Missing 411 info for our business

Hi,
Our hotel has been in business for 20 years and have started getting complaints from customers that the operator at 411 was unable to find them my phone number.
Any suggestions on who to call at verizon to get this fixed?
The one thing they all have in common is they use Verizon for their home phone service and that's where they are calling from.

Verizon doesn't own all '411' services and we have no way to add or delist your numbers from those '411' services. So with that in mind, when you run into this same issue again, you would need to ask your customer what phone carrier are they with. Afterward, you would have to call that carrier and ask if they can add your business phone numbers back into their 411 directory listing.

Can I share subscription to PS CS5 with a 2nd 'puter that needs it,too for our business?

I recently purchased the Photoshop CS5 1 yr subscription. I am partner in a start up company and I, the artist, lives in new England and my partner, who is business/marketing end, AND ALSO HAS THE NEW GRAPHIC PRINTER, lives in South Florida. We BOTH need to use this program. Since the program was subscribed to under the business name, can she and I share the program? Or, does she HAVE to do another subscription under the co name? Thanks.

Thanks for the answer. I was certainly under the impression that I SHOULD be able at least 2 downloads - but I couldn't find anything in writing about it. Also, just wanted to make sure that, since it is for business and not personal use, that it's okay to have it installed in 2 different locations. However, I guess once you think about it, a laptop is often in "a different location".

Missing Info Objects in Business Content

Hello,
the business content of our system has missing IO. For the Bank Analyzer there are missing 3 IO which are used for the cube etc.(IO are S20BPART,S21DFVAL, S40FTRAN).
For me is this problem new and I want to now if anybody has experience with this type of problem. On oss I could not find anything, so what could be the reason

We had the same problem with BC 7.03. I guess it was support package 5. We had to open a customer message and got a corrected version which became part of the next support package.

Missing default flag for communication type in crm/business partner

Hello!
We've connected a crm 5.0 with an R/3-system (4.6c).
The crm-system is the leading system...
While inserting a new customer in crm with phone- and fax-number.
After "save" we've got red bdocs, telling us that the standard entry for communication type is missing.
In crm 5.0 there's no standard flag for the phone number but a fixed range with from-date and to-date.
The R/3-system needs the default flag (an "X") as a sign that the number is the standard number.
Anywhere there should be the problem...
Is here anybody with some advices for us?

I assume you talk about error message XR002
You have 3 options to resolve the issue:
1. In order to avoid error message XR002 you must set the Standard
Indicator Validity in the maintained telephone in BP transaction.
You can find this indicator in the yellow arrow near the telephone
number. Here you must press the button "Standard Indicator Validity".
2. In customizing you have the possibility to switch off the time
dependency of the addresses causing the XR002.
3. The error occurs due to missing ADRU entries for the communication
data (Email, Phone, Fax etc).
The function modules used in data exchange assumes that there is
an ADRU entry for all addresses. This assumption is partially correct.
If an address is created in Basis release 6.40 and above, then for all
communication data of that address ADRU entries will be created.
But if a Business Partner(with address) is created in release 6.20 or
below and system is upgraded to 7.0, ADRU entries for the communication
data of thoses addresses are not automatically created. When the user
opens that BP in change mode & modifies the communication data and
saves it then ADRU entries for that BP's communication data are created.
There exist a correction report and several notes, so I think if above info
is not able to help, it would be better to open a support message!

Info for command and busy status

Can anyone provide me with info on the busy status property returned by the info for command?
Under OS 9, I used that to determine if files were busy before attempting to process them.
Now, under OS X, it doesn't seem to be functional, the files are processed even if they really are busy, and the fider throws a message back at me saying so.
Basic scenario (repeated with any PostScript files found in folder):

The folder being watched is a folder that graphic artists are writing PS files to directly from InDesign.
If the script runs and a PS file is in the process of being written, it still attempts to distill it, and it still attempts to delete it, and the result is a finder error.
I had assumed that the busy status would solve my problem, but it doesn't ever appear to return a true value.
I had also assumed that the try-on error block would catch the finder error and prevent it from displaying the dialog box, but it doesn't appear to.
I have found a few references to the fact that busy status isn't reliable, and may not work at all under OS X. Anyone have any ideas?

We used to use the watched folder feature of Acrobat. We just upgraded our process from OS 9/Acrobat 4 to OS X/Acrobat 7. What Adobe fails to tell you, is that the Standard version of Acrobat doesn't have watched folders. That is now only a feature of the Pro version.
I thought I could avoid paying $150 a copy to upgrade from Standard to Pro, just for that one feature.
I have previously used Applescript to create watched folders for a variety of automation tasks, and never had a problem. Because I have a lot of Applescript processes in place already that rely on being able to determine if a file is busy, I need to figure out how to do it with OS X.

Otherwise you can use Find My Phone, but requires logging in for each separate user. Find My Friends(built by Apple) will show everyone's location on one device.

Outlook 2007 Clients Cannot Access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 Mailbox

Hi:
I have Outlook 2007 clients that cannot access Free/Busy Calendar info. for Exchange 2010 mailboxes. They receive error like "...you do not have appropriate permissions..."
If those same users logon to a machine running Outlook 2010 then they can view the free/busy info. of the other user's mailbox, so I believe the permissions are set correctly on the mailbox to allow the viewing.
Any insights are greatly appreciated!

As you said, it seems users have proper permissions on mailbox.
Please make sure users has Reviewer permission on Outlook 2007.
Please try to run Outlook 2007 under safe mode or re-create profile.
Also try to turn Outlook 2007 to Exchange Online mode from Cached mode.

Google "TuneUp" it should be the first result. TuneUp is a paid application though, there's another application called MusicBraiz which is free, but this one is a little complicated I think. Hope that helps

Is Business Manager the best tool for our company?

I have a number of quesitons to answer to figure out if Busienss Manager is the best tool for our company. The ONLY reason we are pursuing changing from individual accounts is that Share Screen has been removed from some of our accounts with the latest Skype update.
Can we port existing Skype account names to Business Manager?
Will Skype contacts be kept?
Is 'Share Screen' part of Business Man.?
Is it east to add and delete user accounts in Business Manager?
What are the admin issues?
Can more than one person be the administrator? Is it easily transfered?
The Business Manager literature refers to credit allocation, tracking and reporting as a benefit of Business manager. Credit is not a concern for our company as we seldom use Skype to call phones. What are the other benefits of Skype business Manager?

Up until a few weeks ago I would certainly reccomend Skype, but my advice is for youy to look for another company.
Skype doesn't care about it's business customers, I and others have been trying to buy credits for week but the system is broken with no fix in sight, I was told it would be fixed by the end of the week, it hasn't been!!
Read for yourself then go look for another phone provider, Skype is not responsive to business customers!
