Missing auto duplex option in Win 7 for LaserJet P2015dn

I moved my Laserjet P2015dn from a Windows XP to a Windows 7 machine.  Now I cannot find the option to use the automated duplexing.  The only thing I can find is an option to mannually duplex.
This question was solved.

    Directions for manual duplex printing for LaserJet P1102w

    Since this is not an auto duplex printer, you will need to go into your printer properties and set the allow manual duplex check box. Once you have set it there it will duplex all the time.
    Start menu >Device and Printers Folder > Right click on the printer > choose printer preferences > finishing tab (I think that is what it is called, if not look for the tab that has...print on both sides (manually) or allow manually duplexing (Sorry, I don't have this printer hooked up to a test box or I would get you a screenshot )
    If you want to only duplex certain jobs, then you can do this through the application at the time you pick your printer by selecting printer properties (located under your printer selection button) and setting it for only that one job.
    Open application > File > Print > Printer Properties > finishing tab  (steps are the same as above)
    Just remember...
    Box checked = duplex (default option so this should already be set unless you have unchecked it)
    Box unchecked = not duplex
    Last word of caution on these instructions...you may have some variation as I am going off my memory here....my printer is not hooked up.

  • HP Laserjet p2015d auto duplex printing with Windows 7 64 bit operating system

    I have used the HP Laserjet p2015d with Windows 7 32 bit operating system and have been able to use the AUTOMATIC DUPLEX feature of the printer without problems.
    Now, however, I have installed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 operating system and the AUTO DUPLEX does not work and is not shown as being available on the PROPERTIES menu of the printer.
    Is it possible to use the AUTO DUPLEX  feature of  the printer with Windows 7   64 bit  operating system.
    All replies welcomed!   Aaron in Calif.

    Hi Aaron,
    Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:
    Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
    Click the Device Settings tab.
    Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
    Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.

  • Manual duplex for LaserJet 1300 in Windows 8.1

    Hello.
    I'm using HP LaserJet 1300 under windows 8.1. I can't print pdf file on both sides of the page. When I choose this option it just prints the whole document. This printer is also used for windows XP and windows 7 and manual both side printing works fine there. I've installed drivers form hp site for windows 8.1
    Help me please.

    I have the same problem. Is there a solution? Even when it says it is printing double-sided it does not, and it's incredibly wasteful of paper! I see a lot of people asking the same question on different discussions and have only seen one answer that required modifying text in an .xml file. However, I could not find the file that the person referenced. This is the answer I saw (found at https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/171987b1-0d50-4dbb-93c7-67067eb0fbf7/hp-la...  I believe they were using a different driver. Is there a similar answer for the PCL5 driver for Win8.1 64 bit?
    Open the file called "hpcu1306.xml". You will probably find it under "C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3" ("C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\XXX\3" for non-x64 systems).
    6. Search for this passage:
    <!-- ========================================= -->
    <!-- Manual Duplex -->
    <!-- ========================================= -->
    7. Search in this section for:
    <prn_grp models="HP LASERJET P3005 ;HP LASERJET P3004 ;HP LASERJET P2015 SERIES ;HP LASERJET P2015D ;
    HP LASERJET P2015N ;HP LASERJET P2015DN ;HP LASERJET P2015X ;HP LASERJET P2014 SERIES ;
    8. Replace it with this:
    <prn_grp models="HP LASERJET 1300; HP LASERJET 1300N; HP LASERJET P3005 ;HP LASERJET P3004 ;HP LASERJET P2015 SERIES ;HP LASERJET P2015D ;
    HP LASERJET P2015N ;HP LASERJET P2015DN ;HP LASERJET P2015X ;HP LASERJET P2014 SERIES ;
    9. Save the file and reboot your computer.
    Done you now have manual duplex function for HP LaserJet 1300

  • How to set auto delete option for old messages

    Hi All,
    Can any one help me on how to set auto delete option for mails older than 15 days from my Z10.
    James Kurian

    There is no such option in BB 10.
    However, you can achieve a similar result by setting your email sync timeframe to 14 days (the closest option).
    If you are using an ActiveSync account (such as Hotmail, Outlook.com), go to Settings > Accounts > select the account. Tap advanced at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to the very bottom, tap Sync Timeframe and set to 14 days.
    If you are using an IMAP account (such as Gmail or GMX), you will have to delete, then re-add your account.  The Sync Time frame is only avaialble during setup for these accounts.  When adding, tap advanced at the bottom of the screen and set the Sync Timeframe.
    Hope this helps.

  • MF Toolbox wont give auto feed option for scanner

    We've sucessfully used our MF4350d for months.  No problems with MF toolbox until randomly the auto feed option for scanning disappeared and the only option on drop down from toolbox when selecting source is platen glass.
    When contacting canon for assistance to resolve this, I was told support for something so clearly a canan software issue and not a printer issue would cost $99.99. Beyod the cost of going out and buying a new scanner from a different company.  I hope canon can show some customer care and help resolve this issue.

    Hi bowski.
    I will be glad to assist you.
    Please note that Canon does not charge for technical support by telephone.  To contact us, please call 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday (excluding holidays), from 8:00AM - 8:00PM.
    So that I can better assist you with the MF Toolbox, I would like to ask a few questions.
    1.  Which operating system is installed on your computer?
    2.  How did you install the drivers and software onto the computer?
    I look forward to your reply.  Should you need immediate assistance, please contact us at the number above and a telephone support representative will be able to assist you.

    Hello SLLH
    You can find the settings for the Passcode Lock in Settings > General > Passcode Lock. If you are looking for Auto-Lock, then go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock. If you are not seeing these options then you may need to do a reset settings on your iPhone, which is located at General > Settings >Reset > Reset All Settings.

  • The default account option in iOS for contacts is missing; while I have multiple account options for mail and contacts are turned on for iCloud and other accounts.

    The default account option in iOS for contacts is missing; while I have multiple account options for mail and contacts are turned on for iCloud and other accounts.  I previously was able to select between my Microsoft Exchange Contacts (work account) and iCloud (personal), but both those options are now gone.  I tried turning contacts for both off and on and rebooting, but it didn't help.  Any ideas?

    Just a guess but if the exchange account is from your employer, your employer may have installed a security profile to your device preventing you from adding or editing contacts in the exchange account by removing the Default Account setting.  You would need to check with your employer's IT department to confirm this.  You could also test this by adding a Gmail account and turning on contacts syncing with Gmail to see if the setting reappears.

  • Manual Duplexing use on a HP Laserjet P1102w printer-How is it done?

    This is a first using a manual duplex option on a printer and I have been unable to print on both sides of an HP Laserjet P1102w printer, despite doing the following:
    Went to Print Setup
    Under Finish: chose Print on Both Sides Manually
    Left edge binding
    and although it prints....I can't seem to get the 'booklet' to print correctly on the other side; Not even sure how to correctly get the paper in so it doesn't double print on the same page.
    : I've tried to print first reverse pages,
    then even pages in reverse,
    but still unable to get the pages in order to fold and create a booklet or print multiple pages on both sides...has anyone had experience with this on what is the best way to try and print documents in booklet form or just both pages to save paper?
    Is there a driver or support that will help with this?
    No visual screen pops up on the monitor to help with placing the papers so it will print correctly and I have already tried with just a 6 page booklet and failed there.
    I've tried googling the results, checked the HP website for any information and either have missed the support information to do this or assume there is none.
    Any insight would be appreciated.

  • Auto Duplex works on computer, but not in Remote Desktop

    Hi Everyone,
    We recently moved to a Server 2008 R2 print server. Many of our users use Remote Desktop to run applications on servers, one of which is a 32-bit Server 2003 box. We have a LaserJet 4350 with an automatic duplexer. The duplexing works correctly on client
    machines running 32-bit XP, but as soon as these users try to print a document in an RD session to the same 4350 (redirected though), the auto duplexing will not work.
    I loaded the same 32bit driver on the Server 2003 box as is on the Server 2008 R2 print server, and thus the XP client machines. Any ideas why this would not work? It seems like it would be a driver issue, but I'm not sure why the redirected printer would
    be using a different driver than the one installed on the client machine.
    Thanks!

    Hi Amman,
    Unfortunately Easy Print is not currently an option for us to use as the server the users are connecting to through RD is a 2003 server.
    Here is another, hopefully better, explanation of the issue at hand: we have a print server running on a 2008 R2. One of the printers connected to that server is a LaserJet 4350 with an auto duplexer. The driver being used is the in-box Windows 7/Server
    2008 driver. The client in question uses an XP Pro SP3 machine, and uses the 32-bit driver. The client connects with RD (with the option to redirect printers enabled) to a 2003 server.
    If the user prints a document and selects the option to duplex from their XP client machine, the document prints and is automatically duplexed as it should be. If the user is on the Server 2003 server and prints a document to the *redirected* printer with
    the option to duplex, the auto duplexer does not work and the document must be manually duplexed. The driver installed on the Server 2003 server is the very same 32-bit driver installed on the XP client machine.
    Hope that clears it up!
    Thanks,
    -MRCUR

  • Duplex printing with HP Color Laserjet 4650dn

    Dear all,
    I wanted to print the handouts of a Powerpoint presentation (Office for Mac 2008, v12.2.5), but could not get a double-sided copy. The printer (HP CLJ 4650 dn) is installed with the OS X 10.6.4 embedded drivers etc. as HP CLJ 4650. Works fine otherwise.
    The settings for the printer in System Preferences/Print Fax/General indicate that I apparently have a driver version 16.4. By accessing the Printer Webpage I have set the duplex option ON and checked all the other options for there settings. As far as I know it seems correct.
    I have ticked the box Duplex Unit in System Preferences/Print Fax/Driver.
    However, when I want to print the slides/handouts and open the print window I can only see Manual Duplex as an option in the drop-down menu Copies & Pages. No straight forward Duplex Printing or Automatic Duplex Printing option whatsoever of which the printer is capable.
    No problem with the two remaining MS Windows Vista PC's, which frustrates me.
    Have I missed something? Or done something wrong/different?
    If anyone has a suggestion I would be grateful.
    Kind regards,
    John Keasberry

    Have you taken a look to the configuration of the Printer? I have a HP 2340 with duplex and to configure it I have to do the following:
    On the Preferences Pane, click on Printing and Fax or open the Printer configuration Utility. In any case, click on the printer and choose "Configuration of the printer" (in the Printer utility this is in the pritner menu). Then you will see information of the printer... May be there you have an option to activate the duplex... In may case there is a checkbox.
    But may be you have done this...
    Bests,
    Álvaro
