Missing Apps - Itunes turned off while backing up
My dad turned off itunes while i was backing up my ipod touch. Now most of my apps are missing. What can I do to get it back
Why not just sync them from your iTunes library?
You can however, redownload them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I recently restored my iPhone 4s from back-up after being reset. An app that I had turned off in back-up did not show up in my recent resoration. I forgot to turn the app back on. Would there be any way I would be able to get the data from that app onto my phone? Is it possible to put an old back-up on my phone?

I believe you are missing the point. The OP has already restored from back up, but failed to include a specific app in the back up and is trying to recover data for it, which in this case is not possible. -
In updating my iPod to 6.1.2, I received an error during the update. Now, my ipod is not rebooting. It continues to display a screen showing usb to Itunes picture. Turning off and back on, it goes back to this picture. I don't know how to reset so that I can restore from my backup.
A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad. But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup. How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?Try:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

tried upgrading to ios7 then said i didnt have enough storage so attempted to delete apps in usage and turned my icloud on, now iphone wont leave the settings app. cant turn off or return to home. tried connecting to itunes and no change. help!
You need to reset the phone, but that requires a functioning on/off (lock) button. Time to visit Apple.

My iphone 5 will freeze up and turn off and back on. It will go to the apple screen and then go black MULTIPLE times before it comes back on. No buttons work while this happens. My phone is a week old.
User troubleshooting is restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If you perform these steps and it still doesn't work, then make an appointment at the Apple Genius bar and have the hardware checked.

What do I do if my ipod touch was turned off while it was updating to the new IOS? I cannot get it to turn back on or talk to the computer. It either shows the start apple screen or a blank white screen.
to all who have taken the time and effort to read my post....thank you. I was certain last night that I would be taking my Macbook into the Apple Store 7 hours drive from my location. I last used it with an Ethernet connection last night. I am up eary and I just turned it on and the WiFi is working again. ?? ???? ?? I have no idea.
Thanks to the firt person who replied especially and gave some suggestions. I am going to take it in to an Apple store in Toronto soon and leave it with them fo a couple of days. (I even deleted my VPN and it is a paid suscription). -
I upgraded my 3rd gen iTouch to iOS 5.1.1 and now its speed to repond is slower and the battery goes flat quicker than before the upgrade. Skype, Sky iCloud and other apps are turned off (I think). Has anybody else suffered with this? Any ideas?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -
Macbook Pro camera turns off and back on.
When I am videochating with my friends or for any reason I have my camera on, most of the times the camera turns off (Green Light Off) and then back on. While the light turns off my video gets stuck and then when the camera turns back on the video continues to function normally but it bother me a lot because it is a new computer I just bought for christmas and whenever I am videochatting the camera turns off and back on. PLEASE HELP!

I noticed from the pics that your location setting is "untitled." Have you tried the "Automatic" setting? Run the diagnostic test? Results?
Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

The monitor on my macbook is turned off while I was working, I could not in any way to do it again, I could see through the screen off the open pages I was working on, I had to turn off the machine and restart it. and it runs. My iphone 6 turned off while i was using face time and it returns with the screen saying Hello mean its reset automatically how is this possible ? Who set up the phone? Who's Apple ID was used to activate it? -
MY phone turned off while texting battery at 72%. I tried turning it on but screen stays black.
First, try to reset the phone by pressing the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back. You will not lose data by resetting.

Not enough free storage space can slow your Mac down. Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage. Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
Anti virus software, as well as third party Mac cleaning utilities such as MacKeeper and CleanMyMac can also slow your Mac down.
Check to see if the startup disk needs repairing.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.
Make sure to back up all important data first before using OS X Recovery. -
Keyboard backlight does not turn off while watching video
I just discovered this issue on my new macbook air (haswell). I also found a thread on it here from back in 2009, apparently it's been an issue for 4 years!!!???
In that thread people noted that if the backlight is set to anyhing more than 5 seconds, the backlight won't turn off while watching a video, but at 5 seconds, turns off fine as it should.
Anyone have any ideas? Just seems like it needs to be taken seriously by Apple and fixed in a future OSX update.Try resetting your SMC:

About your question of connecting the Elitepad directly to another PC via USB.
Since the tablet is considered a full windows PC, you cannot connect it directly to another PC via USB.
Androids and Apple iphones, etc etc. are different than a windows PC. Even if you used an OTG usb cable.
Windows PC's could be connected via a crossover cable but it is very particular and requires an ethernet port on both machines.
You can connect them via a Network though, like connecting via a Home Group through a wireless connection.
Better still, you can backup your files on a cloud service like Dropbox, Onedrive or Google and then download them to the other machine. If both machines are using Windows 8.1, you can use HP Connect to backup and transfer files.
If you have a usb to micro usb adapter, you can use a pen drive to tranfer files with.
I do not know anything about the magazine articles you are downloading, but if done so via an app in the Windows store, couldnt those be redownloaded anyway without transfering?
IF the tablet is still under warranty and the charging port is loose, you can contact HP Support to see what your options are.
