The PIN and PUK codes are usually found on the card that the SIM came attached to. In any case you need a SIM that has not been locked with a PIN in order to activate the phone. So you need to contact the carrier. It is not an iPhone issue.

Hi all,
I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.

Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer. You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!

How do i get past "waiting for activation" on iphone 3 ?!?!

i've been trying since last night to get it working. my cousin gave me her old iphone 3 to use as an itouch and i am trying to get imessage to work, but it won't stop saying "waiting for activation". i've tried everything, i've tried veryfying my email multiple times, turning it on and off, using a different email, made an icloud email. please help :/

You need to have a SIM in the phone to activate it. The SIM does not need to be one that is currently active.

I just restored my iphone5 (iOS6.1) & when it finaly finished restoring I noticed that imessage and Facetime was stuck on 'waiting for activation' I restored it again and again. I also tried restoring network settings & nothing helped. is there any other solutions? please help me! nothing is the same without iMessage or Facetime. please & thankyou(:

Even if you are just using it as essentially an iPod Touch, you need a SIM in it to activate it in iTunes (note this has nothing to do with cellular service, this is simply about activating the device in iTunes so you can sync, update and so on).
The good news, is any microSIM should work - it just has to have one in the slot to complete the iTunes activation, and once activated, you can take the SIM back out.

Check Settings>FaceTime>On and Settings>General>Restrictions>FaceTime>ON. On the 4 & 4S FaceTime is accessed through contacts. Go into your Contacts, access the contact you want to FaceTime with and you will see a tab at the bottom of their contact card. You can also access FaceTime by going into your Phone app, select dialling keypad, dial number, press call and an option for FaceTime on the keypad will appear. It should be noted that FaceTime has been removed from iPhones sold in some Middle Eastern countries at the express wish of the respective Governments. No apology necessary. Now I understand your question, but I may not have an exact answer (someone else might though).
If I recall correctly, a credit check for you to have an account with AT&T is done during the activation process within iTunes by you providing your SSN.
Because no dollars are going to be exchanged between you and Apple (unless you want to purchase something from the store of course), I don't see why it wouldn't work.
But the key issue here is what they mean when they say "valid". Does a valid account mean a valid email address, or an email address and card or Paypal account on file?

What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
school or company network?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.

When I am going for activation its saying that no SIM card is inserted, but I have already Ufone SIM card is inserted. I checked it with other SIM card like Zong etc but the response was same i.e; no SIM card is inserted. It not catching the signals. I am trying to use my wifi to activate my iphone but it iss not processing then i used itunes to activate by it's again saying that no sim card is detected.

Well, if you did it yourself, then there is a chance that you damaged some other component inside the device that is causing your issue. The iPhone's are not user serviceable, and once you have opened the device you have voided any warranty and post-warranty support from Apple. I would try Google to see if you can find any other way to repair your device, as Apple will no longer look at it.
