Missing 3 episodes in podcast

Hello,
We have been podcasting on iTunes since October 2005 and you can find our podcast in the iTunes directory at:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=81508264
The problem is that 3 of our episodes (i.e. Jan 2007, Nov 2006, and Sep 2006) are not showing up in iTunes. If you download our full RSS feed from http://feeds.feedburner.com/dhammapodcasts into a feed reader other than iTunes you will see it shows all the 31 episodes. But for some reason in iTunes only 28 episodes show up (i.e. it is missing the episodes posted on Jan 2007, Nov 2006, and Sep 2006). As all 31 episodes show up in various other feed readers this tells me there is something in iTunes that is handling the feed differently and hence not displaying these 3 episodes.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. I contacted iTunes support and they said the only offer limited support for podcasts on iTunes and simply pointed me to: http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/podcaststechspecs.html. I reviewed the information on this page, but it did not help.

Hello,
I found this section in our Feedburner control panel called Pod Medic (Troubleshootize --> PodMedic).
It showed me the problem with our Nov. 2006 and Jan. 2007 podcasts was that there were spaces in the file names of our MP3s. Once I updated them to only have underscores it worked fine.
The problem with our Sept 2006 podcast was not picked up by PodMedic, but I found it to be an error with the link we put into the enclosure field. For some reason we had listed a non-working URL so Feedburner picked up the next working URL in our post which was the Flash version hence it dd not work in iTunes. We now have the correct MP4 URL in the enclosure filed and now it works.
So the lessons to keep in mind are: (1) Always check iTunes after making a new post to ensure that it shows up, and (2) PodMedic is your friend so make use of it.

  • Add Missing Podcast Episodes to Podcast Section

The podcast I listen to the most decided to cut its feed down to 20 shows, so now that I changed my hard-drive and didn't back up the podcast folder, I only have the last 20 shows, out of 200.
I found a server that had backups of the podcast, and I manually downloaded each one (1 to 180). Now I'd like to add those missing shows to my podcast folder, but I can't. iTunes adds them to my Library?
Is there any easy way to solve this problem?

I have a similar problem, for some reason one specific podcast from a subscribed series I get has moved into the standard library. How would I change it back. Is it something to do with ID3 tags? Please help!

  • Missing image in my podcast...

    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has help for a missing image on my podcast...
I created my podcast feed with a program called "feeder", and submitted the podcast. Apple added the podcast but only displays the "generic" podcast image. When I do an iTunes preview in the feeder program, it shows up fine.
I am hosting the image and have double checked that the image url is proper, and it is... is anyone else having this issue?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sorry for my bad English skills. I tried to describe the current issue in the best way...
    Following szenario:
    - podcast image in iTunes store is visible now
    - podcast image in my iTunes is not visible (after downloading an episode)
    - podcast image of the episode is visible (when playing the episode)

  • Sync arbitrary number of episodes of podcasts (not 1, 3, 5, 10 or all)

Hi - I'd like to synchronize a user-defined number of episodes of podcasts with my iPod and not be restricted to 1, 3, 5 10 or all (whatever is the sync logic). This is strange that this is not just a parameter for users to decide. Did I miss something ?
    Thanks

Thanks but that does not solve my problem. I have 20 different podcasts feeds and each of them produces one episode a day (or every couple of days) and I want to have all the time the latest 30 (e.g.) episodes of all podcasts by just plugging my iPod and letting it getting sync'd. What you suggest would require manual selection every day and this is what I'm trying to avoid

  • Certain episodes of podcasts won't sync while others sync perfectly fine

Recently I have run into a problem where certain episodes of podcasts dont sync while others sync perfectly fine. How can I fix this? The last time one of my video podcasts updated was October 31s, there are about 5 episodes a day. It is the same with several of my podcasts. I have it set to sync all. They are mostly video podcasts, all of my videos are set to sync and I only listen to podcasts from the iTunes store. The episode do not exist anywhere on my iPod, I have looked. The only error message I get is the standard Windows 7 Format Error. I have asked this question before, but someone clicked correct answer so no one who could help is looking at it since they think it is solved.

How do your have your iPod configured to sync podcasts from under your iPod's Podcast configuration tab in iTunes?  If you are unsure of how to locate this tab, click on your iPod from under the list of device in the left hand pane of iTunes.  This should bring you to the Summary tab.  Now locate the Podcast tab along the top.

  • Not showing past episodes of podcasts. i.e. Comedu Bang Bang shows 301 episodes but I can only see ten. WHY?

Not showing past episodes of podcasts. i.e. Comedu Bang Bang shows 301 episodes but I can only see ten. WHY?

When I search the store for 'Comedy Bang Bang', on the results screen I get :
To the far right of the Podcast Episodes heading is a 'see all' button/link. Or clicking on the podcast name above it takes me to that podcast's episodes.
On the list for that particular podcast I see whitespace if I scroll down the screen too quickly, but scrolling back gets them to (slowly) appear.

  • HT201272 Missing TV Episode

Missing TV Episode but iTunes Store says it is downloaded. How do I get it to download and fix it?
I purchased the TV programme Spaced but one episode has disappeared from my hard disk, but all will be fine I am covered by iMatch on iCloud but no.....
If I try to download it from iCloud it comes up with an error.
If I try to show iTunes where it is located on my hard disk I can't because it isn't there.
If I try to purchase it again iTunes Store says I've got it already and I can't download it.
If I log into iCloud and check my purchases it says its downloaded and I can't download it again.
I am stuck please can someone help thank you
    Graeme
    Thx

If you still have it listed in the TV shows part of your iTunes library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message) then iTunes will see that and assume that you still have it somewhere and that there is no need to re-download it - try deleting it from there and it should then get the cloud symbol against it in the Purchased link for re-downloading.
Note that TV shows aren't covered by iTunes Match, there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for re-downloading in the future, so ideally you'd copy them (and your other downloads) onto a backup, just in case the TV company removes from the store

  • Missing apps, photos and podcasts after ios 5.0.1 upgrade

After I updated my Ipad 2 with the ios 5.0.1 update, I am missing apps, photos and podcasts.  I purchased the full version of a calculator before the update and now it is gone and when I go back to download it, it wants me to pay again.  Also, I can see the podcasts in my library on my computer, but they want sync to my Ipad, despite them being there before. Is anyone experiencing similiar issues?

    Hi.
You can easily restore all of your apps, photos and podcasts.
If you activated the iCloud service before updating, your Apps will be storaged "in the cloud" and ready to be re-downloaded. Otherwise, go to App Store and choose "Updates". Here, in the top of the screen, is the "Purchased"-button. Tapping here will give you a complete list of all your downloaded Apps, ready to be re-downloaded.
As for your podcasts, plug your iPhone to your PC/Mac. Single-click your iPhone-device in the menu on the left. Once the iPhone-window appear, go to the tab-menu in the top of the screen and choose 'Podcasts'. From here you can decide which podcasts should be sync with your device.
    I hope this was helpful.
    Best regards.

  • I've tried clicking on "unplayed" episodes of podcasts and iTunes never shows me the newest or the ones I've recently downloaded. How to fix this?

I've tried clicking on "unplayed" episodes of podcasts and iTunes never shows me the newest or the ones I've recently downloaded. How to fix this?

    Hello yung ron,
It may be that your iPhone's set to sync automatically, which can potentially remove any music that's been added to the device. It may help to set the device to 'manual mode,' so that you have complete and total control over what content is on the device.

  • HT5070 Missing Tv Episode

There are missing a episode that aired on Fox on June 10,2013 I guess we are not getting it with our season pass it was brand new one but I guess ITunes didn't see the memo
Anger Management Season 2 Episode 23 or it was 22
Charlie and the Secret Gigolo That Aired on June 10,2013 an we didn't get it Great Job ITunes! It was a Brand new episode an you said in season pass that we will be getting new ones right?

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes here.
If the TV company haven't passed the episode to Apple to put in the store then Apple can't do so.

  • Where is Download All for all unplayed episodes in podcast?

After subscribing new podcast, is there anyway to download all episodes for me to go thur them offline without Internet access?
Autodownload is on, all episodes are unplayed, and "Episodes to keep" is set to "All episodes".
Anyone knows where the most basic function in the world "Download all" is? Or it's hiding somewhere I missed?

  • Grabbing Old Episodes of Podcasts

Is there a quick and easy way to download all OLD episodes of a podcast? I often discover a podcast that has been around for a while and perhaps has 50 or more old episodes. I can not seem to find a way to select all the old episodes and que them for downloading. I have to subscribe to the podcast, which then lists all the old episodes with a "GET" button next to each. But I have to step through all 50 episdoes and press the GET button on EACH of them to add them to the que. Surely there must be an easier way to just tell iTunes "hey catch me up", i.e get all episodes.
The settings in iTunes only refer to NEW episodes. So from that point forward I can have iTunes automatically download all NEW episodes, but no way to easily grab all old ones. So the seetings options for example say "When NEW episodes are available:" And you can select "Download ALL", but again, that only refers to NEW episodes.
Looks like Apple forgot to add a "GET" command. that way I can just select all the epidoses I want, and choose GET from a menu and add them all to the que, but no such thing...
    Am I missing something?

    Well, word from Apple is:
    Dear Shahin,
I understand your concern that you are not able to select old podcast episodes all at once. Unfortunately there is not a way to select all of the old episodes at once, you will have to use the "Get" button for each episode.
I think that would be a great feature to add to the iTunes software. I encourage you to use the iTunes Feedback page to submit your feedback:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
Your efforts to share your feedback are very much appreciated.
Thank you for being an iTunes Store customer and have a great day.

  • How to play progressive episodes in podcasts

I have the 16 GB iPhone and have several podcast episodes under one title, Spanish Survival Guide. What I am hoping to do is have it play consecutively like an iPod, in that when one episode finishes it automatically plays the next episode. As it is now on the iPhone it plays the selected episode tp play another you have to tap it.
Is there a setting I am missing to do this?
    Thank you
    Susan

Hi, the easiest way is to make a new playlist. Put your episodes into it. When you want to listen to them, select them from the playlist directory, not the podcast directory. They should play one after the other.
