Missing BIOS 26.4 file for MSI H97M ECO motherboard
The BIOS 26.4 file seems to be missing from the download page for the MSI H97M ECO motherboard - I get an error when clicking on the link in the UK download site.
I have installed the 26.3 file instead and I am getting very strange fan rpm on the ECO Center Pro tool - sometimes is shows around 700-800 rpm which is probably correct but it also shows much higher numbers such as 24,000 or 50,000 rpm!
The bios has been removed that's why. Global just shows 26.3 being latest: http://www.msi.com/support/mb/H97M-ECO.html#down-bios
Wait for MSI to fix it and re-release it. Usually versions are removed for a good reason (e.g. a bug).

The Comparing RAW with TS Time Lapse Recording file for MSI PANOCAM
I am a big fan of MSI, I have been using its motherboard, MP3 and NB. MSI introduces a new IOT product in 2015, MSI PANOCAM, I feel excited about it, therefore I wanna share some experience of MSI PANOCAM here.
Have you heard Time-Lapse, it is very popular skill for movie and advertisement. it looks very interesting because Time-Lapse shows interval recording fast forwarded. It has been widely used in various industry, such as observation of flower growth; building construction and natural scene change.
The Comparing Analysis of RAW and TS file for Time Lapse
How to manage time lapse recording file is critical problem in the marketplace many end-users encountered. Generally speaking, there are two categories file have been used as Time Lapse recording, one is RAW file and another one is TS file.
The advantage of RAW would be better video retouched, such as more flexibility of colorful balance, color temperature adjustment and less Zoom in/out distortion. Especially, RAW is quite suitable for weak light resource environment and low speed camera shutter. Therefore, the requirement capacity of RAW file is larger than TS.
As beginner, be familiar with TS is suggested here, you can not perform as high quality as professional RAW quality until you learn proper shooting skill. Practicing shooting skill is necessary and should be prior than video retouching.
Left part is shooting by TS and ambiguous scene can be seen; Right part is RAW which demonstrates more detail sceneTo change the amount of time you want each frame to display, you can do one of 2 things:
-Change the frame rate of the Image Sequence in the Media settings (select the layer and typ Shift F). If the frame rate is less than the project frame rate, your clip will play more slowly. If the frame rate is greater than the project frame rate, it will play more quickly.
-Change the Speed in the Timing section (Inspector->Properties->Timing). This is the method I think most people use.
To blend the frames, change the Frame blending option, also in the Timing section of the properties. -
New bios (when) for MSI 865PE-LS motherboard

JRE8 U20: CAB file for MSI missing
Hello @all,
we deploy JRE by extracting the setup to gain the MSI file. In former versions, we got the following files:
jre_1.8.0_11.msi
jre1031.MST
Data1.cab
With Update 20, there is only the MSI file in the folder. When we run the MSI file we get the error message that "one part of the file is corrupt or missing" during the Installation.
Is this by design? If so, which possibilities to we have now to deploy Java by MSI? We do not have a software deployment system, we use Active Directory software Installation which only works with MSI files.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
BenHello,
I figured this out - the error appears, when you start the MSI file directly per double click. When you install it per command line (msiexec /i ...) it works.
Where is the difference?
Best regards
Ben -

Missing the install.app file for Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended...
Recently, I purchased a new Mac computer. We noticed there was not a CD drive, so we moved the Photoshop files over to a USB from my old computer. But, when we tried to open and install Photoshop, the install.app file was missing. The other install files were only compatible with Windows computers.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?KylieSommer wrote:
So, I checked out the second linnk and it says something about needing an upgrade if I don't have to most recent version? Does that mean I'll need to upgrade to Photoshop CC before I can get a cross grade? Or can I keep the CS6 Extended version?
Adobe loves confusing people with their marketing copy. Without trying, they often obfuscate the simplest of processes with poor wording.
The platform swap process only applies to perpetually licensed versions since they're tied to platform specific serial numbers: Mac or Windows, never both ( applies to CS6 and lower). Not CC which is licensed for both Mac and/or Windows via your Adobe ID, so there's no platform swapping necessary.
What Adobe is trying to say is that you can only swap platforms for the most current perpetually licensed version.
e.g. CS6 Windows can be transferred to CS6 Mac.
However, CS5 Windows cannot be transferred to CS5 Mac. You must pay the upgrade cost from CS5 to CS6 and swap platforms at the same time (that's a crossgrade). e.g. CS5 Windows to CS6 Mac is OK.
Photoshop CC is entirely different. It is available to anyone but only via subscription, even without ever previously owning any Adobe software. There's no upgrading or crossgrading. You simply join up - but keep in mind that you never own the software.
You don't need CS5 or CS6 to start subscribing to Photoshop CC. There's no connection with your CS5 license other than you can use your CS5 license to get a discounted rate for the first 12 months of CC membership. -
Missing back of PC cover for MSI motherboard
Hello I have looked high and low, I purchased an MSI motherboard about a year ago, it shipped without the silver metal cutout which covers the back of the motherboard (the connectors) and keeps out dust and stray RF. I have been having a fair amount of crashes lately and it's because this is missing and stray radio waves are interfering and crashing my computer.
The system board I have is: MSI 880GM-E41 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Where can I purchase a replacement cover for this system board please?? Surely someone can help.
ThanksQuote from: XFM on 15-October-12, 11:18:32
You're PC crashes are not likely to be caused by stray RFI. You must have something else causing the crashes. There are plenty of us that have before and run now PCs outside of a case with no I/O shield and the metal case to shield the MB from RFI so whoever gave you the idea that RFI is causing the crash problem is wrong.
No harm in trying to find the I/O plate/shield but you need to look at other possible causes for the crashing.
First thing you need to do here is provide a list of the components in the PC so we can help you find the real cause of your problem.
You would think that, but my PC actually drives a 50W UHF paging transmitter for a community, and we've traced down the crashes to whenever a specific paging message is transmitted. If I lower the power output of the paging transmitter to a few watts it doesn't crash the PC. This is a little more power than your normal home. I will check the link provided by the poster above. -
Missing all the library files for adobe encore cs5
Ive had the suite up and running for a while... but i just the other day started to use encore... I wanted to make a menu but I didnt have any thing in the library. No files. I looked around... and couldnt really get a real answer
How can i get them?I'm still a little confused, but that may be because you are having an odd problem.
What I think is the case now is that you were in fact missing the library. You added the library to your system, and you do now find the files and directories in the Adobe/...whatever.../Encore/ directories. (Are you on a Mac? For some reason I got that idea, and was unsure how that would affect this.)
You do not say that you added these using the insturctions at:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb408826.html
and I do not know if the files are "registered" in any way. I believe they are not. If they are in the directories, then Encore will use them.
You do not say that you checked and the location in Encore preferences points to the location where you put the files. The fact that you now see the categories (the folder names) while you are running Encore, however, suggests that it is pointed to the right place.
BUT, when you click on one of those categories, none of the templates are there. It is as if you have the folders in the Encore library, but no files inside the folders (or the extensions are wrong).
Do I have this right? -

Closing open log file c:\debuglog3.txtI've done the 20x Memtest. No errors...
Meanwhile, my pc gave the BSOD again when I pressed the shutdown button.
Btw, is the minidump text of any use? I read elsewhere that this can pinpoint to the problem, but I don't know how to read it.
Anyway, here's the latest minidump text, if this is of use.
Thanks!
* Bugcheck Analysis *
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000b2, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000001c, IRQL
Arg3: 00000000, bitfield :
bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: 804fa276, address which referenced memory
Debugging Details:
ADDITIONAL_DEBUG_TEXT:
Use '!findthebuild' command to search for the target build information.
If the build information is available, run '!findthebuild -s ; .reload' to set symbol path and load symbols.

My Review for MSI Big Bang Xpower & Overclocked
This will be the very 1st X58 big bang series of MSI and the 1st X58 MSI motherboard to have USB 3.0 and SATA 3 connections. Targets the enthusiast, hardcore gamers as well as overclockers. This board is already equipped with OC Genie buttons which was first implemented for MSI P55 series motherboards. YOu will also see later that instead of the old power, reset and Direct OC Easy Buttons. They are all now soft touch. PCI slots were also removed and been replaced by PCIEx16. There will be x6 PCIEx16 slots for this board ready for multi gpu setups. Military Class Components are also implemented into the board like Solid Caps, better chokes and server grade caps.
Here you will see that the components around the socket area are well layout and very good in quality. These are Hi-C Cap on PWM and super ferrite chokes. Im sure this will provide the best efficient voltage to the processor during normal use and as well as during overclocking. See the two 8pin power connector for the Processor? This will provide more headroom for overclocking the processor especially for Gulftowns
Forgot to mention other things like The board has V-Check points to measure actual voltage for CPU Vcore, VTT, DDR and IOH. Debug led indicator for easy isolation of boot up problems or mobo problems. Jumper for removing voltage wall limits and lastly the board includes an audio card for best audio experience.
So next these are the rear ports
Bundled Accessories. Sata cables, Sata power, IDE cable, USB 2.0 Bracket, eSATA Pack, M-Connectors, V-check Cables and a great gadget for overclocking the board on the fly "OC Dashboard" (shows also the current temps, and voltages)
For some serious 2D Bench Results and overclock on air
First run. 4.6ghz Spi32M
Second run. 4.8ghz Spi32mQuote
What were your settings to get those overclocks?

I cannot download the latest update for itunes because it says that the file itunes.msi is missing
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

--Quick Guide for flashing BIOS, provided by MSI--
1. Create a MS-DOS boot diskette, then copy the the .exe and the bios file to the floppy disk. Both of these files can be found in the package you downloaded.
2. Press "Delete" and go to BIOS setup while computer bootup.
Check BIOS advanced features and see if BIOS flash write control is enabled
(This option must be enabled. If you can not find this setting, it means the BIOS can be
flashed.)
3. Boot from MS-DOS boot diskette and get a:\> prompt.
4. Type "", then press ENTER
5. The flash program will then ask "Do you want to save BIOS?", please press "N" for no. The when you see Press 'Y' to program or 'N' to Exit, please press "Y" to continue.
6. After flashing complete, remove floppy and reset the system .
7. Press DELETE or F1 when prompted at first reboot after flashing.
8. Load BIOS optimized defaults, then save settings and exits.
Drivers & Needed Files:
(Note: All these drivers are for Windows XP.)
Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.40
(Please use at your own risk, these are LEAKED drivers. Password for the .zip file is "ocworkbench rules". Also, you will need to rename the WinXP_2K folder in IDE to either WinXP or Win2K else the installer doesn't pick it up.) Thanks for the link Wonkanoby!
*NEW* Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 5.03
More leaked drivers? Seems some parts of the drivers are older and some are newer.
1. Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Web Install) -or- Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Full Install)
2. Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Web Install) -or- Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Full Install)
3. Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.24
4. AMD Athlon 64 Processor Driver Version 1.1.0.14
5. Nvidia Video Card Driver Version 56.72 -or- Omega Nvidia Video Card Driver Version v1.5303
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard Nvidia drivers.)
5. ATI Video Card Driver Version 4.7 -or- Omega ATI Video Card Driver Version 2.5.51
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard ATI drivers.)
6. Onboard Sound Driver (Realtek AC'97 Audio Codec) Version A3.61
It is HIGHLY reccomended that you install the drivers/needed files in the order listed above. Please note that there are two #5's because you either install one or the other depending on your video card, do not install both of them.
You will come across a problem here though. You can't install the chipset drivers without installing the Windows service pack and DirectX first, but the Windows service pack and DirectX installs need the internet to download files and you won't have working internet until you install the chipset drivers. Here's what I did to get around this. Instead of downloading the web install versions of Windows service pack and DirectX, download the full version and and put them along with all the other drivers on a backup hard drive or burn them to a CD, this way you will have all the drivers you need when it's time to install them and none of them will require the internet to download files.
Another note when installing drivers. Apparently the Nvidia chipset drivers also come with drivers for the onboard sound, but people seem to agree that the Realtek onboard sound drivers are better. When you are installing the Nvidia chipset drivers, just be sure to uncheck the box for sound drivers when it asks you which drivers you would like to install. Now you can safely install the Realtek drivers without any chance of conflicting sound drivers. Thanks for the tip Wonkanoby!Quote

So is SP1 still recommended to install before the nforce drivers?
The installer still reccomends to install it beforehand for full USB 2.0 functionality... I would have put what you said in there but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
oh. IIRC the installer just says USB 2.0 will be fully functional after SP1 is installed. So after you install SP1 you go into device manager and u click update driver and it will auto search and update the driver.
Simplicity-wise, i guess its pretty much equal. It might take less preparation to just copy DX9 full onto a CD and install that first, then nforce driver, then right away you have yoru internet connection.
but i dunno.. i guess i will try it your way this time when my RMA"d board comes.
i will be fomratting and doing a fresh install later on today and will let you know if i come across any problems -

Thank you.
Do you need me to upload the bios file? because I believe that the msi website has the 70R archive which made my laptop useless.
you mean you don't want latest version [70S or 70R],
but 70J exactly?
