Missing Adobe Web Fonts

So I bought a new computer and transfered the project folder to it. When I open it, only the standard fonts. whose Idea was it to not include a copy of the font in the system font. That is so backward, So Adobe 1990 thinking. ALL dependent files need to be included and refrenced in the project folder. This is 2013 folks.
Anyway, How do I fix this mess Adobe created. ?

UPDATE:
Apoligys to Adobe. My Bad. Problem resolved it self when I opened the master page in the design mode. Then the correction propegated to all pages. Sorry Adobe.

Hi,
I have prepared for you a basic composition where the problem ALWAYS appear:
The page uses 2 compositions created in edge, inserted in a Muse project via .oam file (note that publishing directly to web structure, the problems occurs too)
1.- The upper element of the page is one composition with only ANIMATED TEXTS over a simple MP4 VIDEO BACKGROUND. The used font is -Fredoka One-
This first  composition is inserted in the Muse Master page
In the Muse index main page are the other 2 elements:
2.- Above the first composition there is another Edge composition, that contains 4 video backgrounds with a title over each one. The font of each main title is -Fredoka One- too.
3.-In the bottom there is inserted THE SAME composition than in the upper side of the page.
Yuo can see it in http://www.comunicracia.es/
As you can see, everything is OK using Chrome or Mozilla, BUT PLEASE TAKE A LOOK USING INTERNET EXPLORER.
Using IE I can see every combination of problems with the font, BUT never the 3 elements Fine!!! (The tittles font is replaced by Arial frustratingly without any rule)
(My experience FYI) In this composition I have prepared for you,  the bottom composition is usually (90%times) OK, the upper composition is usually (95%times) BAD, and the middle composition usually (70%times) BAD.
If I publish only the first composition in the page, it works fine in IE 95% of the times.
Pleeease, its frustrating..
Any suggestion?
What can I do??
Thank you very very much in advance, my friends!

  • Problems in IE -internet explorer- with Adobe web fonts embedded in EDGE compositions

    Hi again friends,
For simplifying the problem: Im trying to create compositions, just some animated texts over video, using adobe web fonts in Edge. In this case using muse to insert them.
Everything works fine, but after uploading the result compositions, they always work fine in Chrome or Mozilla, but they dont work always fine in Explorer (tested in diferent versions and OSs).
Frustratingly, sometimes IE display the fonts correctly, some other times changes the font to arial or similar...
Frustrating example: Two instances of the same composition (only text moving over mp4 video) and sometimes one work fine and the other is changed to arial, some other times both ok, some other both arial.... its crazy.. just refresh, and it changes!!
If I create a page with only one composition (text over video) it works fine 90-95% of the times in IE. just refreshing... and after some good attempts.. the arial font apperar smiling to me!!!!!
    Any suggestion?
    What can I do?
Checked with diferent systems using latest versions of Edge and Muse in my job, only in Windows systems.
Sorry for my english, I hope is well explained...

  • Have you experienced rendering problems with Adobe Web Fonts?

Used PT Sans for body text and PT Sans Bold for headings. The Bold font displays properly on iMac and iPad, but the letter spacing is shot when viewed on Android 4.0.4 (Samsung Galaxy SII). I checked that I hadn't emboldend the characters, and when I changed the font to Hammersmith it displayed correctly on all three devices.
Not many font families in Adobe Web Fonts, where ther is a Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic.
    Has anyone experienced similar problems`/

    Hi Zak
I've sent the URL and details of a possible cause of the problem.
The most affected page has small thumbnail images pasted into the text. I
set it up this way because although they were aligned outside of the text
but ranged with the headings, when viewed in the browser they had dropped
and lost their position. Pasting inside the text box and using text wrap
seemed the best solution. The font Hammersmith isn't affected, only PT Sans
    Bold.
Unfortunately, Muse doesn't use multiple columns, which allow text flow.
    Kind regards,
    Jerry

  • Disable every single web fonts in adobe muse and prevent it from loading open-sans:n3:all.js

I'm using Adobe Muse 2014.2 to build a Chinese site. The audience of the site is mainly people in mainland china, and I'm using a server from Hong Kong. Recently I just tested the site, however, it was loading extremely slow. In the end I found out that the cause of the slow loading was due to a file called "open-sans:n3:all.js" that was loaded from adobe webfonts.
Because a lot of sites are blocked in China, I think that Adobe Web Fonts (or typekit) is also blocked thus can't be loaded properly, causing the entire site to slow down.
Is there a way to disable all the webfonts in Muse and to prevent my site from loading this file?
Or is there a way I can host this file on my own server?
    Thanks in advance.

This was a snapshot that my friend in China sent to me. You can see that the open-sans:n3:all.js is taking extremely long to load.
Yet the funny thing is that I did not use any web fonts in my site. However Muse is still adding it in the code for some reason.

  • Web Fonts (Not Working)

I am having trouble using Web Fonts with Adobe Muse.
In the design mode they look perfect but when you preview them and publish them the fonts change in structure and appear blurred.
I have tried several times with several different fonts and each time the same thing.
Can you please clarify if Adobe web fonts actually work or is this yet another bug in a long lists of bugs that customers are expected to put up with? Paying customers by the way (purchased muse today, and not very happy)

From the screen shot, I expect you're on Windows and have ClearType turned on (on is the default OS setting). The top text is drawn using Adobe's technology. The bottom would be drawn with ClearType. Microsoft's ClearType technology is one of several font anti-aliasing techniques. ClearType's approach is strongly biased toward making vertical stems appear smooth and of consistent width at the expensive of having horizontal portions of text appear less smooth. If you turn off ClearType on your computer the text will be rendered differently.
Each operating system has it's own approach to drawing text, and in fact both Windows and Mac have multiple approaches. Windows adds numerous end user controls on top of that. And each browser has the freedom to implement different rendering as well. There's nothing under the control of a website authoring tool that can cause live text to have an identical rendering when rendered by different browsers or operating systems.
This is one of the limitations of the web medium.
Cross browser compatibility generally refers to the large category of issues where a browser, or browser version, entirely lacks support for various features of HTML/CSS, implements those features differently from other browsers, or has bugs such that various features either don't function correctly or don't function consistently. Muse contains hundreds of pieces of code to compensate for these idiosyncracies between browsers.

  • Adobe Muse (2014.3) "Add Web Font" Function Not Working As Expected - Newly Added Fonts Become Unavailable Though Shown

    Hello.
This has also been posted in the Community: Adobe Muse Bugs forum.
I've been having some odd/irregular issues though they have now become fairly predictable in nature. The issue is in regards to Adobe Muse (2014.3) and the availability of web fonts provided through the applications "Add Web Fonts" feature. Once added they perform as expected but then become "unavailable." Full details below. I have been a Creative Cloud Complete subscriber for a number of years so am fairly familiar with the way in which the system works minus a few issues that have popped up now and then, this one included.
    System Info:
Adobe Creative Cloud (Full Subscription): Version 1.9.1.474
    Adobe Muse: Version 2014.3
    OS X Yosemite: 10.10.2
Here is a recap of what has been taking place. I'll detail the bug as best I can.
    1. Created new Adobe Muse project. Everything normal.
    2. Chose to add a new font through the "Add Web Fonts" function within Muse. A note, my Creative Cloud App is running/open at all times (in file synch mode).
    3. Chose new fonts using above. All seemed fine (see screenshots below).
    4. Fonts also were indicated as being "Synched" within Creative Cloud (screenshot below).
    5. As expected the two fonts were added to the list of available Web Fonts within Muse (first screenshot below - left). I added them successfully to my site. Well after a number of hours I went back to this same font selection menu within Muse and the fonts were still visible yet the sub-menu that one would expect showing various forms (i.e. Bold, Italic, etc) was not available. In a sense the font could not be chosen from the list even though the name is clearly visible (second screenshot below - right).
Have no idea what may have been wrong. Saved Muse project, closed and reopened - nothing changed. Created new project - fonts still "shown" in menu but can't be used. Did find a vague description using Google of similar problem (different application) which recommended closing Creative Cloud Desktop App and reopening as one possible solution. This DID WORK initially yet the problem, though corrected for a period of time (few hours at most), would reappear again where one would again see yet not be able to choose from the two Web Fonts. Went so far as to uninstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop application and reinstalling. Still have not solved the problem.
Any thoughts as to what this may be would be welcome. Restarting the CC app each and every time the fonts become unavailable is quite time consuming to my workflow.
    Thanks!

    Abhishek,
Thank you for the reply. Wanted to comment on a few things.
I reviewed the other post that you've referenced. Nothing unusual jumped out at me as something that I was not aware of. I'm running an older iMac that is in good working condition. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24" screen. I know this issue is fleeting, as I stated earlier typically can be corrected with a restart of the CC Desktop application (that I am always running at startup). I have not been able to determine that shutting down Muse corrects the issue. I would, at this time say it doesn't.
I did open InDesign and see if the fonts in question, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed, were present and usable. They were. The fonts are shown as being synched in my CC Desktop app window (even if they are not "installed" in Muse). That is expected but it may be a bug in how Muse brings in a font from those that are already synched to your CC account. I don't know enough about how that works to comment.
And just to complicate matters, Muse seems to be working again, the fonts that is. I brought them back in and they are showing up in all locations (which there are actually three - see screen shots).
First is primary text menu dropdown (to right of orange "Text").
Second is if you click orange Text link. Another drop down menu appears.
And lastly, the Text Panel to right of screen.
I also wanted to add this extra bit of information, for what it is worth. When the issue arises and you do not get the sub-menu dropdown showing various styles of the font (italics, bold, etc.), one can use click on the missing font if you had used it previously and it is present in the "previously used font" list.
    Cheers!

  • How to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly

I am a Dreamweaver newbie and am trying to learn how to use it through the tutorials. I am stuck at part 3 trying to use Adobe Edge Web Fonts correctly in my web site. As far as I can tell I have followed the instructions in the tutorial correctly, but the font style effect does not show up on my site. I am working on a Windows 7 machine and using Dreamweaver 5.5. I have copied and pasted the javascript into the correct spot in the head of the index.html page as well as included the font-family name in the CSS file and saved the whole smash. The source code for my index page looks exactly like the sample in the tutorial, and I have tried to view my site in my browser, but no dice. Doesn't display the Edge Web Font style in the web page. I believe I've done everything according to the directions, but I suppose I've missed some small detail. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

You need to add a <script> to the head of your documents like the example below.  In my example, I'm using all of the aguafina-script and league-gothic fonts.
    <!--Edge Font-->
    <script src="//use.edgefonts.net/aguafina-script:n4:all;league-gothic:n4:all.js"></script>
    CSS:
         h1 {
         font-family: league-gothic, sans-serif;
         font-weight:bold;
         color: #639;
         font-size: 250%;
A simple way to get the correct codes is to go to Adobe Edge Web Fonts and select the font you wish to use.
    https://edgewebfonts.adobe.com/fonts
NOTE: You won't see the custom web fonts displayed in Design View, Live View or when previewed locally unless you use a local testing server.  An easier way to test is by uploading the page to your remote server.
    Hope this helps,
    Nancy O.

    Thank you Sanjit,
I have redone the site using using the font TREBUCHET. The font that I was using that was giving me the problem was EXO which is an Adobe Edge Web font. I'd rather use EXO... Here is a screen shot of a sample page, areas where the type looks especially messed up are circled in red.
This only happens when opened in Google Chrome on a Windows PC. However it looks fine with Chrome on my MAC.

  • Using Typekit web fonts in Adobe Muse | Adobe Muse Feature Tour | Adobe TV

Adobe Muse recently introduced a feature that allows you to incorporate TypeKit web fonts into your website designs. In this video, Product Manager Dani Beaumont shows you how to access over hundreds of font types that look beautiful and can be understood by search engines and screen readers.
    http://adobe.ly/NlQYof

This video sends Flash Player into a wheel-spinning loop that freezes Firefox, won't play beyond the first few seconds (and very choppily at that) in Chrome, and reduces IE9 to a crawl. It isn't possible to view the video as of 10/23/2012.

Web fonts have become an important part of many web designers' workflows. Dreamweaver CS6 adds support for web fonts through the new Web Fonts Manager. See how to use the Web Fonts Manager to add, manage, and apply web fonts throughout your sites.

I've been wondering for ages why DW doesn't just show my web fonts in Design View, and now I'm none the wiser. Why doesn't Design View look at your fonts (not your system fonts, your folder fonts) and display them?
With Font Squirrel you don't even need to / or shouldn't even need to go through that rather bizarre "global" Web Fonts dialog. DW should just look at your fonts folder and work out it needs to display the fonts.
I'd give this first generation attempt 1/10.

  • Adobe TrueType fonts missing from created PDF

When I create a PDF file everything comes through perfectly except the Adobe TrueType font text is missing (Adobe Garamond Pro). This used to work. File looks good on screen and prints fine.
If I switch to Garamond the PDF is created perfectly, now including all missing text.

Note that Adobe's Garamond Pro fonts are not TrueType fonts. They are OpenType CFF fonts.
In fact, that may be the key to why they are not embedded in your PDF files.
First, contrary to the response of Bill@VT, although the Standard joboptions for Adobe's PDF creation tools do not embed all fonts, the fonts that are not embedded are in an exception list. Using those joboptions, members of the Adobe Garamond Pro font family should properly embed in PDF files created either by (a) printing to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance under Windows, (b) using the native PDF export from Adobe graphic arts applications (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) as long as you don't use the Smallest Size joboptions, or (c) when using Microsoft Office applications, you use the Adobe PDFMaker option for PDF creation, Save as Adobe PDF again as long as you don't use the Smallest Size joboptions.
That having been said, the fact that the Garamond fonts (I assume that you are referring to the TrueType Garamond font family that Microsoft bundles with Windows and Office) embeds and Adobe Garamond Pro font don't embed leads me to believe that your real problem is that you are creating PDF by using the fairly defective save as PDF which is native to Microsoft Office on Windows. One of a number of bugs or limitations in Microsoft's PDF creation is that although it embeds TrueType fonts and OpenType TrueType fonts, it fails to embed OpenType CFF fonts. Not only doesn't Microsoft embed those fonts in the PDF file, but it improperly references the fonts in the generated PDF file such that when you display and/or print such PDF files, even if you have Adobe Garamond Pro installed on your system, those fonts are not used for display or print. (We have informed Microsoft of this bug, but they are apparently not interested in fixing their bug!)
If you already have Acrobat installed on your system, use the Save as Adobe PDF (from the file screen) or Create Adobe PDF from the Acrobat tab on the Office ribbon. Set the preferences to at least Standard, but preferably Hiqh Quality Print joboptions and you will end up with a proper PDF with the Adobe Garamond Pro (or any OpenType fonts) properly embedded)!

  • Adobe Edge Web Font Comparison?

Newbie here to web design (html, css, js), DW CC, and Edge Fonts.  Is there a "font finder" for Adobe Edge Web Fonts?  I found the regular font finder, but nothing for Edge fonts.
I'd like to do a side-by-side comprison of several edge web fonts for a header instead of trial and error into a website-name field for example.  If there isn't an edge font finder please recommend a easy way to accomplish this  - in simple terms please.  It's late and I'm sure it's staring me right in the face, but for the life of me I don't see it.

I have a Mac Pro OS 10.10.1 and the latest Dreamweaver CC update. When I click Manage Fonts, Adobe Edge Web Fonts do not appear. There is just a search field at the top under the words, "Edge Web Fonts give you access..."  A list of items to the left invite me to search for the best fonts for headings, paragraphs, etc. According to the tutorial, the whole box should be filled with fonts.
