a naming convention and they are the same.
For some systems, like computers, a binary file is an executable ... it gets loaded into some flavor of memory, usually RAM, and the instructions are executed. During the initial load, some code is typically executed to initialize the various sub-systems. All of this initialization takes time (think about booting a desktop or laptop computer from power-on to "ready-to-go").
One way to speed things up a little is to save the initialized environment as an "image" or snapshot of the "ready-to-go" state of the device.
Once the snapshot is saved, it can be loaded directly into a block of memory without the need of all of the initialization code or interpretation of the binary code. This tends to make things "boot" faster. As long as the system's hardware configuration hasn't changed since the snapshot / image was taken, it should be exactly as if the device was never turned off. Some desktop and laptops have a "hibernate" mode .. everything is powered down, but it boots up as fast as the snapshot image can be pushed into the memory from the hard drive.

Jump between PNG file and Mov file

We are creating an iPad application, in it we bring 3 different elements to screen using a MP4 video clip, once the movie ends, we load a PNG file and have each of the 3 elements as different touch points. When you click 1 element it opens a related MP4 video clip. Therefore, 3 items open 3 different video clips. The problem is when you touch one of the elements, there is a JUMP between the PNG file and the Video clip (the video player loading time). What can we do to fix this issue so the applicaiton will run seamless without a JUMP.

Ravi, is there a possible when you added the png to your primary storyline, you accidentally chose the non option in the spatial conform settings?
If your image is larger than your timeline frame size, what will happen is if you choose the none option, the image will be added at full frame and centered.
What you need to do is before adding your png's to your timeline, hilight the png and in the inspector make sure FIT is selected.

Difference between .mov files and .dv files?

I am normally a FCP 4.5 user but I just got the new Macbook Pro and need to capture some footage this weekend using iMovie. Is there any difference between the .mov files we capture with FCP and the .dv files captured with iMovie as far as compression or quality?

so,you CAN NOT convert .dv to fcp - right? or .mov to fcp?- right
Here is my experience with iMovie, .dv files and
FCP.
iMovie can be useful, because it breaks DV clips up,
and handles time code breaks - by ignoring them!
I had canon camera, which if I captured with FCP, the
audio would drift over the hour capture - it was over
a second out by the end of the tape, so I used iMovie
instead.
Dropping .dv files into DV FCP sequences does not
require a video render or transcode - the original
image quality is maintained, but will require an
audio render to stop the audio 'beeping' during play
back - it seems an arbitrary limitation to me, you
can scrub audio over a .dv clip in a sequence, and
you can play audio when the .dv file is in the
viewer, but not from a sequence.
Then - it gets more annoying - every edit you do,
typically requires a re-render of the audio, if you
don't want the beeping, but there are two tricks
that can help: 1) make a sequence for each .dv clip,
unedited, render the audio in that sequence, then
edit that into the master sequence, or 2) use
'extract audio' in iMovie, then find the .aiff in the
Media folder, and replace the .dv sourced audio with
that in the FCP timeline.
There is no re-capture, as Shane says, you have to
stay on disc forever, or risk having to tweak and
re-trim your project, if you hope iMovie will create
the same files on a future capture - I have never
tested that, my guess would be no.
Most of the folks on the board will dismiss such a
workflow - and with good cause - but its not totally
useless, in certain circumstances.
I have not tried this with the iMovie in iLife '06 -
so your mileage may vary. Ideally, the beeping audio
from .dv would be fixed in FCP - I understand it is
harder to extract and play from a .dv file, but we
have fairly powerful machines, these days, and,
iMovie seems to manage just fine

and after my first 'home movie editing appliance'
(also known as an iMac G3) I started to do less and
less on PC's, and have not tried to edit video on one
since.
