Missing Album covers in iPhone/iPad (iTunes 11)... anyone?

I was hoping with the update to iTunes that this problem would have been solved- i was WRONG.
It's entirely disheartening that a problem that has existed for quite some time now continues, and not just with my iPhone 4 but also with my brand new iPad mini!
I'm noticing it seems completely arbitrary as to which album cover is missing- both ripped and bought albums are missing their artwork when I transfer over...a nd some retain the cover art (and yes they exist in iTunes- I'm pretty anal about keeping my music all sorted).
I've read the dozens of fixes that either work or don't work for any given person.
How can Apple allow such a glaring bug to continue?

I 've been having the same issue.
One thing I noticed was that it seemed to be like the missing albums were the ones purchased with a different Apple ID (mine but from a different country)... Then I realized that (as you said) it was rather arbitrary since the recently bought ones are either missing or just fine.
But most purchased with a diff ID are missing album covers.
I myself have 4 country IDs since I lived shortly in diff places.
I wish Apple was less constraining regarding this, but I guess it's got to be due to the music houses' rules and conditions...

Why does iTunes SUCK??
1) Many items greyed out in the menu bar, for well over 2 years, maybe more!
2) I Can't drag more than one piece of content from your iTunes library to any device (iPhone, iPad)
If you do it gets stuck for HOURS and HOURS in "Preparing To Update" and the little activity circle never completes, ever!!
I used to be able to drag over 1000 tunes, movies, etc. go have breakfast come back and it would all be on my device!!
Can't do it anymore, one song at a time, maybe an album at a time, or one movie, and that is it!!
If you do a 2nd item the other items stop loading and never continue!!
This is so BAD, I don't understand how they don't have this fixed yet!!
Please tell me I am not the only one!!
...and If I am tell me how to fix it!

I am running iTunes 10.2.1.1 and get the following message where my album covers used to be "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer"

i'm having the same problem with my itunes, i'm runing itunes 10.4 and i got the same message as i've been seeing a lot of people have posted over the years, the " itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer" and what i find weird is, my itunes was working perfectly yesterday so seriously ***?

Grayed out, unplayable songs and missing album art on iPhone after 5.1 update with iTunes 10.6

I have been having these problems on my iPhone since the above updates. First, the grayed out songs: I have my iTunes account set to sync over the air with wifi. I charge my iPhone overnight, but sometimes when I unplug the iPhone in the morning, a great majority of the songs get grayed out and unplayable. I can see the songs listed, but they don't play. I then have to sync the iPhone on my iMac in iTunes to enable all the grayed out songs to be re-copied to the iPhone. As if that isn't inconvenient enough, I now am encountering missing album art for every song on my iPhone. All the album art exists in my iTunes account on my iMac, but I can't get the album art to appear on my iPhone. This literally happened overnight one day ago and I can't figure out how to get the album art back. I do have sufficient storage space on my iPhone, so that possible explanation is eliminated.

Unfortunately, the only solution to this problem was to restore my iPhone. Many hours later, the problem was resolved, but for how long?

ITunes photo-sync results in corrupted album-pictures on iPhone/ iPad

Hey guys,
after restoring all my iDevices to iOS 7 last fall I've encountered the following problem: when syncing photo-albums from iPhoto to my iPhone/ iPad using iTunes, certain pictures of an album (or even all of them) end up showing as grey squares with a "JPG" sign in the middle:
I was hoping the problem would be gone after installing iOS 7.1, which is why I waited this long before starting a discussion here, but unfortunately it didn't. So here I am, asking you guys for help. Any ideas?

FYI: I'm running OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 with all apps up to date. All iDevices in question were restored using iTunes 11.1.5 and configured as "new" (no iCloud/ iTunes backup was loaded afterwards)

Are you able to view the photos in that album in iPhoto at full size?

Album list for iPhone in iTunes is missing albums from iTunes library

There are albums which appear in my iTunes library but do not appear in the album list for my iPhone while it is connected to iTunes. The albums were recently added by being imported from a CD.
In iTunes, I click on my iPhone to open the menus and options related to syncing the iPhone. Then, I click the tab for music. There are four large boxes: Playlists, Artists, Genres, and Albums. The albums for the CD that I recently imported is not listed in that box. I cannot check the box to have it added to my iPhone.
To circumvent this, I went to my iTunes library, selected the albums, and dragged them over to my iPhone.
While the problem is solved, I don't understand why the album was not listed where it was "supposed" to be.

Sorry to learn your music lost, but let me be suspicious here; iTunes does not delete music by itself.
Given say that, you have lost music. First thing to verify is does your music is deleted from the iTunes Music Folder or is it just removed from the iTunes library.
You should do some search on your hardisk to see if you can actually found the music files. Depending of your iTunes setup, these files could be store at different location. Usually, they should be found in /User/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Artist Names. But your could use spotlight to do some research; tell us you could find on your disk any of your lost music!
Beside, there is also a feature in iTunes 7 that let you backup your music to disc if you have a DVD burner, it will take you a few minutes.

Albums seperated on iPhone & iPad

I don't know how to fully explain this... but i'll give it a try!
I have purchased numerous albums over the years on iTunes, and now that i have signed up to iTunes match have notices a lot of the albums are showing up on all of my devices as individual songs and won't group together as a whole album.
This is easy to sort in iTunes on my Macbook and iMac, but on my iphone and iPad it's extrmely annoying as when i go into Album mode i see every track from the said albums as individual ones.

Your solution is good, but not perfect. That's because albums don't contain actual copies of the originals, just pointers back to the originals. So when you edit a photo in an album, you're actually editing the original. This is usually good, because it allows you to have the same photo appear in different albums, without wasting a lot of storage by creating multiple copies. For example, you could have a separate album for each day of your trip, and then you could have an album containing all the animals you photographed, and another one for all the people, another for the landscapes, and so forth.
So what Apple should have done, but apparently didn't, was to allow those sets of pointers to be copied from the ipad to the mac. That would be the way to truly integrate the IOS version of iphoto with the OSX version.
Another important issue is that iphoto edits are reversible (in both versions) so if you don't like the edits, you can revert to the original. It looks like Apple got this one right -- a photo edited on the ipad and then copied to the mac can still be reverted to the original.

Missing album art on iPhone

When I play some music on my iPhone, it is missing the Album Art. The Album Art is in iTunes on my Mac. I have iTunes Match. How do I get all the album art that is in iTunes on my Mac to also be on my iPhone? I have an iPhone 4s with the latest software on the iPhone and Lion on my Mac.

I just turned on Music MAtch adn it's not brining over any art work even though its in my iTunes library. This ****** me off since I've speen hours upon hour finding art work and completeing my iTunes library. It would be nice if Apple would spend a little more time fixing the iTunes artwork so that it can match easier and also flow over to devices.

After downloading album covers (some not found) itunes does not show most of the covers.

After downloading album covers into iTunes iTunes does not show most of the covers. It showas blank white boxes except for those where "cover not found" (music notes).
You have any idea how this happens, perhaps with location of the files.

iTunes refuses to play/read file, it cannot recognizes headers, or recognizes those as corrupt, but giving no error messages. The problem is the stored artwork(s) on your music files. To correct this, select the files that are corrupted/cannot be played on iTunes&iPod, click "Convert ID3 Tags...", then select v1.1 from the dropdown box (first, try this on a few to see that my solution is working).
By doing so, iTunes replaces headers, but your ID3 tags will not be changed (I assume you are using ID3 v2.4), nor you'll lose any info or anything else. This works as a hotfix for those files. If you try to replace headers via another program, your information will be truncated, and any artwork stored will be deleted. So I recommend this one.
You'll see that iTunes cannot play most of the files that has artwork(s) stored in them. New version hasn't fixed this problem, and it has risen with iTunes 8.2.x. If it's going to take long, I suggest you should go back to 8.1.x.

Missing Album Covers

2 Questions:
1. In my library on my computer, I have all of the album cover, but 1 (I manually put in most of them). But when I sync to my Ipod, I am missing 3 album covers.
...Does anyone know why?
2. One of my songs in my library wont let me manually add an album artwork to it.

They are part of the song file. They don't disappear
unless you delete the song file and add it back
without the artwork.
Right click - get info and click on the Artwork tab.
Is the artwork there?
No - Still Missing - I havent deleted any of the songs and then add then back. Just woke up this morning and many were missing.

When trying to transfer an album to my iphone from itunes it tells me I cannot as the computer is not authorised!?

I logged into my bugreporter account and found this exact bug reported by me way back in 2009. I can confirm this bug still existsin Lion. I don't think we'll ever see a fix because for whatever reason, it must not affect enough people.

Missing alternatives on my iPhone in iTunes

I am going to upgrade my phone to the new ios5 system and take backup first. However, when right clicking on my iPhone in iTunes, the

If your iPhone is not connected via the USB cable, try that first. Next try to restart (sometimes called reboot) your iPhone. That s done by holding down teh home and sleep buttons for about 15-20 seconds (until the silver Apple logo appears on teh screen, ignot the "slide to turn off" message when doing this).

How do I transfer albums from an IPhone to ITunes on my laptop?

I recently bought an album on my phone from ITunes and need to transfer it to ITunes on my laptop but I cannot find the right application to do it with. The album needs to be transfered to my laptop as it is unable on CD.
