Missing Arrow pictures in iWeb Slide Show

iWeb creates navigation items for slide shows created with photo pages.
Now due to the closing down of me.com these images have disappeared.
Here an example of one of these items:

I use iWeb 3.0.4.
It's an oversight that is not very Apple like, please get these images back on the server quickly, to confirm that you are a company that puts quality first. Thank you!

Why should this be a problem?
it would be a problem when you design web sites for multi client:
1) it's not fair to one client to be leeched by others.
2) when the image host server goes down, other clients are hosed... just like with mme.
but if you have a neater solution please publish it
what's there for me to publish, it's an installation package and I have it.

Why would you want to crticise OT's method
not crticising, just pointing out the flaws... it's an open forum.
It may be that the iWPopUpSlideshow.js is not the "proper place" to modify the slideshow but it works.
The "missing control background image" is easily fixed by changing the file paths in the iWPopUpSlideshow.css file in the resources folder.
that's just to prove iWPopUpSlideshow.js is not the proper place.
hint: slideshow.html is the file uses both iWPopUpSlideshow.js and iWPopUpSlideshow.css, start from there.

How do I re-order pictures in the slide show feature?

I am wanting to periodically add pictures to the slide show. Is there a way to...1. re-order the pictures? and 2. Have the latest one added be the picture that is the one first seen when the page is opened?

You can delete them and re-add them accordingly or you can use random which would show the random order of images.
Another workaround can be be done using layers, where you can drag the image to the desired position which you want to show in order with slideshow.

* You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
* You can check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
* You can check the Tools > Page Info > Media tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.

How can I arrange the order of pictures in a slide show and add a caption to each?

I go to:www.photoshop.com/users/name. Then to My Gallery and click onto the album name then to "slide show." I want to reorder the pictures and add captions. How?

Go to your photoshop.com website. Log in if needed. Click on "Online Tools." Choose "Photoshop Express Organizer." Click and drag photos into the order you want.
Captions might best be added in the Elements Editor Organizer (99jon is correct) by double-clicking on thumbnail to make a full screen image, then a line appears under the photo and asks you to print your caption there. Sync it with your online website.

Pictures lost in Slide Show

I added pictures from my flash drive into a slide show in Elements 6.0. I saved the slide show as a project. Several days later when I opened the project from the Organizer, the slides were black except for the text I had added. I assume I have lost the link to my pictures although I have not moved the flash drive since I made the slide show. How can I retrieve my pictures?

The photos have never appeard in Organizer because I imported them from my Flash Drive directly into the slide show. I have, however, opened,
edited, saved, closed, and reopened the slide show several times and the pictures were in the slide show. Now, all of a sudden, they have disappeared.
I was hoping to avoid saving the pictures in Organizer before adding them to the slide show... must I do that?

Pictures in iDVD slide show keep auto adjusting

Hi,
I'm knew to iDVD. I am a professional photographer and prior to iDVD used another piece of software to create DVD slideshows.
I created my first iDVD slide show, and encountered a weird issue. The only transition I'm using is a dissolve; it seems that at the time the slide show was being rendered, images were somehow being "auto adjusted" for exposure. The images come on the TV, then they automatically adjust for exposure; iDVD attempts to make lighter images dark and darker images lighter. It is annoying. Anyone know how to turn this "auto exposure" adjustment off?
I looked everywhere for help on this issue: I.E. turn off "auto adjust", but to no avail.

IWeb Slide Show

After my thumbnails are all loaded and I start my music, I click on the slide show icon. Sometimes it will get "stuck" or sometimes a blank will come up with just the caption. If I look that the small images at the top, a few may have a blue square with a question mark in it. Above where the images are, "loading" is displayed, but all of the thumbnails are loaded. Other times the slide show works perfectly, displaying each image for about five seconds. Is there any explanation for this behavior and any way to avoid it?

You can kill it with Blinne's Vampire script.
You need to edit your SlideShow.html file, add this line:

I am trying to find a way to get iPhoto to display the keywords when I look at the pictures in a slide show

I have l lot of pictures of several trips and I display them on the screen as a screen saver. Many of the places I don't remember where I took them, but I made notes as keywords. How or what can I do to diasplay the keywords with the pictures?
I would buy another app if I know it will work for me.

Sorry but I know of no app that will display keywords during Slideshow. Several - including iPhoto - will display the title and you can change lots of titles quite quickly using the Batch Change command. As to what gets displayed during a ScreenSaver that's a matter for the individual screensaver.

Which operating system are you running on?
Which version of Photoshop Elements are you using?
If you have made changes to a photo, those changes have to be saved before you can use that photo in a slideshow. Where you save it is really up to you.
Do you use the organizer and import all your photos into it? Please note that Elements itself does not keep a copy of your photos - you always have control over where the photos are stored. The elements organizer just saves the links to your photos.
If you have selected a photo in the organizer and then selected edit, the editor will open and you can make your changes. While the photo is open in the editor, it is marked as locked in the organizer. When you have finished editing the photo, save it and the close it in the editor. The lock in the organizer is then released.

Slide show cuts off pictures in iDVD

OK - So I'm about to go somewhat crazy.
I have pictures in iphoto that I have put into a slideshow. I am using scrapbook themes. I get the pictures into the slide show and have selected my music. I have exported to iDVD. My problem is that after I do the menus and everything looks good, I burn the DVD and when I play it, it cuts off some of the pictures. I have tried both formats 16:9 and 4:3 with no luck. I have gone into preferences and checked "scale to tv safe area" but can't get anything to work. Am I missing something simple or can anyone help.
As an additional note I have attempted to use the "show tv safe area" from the menus to preview as it says in the help section. However, it will show the red rectangle on the "title" part of iDVD but when the movie starts the red rectangle disappears. Don't know if this is a glitch with 09 or what.
Any help is appreciated.

Picture Tasks / Export to slide show -All gone for a Toss..Bad Adobe

In the older versions, there was a picture tasks menu, which allowed be to export the pictures to a slide show with music.Thats option is gone now in Acrobat professional 8 / 8.1.
Why Adobe is degrading its products!!! I regret purchasing the new version...
is there any way to do this?
I covert all my jpegs to a single pdf & then export it to a slide show...
Now I'm struck after upgrading to the new version..
if this option is not there..I'm sure I'm going to return the product ( creative suite)

It sounds like you may have had a plug-in that did the extra things you are talking about. You can make a slide show with transitions and all, but it takes time is not a simply menu item. You can set the timing for each slide or the timing as a whole. Adding music is an additional step. All of this can be done in Acrobat, but the automated aspect you mention is not part of Acrobat. Again, you may have used a plug-in that did it all for you. You might check PlanetPDF or the PDFZone to see if there are such plug-ins available.

Changing black background on slide show

does anyone know how to change the background on the iWeb slide shows so that the black background is not visible and there is no "picture reflection"? I would prefer the slide show to have the whole picture with no background.

The "Previous to iWeb '08" does not have the option to change the Slideshow background or reflections; it would be necessary to upgrade to iWeb 2.x in iLife'08.

Slide Show ERROR, Internal software\Vobulator\BlockPlanner\.cpp Line 217

I'm putting together a slide show DVD. There are a total of 7 slide shows containing 480 pictures. All pictures are jpg's about 1000X1600 pixels and 500KB-700KB each. I have 3 menus for navigation. Not all of the chapter menu buttons point to a "slide show", some of them point to a picture inside certain slide shows according to my client's requests. (example, slide show 1 contains 70 pictures. Chapter 1 points to "slide show 1" Chapter 2 points to "slide show 1 photo 50"). All slide shows are linked so that when the first slide show is over, it will automatically "end action" to the next slide show etc... All my settings are typical. NTSC 4:3 SD 720X480 progressive.
There are NO video files in my DVD at all. No timelines at all. No audio at all.
The Symptoms/problem that I'm getting is this, when I try to Preview my DVD and ALSO when I try to build my DVD, the build will go through and "build the slide shows" then after it does that, this will come up

With the help of posts from this forum I got the audio up and running on a couple slide shows. I'd like refine a couple things, so has anybody done any of the following:
1) Can the pictures in the slide show fade in and fade out for better picture to picture transitions?
2) Can the play/pause button for the audio be changed? I'd like to add volume and maybe a percent indicator while the audio is loading.
3) Could the slide show start AFTER the audio is loaded? By the time the audio starts the slide show is usually on the 2nd slide.
4) Sometimes the audio will not loop. I think this depends on how the slide show window was closed. If the same page is reloaded again, the audio usually doesn't loop. Is there a way to re-initialize the slide show audio to guarantee it will loop each time.
5) Will the audio work if the end-user doesn't have quicktime on the computer?

Yes, but you will have to do extra works with javascript. There is a transition variable in slideshow javascript, but there is no control over the slide duration (it's fixed and there is now way to change it). This can cause some strange effects.

QT is preloaded in a mac, but not so for pcs; so QT needs to be installed on a pc.
