Missing Apple app called 'Photos'
I have noticed that my iPhone 3GS 32GB doesn't have the 'Photos' app. I may have removed it when clearing out. How do I recover it, install it and restore it?
I have tried looking in the App Store but it's not there. And, my iTunes doesn't list it when I'm syncing my iPhone in Applications.
Help!!
i don't think 3rd party apps should be able to do that.. but you never know
try holding home button and the sleep/wake switch until you see the apple logo (ignore the slider keep holding them both down when it appears)
you could always try a restore... make sure there is a good backup before restoring here is the apple guide for general troubleshooting restore is in there as well http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/troubleshooting/phone/

I hope someone can help me, I have tried to trouble shoot this problem with the itunes app for about a month now, I have tried all of the suggested supports and none work. When I install itunes, I will get a error pop up that says. "Could not open Key Unknown\ components \....." it then gives a long key number. The ask me to make sure that I have sufficient support to that key or contact your support personal. I am the only one on this PC and the Administrator. I will also at times when I try to load the itunes , get a pop up saying Apple Application Suport was not found cannot Apple Application Suport is required to run iTunes Helper. Uninstall Itunes then install again...Error 2"
I have removed this (Itunes and Quicktime) and reinstalled manytimes. My husband also has a 64 bit windows 7 PC and it is having the same issue. I have ran Virus scans on and off line and deleated the PC's back up files just incase it's a virus. Please help us out. Thanks a bunchI found the fix to the error

I went to windows "Regedit" and located the registry key
HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Installer User Data S-1-5-18Components
I right click & Choose Permissions. I ended up changing the permissions for all the files in the componets to allow my changes.
I suggest if unexperienced people try this they should read about permissions before hand. Also, I found a post at www.ecademy.com/node.php?id=150548 by R. Harris that lead me down the righeous path... Thanks.

Missing Apple apps / app features?
Hi,
am I blind or is there really no ToDo manager on the iPhone 3G? I can create appointments in iCal, but no todos??? Is it possible that I need to buy an app for such a basic calendar feature?
And are the notes really not synked?
And I seem to bee unable to filter the emails downloaded to my iPhone (max. size, receive only from Mr.X and Mrs.Y etc.).

It ought to sync with iCal, but as I haven't succeeded in establishing a WiFi connection between my Mac and my iPhone (ouh man...! another dead end! how I hate that...), I can't tell yet if it works. -
I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 with iTunes installed. Now my iPhone 4S is no longer recognized in iTunes. Connecting the iPhone with USB sends me directly to the MS app that downloads pictures from the iPhone. Suggest this is a question of missing Apple driver for Windows 8, iTunes and iPhone. MS does not care! This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iPhone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, Samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with Outlook and my iTunes library.

Judging by you post I suspect you have loaded your computer down with a lot of crapware and that has caused it's problems. For example running antivirus apps on a Mac not only is a waste of time, it's a waste of money, system resources and will eventually create more problems that it solves. Please begin educating yourself on the subject by reading Thomas Reeds articles on the subject, Thomas is a frequent and knowledgeable contributor to these forums. The good news is here are absolutely no, zero, zippo viruses for OS X. There are other types of malware available (for example trojans) however they differ greatly from viruses in that the use has to download and install them, whereas viruses do not work that way. OS X is not like MS Windows and is extremely secure.
My suggestion at this point would be to clean your computer of the crapware (including antivirus apps) however before doing so please download and install EtreCheck and post its report. Then we can see how your computer has been configured and begin to give you some advice on the next steps. -
ICloud backed up my iPad yesterday at 3:00 pm. After that I inadvertently deleted an app called Good Reader which contained a lot of data. iCloud still shows the app, how do I get it back to my iPad?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
To recover completely you'd need to restore from a back up that contained the app data. Alternatively you can just restore the app by redownloading it.
You can re-download content purchased from the app store using the purchased option which is revealed by tapping the updates option at the bottom of the screen of the App store app on your iOS device. -
ERROR ITMS-9000: Missing Code Signing Entitlements when adding app to Apple App Store
My client is getting the following error when sending my app (compiled in Flash Pro CC 2014 with AIR SDK 15.0.0.356) to the Apple app store:
ERROR ITMS-9000: "Missing Code Signing Entitlements. No entitlements found in bundle
'com.xxxxxx.xx.xxx' for excutable 'payload/xxxxx.app./xxxx'.""
He is saying that I need to send them the entitlements file.
I can't find out any information about this with regards to Adobe Air compiled iOS apps, apart from this old post:
Adding iOS entitlements to AIR apps
which states that 'the packager configures the entitlements file '
Can anyone explain what might be missing here?

It basically states that the client needs to produce the entitlements file and lists the following that the client will provide themselves:
A “Mobile Provisioning Profile”
An “Entitlements.plist”
An “iOS Distribution Certificate”
iReSign OS X app (or you could use command line)

Hi Guys does anyone know of a way i can get cyclops speed camera alert to work through bluetooth incar hands free kit , i used to be able to connect it via an app called drivesafely but this app is no longer available in apple store ????????????
I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. What you need is to buy a HDMI Detective Plus which tricks the Mac in to always seeing a signal and hence it will not drop down the resolution. See http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems. -
Theres this app called ifunny which lets you upload and save funny photos and ever since i got the app it made an album in my pictures called ifunny and inside are all the photos that i saved (Like instagrams save to camera roll option) What i would like to know is how can i delete those photos (375 to be exact) from the camera roll and of the album.
To delete the pictures, go to your photos app and press albums. Press edit at the top right hand side press the circle with the minus button and then press delete. To delete the pictures from your camera roll, go on the camera roll album, press edit, press the photos to delete, and press the delete button at the bottom right hand corner.

When we attach photos to an email in the Apple Mail app, the photos appear tiny on gmail accounts.
When we attach photos to an email in the Apple Mail app, the photos appear tiny on gmail accounts. They are unable to download the file as the size sent. We have tested this in multiple gmail accounts and we have tried sending as different sizes and actual size with no difference. Other photos attached in other ways come through fine. This seems to be a a result of the recent iphotos to photos app update.
Please advise on if this is a bug with how mail is ending the photos or how gmail is receiving them.Try using Mail as the email client for iPhoto and see if that will fix the problem:

An app called "Secret Files X" corrupted my files. I can't open/move my photos. Please help.
I downloaded an app called "Secret Files X" in order to keep some of my photos private. The app wanted me to "Add Volume to Management" and I did what it had asked for. (I didn't know what this meant and I still don't know.) Now, I can't open or move any of the photos that I wanted the app to hide. I even uninstalled the app but the files are still unmanageable. Please help, the photos were very important to me.

the recent OS update has deleted all my pics from an app called "my photos" is there any way to get these back?
If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

You're right - it is never a good idea to click on links sent in an email unless you are absolutely certain they are legitimate, and that is only becoming more difficult as spammers and phishing attempts are getting better every day. Having no association with Verizon is all the more reason to simply delete the thing.
Next, by supplying your email address all you did was confirm to whatever site was sending you this spam that your email address was legitimate. Again, when in doubt just delete the email and forget you ever saw it.

The good news is that is highly unlikely. The bad news is that your email address might be used as the "from" address for spam sent to others, and that you are only more likely to get more spam from the phony Verizon site as well as every other potentially malicious operators.
The best advice would be to simply abandon that email address, but if you can live with the previous potential concerns it would be overkill. I would recommend changing your passwords for financial institutions (banks, credit cards and so forth) as well as your email account or accounts. That is simply good practice whether or not you did what you did.
As far as any malware is concerned, again that is unlikely, but make sure you run Software Update to get all Apple's latest updates.
