Mismatch calendar names in Outlook to device.

I have a new BB Style with Sprint, previously had a Curve on Tmobile.
On my first sync of calendar, contacts, memos, and tasks, I did not realize that my @sprint.blackberry.net email account was not configured properly. Outlook defaulted to naming the calendar "DEFAULT".
The problem being that once I resent the service books to restore email functionality to the above email address, now Outlook doesn't find "DEFAULT" any more, it finds the calendar now named [email protected] and wants to create duplicate entries in Outlook when I initiate a sync.
The exact sync error reads:
The default service for you devices calendar has changed from default to [email protected]
Click Yes to continue using your original default service from the last time you synced.
Click No use your new default service and combine your data which might duplicate some entries.
Click Cancel to stop the sync and revisit you default service opins.
So far I have disallowed the sync for fear of either losing my calendars or duplicating all the entries.
Basically, I need to get my Outlook calendar to have the same name as the Device calendar.

  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

  • Any way start over from scratch to fix iCloud calendar issues in Outlook 2010?

I'm suddenly having perplexing iCloud calendar issues in Outlook.  Forget the hundreds and hundreds of duplicate entries for birthdays and holidays, and the thousands of duplicate contacts - I've just been manually deleting them from Outlook.  I also tried manually deleted iCloud files from iCloud on outlook, but this does not seem to affect what is on iCloud itself.  I've now got an issue where if I add an appointment on my iPhone, it appears on Icloud but not in Outlook 2010 even though the iPhone calendar is displayed in Outlook. iPad appointments show up on iPhone, iCloud and Outlook.  iCloud entered appointments show up on iPhone, and iPad and Outlook.  Of course it is maddening that there is a separate calendar for each (there is only one of me, so why a separate calendar in Outlook  for every source is beyond me).  How can I get my iPhone to start showing up again in Outlook?  Another issue is that now every time I click on calendar in Outlook, it takes 2-3 minutes to display the calendar because iCloud seems to be syncing. I'm assuming this is because there a so many duplicates.  I've removed Icloud from Outlook. Ran a repair on Outlook.  Uninstalled iCloud. Reinstalled.  Re-added to outlook., but the issue is never fixed.  I'm considering make a brand new Apple ID and abandoning my current one, but that means I have to change my iPad, iCloud, iPhone, family iPhones, Outlook, readd credit card, reload all of the data.  That's a pain.  I sure would be nice to have a simple way of editing the iCloud data and adding devices (and having a more descriptive source name would be even better).

I found sync options under "info"
I was looking to sync the information from the phone back into outlook, It looks like these options will sync what is on outlook into the phone..
I wanted to export from the phone (which has all of the old appointments and updated contacts) , back into outlook
    Any other thoughts?

  • How can I sync up the calendar from Microsoft Outlook email with my ipad 2?

How can I sync up my calendar from Microsoft Outlook with my ipad 2? Or do I have to enter in all of the dates individually?

When the iPad is connected to your computer's iTunes, then on the device's Info tab you should be able to select where to sycn a calendar from - from the iPad manual :
You can sync calendars from applications such as iCal on a Mac, or from Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync calendars with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync calendars with only one application at a time.)

  • Multiple email calendars sync with Outlook 2007

I have synced my Outlook 2007 calendar successfully in both directions with my BB Torch 9800 for ages (version 6 Bundle 2921, Desktop V 7.1).  The calendar on the BB automatically named itself 'Default".
However, the minute I added a number of email addresses to my BB (to receive email messages on my phone, rather than waiting until I log on to my computer), the sync will only work in one direction - from Outlook to BB, not vice-versa.  I note that each email address sets up its own calendar.
When I enter a new appointment on the BB, it goes into the calendar for the first email I added.  This calendar does not sync with my Outlook and there is no 'default' calendar option to 'pull down' on the BB when I enter a new appointment.
I have spent a huge amount of time on this including wiping BB and starting again, and looking at as many websites as possible for help.  All to no avail.
    Can any one help please?

    Hello Ljo,
Thank you for your question regarding synchronizing your BlackBerry smartphone Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.
Which BlackBerry model and version of BlackBerry Device Software are you running on it? http://bbry.lv/iubM23
When more than one calendar exists on your BlackBerry smartphone, one calendar is set as the default. To confirm which calendar is set to default, click the Options icon from the Home screen and select Advanced Options > Default Services.
Note: For BlackBerry 6, click the Options icon and select Device > Advanced System Settings > Default Services.
Make sure that the default Calendar is the one that you are adding the new entries on.
If this is the case, please contact your mobile service provider and request that they contact BlackBerry on your behalf.
    Thank you.

I would try deleting the intellisync folder and then trying to sync again. This may or may not help. Below are the instructions:
Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
Disconnect the BlackBerry device from the computer.
Double Click on My Computer> Local Disk (c>Documents and Settings>(username)>Application Data>Research In Motion>Blackberry>Intellisync
Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools>Folder Options at the top of the screen.
Click the View Tab, then click on Show Hidden Files and Folders.
Click Apply>Ok and continue through the remaining steps.
Delete everything within the Intellisync folder.
Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager and attempt sync the device with the computer.

Having read through all the articles there is no definitive answer for this problem.

Everyone running Outlook 2007 or below is absolutely fine. Both internally and externally.
I would be very grateful if someone could either:
    1) Provide a resolution to this error.  All articles i am reading, even ones assigned as solutions, provide no insight as to the root cause and a clear resolution.
    2) Admit to an issue within Outlook 2010 and advise on possibility of future solution.
I look forward to any insight on this.  Let's be careful out there ;-)

    Hi,
According to your narration, first, please make sure this client can resolve the AAM name of the SharePoint server, in addition, make sure the user has enough permission on the list.
You can use fiddler and netmon together to trace this issue.
Finally, check out the following thread which may help you:

My husband registered an iphone in his name and have given it to me. I have an Ipad registered in my name.  How can I change the Iphone from his apple id to my name and sync both devices.

You can create up to 3 alias addresses but you have to do this on icloud.com from your computer browser.  This article explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.  Also, incoming email to an alias address will go to your current iCloud inbox so it really isn't a separate account; just a different email address for the same account.
Each iCloud account only has a single iCloud email account.  If you really want to set up another, you would need to add a secondary iCloud account by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud, then entering a different Apple ID to create the account.  You can then turn on Mail to create the new account.  Mail in secondary accounts, however, is fetch email, not push (which is only supported in the primary account).

I have downloaded the latest version of icloud control panel to a PC with Windows 7. My "master" data is always on my PC. With other synch software I always select "One Way Outlook to Device". I synched icloud with Outlook and it has trashed my Outlook with duplicate contacts. Is there a solution. Is there selective synchronisation available?

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook.  If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again.  (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

  • Calendar duplicates with Outlook 2007 Update

I installed the "Outlook 2007 Update (Windows installer) for Palm OS" and it works fine except for one issue. If I Dismiss a Reminder for a calendar entry in Outlook, or if I Clear an Alert for a calendar entry on the Palm device, the calendar entry will be duplicated when I sync (Conflict Case: Duplicate).  Before I installed this update the fact that you Dismissed a Reminder or Cleared a Alert would not flag calendar an entry as having been changed, so I would rarely have to clean up duplicates after syncing.  Now I have to sync 2-3 times to deal with the duplicates, which besides being a pain can be a real problem when I'm running out the door trying to make it to an appointment.
I know that I could change the Conflict Resolution setting to Outlook Wins, Handheld Wins, or Ignore, but when I have made a more significant change (e.g. to the subject, start/end time, contents) to both the calendar entry in Outlook and the entry on the handheld I DO want to preserve them both so that I can merge the changes together.
Also, when I delete something on the handheld and Dismiss a Reminder for the same calendar entry in Outlook, the entry is recreated on the handheld.  Then I have to find it and delete it again.  This is getting real old.
I have searched for this issue on this site and via Google, and found no mention of it.  I also went through the Hotsync Troubleshooting post, but that seems more oriented towards more serious issues like Hotsync not working at all, or not being able to find the synced data.
I have a Treo 700p, running Outlook 2007 under Windows XP Pro.
    Thanks!
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Verizon)

I was unable to replicate this issue so my suggestion would be to make sure the Data is correct in Outlook and then change the conduits to Desktop overwrites handheld for one sync and see if the problem continues. Otherwise a hard reset and clean uninstall of the palm software would be where I went next.

    Hi
I just received this email from google regarding the use of google calendar sync software for microsoft outlook:
Important Announcement about Google Calendar Sync
Almost two years ago, we announced that we had ended support for Google Calendar Sync.
    Starting on
1 August 2014, this app will no longer sync events between your Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
You can continue to access all of your Google Calendar events at

I need to be able to sync my google calendars to outlook as I use an android phone and use Outlook at my workplace. Does anyone know how to keep on syncing between these two devices?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Do you have an Gmail account configured in Outlook used for mail, contact and calendar managing?
The announcement indicates the Google Calendar Sync can’t be used to sync your Outlook calendar (and contacts) with Gmail. If you don't use Gmail for email but need to sync Outlook Calendar with a smartphone, we can consider to user Outlook.com account to
sync calendar. Here is an reference about sync calendar and contacts using Outlook.com:

  • Desktop Software sync'ing non-default calendar entries to Outlook

I just upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9810.  I have two email accounts set up on it - my personal one and my work one (BIS) - just as I did on the Curve.  My personal one is the default in the Default Services.  I sync my BB to Outlook on my personal PC using the Desktop Software.  On the Curve when I did the sync, it only updated calendar entries associated to my personal email account (the default) to Outlook.  Everything I can find online indicates that that is the way it is supposed to work, and that is the way I want it to work.  I don't want my work appointments on the BB to be added to my personal Outlook calendar.  On this new Torch, though, it is sync'ing the appointments associated to my non-default work email to Outlook.  I tried changing the default service to my work email to see what would happen, but it still tried to sync the same set of (work) calendar entries.  I also tried clearing the calendar completely and resync'ing, but that didn't fix the problem.  Does anyone know why it is sync'ing the non-default calendar entries to Outlook and how to get it to stop?  Thanks!

Hello agiledogs and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you are having difficulties synchronizing your Calendar on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone.
Just to be sure, if you go to Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services, your personal email account is listed as the default? (as this default is what is used to do the synchronize).
In the appointments that are not synchronizing over, does it say what service was used when creating it?
Does your Microsoft® Outlook® Calendar have the correct entries and you want to add them to your phone or does your phone have the correct Calendar entries and you want these to your Outlook®?
Let me know what the entries say.

I have a personal email calendar kept on Outlook 2010, I also have an Exchange calender on Outlook.  I want to sync both calendars with my Iphone 5 / 6.1.2  but ITunes only sees the exchange calendar.
How can I get Itunes to see both calendars?

    Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
If you hit a snag talk back to me.
    Cheers.
