Missing 1px p border in IE(6)...

Question

This is a page of a layout I've been working on - have now
managed to get it pretty much working in IE, safari, firefox, and
IE Mac (thanks Osgood for the help
I do have one issue that I can't seem to resolve tho' - the
1px border above the footer isn't appearing in IE6.

And the CSS for the footer is :

Yeah I've known this for days and why I was becoming more and
more
frustrated.
Something somewhere in your css is causing MacIE5x issues
with rendering
the grey background on the <a> tags for the submenus.
They are there but
the absolutely positioned layers are appearing beneath the
other <divs>
hence you don't see the grey background. This shouldn't be so
and I have
never encountered this before in MacIE5x.
I would need to rebuilt the whole page step by step to sort
this out. I
have tried just about everything I can think of, giving the
layers high
z-indexes, giving the other <divs> low indexes and
nothing has worked
correctly x-browser.
Unless anyone else has encountered this before I'm at a loss
to know
exactly which part of your css is accountable for this.
Im sure if I rebuilt the page from scratch this wouldn't be
an issue. It
has simply got to be an issue with the way the page/css is
initially set-up.
