Missing back of PC cover for MSI motherboard

Hello I have looked high and low, I purchased an MSI motherboard about a year ago, it shipped without the silver metal cutout which covers the back of the motherboard (the connectors) and keeps out dust and stray RF.  I have been having a fair amount of crashes lately and it's because this is missing and stray radio waves are interfering and crashing my computer.
The system board I have is:  MSI 880GM-E41 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Where can I purchase a replacement cover for this system board please??  Surely someone can help.
Thanks

You're PC crashes are not likely to be caused by stray RFI. You must have something else causing the crashes. There are plenty of us that have before and run now PCs outside of a case with no I/O shield and the metal case to shield the MB from RFI so whoever gave you the idea that RFI is causing the crash problem is wrong.
No harm in trying to find the I/O plate/shield but you need to look at other possible causes for the crashing.
First thing you need to do here is provide a list of the components in the PC so we can help you find the real cause of your problem.
You would think that, but my PC actually drives a 50W UHF paging transmitter for a community, and we've traced down the crashes to whenever a specific paging message is transmitted.  If I lower the power output of the paging transmitter to a few watts it doesn't crash the PC.  This is a little more power than your normal home.  I will check the link provided by the poster above.

  • Missing BIOS 26.4 file for MSI H97M ECO motherboard

The BIOS 26.4 file seems to be missing from the download page for the MSI H97M ECO motherboard - I get an error when clicking on the link in the UK download site.
I have installed the 26.3 file instead and I am getting very strange fan rpm on the ECO Center Pro tool - sometimes is shows around 700-800 rpm which is probably correct but it also shows much higher numbers such as 24,000 or 50,000 rpm!

The bios has been removed that's why. Global just shows 26.3 being latest: http://www.msi.com/support/mb/H97M-ECO.html#down-bios
Wait for MSI to fix it and re-release it. Usually versions are removed for a good reason (e.g. a bug).

  • LCD Back Cover for MSI GT780DXR

    Hi people
First of all hi everyone in this forum
I just recently broke the LCD back cover from my MSI GT780DXR in the area of the right hinge. The "structures" for the screws are broken from the cover, and after trying to glue it back I desist and I'm searching for a new cover
I've been surfing the internet trying to find the cover for my model (apparently the msi 1761 "structure") and the only place I have found the actual cover is in rkcomputers. Is really expensive (125$!!) but the problem is that they apparently don't send products to Europe (I live in Denmark).
    Anyone here can help my?

  • The extreme environmental testing of MSI motherboards

After the motherboards were mass produced from factory, the boards will begin its trip by different transportation way, such as by air, by sea or by land. This means more strict challenge for the product itself during the trip until it reach user’s hand. For instance; Long distance shipping makes the container suffers high temperature, the warm and humid in such close space could reach to 65 degree high temperature sometimes. Furthermore, the motherboard may experience low temperature below zero sometimes in high-latitude regions in the very cold winter. Therefore, in order to ensure that our motherboard could take the extreme variations and still maintain a certain quality, the "extreme environmental testing” would be one of the important verification to insure the product reliability.
With exposing motherboards in extreme environmental for the strict testing, we break down the defective list from different forecast reason and apply the improvement for either selection of high quality and stable materials, manufacturing procedure and product design. The process was downsized from a 6-month to one-year inspection cycle into one-week. in order to feedback the improvement to R&D as reference for the future R&D and design on MSI motherboards, helps to improve the issue and remain the product quality.
The extreme environmental testing for MSI motherboards includes the following facts:
    1.   Full loading the system by executed the burn-in test tool, then moving the system between the extreme high and extreme low temperatures. Make sure the product can pass the stability testing in varies environment.
    2.   System start-up and turn-off cycle testing between extreme high and extreme low temperature; insure the electrical characteristics could still adapt the environment and working properly.
    3.   Test the settings mix with different voltage and temperature-humidity, observing and interact the product capacity as improvement basis. During the procedure, senior engineers with extensive experience will keep monitoring to ensure that the system and various functions maintain the normal operation, even encountered in extreme weather conditions.
Rigorously tested above items in order to strengthen the motherboards capability, improve reliability and robustness. Through each verify procedure states for separate purpose but each of those item are connected closely as each could testing result decide the product quality become a perfect motherboard. The testing procedure not only insures the MSI motherboards can working properly though varies transportation and environment. Besides the testing procedure for regular motherboard, the testing rule can also customized and fit for the requirement for Business customer.
MSI insist the best quality in every detail, care about the product quality and bringing user the best experience.

Full loading the system by executed the burn-in test tool, then moving the system between the extreme high and extreme low temperatures. Make sure the product can pass the stability testing in varies environment?
are u kidding me? this is sooo awesome!
free burning test! nice quality control

  • Is there a  reason to purchase a protective cover for the back of the iPad2?

I am buying an iPad 2 soon and want to purchase the Zaggmate case with keyboard. The back of the iPad woud be exposed even though the screen would be protected. Is it necessary to purchase a cover for the back of the iPad other than for "gripping" reasons?

Purely personal preference, IMO.  In fact, any case is a matter of personal choice - I know many people who use their iPads naked as they don't like anything encumbering it.  Do what pleases and works for you.

    Correct.
You need to go to ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/.
The ~ indicates your User folder not the top level /Library/ folder.
Click on the desktop, then hold Option and go to Finder menu Go and Library will be there (only when holding Option as it is hidden).

  • Graphics driver details for MSI Z77MA-G45 and other motherboards

This is request for MSI to put more details of the on-board graphics capabilities.
My goal is to have four monitors by adding an additional PCIe graphics card.
Recent versions of Windows can only support multiple graphics cards if the drivers are essentially the same.
I would like to see enough information on the spec sheets for the integrated graphics so that I can decide what models of graphics cards I can buy so that Windows will work with my new card as well as the on-board graphics.
The spec sheet says Radeon but I think that there are many options in the Radeon family.
    Thanks

  • Looking for MSI K8N Neo 'Spare part'

I have an MSI K8N Neo-FSR that I recently bought from Newegg.
Awesome board, very happy with it so far, BUT....it didn't come with the back plate! You know, the part that fits over the ports - USB, PS/2, serial, parallel, etc - that mounts to the PC's chasis?
    Missing!
If anyone has a spare one that would fit a K8N Neo-FSR, I'd really appreciate them getting in touch with me! Email addy is in profile!

You can e-mail MSI Customer Service and ask them for one and they will more than likely send it to you. I bought a refurbished MSI motherboard last year and when I asked them for an I/O Shield, they asked if there was anything else I needed for my motherboard. They shipped it UPS and I got it in a couple of days (no charge to me). They're pretty good about standing behind thier stuff, so it's worth a shot.
