Missed elements

Why does acrobat X sometimes miss out elements when I print from a word 2010 document. I have just printed a document for a client and there are whole text boxes missing from the pdf file. Anyone else have this experience? How do I get it to print the full doc....? Neil

Just to clarify (as I am not sure of your cases mentioned), there are several ways to create a PDF from WORD. There is the PDF plugin from MS (not Adobe). You can print from the print menu to the Adobe PDF printer. The rest of the options use PDF Maker that is the Acrobat menu in WORD. You can use the Acrobat menu and check the preferences there -- sure don't remember one like you are getting), use File>Save As>Adobe PDF, or create the PDF in Acrobat. The latter has some conversion options in the Acrobat preferences.
The MS plug-in would be a good check. If it is doing the same thing as the Acrobat products, then it is likely a setting in WORD, possibly with the particular text boxes in the file you have. That is getting more into WORD than I feel good with -- it is not my main word processor, though I do use it.
You might also try copying the information from the WORD file to a new file and see if that does the job. There may be some visual basic in the file that is preventing the print of those text boxes. In any case, I would play with a copy of the file and see if you can change things a bit, like copy the text out of the box, delete the box, and recreate it your self with the copied text. You might be getting the feeling that I think the problem is with WORD and you are right, though I am not close-minded to the extent that would not accept it ultimately being an Acrobat problem. As you are finding, it is really a matter of tracing down where the problem is. As I suggested have you tried printing to paper or other media option as given in the print menu. To print directly, use the print menu in WORD, not Acrobat. The latter uses PDF Maker and not the printer.
Since you are talking about WORD 2010, I assume you are using AA X. If you have not updated your AA X, I would suggest that also to see if it was a bug in an earlier version.

Sounds like you may have moved the RMX library folder?
Is RMX fully updated (for Lion)?
Check your hard drives for a file called SAGE:
It (or an alias of it) is normally found in the <USER>:Library:Application Support:Spectrasonics.
Note that on Lion, the <User> Library is 'hidden'... quickest way to get there is to hold down Option (Alt) whilst using the Finder:Go menu

Default insertion for missing elements using DBMS_XMLSave.insertXML

I am trying to insert default values for some columns, without having those column names as elements in the xml document. Is it possible to do so?? This is the code I am using for now, but it inserts null values for missing elements in the xml document.

Only thing I noticed with dbms_xmlstore.insertXML, was when my xml document had "<?xml version = "1.0" ?>" at the start, it gave an error "LPX-00209: PI names starting with XML are reserved"That's probably due to the XML document not starting exactly with "<", like this :

With the dbms_xmlsave.inserXML, [...] it wont insert the default column values.Now that's strange...
I understand there could be differences in the parsing implementation, but in the end both processes must issue an INSERT into the target table using plain SQL, so I really wonder why default values are not applied.
I'll try to reproduce when I have access to a Java-enabled db.

Cannot open CS5.1, says to reinstall because of missing elements

If there are missing elements, then reinstalling sound like a good idea.

I downloaded a trial of Dreamweaver CS6 CC - Missing Elements

The search bar which should be located at the top right-hand side of page is missing, so are the predefined workspaces such as 'classic' and 'developer'. I have just started hosting & developing and was thinking i would invest in the entire CS6 suite although this has been a bit of an issue. Adobe support chat told me they could only help me once i purchase the suite, although i am not going to do that until I can figure out of this issue can be fixed/how i can get these missing elements. Has anyone experienced the same thing? I am using Windows 8, and in my programs & features it indicates that i am using version 13 of Dreamweaver CS6 CC.

The "missing" elements in your screenshot are not missing - They were in CS6, they've been removed in CC.
Dreamweaver CS6 (v.12) and Dreamweaver CC (v.13) are two different versions of Dreamweaver. Seems like you're running CC and thinking it's CS6.
You're comparing the CS6 (v.12) interface with the CC (v.13) interface - and much has changed.
The "missing" elements have been removed by Adobe to streamline the DW CC interface.
CS Live services were discontinued by Adobe in 2012 and early 2013 so the button has been removed in CC.

VacationRequest Sample, missing element "mds-config" error upon Deploy

Searched the forum history and couldn't find any hints on this one, wondered if some kind soul could help a SOA beginner.
I took the VacationRequest sample from https://soasamples.samplecode.oracle.com/files/documents/660/794/workflow-100-VacationRequest.zip and am attempting to deploy into a WLS 10.3.2 domain which has the soa_server1 configured correctly. The demo users and app have been already seeded OK from the DemoCommunitySeedApp.
When opening the VacationRequestApp.jws within JDev and receive this error:

Not sure about what the question means, but could it be that OP is not aware that the first element in an array is at index 0 (not 1) ?

IDVD themes miss elements

Some of my themes, pre-7.0, don't play anymore and miss elements of the theme. It is the case for "Shelves" for instance, where I miss the shelves. The dropzones are present. Also, the background is sometimes kept from one theme when switching to another.
Of course, I have deleted the pref's and the cache, emptied the trash and restarted just to be sure. iDVD is 7.1.2 version.
Any hints what to do?

What system version are you running?
First log into another user account on your Mac and see if the theme problem exists there.
If so go into the HD/Library/Application Support/iDVD folder and make a backup copy of the entire Themes folder. Then enter into Time Machine, go back in time to before the problem started and restore the Themes folder. Repair disk permissions and try iDVD again. You may have to go into iDVD's Advanced preference pane and confirm the location of the themes:

Export from Indeisgn to flash, missing elements and animation!

Hi, I have a problem whit exporting files from Indesign cc 2014 -> Flash pro cc.
When i open a exported document in flash im missing elements and the animations.
I get some images and text but never vecorbased rectangles or anything graphical made in indesign.
Is the fla export function broken? I looked at several tutroials and guides but i can't find anything about this problem.
Is the workflow from indesign these days -> eps->ai->flash-animation->save?

My free trial download of photoshop elements won't open because of missing elements. I've already installed twice. What can I do?

I downloaded the free trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and now it won't open because it says there are "...missing files. Please reinstall." I've already downloaded it twice and it still didn't fix it. Is there anything I can do to fix it? TIA.

Missing elements in Acrobat 10 but not in 9, files made in Illustrator CS

File made in CS5 (MAC) version of Illustrator and then viewing in either Acrobat pro10 or 9. 9 views fine, but 10 randomly drops a filled background element. Like if there was a full bleed of a color and then knocked out type - depending on the type color it could just view that or if white the pdf just shows white. In a standard reader there is no issue it views fine.
Problem is when I am approving pdf proofs it appears things are missing. I then have to open either in Acrobat Pro 9 or in Illustrator to see if the missing items are actually there.
Help! Any suggestionsd, I did try removing and reinstalling, no success there problem still exists.

Change your preferences Edit > Preferences > Page Display Use Overprint Preview to Always.
These sound like Spot UV plates/colors and would be designed with Overprinting
Are you also looking at the Seperations/Output Preview? (Advanced > Print Production > Output Preview Simulate Overprint can also be toggled there.)

Missing Elements Pro XI

I work on a Mac, OS Mountain Lion. I create a layout with bleed using InDesign CS6. I use File/Acrobat PDF Presets/PDFX-1a to make a PDF. When it displays the background color is missing, sort of. It is actually there but does not display in Acrobat. I can see it in Finder when I select the PDF in the folder and it prints. It's a display problem within Acrobat. The file displays fine in Acrobat 9.x.

This was fixed by Adobe. I had to install Acrobat Reader. Evidently, according to them, there are some elements in Reader that are required to make Pro properly display the finished PDF.

Missing elements when exporting in After Effects CC

Hi there,
I really hope someon is able to help me with this problem.
I have this animation in After Effects. It contains PSD files of lines. I animated the lines using the Stroke-tool form AE.
When pre-rendering the animation does what it's supposed to do. It works fine.
However, whenever I try to export it through Render Queue, it seems to forget just two PSD elements in my project. I can already see the animation will not export as it's supposed to do while rendering in the render Qeueu.
I've tried several things:
- Change my PSD files from CMYK to RGB and replace footage in After effects
- Copy my original PSD files and replace footage in AE
- exporting in different kinds of files (MOV/AVI) H264
Can anyone help me? I've searched on Google but couldn't find anyone with the same problem.
Further info:
- I'm using Adobe CC (legal of course )
- Windows 8
- I've updated my computer with every update available

What is the full version number of AE that you're using? 12.2.1.5? 13.2.0.49?
Can we see a screenshot of your timeline panel with the missing layers? Are they set to guide layers?

Some missing elements in Encore

After purchasing Creative Cloud and downloading Premier Pro,AE and PS, encore is missing some elements. I have most of the Library templates but I'm missing buttons,images,layers,backround ,layer sets,text items,shapes and replacement layers.
I followed the instructions for downloading all of the PR and EN elements. Is there another download I'm missing.

Missing and partially-missing elements when printing PDF's -- Problems began 3 days ago

Source files and PDF's created from them are printing fine from Ai and PS, but the same Ai- and Ps-created PDF's opened in Acrobat Pro or preview app are not. Elements are missing, some completely, some partially; half a word or half an image missing, or an image but no drop shadow and vis-versa. Furthermore, what does and doesn't print changes with each printing attempt.
Not sure what the problem is; it's not a matter of color profile of items or documents, missing links, outline vs. text, or even vector vs. raster.
All attempts to print have been on digital printers, both here in our office and at a local print shop, with the same results. Problem just started 3 days ago; can't find anything in forums and am not sure where to turn...

You probably need to start by establishing whether your problem is before or after creation.
To do that just open in Acrobat a file made before the problem started which you are SURE used to be good.
- If it's still good, you have a problem with PDF creation
- If it's gone bad you have a problem with PDF printing
