Missing bluetooth and WLAN

I recently bought a MSI K8N Diamond SLI mainboard and the main reason was because according to MSI and all reviews I've read they also chipped a WLAN&Bluetooth card and antenna in th box. I payed 200 Euros for it and is says WLAN & Bluetooth card on the top of the box but there is nothing like it inside... ?? Are there different revisions of this board or what? An Asus SLI costs much less for the same features so I was really expecting something more and now I'm dissapointed.
Is it possible to buy this card sepperately or?

Ok, I'm about had it. This is the second time I encounter a mainboard from MSI thats missing acessories.  First time I bought a KT6Delta FIR2S mainboard, also at that time the mainboard was at the top range. When I buy a top range motherboard I expect to get the top product, not a "shaved" version. This time I had picked this motherboard, a new PCI-E gfx card and other stuff readt to be bougth in my store, a web store of cause. Luckily I checked out another store for the private marked (my store is for companies that sell and builds computers), and found MSI to play dirty again. I have been a loyal customer to MSI products all the way, and buildt hundreds of computers on MSI Mainboards. Now I think I'll going to se what others can offer instead. I mean, why should I visit a store when I feel ripped more than once? Printing on the white label? Sorry, I cant se that label. I just want to buy that top product, and GET the top product. Worst of all, MSI doesnt even make it possible to buy the lacking "goods". I phoned my online store last time offering to buy what was mising last time, and they told me that MSI wouldn't sell that stuff separate...
I wrote emails to MSI aswell, twice I think. Replies? Has not seen one yet.
I've been working in the gorcery marked some years ago, and we had a joke that was something like this: "If it hadn't been for the customers messing up our store, it would have looked nice all the time". "Dont' answer the customer, if you ignore him long enough, he might go away".
I wonder, is this MSI's view on the customer?
Am I annoying right now? I hope so, I'm a bit pissed. I WANT THAT FULL PRODUCT!!
I bougth a car 3 days ago. It was a stereo in it (not a great one, but its ok). Actually I hasn't recived yhe money from the bank yet, so I have to wait a day or two to get the car. But when I get it I expect the stereo to be inside, if not I've been cheated. I feel its the same thing MSI is doing now.
This is the words of an annoyed previous Norwegian customer of MSI products, that has just deleted his shopping basket. Now he's going to look closer at other mainboard brands.

  • Tecra M6-EZ6612: Bluetooth and WLan run at the same range of radio frequency

    Hi all
    I've a laptop that's Tecra M6-EZ6612 ...
i've got a problem that when i setup the bluetooth i've got a massege that says a conflict between the wireless and bluetooth ...
Both of them are working in same range of radio frequency !!!
So, i wonder how can i change the frequency range of the bluetooth device???!!!

Do not care about it. Bluetooth hardware v1.2 or v2.0 have a technology included called AFH="Adaptive Frequency Hopping" which tries to avoid any conflict with WLAN. It may only be a problem if you have a very old BT hardware (before 2004).

  • Bluetooth and WLAN

When Bluetooth is enabled and an device (loudspeaker) connected there is no Internet connection via WLAN. In a former iOS version I had the problem already, then after an update it was fixed and using 6.1.3 I have the problem again.

    i have found this product
Combo Desktop PCI Card: Wireless-G + Bluetooth
but i cant seem to find it for sale on any online stores.
does anybody know where i can get hold of one?

  • Missing bluetooth and airport?

    Hello lovelies,
My dad bought a 2nd hand Mac Mini to use with his HD TV to stream online TV and we've been having problems. Established it does all work fine but now trying to connect it to the accompanying bluetooth keyboard and mouse and the specs say it can't find any info about Bluetooth or Airport. Could they have been removed? I was expecting to go in and activate in the top right of the screen a la my MacBook. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
    Much love, Charley

    Hi Charley,
Some of the older mac minis were sold either pre-configured in the store or customized without an airport & bluetooth card (which are combined I believe in the mac mini). The reason why it's reporting "no info available" is simply because it is lacking the card. My recommendation would be to probably just buy a usb network dongle that you can plug in the back of your mini. It sure would be a lot easier then cracking open your mini which would void the Applecare service warranty (if it still applies to your mini).

  • Satellite L300-145 (PSLB0E) - graphic card, LAN and WLan missing

    Hi,
I've recently reinstalled windows Vista Home Premium but now I have some drivers missing.
The graphic card and both Lan and WLan are missing.
I've download and installed both Lan and graphic card controllers but i can't find the right WLan.
The problem is that, the USB Wlan card is not reconnized and is showing as "Unkown Device".
I looked under the properties inspector and i found that product id shows 2 values: USB\VID_0BdA%PID_8197&REV_0200 and USB\VID_0BA&PID_8197 and is found at Port_#0006Hub_#0007 also, under name of fisical object i find it to be \Device\USBPDO-9.
I'm not totally sure that this is the Wlan card but since is the only thing that's working correctly i figure that's it. I've tried intel, antheros and realtek drivers, allways reinstalling the previous one so no conflicts would happen, but still nothing happens and windows still doesen't reconnize itm so
Please, what's the card name and where can I find the RIGHT controller for it?

    Hi
First of all you really get all drivers for your notebook on the Toshiba website:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
The drivers are pretested so I can not imagine that none of them are working.
On this website http://www.pcidatabase.com I have searched for this vendor ID but I cant find anything. Only with the device ID 8197 it shows a Realtek WLAN card so I suppose you have to use this driver.
Please check it again!!! Make sure that you have installed SP2 at least and before you install the WLAN driver again, remove all other versions and clean the system using CCleaner.

  • Missing bluetooth peripheral device drive

I recently formatted my system and lost the functionality of several things. The most pressing being I can't connect my laptop through bluetooth to my phone (Nokia Lumia 920) and speakers (logitect boombox) and other devices. I am always told my bluetooth peripheral device drive is missing. I've updated my bluetooth through device manager but still nothing.
    Please help me!!!!

    @Idoroenyin
Is it only the Bluetooth you are having trouble with? Are you able to connect to the internet wirelessly or with an ethernet cable?
Are there any errors showing with the Bluetooth in device manager or with your wireless adapter?
Here are a few more pages I found for you to look at.

If you are experiencing general problems both with Bluetooth and wireless internet as well, it may be that the wlan card in your notebook is the problem.
Let me know what you find.

  • Missing Bluetooth Components on my Palm TX

I recently started getting a (Sys5050) (0,841) error message on my palm TX.  I followed advice from this blog community and performed a warm reset and it took the problem away.  Yea!
Not so yea!  Now I find out when I want to connect to the web via Bluetooth that I am "Missing Bluetooth Components" and that I should reinstall the software.
What software?  The Bluetooth came with the TX.  HELP!  PLEASE!
    Thanks in advance

Then your next task is a Hard Reset.  This will erase the device, and reload all the original software.
Once the Hard Reset is complete, test the BlueTooth radio to see if all is better.  If so, do a Hotsync and see if the problem returns.  If it returns, we'll try something different.
To perform a Hard Reset: (Palm Knowledgebase article #887)
    http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/887_en.html
While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button.
You should now see the warning page in about 5 languages. Press the UP direction on the 5-way pad to complete the task. Your Palm will reset itself several times as it re-installs the original programs and erases all your previous data.

  • PC Suite, Bluetooth and Windows 7 - Cannot autheni...

I had real problems getting PC Suite to connect via bluetooth to my 6300 phone.  I'm using a CSR type dongle which installed via plug and play using the Microsoft drivers.
I installed PC suite and followed the instruction to "connect a phone".   The phone was discovered and pairing attempted using the default 123 passkey.  I entered the passkey into the phone.  PC suite sat there for about 5 minutes, then came back with "Cannot authenicate phone".  This was tiresomely repeatable!
After much messing about I finally got the PC suite to authenticate the phone and its all working finel.  Here is what I did in case this helps anyone with the same problem:
    Install PC Suite.
From the Windows Start Menu In "Devices and Printers" the bluetooth device should be visible - Mine shows "CSR Bluetooth Radio"
Check the Bluetooth settings of the device "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" should checked
Still in" Devices and Printers", click on "Add Device", if the Bluetooth is working correctly, this should scan bluetooth and discover the phone (make sure the phone is set to visible or discoverable).
(An alternative method is to open Control Panel, under the "Hardware and Sound, there should be "Add Bluetooth device" option under "Devices and Printers". )
Select the phone and follow the instructions and pair the PC with phone.  This will involve entering the passkey generated by Windows
If successful the phone should now appear in the Devices list.  I now see "Nokia 6300" as a device.
The next steps are the ones I was missing: right click on the phone device and select Properties and then the "Services" tab
Windows should access the phone device for the services offered by the bluetooth phone.
    Check mark the following services:
    Dial-up Networking [DUN]
    Serial Port (SPP) 'COM1'
Serial Port (SPP) 'Nokia PC Suite'
    and click ok
Start up PC Suite and go through the "connect phone" procedure again and it should now connect successfully.
    Hope this works for you
    Chris

    Chris
    I do not have
    Dial up Networking (DUN)
    Serial Port (SPP) Comm1
Srial Port  (SPP) Nokia PC Suite
Instead, I have the following listed in the service tab
    Advanced Audio
    Handsfree Te;ephony Gateway
    Object Push (Obex)
    Remote Control
    Remotely controllable Device.
I am using Windows 7 Professional and my phone is a Nokia 808 V05 20

  • Droid X - Windows 7 - Missing bluetooth Peripheral driver

Anybody know how and/or where to fix the missing bluetooh peripheral driver to my windows 7 laptop?

If your computer does not have built-in bluetooth, and very few do, you have to buy a Bluetooth dingle. It has a usb connection. Once you place the dingle into one of the usb slots, Window 7 will do its thing and recognize the bluetooth.  Once this is accomplished, you can then have the Droid X bluetooth search for it and connect to it. However, I have a question. Why go through all this trouble, buying a bluetooth dingle, having the Droid find it, etc. It's so much easier to just connect your droid to your computer with the provided cord. Your computer will then show a new drive (your phone) and you can transfer files on your computer from your computer drive (usually C:/) to your phone (whatever letter is assigned to your Droid) and visa versa. It's so much easier and almost foolproof. Whereas, with bluetooth, its sometimes a hit and miss operation.

  • Which NB100 comes with Bluetooth and the sim card slot

i am wondering which model come with bluetooth and the sim card slot,

I was a little disappointed the Bluetooth is missing on the NB 1000 12A, agreed the Bluetooth logo is on the left side of the box although the actual product spec sticker is on the right side and it only mentions wireless b/g.
Some of the listings for this model online do say it has Bluetooth although its evident its not included.
I have ordered one of these to cover the lack of onboard Bluetooth support:

  • Satellite A300-15C - WLan crashes using BT and WLan simultaneously

    Hello,
I bought notebook Toshiba Satellite A300-15C last month.
I run Wifi and Bluetooth simultaneouly. Connecting by Wifi was crashing.
Then I disable Bluetooth and it was working perfectly.
How can I change Bluetooth frequency or why it is not working simultaneouly with Bluetooth?
I have notebook less than 10 meters from Access Point with 8.5dBi Outdoor Antenna and signal is not.
Other Access Point is 20 meters from antenna and it is working with full speed.
    Why signal is not?
I have Windows Vista Home Premium with latest drivers.
    Ales Pospichal

    Hi
What do you mean by crashing??
    > Other Access Point is 20 meters from antenna and it is working with full speed
Does it mean that you can receive the WLan signals from another access point correctly using the BT and WLan together???
If this is the case then it could be a compatibility issue with your another WLan router.
Im not quite sure what WLan card you have, but I would recommend updating the WLan driver firstly and the BIOS if available.

  • Addressbook Bluetooth and iSync - Get numbers off phone to AB

    Greetings,
There were many topics on this after a search but I couldn't find an answer I could understand. Forgive me if I am a little slow.
I plan to buy the iPhone here in the next few days. My old Motorola RAZR V3 has bluetooth and works flawless by syncing AB with the phone by using iSync. However, none of the phone numbers from my phone (Which weren't in AB before) end up in my AB. Am I doing something wrong here?
I never used any type of sync before since I didn't need a media device but now I guess I do? Apparently iPhone has a new built in SIM card and I can't transfer my numbers if I don't do this?
Thanks.. Oh... What is really the difference between iSync and the Sync in addressbook? Everytime I click the bluetooth icon in AB it asks to pair then nothing happens?
    //Cheers

That happens if you've got your contacts stored on your SIM card in the RAZR. Transfer them to your phone, then they'll magically appear in address book. I've found as well that for some reason the bluetooth pairing in address book doesn't do much, iSync does though.

  • TS3048 Bluetooth and USB ports aren't working can't connect mouse or keyboard.

Bluetooth and USB ports aren't working, so am unable to use Imac past turning it on. There's no way to connect mouse or keyboard, it started right after a software update for Maverick (OS X bash Update 1.0 – OS X Mavericks), bluetooth symbol not showing in the task bar at all.

    Hi SBrwn,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The symptom you're describing can be frustrating to troubleshoot as our options are limited. I do suggest resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) if you have not already. This step can help you regain use of USB and Bluetooth.
Follow these steps to reset the SMC on your iMac:
Resetting the SMC for Mac Pro, Intel-based iMac, Intel-based Mac mini, or Intel-based Xserve
Shut down the computer. [by holding down the power button]
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
You can find these steps and more information at this link:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    All the best,
    Jeremy
