Missing an Effect

I recently got a new computer (Mac) and had to upgrade from my old Elements 6 to Elements 13...I cannot seem to find one of my favorite effects, "solarizing", just wondering if I am missing it somewhere and I enjoyed using it...any suggestions?

Is Filter>Stylize>Solarize what your looking for?
In more recent versions of photoshop elements, Solarize is not shown under Efffects>Filters>Stylize for some reason.

I am missing "Warped Effects within my Space Designer. Please help!!!

I downloaded Logic Pro 9 off app store and it appears that I am missing "Warped Effects" within my space designer. My friend is running exact same version of Logic Pro 9 and has this setting. I do not understand why this setting is not present on my Logic. I have downloaded all additional content besides the Jam Packs. Please help me!!! I really need the Warped Effects. I do not understand how my download ended up without them. Thanks.

Have you double checked to make sure ALL the additional content was correctly downlaoded and installed by going back to Download Additional Ciontent and checking each of the items by clicking on each of the little Disclosure Triangles...and making sure they all say Installed?
Alternatively you can simply click on the "Select All Uninstalled" button in the bottom left hand corner of the "Downlaod Addtional Content' window and then click the Install button in the bottom right hand corner.. if it will allow you to.

How do you find missing titles, effects, and generators in final cut pro x?

Actually, that's only one of two questions...

When I attempt to export a movie, uncompressed, not through Compressor and not sharing to an Apple device, I get an error saying my Project has "missing or offline titles, effects, or generators."
There is a little yellow warning triangle next to the project name.
But there are no little yellow warning triangles next to anything in my libraries, and everything plays through in the Timeline.
Before exporting, how can I identify the supposedly missing elements???

I recently added a new plugin (mObject) and was experimenting with it. I decided to create a "temporary" library on my root drive since it's the fastest in my setup. I prefer to have major files like the library at the top level of my drives, and for the internal drive, that's outside my User folder. That's when all the trouble started. I would manually start a render and FCPX would not stop... would not completely render the clip... I would get "dashed" orange render lines over the clip. The only way to stop the rendering was to add something new to the storyline (that includes going into background tasks and trying to stop or pause the rendering from there!) Once I moved the library back into my user folder (and inside Movies), all the rendering problems stopped.
The only connection I can make is that FCPX is getting hung up on user permissions and the "current user". A lot of these issues started when I upgraded to a new iMac and restored all my old software (from the previous iMac) from Time Machine. It made me alter my user name for the new machine and I had some segments on this new machine with the older user permissions which I had to manually change to the new username in many cases.
If you have strict (user only) permissions on your RAID, try loosening them or make sure that you add your username to the list with read/write permissions. (? perhaps.)

when i went to add some effects to an instrument track i have no garageband effects i have gay audiounit effects and thats it alot of my loops are missing. plus everytime i load garagebad it loads a gay keyboard tarck i can create a new track properly..... should i reinstall it and how do i reinstall i tryed getting an update but i have the lastest version. it used to be good why is it gay now

Presets are missing in Effects Panel

- I am using PPro CS6 (Version 6.0.1)
- updated to the latest update
- Window 7
- HD FOTTAGE 1920 BY 1080 30P 50MBPS
- In effects panel >> Presets (first folder) only have one effect folder. other presets are missing

How to install missing kaleidoscope effect

I'm trying to edit a Final Cut project created by a friend who has the same version of FCStudio that I do: 5.1.4
I copied the project and media files onto my computer, but when I try to render it I get the message:
"The following effects could not be loaded:
Kaleidoscope
Membrane
These effects will not be applied. Please install the appropriate effects and re-open the project."
I took a look at the FCP install instructions on the install disk, and there was a custom install, but it didn't appear to offer selections of effect groups, just the whole FCP or not.
The only difference between my install and that of my friend that jumps out at me is that she installed Motion and I didn't. Would FCP effects be installed with Motion?
Otherwise, how do I "install the appropriate effects?"

FCP 5.1.2-5.1.4 has access to Motion's FXPlug Plugins.

But if you did have an approved card and you wish to install Motion now to get these effects, you need to follow these instructions from Apple.

Missing Various Effects in Premiere Pro

Hi Community. I bought Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 a couple years ago, and am now taking an online course to learn how to use it. I notice that my Adobe Premier Pro package is missing a lot of seemingly basic effects compared to my online instructor (such as Camera Blur or Door Open Transition). Is there some sort of add-on package that is standard out there that I am missing? Thanks for any advice!

Are you on a PC or a Mac? There are differences. The Mac has less effects from what I understand.

Soundtrack -missing sound effects from the library

Hi everyone,
I have recently installed Soundtrack onto my computer ( I have FCE HD) and the content onto an external HD.
Unfortunately I have noticed that there seems to be a fairly large section of sound effects missing, including "weapons" and "explosions". The reason I know these are missing is because there are greyed-out buttons for them where there is other ones present such as "Sci-fi" and others.
Can anyone help me find where these are- or do i not get a full sound effect library with FCE?
I'd be grateful if anyone could help.

Soundtrack Pro, that comes with FCP, is a different application, with more capabilities, than Soundtrack. Did you connect all your sounds up? If yes, if you selected the folder that contains them, then that's all you get. You can add more loops from sound libraries online. There are pre-built categories that the Acid loops format uses that will get assigned to the different sections as you add them.

Missing video effects for iMac g5 w/ external iSight cam

I have a G5 iMac with an external iSight camera and I'm wondering why I do not have the option for video effects while using photo booth and iChat. My wife's macbook does include video effects, so my first bet is that Apple decided not to give me the option with my OS upgrade. Anyone have a way to remedy this without spending over 2K again?

DP, he has Photo Booth and Front Row, its the effects in iChat that he can't use, and I do think that's an intel function.

Missing Spry effects???

Hi, hopefully this isnt the most asinine question asked. I
feel retarded or maybe I just cannot find the answer on adobe labs.
I have downloaded the spry updater for DW CS3 hoping to get the
effects that are shown here

Missing video effects in CS6 Mac

I am a member of the Creative Cloud Subscription and have both a Windows and Mac install of CS6.
The other day I went looking for a Zoom effect in PPro which I had used previously on Windows in my Mac installation and could not find it.
Today I bothered to check which effect it was used, "Camera View" but it is not present on the Mac.
Also the Windows install had more effects overall, i.e. Edge Feather.
On Windows I have all of the CS6 applications installed, on the Mac I only installed what I plan to use PPro, AF, Audition & PS, might have a few more but non of the web dev ones.
What are the differences between CS6 Win & Mac or have I forgotten to install something.

If you do a search for the string "Windows Only" in the Community Help search, you'll find all the features that a Windows version of Premiere Pro has. There are a number of things not available on the Mac.

Missing Lighting Effects filter in Photoshop CC

So ive recently got PHotoshop CC, been using it without a hitch for a week. Then the time came to use lighting effects, but turns out they were grayed out:
I dont know why this is happening. Im in RGB mode, with 8 bit/channel. One thing i did notice though is that my graphics card does not show up in photoshop:
I have a Intel Q35 Chipset with 256 MB memory. I have an Intel Core 2 vPro processor running at 2.33 GHz, with 512 MB RAM. My OS is WIndows 7 (32-bit). Please help, im trying to complete a project and I really need the Lighting Effects. I'm using Photoshop CC.

Well what graphics card should i get? I dont want to spend too much money, plus im not sure which cards will be compatible with my system. Heck, i dont even know if i can fit another one.
And can you also tell me the minimum requirements of a graphics card for the lighting effects to be used?

Missing sound effects

I suddenly have no sound effects (e.g., for emptying trash, putting trash in bin). I have a Macbook and am running OS 10.7.5. What should I do?

Tried all of that. Couldn't figure it out but now it works after restarting.

Missing Shadow Effects

I am using PSE 6 for mac over a network and under the local user the shadow effects show up under the Effects-> Layer Styles menu, but when I log in over the network those effects don't show up. How do I get those Shadow options to show?

I am pretty sure that you are right, that it is a permissions issue, but I can't find the folder. I have tried to find the it, but the only folder I can find is Library->Application Support->Adobe->Photoshop Elements->6.0->Locale->en_US->Photo Creations->layer styles and the names of those styles are not the same as the styles listed in the program, so I don't think they are the same. Is there anywhere else I should look for that folder?

Missing effects from imported images from Photoshop.

When I import from Photoshop the text files I bring In are missing some effects applied to them in Photoshop (i.e. drop shadow, outer glow etc.) Why would this be am I missing a step why I bring it in as a composition cropped layers and convert them to editable text or is it a coding error on my end. Any advise would help.

Just a personal anecdote.
I have several Photoshop people who try to provide me with files for After Effects and Final Cut Pro projects. Bless their little hearts, all they understand is how to print on white paper. It has taken many years to convince them to just give the raw, naked, un-effected stuff and to allow me, sometimes with their guidance, to apply all effects and filters in AE.
This just makes all of my work in AE simpler and cleaner; I know exactly how things will look as I go to video.
