Mismatch in connection between session and cmpentity beans

Hello everybody,
I have a adopted JSP----SessionBeans------CMPEntityBeans------Database
(MVC2).
I have findByIdandPasswd(String id,String passwd) method in Entity's LocalTurbineUserHome its return type is Collection.
This method is called in my session's bussiness method testuser() with a variable.
'user' as Collection type to hold return value.
And LocalTurbineUserHome turbine is declared.
ie Collection user=null;
user=Turbine.findByIdandPasswd(id,passwd)
Problem is when i compile session beans i get
/usr/local/project/pragatiejb/src/Common/CommonBean.java:21: incompatible types
found : ejb1.LocalTurbineUser
required: java.util.Collection
user=turbineUserHome.findByIdandPasswd(id,passwd);
^

Well both 'user' and findByIdandPasswd() funtion's return type is same .., but still it says And why LocalTurbineUser is in picture?
Could anybody tell what could be the problem..,!

Could you guys solve this error? I am facing similar issue while querying Essbase cube through OBIEE.

I created an initialization variable using the essbase cube which works fine in the offline mode but throws error when the respository is offline. Error Msg is
[NQODBC] [SQL_STATE:HY000][nQSError:10058] A General error has occurred
[nQSError:43093] An error occurred while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL statement
